Here you have all the feddbacks of real people who bought the services of Riley Park Maternity Clinic (Hospital) in Calgary area (Canada).
At the moment the firm receives a score of 2.9 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 26 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the evaluation is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Hospital is classified in the category of Maternity hospital.
went to riley park low risk NW for my first pregnancy, they were cold, not welcoming or friendly at all. one nurse was kind but the others including all the drs we saw seemed like they had somewhere else to be.. defeated my firt time appointment excitment!! would not reccomend
I have been going to grace medical at Riley Park and have had nothing but bad experience after bad experience. I have waited over an hour on three occasions. Have had several fairly terrible doctors with fairly shameful bedside manner. Would highly recommend going elsewhere.
This place has no idea how to book accordingly. I am 7 months pregnant took time off work and managed my whole day to be there for my 2:30pm apt only to find out that they decided to book me in for 2pm instead and not letting me know. They told me they can't see because the dr is very busy. I did ask to speak to the manager who was not helpful at all. He only explained to me how he is planing to run the clinic in the future so this won't happen again but did not help me get seen on my time I had booked. If there was an option of 0 star that's what I would rate it.
Great doctors and nurses but horrible time management. Morning appointments are very punctual but afternoon appointments are usually super delayed with an average of 30 minutes behind the past 3 times we visited. If time is important to you, try to come first thing in the morning.
I am unsure as to why this clinic has such a low rating. They were fast, and thorough and answered all my questions. A much better clinic than the NE maternity location, that's for sure!
Love all the doctors here and rarely wait longer than 10 minutes for my appointment. Their follow up is quick.
If it were possible for me to give zero stars to this clinic, I would. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant with my second child, both have which have been under the watch of the Riley Park staff, specifically, the NorthWest Maternity division. My experience both times has been catastrophic, and I feel like no woman should go here without knowing the full details. Having a toddler, and a husband in full time school meant that I had a very hectic schedule this time around, one subject to rapid change. I assumed that so long as notice was given, appointment changes were welcomed, however this is not the case. The doctors stress the importance of the appointments and yet they are routinely 20-40 minutes late for each appointment, meaning you pay a large sum in parking fees every time you go. At one point I waited 2.5 hours for a 10 minute appointment, and had to pay the parking fee. Either you’re left to wait, or in my case you’re late returning to your babysitter who also has a schedule to keep. I have been given false information by the staff, all stating there was “no way” a certain surgeon would consider doing a csection, pressuring me into vaginal birth and dismissing the recorded events of my first, extremely traumatic birth. I am 23, so the general treatment received is that I am an incompetent, ignorant mother. I know what I suffered, and their eye rolls and statements that it was a “routine” birth were not welcome. 30 seconds into my appointment with the surgeon I was told would basically laugh me out of the room, he agreed I should have been given one the first time and he would happily do it this time as well. They claimed that the doctor who delivered my daughter using forceps, when they were not, they remained unused on the surgical tray and she allowed me to go over the legal limit for delayed labor because *she* didn’t feel comfortable with my having a csection. I was allowed to go 25 hours in labor, with 5 hours of stalled pushing. This caused my baby distress, she ended up relieving herself in the canal and heavy antibiotics were needed for us both after birth. This time around I had the displeasure of dealing with Andrea. I have never in my life felt so disrespected and looked down upon as I do when conversing with her. I’m almost certain it’s written in my chart that reception has to forward my calls to her because I’ve dealt with her multiple times. I had an appointment booked and given the current weather I asked to reschedule two days later than the set appointment date. I was given yet another speech about how I need to take the appointment seriously, that they need to see me, and it’s simply not possible to reschedule. (Meaning if I didn’t show I’d have to pay a fee of $100) At this point i’m angrily explaining that being 37 weeks pregnant, during a blizzard and having a 2 year old to bring along meant that I felt unsafe driving and would prefer to not risk a major collision. She kept saying no and dismissing all concerns assuring me that Monday was not possible. I asked why I need an internal exam to a test for Strep B when I’m having a csection, she didn’t answer me with anything other than repeating that I needed to come in. I asked about the risks of breaking my water through weekly internal exams when I only have 2 weeks left until scheduled delivery. Again I was ignored. After cutting ties with the clinic and stating I will go elsewhere, I was hung up on and almost immediately called back by a kind woman with a gentle tone. She assured me I could deal with her specifically if I wished but this is the last straw. She also said I could report Andrea to a physician who would look into it if I wished. In short: never go here.
Not really understanding all the whining and complaining about parking fees and long wait times. Yes you do go through rotating drs but almost all the drs I've seen have all been professional and caring. The nurses are great and provide lots of information as well. Yes you do wait a bit longer but longest i've waited is 20 minutes and you're in and out within the hour. I'm having my 2nd child and have had a great experience here with both pregnancies.
Wonderful doctors and nurses at this clinic. My experience has been nothing but positive and I dealt with circumcision, breast feeding and maternity care. I'm so sad my visits here are over but I will always remember how compassionate everyone was. The wait times are only a reflection of the caring doctors and nurses who are personable and wont hurry you out of your appointment.
They are not punctual at all. I had to wait 1hr past my appointment time for the doctor. Every time you get to meet a different doctor and thats awful..
Receptionists ask you to do their job for them. (Ie. Filling out paperwork, running paperwork from the examination rooms to front desk, weigh yourself and write in on their paperwork ,telling them which clinic you are there to see - since apparently they run multiple clinics using the same receptionist) The Doctors here are NOT obstetricians. The Doctor you come here to see will not likely be the doctor with you in the delivery room, in fact every appointment may be with a different one of their 17 doctors. Our 30 minute appointment became a 2 hour appointment and I had to run out to feed the parking meter - twice. (Parking is NOT validated by the way) Hours of operation are incredibly inconvenient for anyone working full time. They say they are open 8am-430pm everyday. yet the receptionist refuses to book us during the end of the day since "the doctors like to leave as early as possible, especially on fridays, so I book everything for earlier in the day". We tried to book an appointment for Friday at 3:30 pm for a 30 minute appointment. The receptionist told us she starts booking for 1pm and will only book consecutively from that point as the appointments come up. She told us she does this so the doctors can leave work early. She told us we can call back later and *maybe* move the appointment if more people booked for that Friday (and she didn't reserve the time slot for us so the likelihood of us getting the time we need is slim) So *WE* have to take a day off work and your doctors get to leave early. This is NOT an acceptable way to treat a customer LET ALONE A PREGNANT WOMAN. We were treated like a piece of garbage. This is everything that's wrong with Canadian Health Care.
When I went there just under two years ago, the reception staff were really nice and the wait times were decent. Got back to me a lot quicker than the one in the NE. I didn't mind weighing myself, because the less people who knew, the better. Yes, you take a gamble with what doctor you get because of the rotation, but you can sometimes request to book an appointment with the same one for your next one, depending on the situation. The nurses/trainee doctors were also efficient at their jobs.
We have found the care Reily Park very poor. The doctors rotate weekly and seem to be a little disconnected. You have to repeated yourself constantly if you want them to pay attention to anything. This is not the kind of care you want when you are pregnant. In fact, we will switch care and not take our child there because it has been a rather stressful experience.
I've been coming to this clinic since I was 26 weeks pregnant ( I'm 38 weeks now). This is my first Pregnancy and honestly I've had nothing but good experiences everytime. I've been able to meet almost every single doctor I could potentially have for delivery because of the rotation and honestly I think it's great. Thank you for taking care of me and my baby!
Clinic staff are ok but reception will never answer there phone had a emergency yesterday and called and called and called and no answer finally called the clinic on the other side of them they said they would leave a message 4 hours later they call me back!!!!!!
It would be nice if there was a voicemail system for appointment requests/cancellations. Or if they would answer the phones when they say they are open yet I can never seem to get through even during business hours. Otherwise seems good.
Clinic visits were mostly good. Once babytime comes be prepared for the best experience of your life to become the worst. I am making it my mission to steer everyone that I know away from this clinic and your "c's get degrees" doctors.
Just scanned the reviews from the past couple years and I’m very surprised with all the complaints! I am 34 weeks with my second pregnancy handled by Northwest Clinic and I’ve had a great experiences. Are they often behind, yes. But working at a hospital, our clinic is often behind as well, not unlike many facets of healthcare. I found a 1:00appt after lunch was the best for being on time. Seeing different Dr’s? If you plan on going the same time and day of week, it’s usually the same person, just ask to prebook some appts in advance. Complaining about weighing yourself? Really? It’s not a difficult process... I’ve found everyone to be very courteous and professional, and have been well taken care of both times.
I am shocked with the bad reviews for this clinic. Dealing with chronic illness unrelated to pregnancy I go to a lot of doctors offices and appointments and I think Riley park is delightful. the wait times no different than any other doctors office. I found every receptionist, nurse and doctor I met to be warm and friendly and knowledgeable. Not one concern.
This rating does not apply to the doctors and nurses, they would get a solid 5 stars. This is geared to reception. I called to book an appt yesterday and mid sentence was hung up on. I know it was no mistake for I’ve seen the bigger girl who sits at the front desk do that before while I was in the waiting area. She is awful. She really needs to find a new profession. I work retail and deal with unkind people all the time however if I treated any of them the way she treats people let alone PREGNANT women I’d be fired so fast. On a side note yeah the wait times can be long however that’s seeing the doctor for ya. The nurses and doctors are really good so no complaints there whatsoever
I had 10:10 am appointment. I came at9:50. They let me wait. Alright. Until 10:50. Still waiting. Spend too long time to wait.
I agree with the other poor reviews. I do not believe it is acceptable to have pregnant patients weighing themselves, filling out paperwork and seeing themselves to rooms. My wait time was long, parking is expensive and on more than one occasion I have called and the phone has not been answered. All of this aside, my biggest concern was with the bedside manner of the doctor I saw at my last appointment. I found her to be uncaring and rude. I left with a lot of guilt and feeling like a was failing my child...I have been dreading doing back. I am hoping my next experience will be better.
The waiting time is always long for getting attention
