Being honest... I have had bad experiences here before but the last time they did enough to change my mind. Kudos for Andrea at the front desk! Polite, efficient and awared about patient's needs and frustration so she took care of the situation and provided me solutions instead of excuses. Thanks!

Crossed the doors and talked to the receptionist immediately. Sat down and was called by the triage nurse within 15 minutes. 45 minutes later I had seen the doctor and I was out the door.

Absolutely unprofessional doctors, administration, and ombudsman. The resident doctors do not know what they are doing. I had to go to emergency to get a proper diagnosis, and even with that information, the resident doctor has never offered any treatment for any of my medical issues. She frequently forgets to give me the referrals she says she will give me, is not capable of filling out a medical form properly, just sits there staring at her computer, lies that she gave me a necessary referral when she didn’t. This experience has been the same with every single resident doctor that I have seen there. Basically, I am left with no proper diagnosis, no treatment, no resources — a waste of time. The administration is not helpful, they do not return calls, or help with getting missing referrals, etc. The ombudsman is extremely unprofessional. They claim that they will help you get your needs met, but they don’t even reply to email complaints. I was a patient at the Herzl in the 80s when it was known as an excellent family clinic, now it is a disorganized, unprofessional waste of time. Imagine being seriously ill and being treated in such an unprofessional and humiliating manner — it is a horrible experience.

It’s always complicated to book an appointment, the secretaries are really rude, especially the one at the team 4 on the second floor. My family doctor is at this hospital and it is a headache for me every time to see him! And the lady at the front desk at the second floor is another problem, very disrespectful! She was talking to her coworkers, answered her phone twice and then yelled at me in front of everybody when I asked a question. If you cant handle the stress of being a receptionist then quit, not my problem if you're stressed and take it out on patients. Do your job properly.

it used to be the best clinic and advised everyone to go. I had an appointment that eas taken 6 weeks ago since this was a follow up from my car accident .... receptionis had given me an appointment with the wrong Dr. then when I ask for my next appointment im 4 weeks . The staff are ridiculously racist towards the clientele, and the doctors do not care one bit about their patients. After 5 to 6 hours of waiting to see a doctor, all they do is examine you for 5 minutes and then send the results to the Jewish General Hospital where you have to wait another 2-3 days for them to call you with the results. A simple cold and flu symptoms results can take up to 3 days to receive an antibiotics prescription.

So far I've called 7 times trying to reach someone to set and urgent appointment with my family doctor, it rings for 3 to 9 minutes each time and no one picks up, doesn't matter what line you dial. How am I supposed to make an appointment if I can't drive an hour to make one in person?! Extremely disappointed, this is the Worst service I've ever experienced with a clinic.

One receptionist who has blond hair is not polite. She thinks everybody know the rules and doesn't explain enough. It was not just once. Any time I went there she has had this behavior. Except her, other things specially the doctors are ok but not perfect. First thing that personnels in this places need, is patience.

This is the listing for the Herzl Family Practice Centre (for people who have a family doctor), not for the Herzl CRIU walk-in clinic (for people without an appointment) or for the Jewish General Hospital as a whole. I've been going to Herzl for years. The doctors are residents, so every two years you get a new family doctor who is supervised by a more experienced doctor. The wait times can be a bit long on busy days and the doctors are a bit inexperienced in their first few months of residency, but the doctors, nurses and receptionnists have always been wonderful at trying to help with whatever issue I had. When my doctor wasn't available, I was able to get an appointment with someone else or speak to a nurse over the phone. The main receptionnists are too busy having personal conversations to pay attention to someone waiting to register. The clinic is connected to the Jewish General, so you can get any testing done fairly quickly. Update: Service has really gone downhill lately. No one ever answers the phone, so good luck getting an appointment.

It was such a relief to find a walkin clinic that is open on weekends! The nurse in A&E at Montreal General Hospital transferred my case file to the Herzl Clinic. Fewer than two hours later an attending rang me to discuss my case. Half an hour later, an admissions officer rang me to register me for an appointment on Saturday morning. The clinuc was clean, quiet, welcoming, and efficient. It is a pity they are at capacity for new patients (3500!), because I would appreciate being able to benefit more from their help. Great, efficient clinic with professional and courteous staff. The key is to arrive right when they open and from there it takes about an hour to see the receptionist who will then give you an appointment later in the day. From my experience it seems near impossible to make an appointment over the phone (this applies to walk-in clinics in general) you really just have to show up, take a number, and wait your turn.

A horrifying clinic. I don't know how Quebec allows them to operate. They do not answer their phone. I took me more than 15 attempts to reach someone. The receptionist provided me with online access and an appointment. Fast forward to today, they cancelled my appointment via a text. When I go back in to log-in, the site tells me I'm not able to book online. Now, I need to try to reach them again which will most likely take another 15 attempts. At this point, my goal is to ask them to remove me as a patient so I can put myself on the Family Doctor Waiting List in QC. The worst is I don't even have a doctor here - they assign me whatever resident is on call. An awful experience. PLEASE avoid. The only reason I am considered a patient at this clinic was because when I requested medical attention at Dawson College years ago, they sent me here and now all of a sudden QC considers them to be my family doctor. Nightmare.

It's really too bad that a clinic that has been around for such a long time & used to be excellent now is in disarray with so many bad reviews. While I waited for more than 5 hours in a dirty waiting area, I began googling different things associated with Herzl. I googled The Jewish General & was shocked to read a whole write up about someone working at this clinic. I was able to match the name that I read about, to the chief administrator of Herzl. She's been passing herself off as a doctor and as having different degrees when all she really attended was a secretarial school! Maybe if they had someone there with real degrees running the place, the clinic wouldn't have so many issues & have so many people after their bad experiences, giving this clinic terrible reviews on a wide range of topics. It also seems like since this administrator has taken over the job, this place has gone down. I've been coming here for over 15 years and it used to be excellent. Google the last name of the "Chief Administrator" at this clinic along with "THE Jewish General Hospital" to read for yourself about fake degrees she's been listing for years. After my long wait, dealing with a rude receptionist, listening to the staff in the back laughing & talking amongst themselves about nonsense, I ended up seeing a completely incompetent doctor with what seemed like very little experience. I walked out completely disgusted & vowing to never set foot in this clinic again! I ended up going to see another doctor at another clinic who immediately diagnosed my symptoms & was quickly prescribed the appropriate medication, something that was very difficult to do at Herzl!

The doctors at the Herzl clinic are incompetent. Because of their incompetence my baby is dead!! I'm 41 years old and I was suppose to treated as a high risk pregnancy, and the family doctor treated me as if I was just another 20 year old who became pregnant! Every time I would voice my concerns or things that I should have been doing he would brush me off and say "no its OK it's nothing to worry about". In my 23 week they realized there was an issue in my pregnancy but it was too late to save her!! Now the doctors there are calling me to ask me to come in and see them! Why are they going to give me back my baby?? Are they going to fix the problem?? NO!! The doctors there are horrible and incompetent!!! THEY ARE THE REASON MY BABY IS DEAD!!!

No one answers the phone and they turn off their voice mail. My daughter has a doctor at this clinic but we have only seen her once in two years since we can never get through to make an appointment. The clinic is dirty and the walls are as thin as paper. The last time I took my teenage daughter to the walk-in clinic we could hear the patient next door talk about her sex life in detail. It's a family clinic but children can not get tests done at this hospital. Why have a family clinic there then? Go somewhere else!

Please do not waste ur time there.I waited forever at least 7 hours.they lost my file and had a hard time finding my name.on top of it after I saw the doctor I went with the referal paper to go see a specialist to find out that they gave me a paper with a wrong name ,refered me as male ,wrong address etc so I had to run back and ask for a referal paper with correct details.The receptionists were rude and cold.when I said I was given the wrong referal instead of saying sorry and assisting me she told me she is on her break.so disappointed from the service only the nurse man Was nice and doc ok .

The person who answers your phones is rude and deliberately unhelpful. I was calling just to make sure I had proper directions to find the right office - IN A HOSPITAL. First, because I was calling about a booster appointment, she kept cutting me off and telling me I had the wrong number and I had to call ClicSante. When I finally managed to get her to stop interrupting me long enough to ask my question, all she would tell me is "Whatever the email said, that's where it is." The email just says "Herzl Covid-19 Vaccination clinic - 2nd floor", with the street address, which again - is a whole gd hospital wing. I had to google to find even the phone number. If I go to the wrong spot and I'm more than 10 minutes late, I'm going to lose my appointment slot. So knowing exactly where to go is kind of important. All she had to do was confirm that her office location was indeed the vaccine clinic (there's more than 1 Herzl medical office on Côte-Des-Neiges), and how to get there from the street. This was asking too much of her, apparently, and she hung up. I've seen other reviews suggesting she quit her job if she hates it so much. I'd strongly recommend that she quits it whether she hates it or not; This type of person really needs to work in an environment where there is zero contact with the public, ever. N.B: I waited to post this until after my appointment, because she seems like the type who would jerk patients around just to amuse herself - and I didn’t want her to see my name before I arrived. I have to say, whoever runs this place really needs to fire the person who answers the phones. She is such a bad representation of your overall operation. I had interactions with 6 different people when I came for my appointment, and each and every one of them was just absolutely lovely. It was super efficient and I was in and out in under 5 minutes (not counting the 15 you need to wait after the jab). I was ready to say people should avoid this place, but actually being there was not an unpleasant experience at all. I am sticking with a 1 star rating though, because anyone who needs to visit your clinic and needs information will need to deal with her. She is a stain on an otherwise well-managed facility. You should really consider fixing that.

This clinic is horrible i was sent by the hospital for emergency reason. And this effing receptionist is calling 1 patient every 30min. The rest of the time she is just talking with her co-workers and didnt even bother looking at how many patients are waiting

Stay away from this clinic if you value your health. Try to get a grounded family doctor that has experience, especially if you have a long-term illness. The majority of these doctors are fresh out of McGill , still training and missing experience. The clinic itself is disorganized, no one answers the phones. It's a clique-mentality network. The wait-time is long. Some nurses are nice; others not. I've never had problems with the secretaries at the front desk, they are super nice; everything else needs an entire change.

Went in because I needed a referral to a gyno and a change in medication as it causes me to have severe head aches and anxiety, idiot of a doctor decided to up my dosage even after explaining I've never had anxiety before taking this medication , she also decided to do her own swab test and gyno test and sent me home with my own swabs to bring to another hospital and a referral for an ultra sound but no referral to a gyno so my test won't get sent anywhere ...waste of time and a waste of a PhD

Will never, ever recommend this clinic to anyone. I went through the entire process there from being pregnant to having my babys first year shots. Time after time this clinic had no room for my routine appointments. Time after time we were waiting more than an hour and a half to be seen for a scheduled visit. Twice I have arrived at the clinic for a mid day appointment only to be told my doctor was not there. Their solution to this problem was to tell you to make another appointment. They didn't bother to call their patients, just waited till you showed up. Today, our doctor said not show up and they didn't bother to tell us at all. We checked in and they kept us for ak hour waiting for a doctor who didn't show. Only when we asked what was taking so long did they tell us noone was there and maybe they could find someone else. We will be switching clinics immediately. We gave this place almost 2 years to get better and they are only getting worse and worse. They even hung up on my when I started to complain that their organization was not working. What is unfortunate is that the doctors are great. But even that is frustrating as they did not inform us our doctor had changed. Just gave us trouble when we didn't know this information. Worst clinic administration ever!!!

One particular receptionnist literally saying while admitting me : “you seriously come to the clinic just for this”, and then making out loud comments with her colleague as to why I’m just wasting their time, “if she can’t breathe, why is she wearing a mask?” (because I had a viral illness and didn’t want to spread it). Very unprofessional and deplorable that this is the first encounter for any patient who comes in, and usually not by choice. Although the nurse and doctor I met afterwards were the total opposite and took the time the make a thorough assessment with patience and kindness, it is unfortunately not enough to make up for the insolence of their front desk colleagues. As an employee of the JGH, I am embarassed that this kind of behavior is associated with an establishment part of one of the best hospital in Montreal.

POSITIVE: One of the nurses by the name of Antonina was amazing! So polite, so friendly and professional. I never saw a nurse that cares so much about patients. Only if everyone was like her! NEGATIVE: The receptionist on the other hand- different story. Gave me attitude for absolutely no reason! I had my appointment booked and I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for my name to be called (as the rules on the door state). She was so angry that I was sitting there and told me that I was supposed to be standing behind the line waiting, which was literally right next to my chair. I told her that I have a fever of 39C and would prefer to sit. Can people be a little understanding?!

To my surprise, I heard my name called a few minutes after my arrival at the clinic. The nurse, Bruce, was very considerate and professional during the triage process and later in performing the injection for a blood test. I was also impressed by the doctor who I met for my consultation. He was very attentive and made sure to prescribe all the necessary tests. Thank you for making my visit to the clinic a pleasant one.
