They took excellent care of my dog, and the vet student was nice enough to call me twice a day with updates on her progress after surgery. They even cooked her chicken when she wouldn't eat any of the dog food or treats they tempted her with, in an effort to help her gain her strength back. I'm very grateful and can't say enough about them. Thank you! ????

I had a privilege of having my dogs seen by Dr. Stewart. We have been to many vets around the globe and this hospital ranks at the top. It's the facility, the people and their genuine love for animals. The parking might be a little confusing but for what you will see once inside, I'd rather have a confusing parking lot than a confusing operation. The vet students are also perks to the experience. They take time to talk to you and your dogs/pets.

Wonderfull staff, very helpfull and took the time to not only fully explain tbe procedure and answer questions. But wefe very kind and reassuring. Only reason i wouldnt give 5 stars was it took me over a year to clear that debt... Vets are MAD expensive.

The vet and student vet were extremely friendly. I feel good going here because it is helping students learn. There is free parking which I appreciate. I did find it on the expensive side though and had an extremely long wait (it took over an extra 2 hours).

A few years late but took my dog there after he attached a porcupine and a few quills migrated inside him. One touching his lung. charged me $6500. he was in there for a week and it was touch and go. Paid $5000.00 asked if I could pay the other $1500 in about a week or two. Basically told me i shouldn't of brought him if i couldn't afford it!! Never will forget that and I thought they did it for the love of the animals....... Yes i paid my $1500 bill in two weeks.

Horrible service. My mother is on welfare and had to take her dog in to emergency due to breathing issues. He was fine before going into emergency. They gave him pills and specifically said "these pills are not meant for his weight, we will try to force it out of him fast". Or they could do surgery for $1500 but there was a high chance he wouldn't make it. Where does one get that money while on welfare? We had to choose the $250 option and do a follow up two weeks later. HER DOG DIED 14 HOURS LATER!!! The pills made him worse. He died in pain and suffering. Why didn't they put him down??? Why didn't they offer payments for the surgery if they thought that would make him better? Instead MONEY is their priority and not a life. No empathy from them at all. They have the nerve to not offer a refund for the pills that can't be finished by the passed pup. They have the audacity to say a cremation will be $300 or to donate him for free for the students. Money money money. No consideration. I should have listened to my friend. They killed his dog during a $600 surgery and offered to buy him a new dog.

To: Atlantic Veterinary College Fr: Tony Opened the door saw my son gasping for breath...breathing hard..looked down throat...tongue cynotic...did everything i knew to do I have been in the nursing field for 20 plus yrs I saw the fear in my (Tony's) dogs eyes ***Please make your message after hours say "HELLO WHAT IS YOUR EMERGENCY.....before anything else I felt helpless..i didnt hear the first message....to press 1....many people told me.. .you were, in fact open as i held my son in my arms In a Panic, looking for the proper place...missed it to the point i had to phone again Signage needs to be bigger and noticable Hope this can help Krystal Matters

We lost our little boy a few days ago. Our cat had a medical emergency and couldn't breathe. Fluid was found in his chest cavity and it was horrible for him and for us. However, the staff at the AVC did everything they could and went so far beyond our expectations as a family. It was Labour Day weekend but they got us in first thing and over the next two days, did everything for us. When we made the final choice, the vet cried with us and hugged us and the vet techs were so kind and gentle. I know that our boy passed in the best possible place for him. It was peaceful. I'll never be able to thank the staff at the AVC for what they did. Their kindness made all the difference.

In February it will be 3 years since I lost my boy, Max He Walked into AVC, 2 days later couldn't walk out, next day I had to say Good Bye. He was only 3.5 years old Now, yes he was diagnosed with spinal cancer once having a few tests there, However he was still walking, moving around before he entered AVC, so quite possibly we might have had more time with him but I'll never know So now Lola, my other OEB has a Specialist Appointment at the AVC She has had red eyes for a few months, most likely environmental as per our Veterinarian but she wanted to get a Specialist opinion So you can understand my being hesitant to take her there I called to ask if I will be allowed in the exam room with her & the answer is, No! So I cancelled my appointment For me it's like letting your 1 year old child be examined by a Doctor without you being present She is my Girl & my #1 job is too Keep her safe & advocate for her Unfortunately some don't see it that way

When my cats health deteriorated too much due to old age they got us in quickly to have him euthanized. The vet was very kind and supportive during the whole process. I can't thank her enough for giving me as much time as I needed. It's so hard to say goodbye to a beloved pet and I'm thankful for her being so great. Thank you, it really does matter.

Recently took my puppy there and ultimately had to put him down. It was such a hard day for me but I can’t say enough about the staff at the college. They had some pretty heavy news along with a pretty hefty bill to present to me at an obviously tough time. They did so with compassion and did everything they could for me. I just received a card from them with comments from the doctor and nurses who dealt with Goji. They are amazing people and I highly recommend this vet in unfortunate event you may need it.

Took my daughters cat there . We were told we could get blood work and urine analysis done . We told them our cat was a bit cranky when nervous she assured us they could handle him no problem. 45 min later they came out said your cat is ready I asked if he had blood or urine done she said he scratched my finger . I looked at her finger I used to see it again you couldn't see a scratch at all we were charged 270 dollars and were sent home with zero answers. And we had to take the cat to a different vet in the am . Obviously whomever she was should not be in the vet industry if u can't handle a cat . Traveled there in a storm to basically get ripped off . I dont recommend this place unless its do or die .....
