Had a surgery performed (hernia) by Dr. Gabor Fuzosi and the service was outstanding, fast and every steps of the process were properly explained to me. Nurses were very friendly and helpful, would recommend this hospital anytime!

I see everyone with their really negative comments, but my personal experience recently was a positive one. I went in with vision loss a few weeks ago and severe migraine. I went through triage, put into a room and had several test done such as CT scan, blood work etc. and was out within 4 hours, I was referred to a specialist and within 2 weeks saw the specialist. the doctor and nurses were great. We also had to bring our son to the hospital a little over a week ago. there were no beds and were taking emergency cases only, but the nurse saw the pain our son was in and called the doctor into the triage room where she determined that he had an ear infection and gave him some medication. were were home in less than an hour. Again, these were my personal experiences and others may vary.

One star is very generous for the service we received tonight. After a 61/2 hr waite we were called into a room and told to remove the dressing. I had to go through the cabinet to find 2 bottles of saline water that were 1/2 full each, we're they even sterile? Don't know but didn't have much choice, got out dressings, put on gloves and soaked the dried dressings off, only to see a Dr. (I think, he did not identify himself) for a few minutes, told to watch for infection, ice it, oh and here I'll give you a prescription for antibiotics. Never even bothered to put a dressing on it, but then we would probably would have to have done it ourselves, heaven forbid if their pizza got cold...meanwhile you sit there past supper time with nothing to eat. Sorry to say but this is not done!!!!!!!!!!

Nurse grabbed my arm and didn’t give me the options for the needle, and didn’t stop when asked. Only stopped when I had to call out for help.

Palliative care personnel are very king and amazing with my grandfather.

Worst hospital around it’s like a vet if the doctor doesn’t want to treat you or give you a blood test they’ll just send you home after you waited 2/3 hours

I had a downhill bike accident with a tree running into me and was seriously hurt and in pain. I laid on my back in the waiting room with my legs up for 10hrs to reduce swelling in my legs. I ended up calling in some Tylenol from my parents and then leaving without help. This Hospital is understaffed and has very rude staff. Shame on you!

I am so upset that I can barely write this without crying. My 82 year old Mom went to a medical clinic today, two nurse practitioners looked at her suggested we go to the hospital because they thought she had a blood cloth in her leg. I brought her there at 2:30 pm, they left her wait until 10:30pm. And after 8 hours of waiting, they still couldn't see her so we came home. I understand if they were busy but a blood clot in your leg should have been assessed no matter what. A doctor could have just sent her for blood work and a ultrasound. I will go to another city and hope they can help her. Unacceptable Healthcare.

Horrible hospital with declining care for years now.

My positive experience is limited to one department, one doctor, DR Benghida, a pulmonologist. Five stars go to him. My baaaad experience was with the rude uncaring staff and nurses (I cannot name them). Only one star to them. The waiting time is eternal, while in other places, we get immediate assistance. I think one day someone will die in the waiting room due to the long waiting time!

Excessive wait times. People shouldn't be left waiting up to 14 hours in pain. Rude staff and doctors. Dirty and poorly sign posted. Don't bother with this place just go to Bathurst instead. I've seen so many people that were injured just give up and turn around and leave while sitting there waiting for 6+ hours. .

Definitely the worst hospital I’ve ever been to by a long shot. I’ve been to hospitals in third world countries that provided me much better care. If your life is in danger you have better odds of surviving by going all the way to the hospital in Bathurst. If I could, I would give them a minus -10 stars. I must say it’s not the staff’s fault, they clearly have no budget to hire competent and professional people.

Terrible food. Good care

I would give 0 stars if I could.

My toddler suffered a seizure (so we think?) throughout the night. The ambulance was called (who were absolutely wonderful!) and we were taken to hospital. I made a video to document the event that occurred, incase it wouldn't be witnessed by the health professionals. Upon arrival, the nurse struggled to take my sons vitals (as he is a toddler) she became frustrated and left the room. The doctor came in and did not even physically touch my son. No blood work was done or testing. He did listen to his chest with his stethoscope but that was it. He watched the video and felt it "wasn't life threatening" and we were sent home, with absolutely zero answers. We were there maybe 35 minutes. We are still on a wait list (this happened mid august) for testing to find out why. We live in fear that it happens again throughout the night (or while in childcare while we are at work).

Wouldn’t go there if I was dying

Called ahead of time this morning because a coworker seriously injured his knee in a work accident. I said we were in the way and would be there in a few minutes, and he was is extreme extreme pain. I asked if someone could meet us at the door with a wheelchair for help. The guy who answered the phone says: "Yeh well there's wheel chair access if he needs it.." On arrival, no wheel chair, no staff. Had to unload the injured co worker all alone, while he was screaming bloody murder. This place is a real joke. Don't go here unless your dying, and even if so, I wouldnt recommend it. Shame on you
