On January 21, 2020 I went to emergency at 5 a.m. with severe stomach and back pain, which ended up being diagnosed after a few hours in triage and after an ultrasound, to be a kidney stone. All staff during my time in triage including admin, nurses, technicians, porters, cleaning staff, doctors, assistants and many others were quick, efficient, kind, considerate, friendly, compassionate and professional. At no time did I feel ignored. Triage is a busy place, so I understand the waiting times. A shout out to Doctor Morris and staff that morning. Thanks and God bless. You rock!

Sick and tired of this useless ER. Everytime I've been the nurses have no compassion and the doctors are quick to interrupt you and not listen to what you're telling them. You want to waste your time to just have a blood test, be told youre fine and be sent home? Come here! You're just a number here. Get told by my doctor to go to ER with severe stomach pain then THEY tell me to go to my doctor. Our healthcare in this country is insanely flawed. Also as soon as i was finished I was bawling, due to pain and disappointment, the nurse asks me if I want to bring the doctor back, I told her why I was upset and said I'm fine and she literally just walked off. No have a good day or anything. Very personable staff you have!

The night time emergency doctors and nurses are great and very helpful. The daytime doctors and nurses are rude and careless.

Hospital administration should work on having a faster attention for cases than can be seen quicker, and of course prioritizing emergencies. There should be kind of 2 very defined groups: emergency and urgency. Each group should have a separate line which would help attending more patients in less time. It's unbelievable and inhumane that one has to wait 4 to 5 hours in pain/hurting to be seen by a doctor. This is supposed to be a first world country.

took my nephew to the hospital on Thursday night as I'm trying to explain to the aid nurse behind the triage what's going on she kept telling me to be quiet because I look 16, I took my nephew's mother who is clearly on medication and would not shut up. The triage nurse kept turning to her and taking her information, but you can clearly tell that she has no information relevant to my nephew, as I'm telling my nephew deep breath in and out this triage nurse goes off again... "Shut up!" So I start to explain the situation of my nephew and how I am worried. As my sister made no sense and this idiot nurse would purposely didn't listen she wrote family Dynamics is off and they released him. Yah no family is perfect but maybe do the job your paid for and listen! Obviously she needs a new profession.

I can’t remember any of names of the doctors, nurses and staff because I came in delirious, but I do recall this being kindest group of professionals to ever take care of me. Asked me every preference every time and went above and beyond. Much love

Very bad hospital honestly they make you wait for long on purpose because they know you need them the funny part is that all the nurses are joking around with each other and doctors are busy checking their phones and writing reports , its disappointing what this world is coming too

I wish if the option no stars I can give them 0. Very poor service, no one listens, people waits so long and crying with pain . The emergency staff so rude and once they talk with family members or with patients very disrespectful.very poor service I wish people can raise their voice against staff behaviour.

They have patients with no covid symptoms in the same area with other patients treated by the same nurses and doctors . When i asked why , the nurse said that it was my fault because i voted for the wrong guy and that the nurse cant do anything about it because she signed a contract to not object on anything and just to do her job. They said they always have shortage in beds and staff and if i dont like it then i can leave . I left in pain and fear for my 70 year old mother at home . I cut myself open at home to help drain my abscess and i can only think why people in Calgary accept these poor conditions are we that cheap or we deserve this kind of system ???!!

The worse care provided that you can think of. I went to ER twice in so much pain and both of the times the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I had chest pains and irregular heart beat and I told them how the pain had been just getting worse, but neither did doctors nor nurses take it seriously. They didn’t even refer another doctor or medicine. The second time I went In, after waiting for 5+ hours, after they did a blood test, did an ECG and xrays of my chest, doctor called me in and told me he didn’t what was wrong with me. He just shook his head and smiled at me, while I stood there telling him how much pain I was in. Told me to go home and take Tylenol for my pain, which did not work at all. The nurses are just beyond rude. They have no compassion for the patients in pain, they make fun of patients and laugh at them instead of helping them.

I don't understand why with a big cut in the hand we are waiting 3 hours to see a doctor. Unfortunately nobody cares about helping people in this place. Alberta Health Services is the worst in Canada.

Rude staff, most of them make you constantly feel unwelcome as if they are doing you a favour, they have very poor social skills and common sense, more like sensless programmed robots, nurses are always not in the mood , probably thinking about her personal problems and your visit is annoying and disturbing . Expect to meet staff that will make you feel worse than you already feel because they are sad people that seem like they hate their life or job. The person responsible of this staff should be tied up and left without food or water for hours to regain the sense of how people should be treated.
