If I could rate it 0 I would. I would like to know if it is normal or deemed acceptable that my husband has yet to see a cardiologist 4 months post a heart attack (Admitted to Lakeshore June 17th with STEMI). All that has been done was a stress test and it took months to get that appointment. And when one was obtained it has since gotten pushed, twice!!! So he still has not had a follow up since he was discharged or after his test that was done in August. Not to mention that no one ever responds when we call or return messages. And I am not exaggerating or being dramatic. We had to drive to the clinic to make our appointment as our first 3 messages went unanswered for 2 weeks.
This morning they tried to push his appointment by 2 months! My husband negotiated for Nov. Completely unacceptable. After pushing him already twice surely there was another patient that could be moved, I refuse to believe that there was not. Am I supposed to believe that a patient that has yet to see his doctor or started any sort of rehab is not a priority???
This clinic has to be held accountable to someone. Don’t make all the comments that are said about our health care system be true. And don’t give me the "our resources are limited" excuse, because that is all it is. Excuses. Do not tell me patient care is your number one priority. If it was, this clinic would not be run this way.
