Not even worth the 1 star. Doctors just want you out so they say it's a pulled muscle or muscle spasm. Multiple visits and that's what we get told everytime. Clearly not looking into it further cause they don't want to do more work

For a small centre, they do an adequate job barring major issues. Just don't expect miracles. Wait times vary depending on volume of traffic, but beat most major hospitals by a fair bit. All in all, decent for minor things, but go to Woodstock or London if things are really bad.

I was there this morning I waited about 2 hours before I was seen people came in after me, one person said she didn't have a voice but didn't shut up the whole time in the waiting room when your feeling like crap and all you wanna do is sleep it's frustrating to see someone who is clearly better off then you are getting called in before you, with the exception of ambulances I understand that I knew I had strep before even walking into emerg and I knew what I needed I think if you are in emerg try to stay quiet some people are really not feeling good and don't wanna hear what you did all weekend

Without the doctors and nurses at this hospital I would only have vision in one eye. I hear people saying nothing but negative things about this hospital. Maybe I was lucky but luck has very little to do with the care I was given on multiple occasions.

Poor care on the ICU floor. My dad died today and yesterday he was granted to see his kid's after he requested, only to be denied once they showed up from Niagara and Kitchener, this place was known as the "BUTCHER SHOP" when I was 14 and I'm 40 now, it will always be known as the butcher shop.

Staff is friendly, but VERY slow! If your able too drive to Ingersoll or woodstock hospital. Its hard to say who is really at fault are health care system or this hospital.

Got taken here due to fall at 30 weeks pregnant/high risk by ambulance.. waiting in a dirty room with used needles and medications for over 2 hrs and Noone came to check mine or my baby's vitals. Desperately needed to use the bathroom but because of my injury I wasn't able to sit up, nurse just held up her wrist and said sorry can't help I'm onn modified duties and was left to get to the bed to a wheelchair alone. Had someone rush to me and pick me up and take me to another hospital where I was seen and admitted within 20 mins for distressed heartbeat for babe. Would never go here unless your in the brink of death..

The hospital is a joke. Wait times are rediculous and it seems as tho the doctors and nurses are just sitting around while children sit in pain waiting to get into triage when the hospital emergency is not busy at all. There were 3 children waiting to be seen by triage and no nurse was in there for about half an hour.

They make you wait way too long. Totally unnecessary. There is workers nurses doctors but no patients it looks like they're treating. Be prepared for a 2-6 hour weight and they seem to think who kows who needs be treated first. I have major anxiety and breathing through a straw right and have told them i cant breathe i get told to sit down. THIS HOSPITAL MAY SAVE YOUR LIKE BUT IT SUCKS! Staff is posilte though:) Still, DO NOT COME HERE!

Horrible care. They should take a look at their mission statement and adjust they're staff to match. Slow slow slow, and a lot of staff just purely don't care. The couple of nurses from one shift were very helpful, but as soon as the day shift came in my mother wasn't helped all day. Hours between small check ins with her and had to ask multiple times for more medication and every time I'd ask for something they reacted like I was being rude and inconvenient. It felt like they'd sooner let you die on the bed than care for you.

I've only ever been to Tillsonburg Hospital's emergency department. I've been 3 times now and each time my wait has been a reasonable time and I found the nurses and doctor's to be friendly and helpful.

CT scan technician has zero bedside manner. It also shouldn't take 3 weeks to get an appointment date.

One of the best emergency rooms I've been to. Dr. Sohal recognized my issue right away and was extremely thorough in his examination. All emergency rooms have waits, but this one was decent (2.5 hours and there were a lot of people waiting). It was worth it though. Had a severe skin infection and 2 other doctors had missed it. He knew what it was right away. Would recommend this hospital over Simcoe any day. Hope this helps.

I saw the 2 star rating right before my colinoscapy which gave me a bit of a scare. I have to say though that I was very happy with the service I received. Everyone was very nice and professional. I don't do a ton of reviews but thought I owed it to the place to bring the average up a bit. The free parking was nice too. I threw $20 in the parking donation bin as I was so pleased with my experience.

Was a complete JOKE! I was brought in by ambulance because I hurt my back so badly I couldn't stand or walk, they wanted to put me in a wheelchair and shove me back out into the waiting room. Soooo they left me in the hall I had to use the restroom but couldn't stand or walk so the gave me a urinal to go in while there was a family with children right there which is EXTREMELY inappropriate! So there I waited no assistance just a rude nurse that I was nothing but kind too trying to be understanding to her job

This hospital. Is rediculous!! I wish I could give less than one star. The doctors do not care for the patients at all. I honestly have nothing but terrible things to say but Don't even know where to start. Today, I came straight after work with a concern because I cannot just simply get in to see my family doctor and the doctor told me... "this is not an emergency you are costing the province loads of money, go home and see your family doctor instead" other times I've waited and waited while triage nurses have a little coffee break and gossip right in front of you... I was worried because I was bleeding during my first trimester... I waited for my results for 2 hours in a waiting room, then a very cold nurse who me I hadn't even been dealing with or introduced to comes in and says " so you WERE pregnant?" I was mortified because she had just unknowingly given me my result I had been dreading.. She left the room and I waited ANOTHER 1.5 hours for the de. To come and tell me the news... It's a wonder this "hospital" is still up and running at all! I think his name was Dr. Wood, or some name beggining with a w... He should just retire already if he isn't willing to service patients. Must be nice to be getting a paycheck when all you do is tell someone to go away. How rude.

This hospital did a great job in the emerge. There was quite the lineup and I was expecting a long night. Due to the caring, quick and respectful staff I was in and cared for in only an hour. The doctor was very knowledgable and gave me the possibilities of what my problem may be and gave good explanations of how and why I was in pain. Thank you for all your help and support TDMH

Was in emerge recently for heart issues. They are so short staffed they're run off their feet but they do their best. I learned a lot down there! The doctors are very good, and I'm grateful to them. I spent several days/nights in emerge as there were no available beds. One wing is completely closed due to staffing shortages- hence the three day stay in emerge. Not ideal, but definitely better than nothing. Pack your patience as it's a small hospital in what was once a small town. Go to Woodstock if you can. Dire emergencies only in T'burg. imo

Maybe if the staff at registration didn't role their eyes at patients checking into emerge, actually verified contact information correctly/efficiently and actually had a doctor IN the hospital on a Friday night then perhaps it wouldn't hurt to say they deserve at least a 2 star. But it doesn't and never will. I've been living in this town my entire life and have never been so embarrassed and ashamed to admit how poorly the healthcare is and how poorly this hospital is ran. If I were able to give negative star ratings, this would be the first one to get it.

This Hospital is a joke. My boyfriend suffering from a lung infection ( he knows this because he gets them yearly ) was refused treatment after waiting 4 and a half hours, seeing everyone else brought in before him. Without doing any tests whatsoever he was deemed 'fine' . We will be seeking a second a opinion..if u have any other choice do not go to tillsonburg district memorial Hospital ????????????????

One star because you can't give zero. This isn't a hospital it's an oversized clinic. Got a pregnant girlfriend who was supposed to see ob tomorrow. Since getting symptoms needs to get tested . Twice we waited on covid assessment center where automated voice tells you how important your call is. Only to get hung up on after 30 mins. On the third call now expecting to get the hang up. Call switchboard and they will only tell you to call the useless number like nobody has any information on any other part of the hospital. They need a complete restart and restaff if this hospital is actually going to help anyone who needs prompt medical assistance.. if your reading this you'll have better luck fixing yourself with doctor google. If you have the option go to Woodstock hospital then do it(they are great).. we do not and must rely on this broken social hub ... I mean hospital.

The staff at the hospital didn't believe that I was sick. I had the chills, the shakes, a fever and they still brushed me off. After waiting over five hours I finally asked how much longer it would be. The nurse tried to tell me I hadn't been waiting for five hours since her computer only said four, but she failed to realize that I had been waiting for an hour and a half in the "red triage chairs" before reaching her and her computer. I was told 20-30 minutes. After 40, they call someone else. They called everyone who was there before me and most of those who came after me too! Even the seasonal worker who had a slight cough got in and out hours before me... How can they treat patients like that? Positively despicable!

I gave one star because that is the lowest it will go. They don't care at all about their patients and have no regard for the order that people should be taken care of. I have been sitting here for 3 hours and all the people that were here before me have been helped and a lot of people that came after me. Don't ever go here unless you are prepared to be here all day. BRING A TENT AND A SLEEPING BAG.

Hello everyone! I am the first one to agree that our health care system in Canada has some issues. Although, from the Monday Apr 16th that I had my colonoscopy and endoscopy done with the awesome Dr. Barnett, Gastroenterologist, to having a CT scan booked the following Friday, where we found out there was a tumour, to meeting with the Amazing Dr Carmo Colaco, General Surgeon on the following Tuesday Apr 24th, to having my Pre-Opp check up that following Thurs Apr 26, Blood Transfusion on Friday Apr 27 and into surgery on Tuseday May 1st and finally today a phone call from Dr. Colaco advising that pathologist report is in and all is good!! 3 1/2 weeks in total!! Absolutely amazing care!! It has been a whirl wind of emotions, but not once did I feel let down by the medical professionals that took care of me. Dr. Colaco, Nurses and Staff at Tilsonburg District Memorial Hospital you are such an amazing group of professionals!! I want to thank you all SO much!!! I got nuthin but Love!!!! I would strongly advise against going to the emergency room , the nurses sit around and gossip about other patients while you sit beside them I waited 5 hours at 2 am on a Tuesday while they talked about where they felt like going for breakfast. Mind you if you have an actual appointment, are getting an ultra sound done or having work blood done I think they do a pretty decent job. Jusy avoid the emergency room is all I can say definatly attend Woodstock or London of you can.

I was here for three days required ultrasound, cat scan, blood work daily (they do in house results in 40 mins) and a lot of help from the nurses and Doctors. The staff were amazing with working with a shoe string budget and always on the move. I hope more people realise how hard the team at TDMH work! Good job

I went in with what i thought was a lung infection.Within five min had seen the Triage nurse.Within another ten i had seen the receptionist and was talking to Dr. Chowdhury.He listened to what i had to say listened to my chest and sent me out the door with a prescription for antibotics. Fast,friendly and painless. Thank you Tillsonburg emerg.

Unorganized, condescending nurses. The standard of care and courtesy at this hospital is troubling. Often takes up to an hour to even be triaged. I had to hold my toddler in back-arching pain for hours in the waiting room. Avoid at all costs- drive to Woodstock if you can (always an excellent experience at that hospital).

Great for small stuff... for more complicated things a larger city hospital would probably suit you better. Sometimes the wait is hours and sometimes it's a mere 20 minutes. Just depends on the day.

6.5 hours in ER....why... staffing shortage. It would be really nice not to leave patients in the waiting room until shift change when your staffing levels improve. You could at least let people know so they can decide on how they can get the best care possible for them.
