I live in Moncton and typically go to the hospital here in town. So, admittedly, I was a bit surprised when I was told to go to Sackville, to have the pins removed from my broken ankle. My husband and I were told to be there 2 hours before the surgery. We still waited 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment time to be seen (though I'd have been more surprised if we'd been taken in on time, since the wait times are always long, even here in Moncton). But the staff took great care of me. Christy in Admitting was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Nurses Catherine and Bethany had wonderful bedside manners; they talked me through everything, and one even made me tea and toast when I woke up (since I'd fasted for 12 hours leading up to the procedure). And Dr. Will Allanach, who performed both surgeries and has looked after me from the beginning, was fantastic. He's been such an important part of my recovery, and I can't praise him highly enough. If I never see the inside of a hospital again, it'll be too soon. But I have no complaints about my experience yesterday.

I had tonsillitis and was sure of it. I was told I was crazy and referred a mental health specialist who diagnosed me with tonsillitis and I proceeded to get a surgery rushed because of the fact it was crystal clear I had tonsillitis to the degree of blocking my airways.

My very young niece went there today with a split open hand from a fall, and a kitchen towel holding it with pressure. Waited over 2 hours for poor service not to mention the useless reception that was clearly just there for the paycheck. Nobody looked at the wound (like any normal hospital triage does in any other hospital in this part of the world) so there was no way they even knew how bad the cut was as nobody even looked. Furthermore, my sister told the reception "her fingers are starting to go numb" and she just carelessly said "ok I'll let them know" then punched out. Needless to say we did what my family and many friends ALWAYS do and went to Moncton Hospitsl instead. Shut the place down its clearly not serving the community anyway.

Two of the three doctors I've seen were respectable and helpful, the one that wasn't was rude and not interested in my well being. Wait times are average, little faster at night (as expected) Clean and well organized place, with coloured dots to guide you around.

Had to take my daughter into Sackville ER after she fell off her bike and cut open her lip. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The nurse and doctor who tended to her were amazing.

Rude triage nurses. Abysmal wait times. I literally could have driven to Campbellton, seen a doctor and drove back. And I'm still here.

I have multiple bad experiences, most most recent I was unable to breath and have a persistent fever for 4 days (during covid mind you) I arrived 5pm they told me the ER was closed. I told them I couldn't breathe. They interrupted me and apologized and said that unless I had an appointment to leave. I begun to walk back home, were I pasted out on the side walk, a police officer saw me and I was unable to go to monton due to no way of being able to return home.

The 4 times me and my girlfriend have gone to this hospital we have waited a minimum of 5 hours each time before seeing the doctor, they dont tell you how long it's going to be so you're just waiting there without any time frame, they call 3 people per hour and you will see a nurse 30 minutes, and that's when the waiting game starts. When I had bruises appearing all over my arm and memory fogginess they left me sitting in the lobby for 7 hours and 15 minutes

Nurse had no bedside manners. First time at the ER tell me go to room D asked where to go to get to room D and in an annoyed voice pointed in an angry matter there. Now have been waiting to see the doctor for almost one hour now and still waiting. I see why I was told to never come here. Now I know better.

What is up World

Longest wait time I've experienced in new brunswick since moving here 10 yrs ago. If you can get to Moncton or Stella Kent I suggest that instead. I'd not want to see alberta hospital wait times in 2021

Got a Cat bite, went to Sackville hospital at 2PM....left at 5:30, only seeing one nurse (who was wonderful and sincere) and then left in the back room hearing the nurses talk about their day (which is fine, but after 3 hours....). Left crying as my anxiety went out the roof, and when I gave them my tags saying that My anxiety was too much (through my blubbering) and how much longer they thought it was going to be, one responded, at least another hour....then turned around and went back to their conversation (during my wait I heard someone say *that girl is still in the back*) I understand how crazy it is for doctors and nurses and how there are so many patients to see, but when such disrespect is shown to another human being, that is outright ridiculous, not once did someone come by to tell me that it could be a longer wait, or to check how I was. If going to this hospital, be wary. I just happened upon a day with some individuals who clearly don't enjoy what they do.

The ER is alot faster then the one in Amherst Nova Scotia. I found the staff very friendly as well as the doctors. The place is very dated but that does not matter for what you get out of there. I have been there a few times and would go back again.

I have lived in the area since 1999 and, with 4 children, have had many reasons to be at the Sackville Memorial Hospital: always a satisfactory experience. Having recently had my own health issues, I have had to spend an increasing amount of time at this facility. I have never found such a wonderful group of staff...each and everyone that I have interacted with have been pleasant, helpful and very professional. Thank you

Went there yesterday for day surgery with one of the best surgeons around but was discharged with my shoulder harness strapped backwards to me like a seatbelt..I was half out of it from the drugs and figured it was how it was supposed to be, however my arm, frozen solid, hung dangling like an elephant's trunk near my knees. It wasnt until later in the day when my gf got home from work (at george dumont hospital)told me that doesnt look right and found the actual sling part tucked behind my neck. Everything up until that experience was great. The nurse who set me up was super nice and ready to go at 7am sharp. The doctors were great but whoever was in charge between post opp and discharge needs better training. I only hope the lack of post op care didnt do damage to an otherwise great job????‍♂️

Bringing my neighbours and always have to wait, 3,4 & 5 hours. Absolutely ridiculous for this for this long for elderly people to wait this long.

My best advice if you want to see a doctor would be to come in just when it opens. Any other time your wait will be between 3 to 9 hours. I went in because of a chest infection and I knew I would have to wait and if I had the choice I would have just rested at home. I went there around 9 in the morning and waited with around 10 other people in the waiting room. I waited there until 4 when a nurse said I could see the one doctor that was working at the time. I was moved to the back and waited for another 2 hours until the doctor talked to me for less then 15 minutes to give me a prescription. If you're falling apart by all means come here and wait. If you are feeling quit bad I would say your best bet is to drive to Moncton, which is a sad fact for most of the student population that does not drive.

I was sitting in outpatients and to keep the order of everyone there you made them move up a seat everytime someone went in. All the medical degrees and nurse training in that place and none of you could figure out that in a pandemic you probably shouldn't have every single person sit in every single seat before they go in. "Take a number" is a tried and true method.
