We've got the feddbacks of real people like you who consumed the services and products of Esquimalt Medical Clinic (Hospital) in the area close to Esquimalt (Canada).
To this day the firm has a rating of 3.2 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 58 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we may think that the score is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Hospital is included in the category of Medical office.
I just wanted to say thanks to the staff and Doctor. You folks are saved me until I visit the Dentist this week.
Not a walk in clinic.
Not once in the three years have I ever been welcomed and got a appointment every time I've ever walked in there very ignorant and not once have they ever said yes ma'am we are taking patients every single time I have ever walked into this place they have told me no we're not accepting patients were full even at 11am in the morning go somewhere else if u need horrible people work here must be a great job always turning away sick people never accepting them to see a doctor always turning them away same were full even when the waiting room is empty
Got scheduled for 11am today and the nurse told me I'm not in the system and was not scheduled. It really upsets me when people who are dealing with people's health are so careless. If I could mark it zero stars I would. So disappointed.
Dr Asplin is the worst doctor. Always late and never gives you time to talk about what you are actually there for. Beyond annoyed with this clinic
It's not the location, I go there because of the staff. I personally like the Doctor I see there.
I have a regular doctor here but often use the walkin clinic. I find the staff extremely competent and although I often see them eating it is always cold food so there is no odour (ie:McDonalds). I have only 1 item that is a pet peeve with the various walkin doctors and that is when I need refills on prescriptions (none are narcotics)more times than not the walkin doctor fills my prescriptions but changes the frequency or the dosage which causes confusion at the pharmacy and causes me to run out 'early' because they decrease the dosage. It happens all the time. And they do check my file and see my meds and dosages so I'm puzzled by this.
Are they hard to get thru to? Sure, it'll take a few tries. However, everyone who works here, no matter the volume they've been dealing with, is always kind, helpful and respectful. Huge props to this clinic!! You guys are amazing.
I went there, they don't let you in. (Sign on the door says to call, and they pretend they can't see you through the glass) So I called, and I could see them just chatting, not answering the phone. So annoying.
Front desk was very helpful and polite and Dr. Nielson was extremely professional and caring!
Went to this clinic today July 14 2018 waited 45 minutes just for some young doctor to tell me I had an infection in my leg and write prescription for antibiotics never even answered any of my questions and sent me on my way ended up going to hospital just to be sure and turns out no infection at all this place sucked from my experience and could not even understand the girl at the front desk when she found time to dig her nose out from the game she was playing on computer
I would like to thank the awesome girls at the front desk and Dr. Neilsen. He is very caring and patient and a great listener.
You can call them the same as your ex's stalker call you !And they ignore calls like I ignore when my ex calls me! no matter how many times you call, you need luck to be answered, and keep your fingers crossed so they don't forget if they put you on hold
The Staff are Stellar Probably the Best in the City and the Doctor's are Real People that Treat you with Respect! (Well Done)
Its entirely a mixed bag. Sometimes the experience is quick, easy, and helpful! But more often now either I can’t call the phone, or a doctor will ask something insensitive about my gender designation. Ive been trying to get a spot for 2 weeks for an important shot and I was completely unable to over the phone. Im going to a different clinic and looking into a better long-term solution
I have come here twice in serious pain with health concerns and have been sent away without treatment or follow up. Doctors are always in a hurry and never seem to have time to listen or understand, I feel like I'm been rushed out of the office as fast as possible every time.
Been calling to make appointment for four days and have yet to have the phone answered even one time. Went there in person to find out what's going on and wasn't allowed in the door without appointment ???? called on the phone, heard phone ringing thru the glass door and windows, saw the staff chatting it up while I called three times and pointed thru the window at the phone... These "people" are disgusting.
This clinic is great , I always manage to see a doctor on the same day. A lot of clinic in Victoria nowadays turn you away.
They accepted payment for an appointment, then failed to answer their front desk phone lines for over a week. Everyday I try to call and nobody answers, give me my money back or give me an appointment!!! They are aware that I have needed a prescription refill and have left me without it for almost 10 days now. If you show up in-person the staff ignores you and tells you to call instead. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone with time-sensitive issues!
This office was so relaxed and friendly. I felt at ease immediately
This clinic is a joke. Trying to get through on their phone line is like trying to enter a radio contest. There is no hold line, you just have to keep calling over and over. They also all take lunch together and leave no one to man the phones, leaving you with a very small window of time to get an appointment. On top of all this, when my wife needed her prescription filled before a trip, they sent the wrong mg amount to the pharmacy, and wouldn't answer the pharmacist for 2 days to fix the issue. Cannot believe this clinic is still operating, but I can certainly understand why their ratings are so sub-par.
I am so impressed with the humour, grace and desire to help I have experienced at this clinic. Staff are friendly and professional and the walk in clinic Doctor is exceptional. I almost don't want to tell anyone about it except they deserve praise.
They don’t answer the phone really (? They obviously don’t really care about people doctors are prima donnas No accountability No private opinions we really need a private opinion would strengthen the current System government monopoly’s don’t work You or someone you know are next stay healthy!!!
A 20 person lineup for a "walkin"visit is just crazy when its -10 for a whole hour 8am till 9am. Staying outside is just asking for sickness. When a person has full medical coverage. W.T.Heck
good clinc
the 2 girls in front are nice and helpful, they try to squeeze me in when they feel am not doing ok which is great, Thank you guys
Staff and Doctors are very pleasant and helpful. Sure you need patience to get through for an appointment, but I feel fortunate to have an option after our family doctors left due to retirement, health problems, or better oportunities. People spend all day their cell phones so re-dialing for up to 1/2 hour should not be a big deal! Spotless well kept waiting room and tons of easy parking. So grateful they are willing to work so hard and risk their own health to help us!
Never answer the phone! I tried 193 times from 9 am to 9:35 am.....nothing but a recording that changed after 9:30. Really lame!
dr zandi is the worst dermotologist i have ever seen she asked no questions looked at my skin condition and said theres nothing there lol and told me she had no advice .. i would not wait any time for this doctor
There was a wait of course, but they let me come and go. When I arrived for the time they gave me I didn't want too long. Receptionist was nice and the doctor was fantastic! Completely non-judgmental and funny. I had quite a few questions and he was very patient. Will go to this walk-in clinic if dr Nielsen is the walk in doc again!
Dr. Jervis is the best family doctor I've ever had. He's personable and very smart.
I echo all the disappointed reviews here. It took my wife and years to get a family doctor in Victoria and honestly, I wish we hadn't even bothered. When it is easier to use viva care or some other tele health service than it is to get an appointment with a personal family doctor something is seriously wrong. 2 out of the 3 times I've got an appointment (after calling 30+ times) Dr. Brar failed to send the prescription to my pharmacy. Which I didn't discover until I drove there to pick it up. Then I had to wait until the next working day to call another 30+ times during my own work break to correct the mistake they made. I am seriously considering contacting a local MLA to investigate the extreme level of incompetency at this clinic. There should be a basic standard level of service to operate as a medical clinic
Like Many others have said Dr Asplin is completly unable to do her job, seems to say shes a doctor but sure dosn't act like one
The ladies in the front desk are kind and very helpful. Dr. Anthony Nielsen is very professional. He introduced himself and explained well my queries. He is kind and funny as well. ???? Thank you for the wonderful service!
Showed up 20 minutes before opening, landed a #3 spot and told I would in around 9:20am. Both people ahead of me were done and left around 9:20 and 9:25. During this time, 4 people had came in for the walk in clinic as well, one person had an appointment. They had told the front desk people nothing about their reasons or symtoms for being there, making them no more or less urgent than me. One medical office assistant had led all the people who came after me to doctor's rooms. One assistant then called my name and attempted to put me in a room because I was next but they were all occupied, seconds before all because of the other assistant. This assistant then proceeded to tell me of how they must have missed me. During my entire waiting time leading up to my name being called and after they seated me back down again, all I heard was the assistants not only eating mcdonalds behind the counter, but only talking about their personal lives, in which I fully understand that they should be allowed to talk, but to get so distracted to completely miss me and make me wait an extra 40 mins makes my visit completely unpleasant and makes them seem completely unprofessional. Especially eating the fast food on the counters. Now my reason for bumping my review up to two stars is because the doctor who helped me was actually helpful and did his job.
For over a year I had a sore on my lip that looked like a cold sore but without the symptoms of a cold sore. I had two Doctors look at it. One Doctor took a picture, another Doctor took a biopsy and sent it away for diagnosis. No answers to what the infection was. I finally went to see Dr Zandi, She took one look at the sore and correctly diagnosed it as - Actinac Chelliotis. Translation - a sunburned lip. Treatment- two sessions of LNG. In 2-3 weeks cured!!! A very good Doctor that I highly recommend..
I've had very positive experiences at the clinic. They very hard, given the circumstances, to be responsive to patient needs.
Dr. Jervis is rude and abrasive. He reluctantly gave me a pelvic ultrasound to look at my ovaries and shared his thoughts about how progesterone tests are pointless and don’t say anything that is worth trusting. The pain I experience is worth trusting regardless of that. I then mentioned my pain when I press in my liver/ abdominal area and he said he "didn’t have time to review my entire medical history, it’s already been 20 minutes”. Too bad he didn’t look over my medical history (he just had to feel my stomach) instead of telling me that progesterone tests are pointless.
Normally you can leave and come back. This time the receptionist (not a Dr) wanted to "watch me" to see if my chest pain was getting worse. Yep it's still there, what a surprise. After an hour and a half wait already, 5 more people still ahead of me, I'm allowed to leave and come back. It will be my last visit.
DONT BOTHER CALLING! they only book one day in advance and I called 36 times today unable to speak to anyone, on the 37th call they told me there's no more times for the following day and to do it all over again tomorrow. I am now unable to get my prescription on time, worst booking system and waste of your time...
Only visited once but thought it was a good place. There was a crazy long wait even though it was first thing in the morning but they said I they would put me on the list and to come back in 2 hours so I was able to get somethings done. Of course if I had been sicker this would still have been rough to have to sit for that long as I had to walk there. The doctor was good and listened.
Such an awful clinic. The front desk girls are constantly on their phones, and the doctors are always late. All the doctors there are pretty young and RUDE, they talk over you and really don't seem to care about what you have to say.
Have been here many times and consistently have a great experience. The receptionists are friendly, the place is clean, and the doctors are knowledgeable and don't rush to drugs as the first solution.
Our family has found the medical and clerical staff are excellent. Any doctor whom we have seen is caring and knowledgeable. We are so thankful for this excellent service.
I, like most do not have a family doctor. I did need some tests done and needed a dr. to be able to sign off on the results. I went to the Esquimalt medical clinic and was greeted and assisted by Megan. She was incredible! Asked the right questions, allowing me to be complete in my answers. This super hero was able to get me in within a half hour! I know call ripley's believe it or not but it's true. Dr. Salmon was attentive to my concern and gave me clear instruction on how we would proceed. It could not have gone better. Thank you!
I saw Dr. Billesburger on Wednesday the second of October. She was everything a doctor is meant to be caring efficient and had a lovely bedside manner. So appreciative, from a newly settled islander without a family doctor. Shirly Reimer
Nice reception, but I doubt I’ll be going back. Used the wrong gender on my care card, got my health care number wrong. LGBTQ friendly? I felt like I could not be myself, let alone if you legally changed your gender marker, then it should be reflected on your chart and profile you would think. I thought clinics here had proficient and professional training around sensitive issues like that? There’s a lot of folk out there like myself that have to be stealth at work or can’t disclose certain information about themselves or we would get fired etc. C’mon it’s almost 2022 and this shouldn’t be an issue. I’m originally from a conservative area myself and I had zero issues when I lived there. I’m going elsewhere now for medical needs.
