It is mandatory to sanitize hands and wear a procedure mask upon entering. Parking is located Underground and no longer free of charge in Lot 10. Wheelchairs can be found in the main foyer hallway or near the admissions desk. Patients and visitors must undergo screening as they enter the hospital. Do not visit if you are feeling unwell. The tower has many services from day surgery to major surgery to cast removal, antibiotic clinic and Diagnostic imaging. There is a helipad on top of it for stars and Halo air ambulance . Smoking is not permitted on any portion of the Foothills Medical Center site.

Had Endoscopic surgery to get a Pituitary Tumor removed on April 25th, 2017 by Dr. Yves Starreveld and his crew and they did an amazing job, I was then moved to Unit 112 to recover and I can't say how nice, polite and respectful all the staff there (male and female nurses) were. They pretty much nurtured me back to almost normal health (still need to recover), I had an episode on the 27th where my BP dropped drastically and the nurses got me back to normal in a calm manner but you could sense the urgency they did everything while I just laid there, I didn't get to thank them all properly but if they read this then thank you all and god bless you. Now I go on my way to recover and get back in shape after getting my cushings disease taken care of, and before I forget I want to say thank you to the kitchen staff, Doctors, Nurses and porters who helped me out

Dr. Ian Anderson did my hernia surgery, 20th.aug 2018, what a pleasant chap !!! Makes you feel so safe and good. After surgery staid in for overnight care and there was a guy, can’t remember name but he was just amazing. He was running around nonstop, always asking do I need something and if needed water or extra blanket it was done right away. Amazing, this guy must really really care and must like his job, other way he couldn’t do it this way. And no complaints what so ever for others too. Food is like in hospital, eatable but nothing special. Two things I must say, bed, it was like sleeping an the railway, mattress was really bad, but I survived. Other thing is parking. Parked my car and paid, options are by hours or 24 hrs or week. I staid in 27 hrs. So next morning after surgery 6.30 am I walked about mile :) to other end of hospital to add parking time. Not much fun. Maybe there is better way to do it but no one didn’t know there. Anyway, I really want to thank people there for fixing me and taking good care after ????

I had hip surgery in Unit 54. The meanest, nastiest "nurses"; a place of miserable rotten apples and bullies called "nurses." Together with the the Mrkonjic "surgeon" who operated on me, (and who also joins the ranks of the incompetent and mediocre surgeons such as Duffy and Buckley, within the McCaig hole), they decided I didn't need any help at home, even though I couldn't walk for 6 weeks and I live in a 4 story home, and I was 3 months away from turning 65. The way the miserable nurses treated me is a disgrace, with a very few exceptions. I always requested to get the care of two gentle nurses from East India and from Africa. The only decent nurses there. Thank goodness for immigrants who will make Canada a better place to live. I describe the nastiness, misery and bullying in Unit 54 of the McCaig tower as a mini Canada.

Dr. Brown in minor surgery is THE man. Great surgeon and bedside manner. Has fixed me up more than once. My quality of life is better because of him.
