Friendly, knowledgeable, know how to fill out insurance forms, and they CARE!!! Oh do the care. They price pretty average, and they keep you informed on any conditions which need monitoring. They dont push for procedures to make money, the care about the animal and will try every angle that fits your pet and you. Highly recommend them!

I moved here about 2 years ago and well my pets are my kids and hard for me to trust many with them and same goes for me little furry people! I searched for some time before some references of people I know pointed me to this clinic which happened to be pretty much at my back door! They are crazy awesome and my cats are so comfortable with them (as best as any animal going to the doctor) and they follow up and give the best advise (not money oriented). I am so happy to have my family be apart of another family that cares! Best experience! So if you have a little furry love one that needs some care take them here you and your pet(s) will walk away happy!

I LOVE Copperfield Veterinarian Hospital. When my Veterinarian retired I was at a loss until I found Copperfield. I live in Bowness and will happily make the trip especially when my rather large fur family is looked after with such care. They never push unnecessary treatments and will use their expertise to avoid unnecessary procedures. They are extremely knowledgeable and amazing. During my fostering years I brought many of my foster cats and dogs to Copperfield. More than a few of them saved their limbs and lives by my decision to put them in Copperfield’s hands. I brought my two boys here to get a check up as one of my cats were having issues. Turns out my boy was in early stages of kidney failure. I was able to have my boy for another two and half months before his body started to shut down 17 days ago. I called to see about putting my boy to sleep but when I was told I could not be in the room with him I broke down and said that isn’t fair and cruel. I understand because of thr corna virus going on, but to tell me I can’t be there for my boy was just mean, My boy would have been scared and wondering why I wasn’t there. My two boys have been with me for 15 years and 3 months. I am glad I used another service yesterday and in my own home for my boy.

We will be taking our business elsewhere for our 3 pets as a result. Your idiot substitute vet has lost you business for 3 pets for the rest of their lives! I’m appalled at the staff, In particular a woman named Miranda who seems to think that, because she works at a vet.. she knows the ins and outs of every other vet in Calgary and took it upon herself to involve herself in a case I have against a vet for illegally surrendering one of my pups to a rescue against a contract. Miranda seemed to think it would be a great idea to start slandering me on social media ( this woman literally has no clue who I am or what my story was lol ) and then proceeded to make fun of the way I look, like a juvenile. I am completely disgusted with the immaturity as she should have been less worried about being a Facebook warrior and more worried about conducting herself professionally as not to make this vet practise look bad. Just food for thought.

Definitely read the negative reviews before taking your animal here. They are fine until there is a health issue with your animal, and then you just become a way for them to make money. Extremely unprofessional (was hung up on for asking to speak to the actual vet) and the vet who actually saw my dog refused to speak to me and had her colleague (I believe he is her husband) call me eventually. There are so many other vets who are in it for the love of animals and not just as a business. Very disappointed and highly do not recommend bringing your animal here.

We have been going to Copperfield Veterinary since we moved here in 2013, we had 2 English Bullmastiff’s a brother and sister from different litters 1.5 years difference in age. Our male died in 2105 at 9 years old and the female was 12.5 years old she was diagnosed with Addison’s disease at age 2 and we were told she would only live till she was 6 with the great care and proper bloodwork she needed regularly from Dr. Sandu she lived a very long successful life. They care and are very accommodating to the financial needs of a family and offer many options to be able to be able to care for your pet. I trust their judgement on the best care for your pet. We recently adopted an American pitbull terrier cross Rottweiler and have given me many tips on how to care for him and during Covid never took less time to talk to me and answer my questions about his care. They were able to provide care without me going into the clinic to put anyone at risk and didn’t sacrifice the care they give during these times.

A super team, the nurse who came out told me of some complications within the spay because of a small cyst on the ovary but it's all gone and she's never been better ???? at no extra charge and a VERY reasonable price dor fixing and microchip too. Yesterday I found my 3 month old golden retriever in the back yard playing fetch with himself with a rock he dug out of the garden. Immediately after, he started choking, gagging and seemed to be struggling to breath. I immediately tried the basics, got in the truck and started driving and calling my vet, copperfield vet clinic...who advertises as an emergency vet, I’m in tears explaining the situation. The receptionist comes back on the phone to tell me that the doctor said she doesn’t have time to see him, they could see him MAYBE tomorrow but Thursday for sure..... WHAT?! He could choke to death!....I ask...well can I at least talk to the vet and perhaps get some pointers or suggestions on what to look for or what to do with him?? The receptionist said, no we do not do that sorry, we have to see him. So away I go to the other emergency clinic(Fish Creek Veterinary clinic)....ran in with him in my arms, he’s gagging and trying to vomit, fluids coming out of his nose and mouth.....they immediately scooped him out of my arms and rushed him back before even knowing our information...I didn’t even call on the way and we had never even been there before. Within 15 minutes we got a diagnosis and medication and were on our way home...... The advertise as a emergency clinic yet only had one doctor on staff yesterday and they didn't even make an attempt to fit us in... IT TOOK 15 MINUTES! For this reason, I have lost ALL faith in this clinic and I will no longer be using them to care for my animals, nor will my friends. I want to know that when my clinic is open, I can rely on them! I can not rely on this clinic and they proved that yesterday! - Take emergency services off of your website because you CLEARLY are not equipped/staffed properly to provide that service!

Both the reception and the doctor are very friendly and patient. The reception lady went to great length to help me sort out my dog's profile transfer from my previous vets. The doctor seems to genuinely care about my dog and spent a lot of time explaining to me how to take better care of my dog. Also the price is better than my previous vets. Excellent vets who care about your animals. The vet always explains your care options and allows you to choose what you think is best - there's never a feeling of judgement. They have a great system for appointment reminders, particularly for those once-a-year needs like vaccines. I order food for my dog there as well and the order always comes in quickly. We have had our dog for 2 years and he has always seen Dr Raj at Copperfield Vet. We are always able to get in, they are not TOO busy, which is so necessary when your best little buddy falls ill. They have proven to be the most reasonable too when calling around for vaccines or a few minor procedures our pup had. We don’t price things out anymore,we just know they are the most reasonable and the service is always consistent.

My dog Angel has been with the doctors at the Copperfield Vet Hospital her entire life. Angel came to me after Dr. Sandhu amputated one of her hind legs which was broken beyond repair by a human when she was 1 week old. Although Angel would prefer not to get her yearly vaccinations I have no problem getting her to the clinic. She sit's very nice to be weighed, perhaps it's the treat she gets afterwards, hum?!? Being a new dog owner and an owner of a tripod at that, I've been a bit protective, we'll say. The front end staff and all the doctors have taken fantastic care of both Angel and I. Angel is now almost 4 and I wouldn't take her anywhere else.

The doctors and staff at Copperfield Veterinary Hospital have been amazing. They are patient, knowledgeable and clearly love and care about animals. We have been going to Copperfield for over 5 years. One of our cats is getting older and going to the vet has become an increasing ordeal for him over the years. He fights, screams and hisses, and the doctors and staff not only showed amazing care and patience with him, but offered to come and see the cat at our home instead, resulting in a quick, easy, stress-free appointment. We have also had our other cat in for dental surgery. The initial tests and diagnoses were thorough and informative. The possible courses of treatment were thoroughly explained to us, and the eventual surgery went flawlessly and our cat recovered wonderfully. Scheduling is always easy (even with the home visits) and we get convenient reminders for check-ups, vaccinations, etc. We would definitely recommend them without hesitation.

After dental surgery, my cat was given regular allergy injections in intervals of approximately two weeks in order to bring down a severe inflammation of the gums. This inflammation was an indication of an allergic reaction that was never specified by the vets at this clinic. According to a second opinion by an allergy specialist at a different pet clinic, the medication that was given to my cat to relieve allergies should've never been administered since it causes diabetes in cats if given over longer periods of time. Hence, I spent money on medication that could've caused my cat additional medical problems. The least that I should be able to expect in this case is a reimbursement for the unnecessary and unhealthy allergy injections. NOT RECOMMENDED

Copperfield Vet Hospital has been absolutely incredible as we've ventured into the world of puppy owners! With our little guy just under 1 year old, the staff at CVH have been such great supports. One could say that we are almost overly concerned with everything associated with little Wallie (especially with us being first-time puppy parents), but they are always there to lend support, help and guidance without judgement. Even after a late night trip to Emergency, we got a call the next morning from CVH checking on the status of our little nugget. We will definitely recommend CVH to everyone we can in the area. They answere any questions I have. My puppies come out very relaxed and not stressed. So they are taken care of even when I cannot be in the room with them. I am very comfortable taking my puppies to this vet.

They were very nice and excepting to treat my dog during covid-19. My dog had an ear infection and require some solution. Basic yeast infection. Very common in dogs and vets see this everyday. I took my dog in and we were there for about 20 min in total. Total charge for the visit and solution: $286. This is stealing from pet owners. I spoke to lots of other vets and they said this should have been at most, $115. Including the solution. I recently had to take another pup to the vet for an allergy infect after hours and had steroid shots, 6 hours watch over and teeth cleaning for $80. This place is steeling from their customers.
