We've got the feddbacks of people like you who are consuming the products of CLSC René-Cassin (Hospital) in Côte-Saint-Luc territory (Canada).
Currently this firm has a score of 3.1 over 5 and that score has been based on 40 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is discreet, neither too high nor too low, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite faithful. If people have bothered to leave their score when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Hospital is included in the category of Community health centre.
Last year, I was handed a requisition for a sleep study and told to find a sleep clinic by my general practitioner. After Google searches and phone calls with pricey private clinics, I brought the requisition over to a nearby hospital where the study is covered by RAMQ. One of its employees forwarded the requisition to the CLSC René-Cassin and explained to me that its sleep clinic would be in contact with me. Fast forward to a year later and I was on the phone with what I assume is the secretary of the sleep clinic at the CLSC René-Cassin, informing me that I was not undergoing the sleep study at the hospital or clinic, but at my home. I had moved from Montreal to Shawinigan and thus driving to Montreal to pick up the at-home sleep test and having to return it the following morning is not convenient for me, especially since the clinic was not open five days a week and I had started a new job at the CIUSSS hospital in Shawinigan, which entails an unstable work schedule, along with being on-call. Nevertheless, I told the secretary that I would try to figure something out so I could drive to Montreal or just look around my area for an alternative. The whole conversation was met with impatience and rudeness by the secretary — as if *she* was being inconvenienced. I remained calm, polite and thankful, while chalking up her attitude to her having a bad day. Today, I decided to throw in the towel and call the hospital where I took my requisition for guidance. I explained my situation and that I was unable to find a sleep study clinic covered by RAMQ in Shawinigan. The employee on the other end recommended that I call back the one at the CLSC René-Cassin, suggesting that the sleep technologist may offer a solution. And cue the same secretary's signature impatience and rudeness, peppered with her snippy comments and interrupting me before I even got a chance to reach mid-sentence as I merely tried explainaing what the hospital had asked me to do and why I had not been able to undergo a sleep study. At one point, she got defensive when I asked her if she or the sleep technologist could offer me some guidance, retorting, "Well, it's not my fault you moved to Shawinigan!" As I attempted to utter the words, "Oh, obviously, that's why I'm not blaming you; it's nobody's fault," she did not let me finish my thought and, instead, put me on a two-minute hold and did so every time I began to. She eventually stopped and, when I attempted to cease going in circles by asking if she could simply let me speak without interrupting me or putting me on hold, she asked me who I was. Once I reminded her, she said that she will not argue with me and somewhere between me trying to understand why she would get the impression that we were arguing, especially when I was calm, polite and barely completing my sentences, she threatened to hang up on me. I finally managed to ask her if she could ask the sleep technologist I spoke to during my consultation to return my call to which she agreed to do. I then called the receptionist of the CLSC René-Cassin, asking to be put in touch with the secretary's superior, adding that I have never filed a complaint against an employee, let alone a fellow colleague of the CIUSSS, but that I was certainly contemplating it. "Please do, " the receptionist insisted. "Someone finally should file a complaint against her." She then proceeded to give me the numbers and extensions of the people to contact. And I have contacted them. Not with the intention of getting said secretary in trouble or fired, but some help. Because, as a fellow healthcare worker, I am thinking about the next patient/caller that has to deal with her. And, as a fellow human, I am thinking about her having to deal with herself. I did not give the CLSC René-Cassin a one-star Google review, because I believe that an entire organization should not be held accountable for one employee. However, I did give it two stars because it should be held accountable for an employee mistreating patients/callers for this long. Hey, "it's not my fault."
they need more doctors and more staff ... but for the most part this clinic is better then others i have been ......
(Translated) They call me for an appointment and I am there and they say that there is no appointment in your name! (Original) Ils me convoquent pour un r.d.v et je suis la et ils disent qu'il n'apas de r.d.v à votre nom!
For a CLSC, this is probably the best service you can get. They actually employ bilingual people who will actually speak English to you, and without a scowl.
Had an appointment for a time sensitive medication to be administered. They called me the day before to confirm. When I arrive the reception asks me to wait. After 45min of waiting they tell me there are no appointments scheduled and nothing can be done today. Very rude, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time
Not recommended! One of social worker who is taking blood test this morning doesn't know how to doing her job at all and tried 3 times on 2 hands and behaved very unprofessionally and arrogantly . Bad experience! Never be back there for blood test!!
not recommended, I have never come back again on this place for blood test or some other tests. They don't know their job. my both of hands are totally blue .
Great staff. Awesome nurses
Great help
(Translated) Very good service offered, thanks (Original) Muy buen servicio ofrecido, gracias
Friendly staff, attentive friendly nurses. Appointment time respected.
Its a quieter clsc ..if u dint have a gp ..ask to be put on the list!
Best experience I've ever had with their staff. Very polite, knowledgeable and actually helpful ❤❤❤ Update: during covid the staff are even more careful and kind to people, they help calm you down if you feel anxious about visiting. Overall highly recommend if you need medical care.????????????
There is only one place I go for my yearly blood tests, and that is right here! I love it because you are usually in and out within an hour. Everyone is so pleasant. Especially the nurses, when you walk in to their room. This morning, I was greeted with a huge smile and GOOD MORNING by Comfort, (first time meeting her), as well as Lyubov, who has been my usual nurse for many years. The three of us laughed and joked the whole time, and they made the whole experience fun!!! The world needs people like these two!!! It is now a year later....August 2020...nothing has changed. My 2 favourite nurses are STILL laughing under their masks and taking such wonderful care of their patients. LOVE them. Stay safe.
The worst. My mother's doctor made a request so that the CLSC come to her house to do her blood work and give her a vaccine, but the CLSC insisted that she take two buses, at the age of 88, with severe arthritis, in the midst of the second wave of the Covid pandemic, in Fall when it's cold. They are heartless, and when I tried calling to ask that they reconsider they bounced me from one person to another on the phone for about 40 min., and I was completely unable to speak to anyone with any sense of accountability or compassion. I am about to write a letter to the Health Minister and to the media about this. This is unacceptable. The worst service ever. A bunch of bureaucrats, and not one of them with even a tiny bit of heart or competence.
Ladies at the counter couldn't offer worse service if they tried. Don't understand people who take a job they are so unhappy doing. In a business meant to help people who are ill. Truly baffling how bad the service is. Try calling nobody will pick up he phone. Brutal
I now know why people die alone at home and do not go to doctors. This morning my elderly mother woke up and was dizzy. She decided that we go to the CLSC instead of the emergency at the hospital. So we went to the CLSC instead of the hospital. All news services have been telling people to stay away from the hospital unless it is a dire emergency. We have now been waiting 1.5 hrs. No one has called or acknowledged our presence. The clinic was empty for at least 30 minutes. Nurses are standing around doing nothing and my mom is getting dizziness and hit. Welcome to the wonderful system devised by our wonderful government. NOT.
Denied care to a Canadian citizen who was out of province but had OHIP and 3rd party insurance. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
Clsc is quite fast service when you have blood test appointment , staff is very nice and helpful, must change mask when entering and sanitize your hands... 104 bus brings you right there with a couple of minute walk
After waiting for hours and following the covid guidelines with a baby in hand, I arrived at the reception with my electronic test request and the middle aged lady tells me to fax it to the clsc number. I explained to her that to send a fax, I would need to have a print out or access to print, she throws the fax number at me and tells me to 'go'. Please note that the website says you can bring a paper or electronic request letter. This people think we come into the clinic because we have nothing more to do. How can you be so heartless even with a baby involved?! Healthcare workers in Quebec need to do better!!
(Translated) Phone service sucks. Cannot take RV with the family doctor by phone. We ask to leave a message, but no one calls back. You have to go directly to the CLSC to take the RV. (Original) Service téléphonique est nul. Impossible de prendre RV avec le médecin familial par téléphone. On démande de laisser un message, mais personne ne rappele pas. Il faut aller directement au CLSC pour prendre le RV.
Good luck getting anyone on the phone.
Amazing people! I had mine and my son's appointments here for the vaccinations and every time it was great! The staff is very professional who is truly there to help people. Special thank you to Lise and Frederic who took care of us! A+
A new CAP recently started here and my interactions with her have been mostly positive. I am hopeful for continuing help from her and her staff for my father.
Had an appointment - post op to remove staples and stitches. No waiting. Nurse Grace very professional and very pleasant.
A member of staff here forced my elderly father to remove his KN95 mask and wear a thin surgical one instead, in the middle of the omicron wave. I understand that it’s policy, but common sense and judgment should be used.
