Showed up for my 8am appointment at 8:08. She said I was way to late and they couldn’t do it. She had zero compassion for my crying baby and the fact that I couldn’t find childcare. Yes I understand I was late but it was 8 minutes.... she didn’t even try to help get me in. I can find childcare for my baby so not I’m forced to go emerge because they won’t accept me coming in with him. Honestly they don’t even deserve one star.

I arrived quite early and without my care card ( forgot at home). The front desk lady was very understanding and checked me in after doing her do diligence. I had the scan done almost a half hour before my scheduled time by a very professional, pleasant technician. My experience was very positive.

Bad service, appointment spots get filled up too quickly and they aren't willing to accommodate appointments you missed, even if you have a required follow up with a doctor that relies on the one you had with this facility. A very "oh, you missed your appointment? And you have a very important meeting with a doctor next week that relies on this test? We're soo booked up right now so we'll reschedule you for next month. That's nice that there's a massive fallout for you, but you need us to be around so deal with it." type of mentality.

They changed the day of our ultrasound very last minute, causing us a big inconvenience. Since we couldn't reschedule childcare, they forced us to cancel. Scheduling staff was indifferent and unresponsive when we explained our circumstances.

THEY LET A STRANGER INTO MY APPOINTMENT WITHOUT MY CONSENT! The tech, my husband, and a STRANGER all sat there watching the inside of MY BODY while I cried staring up at the ceiling. They didn't so much as offer a tissue, ask if I was in pain, or ask anything. You get treated less than human here and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I did today.

This is the most unprofessional and rude service I have ever experienced. Went in for my first ultrasound very excited. The technician was short and rude and acted like I was 1 in 10 people she had to rush through before she could take her lunch break. She was miserable and wouldn’t talk at all during the ultrasound or even show me where the screen was to look at. I went from being excited to experience my first ultrasound to leaving in tears. The technicians should enjoy their job and at least have some compassion and kindness. I called the office ahead of my second appointment to request a different technician for my second appointment as I wanted it to be a happy and positive experience. The receptionist was very rude and did not care that I had had a technician the last time who was rude and cold and told me there’s nothing she can do to prevent it happening again. I’m requesting my doctor book me at west coast family medical imagining for all future appointments.

25 February 2021 at 9:30am I was scared when I read the reviews but then I was received by a kind receptionist and the tech was super kind and super helpful. I asked for a pic of the baby after we were done and she would do that all over again So probably the island ultrasound changed staff after the horrible reviews? I am giving 4 stars not 5 because I waited for almost 30 mins before being called in although I came on time

After an hour of waiting for my ultrasound I asked the reception if she had any idea how much longer it was going to be, she told me she had no idea, then I discovered the person before me hadn't gone in yet (so she had some idea). after 1.45 hours I was told that the tech was behind but I could wait 15 more minutes or reschedule, I decided to wait as I had cancelled my day and gotten a sitter. After 15 minutes I was told by someone else to go home, as it wasn't going to happen. I rescheduled for 3 days later that week first thing, when I got to that appointment I was told that the appointment had been cancelled because I had already had an ultrasound on the Monday. Finally after getting really upset I was told "to calm down" and after going to talk to someone was told that they would try to squeeze me in. I did get in that morning after a half hour wait, but it was a super quick rushed exam. Not one person apologized or took responsibility for what happened, instead they were rude and blamed other people. The new ultrasound tech, was the only person who apologized and tried to make up for things and she had nothing to do with it. I wrote the company a letter and never heard back. I will NEVER go there again

Things to improve on; -Answer the phone or return calls -When rescheduling or cancelling appts. speaking with the patient helps. -Respect other people’s time!

This is a terrible operation. No-one ever answers the phone to book an appointment, we played telephone tag for several days before being able to book an appointment. Just like many other of the reviewers we were also called 2 hours before the appointment to inform us that the appointment was cancelled due to the doctor being "sick". We had to take the day off work to attend this appointment as we live in the gulf island and take the ferry, so this was very annoying.

They called and left voicemail an hour before my appointment a messagei didn't get. Super unorganzied for a place that is supposed to bring reassurance to expectant mother's.....but they just stress them out even more leaving them in limbo.....not knowing if this baby isoki Not ok!!!!!!

I have had 2 appointments here. One with a sad outcome, and one with a terrific outcome. Both times I was treated with genuine care and professionalism by warm staff members from the front desk to the tech to the head radiologist. When I saw that my 20 week ultrasound would be at this clinic (tomorrow...yay!) I was really happy as I have not had as great an experience at the other local clinic or medical imaging at Vic General.

Worst service ever. My review is less than a zero. Appointment for 8:00 a.m., they ask you to come in 20 minutes before your appointment, so actual appointment time 7:40 a.m. I arrive to be told "your appointment is cancelled." They tell you that they tried to call, but don't call to cancel my appointment at 7:15 a.m. that morning. If you ask people to come in 20 minutes early, don't you think they would have left their house already? It does take some travel time. Perhaps come into work earlier, so you can catch people before they leave their house -in the case one of your staff fall ill during the flu season. I waited an entire year for the appointment. There is another ultrasound place -ask your doctor to refer you to them, you get in within a month.

I had an appointment booked for months and was looking forward to finding out what was going on with me. 5 days before my appointment they called me and canceled my appointment and said I would get another letter in the mail with appointment details within a few weeks. I still haven’t received a letter and I have been waiting since May of this year to get an ultrasound. I’m not the only person I know who’s had a bad experience here, the technicians tend to be very rude.

The front desk cancelled by ultrasound without informing me of it. I changed my work schedule and found out at the appointment they cancelled. The front desk went on to explain that it was cancelled because the same doctor order 2 ultrasounds 2 weeks apart and that 2 wasn't necessary. I explained that TWO different doctors order the ultrasound. She did not believe me and wan't proof of my appointment. Luckily I had my requisition with me. I girl at the front it not very bright at all. She FINALLY understood that two different doctors ordered it. The front desk doesn't care at all about the patient. She is cold, snobby and flakey.

Worst ultrasound experience I have ever had!!! I was so excited to see my baby today but the screen for me to watch was blank. The tech made no attempt to try and get it to work. I understand that she needs to be able to see her screen but I would have appreciated even the slightest angle towards me so I could have seen too. Instead I got to leave with 3 very poor images of my baby, not one glimpse and with a very deflated mood. She didn't even let us hear the heartbeat. She was definitely not a people person and needs to work on her bedside manner. I will request that all my future ultrasound appointments do not take place here. Unfortunately it doesn't give me an option to leave less than 1 star because even that is too generous.

after reading the reviews I just have to say: did you get the test you needed? Did you pay for it? If you think this place is so poorly run why do you think the poor clerk/tech has to be warm and fuzzy since they work for this terrible operation

I was a referral from emergency at RJH from the night before. They called me early the next morning at my home so I could make plans to get there, gave excellent directions to the site ,and I was taken in right on time at 10 am. I found the staff very nice and the technician was excellent.

Heavenly Lord! THREE TIMES they have not let me know about my appointment. And when I explain I have to drop my son off at school at 8:30, she books me for 8:30! I have yet to rebook after another WEEK of waiting! I am having pregnancy complications and this scan should have been completed by now, we may not get every result we need because this place is the most ridiculous run around telephone tag operation I have ever encountered. To the people who say “Hey at least you’ll be in eventually and won’t have to pay”...hello, we all pay taxes. No one books an ultrasound for fun and many times it’s a very time sensitive issue. I already hate this place and I’ll be telling my OBs to never send me there again.

First time mom. Went in today for my anatomy ultrasound. Didn’t have to wait at all. The tech was fantastic. Very friendly. She Made me very comfortable, showed us and explained everything to us. Grabbed some fantastic photos of my little one. Thank you so much.

after almost losing a pregnancy I had been ordered an ultrasound to check to see if I was at risk for preterm labour. Although the exam was not on the baby specifically the tech refused to let me see the baby and kept moving the device over and around to avoid getting a shot of the baby. The tech later explained that if I wanted to gather information regarding my ultrasound I could request it through the freedom of information. I was very confused as I hadn't asked for medical information regarding my ultrasound only to "view" my baby briefly. The tech I had was rude, abrupt and rough as well as she kept pushing down on my stomach at angles to avoid capturing a shot of the baby at all. Horrible experience-

The front desk staff was very cold and rude, the wait time wasn't bad I only waited 15 minutes to get in. Both techs that did my ultra sound were very nice, one was a student and she was kind, informative and professional, and so was the other tech who came it to check on her work. They made the 3 stars happen. Perhaps look into employing front desk staff who are friendly and kind. If you choose to work a job interacting with the public you should have people skills and be personable not rude.

Absolute terrible service and I haven’t even had my appointment yet. First of all I had to call multiple times to even get my appointment information. I left voicemails and they never got returned. I never received anything in the mail about my appointment which apparently they send information that way. I finally got threw to the receptionist and was given the info I needed. She then forgot to mention that I needed to be 20 minutes early.
