Worst service I've ever received and absolute rip off for the price. I'm still waiting for a refund. I ordered TV access, but the TV in the room wasn't working. It took them 2 days to send in a engineer only to inform me the device was broken and they codlin;t fix it. To apply for a refund I had to fill out a form and mail a receipt to them. it's been 2 weeks and there is no one in my account, no answer to my emails, no answer to my calls. They had no problem taking a card payment over the phone in a matter of minutes, but giving duly owed money back will have you jumping through rediculous hoops. ****PLEASE CAN SOMEONE FROM THIS SERVICE GET BACK TO ME?****

Don't waste your money - bring your own media if you can. My mom was hospitalized for a few days so we ordered TV on-line for her around 2pm of day 1. She only had service for 3 hrs before she was moved 2 more times, but the service did not catch up to the 3rd room until 9pm. She lost TV service the next morning and it was not restored before 8pm (when we then ordered her a phone). She was released around 2pm on day 3 and we now have a Visa bill of $44.86 and the posting date is the day before she was admitted - really?!?). They gave us no confirmation number or breakdown of charges and trying to now request a refund is even more painful than being hospitalized. You need to complete an on-line refund request form on their website plus that confirmation number that we were not given, and when you click on 'Submit Form' it does not work. The website states that they will only begin the refund process when they have the online request and an original invoice mailed to their head office (welcome to the dark ages..) and all this must be submitted within thirty (30) days following the date of hospital release. As the online form doesn’t work, I now have to call their office during my busy weekday and hope I get a live body, because unlike the hospitals and patients Hopitel Inc. claims to serve, they are not a 24-7 operation. Recently had to stay in the hospital for a week. Not only was the service great, they had a wide variety of movies to watch. Have to give extra kudos to the wonderful agent who actually passed by my room just to check up on me!

A friend of mine was in the hospital watching a musical. Suddenly the sound went off. A really sweet technician woman came in and fixed the issue right away. Did not have to wait she was there for us within 15 minutes. During these difficult times she was fortunate to have a reliable person helping her. If there was a 0 star rating I would give it these unprofessional jokers. Paid for service for my sick family member, Hopitel couldn't even set it up properly, and instead of refunding my credit card demanded I write a letter to their head office requesting a refund. Unbelievable that the Ottawa Hospital lets these clowns get away with it.

Poor customer service, and they charge for services that are unused. I am not going to leave a long review, but I do need to say that this company takes advantage of people in vulnerable situations. If you have the choice of renting equipment for your loved ones in hospital, I would stay far away from Hopitel Inc.

Let me start by saying it is bad enough that the service and processes are awful but when you add this with a monopoly and sickness and suffering it is unacceptable. My recommendation to you is to NOT use this service. It is better to ask a friend for an ipad or tablet to use or read books if possible rather than give your money to these people. I am awaiting a call from a supervisor to explain the frustration over the past 9 days in dealing with my husband and his hospital stay. Disgusting.

De plus, la dame a insisté pour qu'en aucun cas la feuille photocopiée indiquant les postes ne soit égarée, ce qui a causé du stress à ma mère qui a eu peur que la dite feuille ne tombe par terre. Combien coûte une feuille de papier? La qualité de l'image à l'écran de la télévision était celle d'une image à basse résolution qu'on a étirée, donc floue et désagréable à regarder. Le poste de télévision était installé sur le mur de côté au lit, sans l'option de bien l'avancer devant soi, ce qui a donné mal au cou de ma mère qui devait le garder tourné. Le casque d'écoute à 3$ est inconfortable et l'anneau de métal qui encercle la tête cause de la douleur à la tête. Mon père a donc dû trouver de meilleurs écouteurs pour ma mère. Je n'ai pas renouvelé le contrat avec Hopitel. Je vous conseille à tous de garder votre argent au lieu de l'offrir à cette compagnie dont le monopole ne la motive guère à rendre un bon service.

Quand on appelle le support technique, on est avisés que TOUTE L'ÉQUIPE prend ses pauses en même temps, et de rappeler dans x minutes. Je n'ai jamais vu ceci d'une équipe de support technique qui se respecte. Je n'aurais jamais pensé que je m'ennuierais des télévisions CRT mais ce service, aussi archaïque qu'il était, fonctionnait.

My grandfather was in and out of the hospital for many years. Each time he was admitted or changed rooms, it was so easy to set up the TV which really made his and my grandmothers stay a little easier. The service was amazing and fast. A couple years later my aunt was admitted to the hospital and she was set up with a TV in no time. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend. It’s one thing to bring an iPad but the internet is terrible. Hopitel gave my family a chance to take their mind of the hardships of staying in the hospital. Thank you for such consistently great service!

TERRIBLE AFTER SALE SERVICE. We ordered a tv/movie package. The movies never worked and the hardware was not working properly and by the time they sent ( 4 day later ) someone to take a look at the equipment the technician validated that something was wrong with the unit. When we called to get a refund, they give you the runaround and some weak excuses They make you print your receipt (like they don’t have it on file) and mail it in as a request for a refund. SAVE YOU TIME AND ENERGY AND DON’T GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR MONEY

BYOD! We purchased a phone for several days for an elderly family member whom does not own a phone. When they were moved to a different room the new room’s jack did not work. Unfortunately we were told by the company that we were out of luck and that there is no refund despite the fact that they can’t / will not be providing the service we paid for. We were not told there were no refunds when we purchased the service.
