This Hospital is included in the category of General hospital.
This hospital is the poster child on the incompetence of Quebec health care. Don't ever expect logic and common sense or common courtesy to be anywhere found. The staff get off on making you wait 10 or more hours for an emergency. The doctors take their sweet time and have very little to say. Total joke here, if you speak English, good luck!
Terrible hospital I don’t believe they have doctors it’s been 6 hours I’m waiting…
(Translated) Appointment at 9h full world come back for 10h 11h and pass .. returned 14h not to pass for my meeting of 9h ... its done hard in tbk (Original) Rendez vous a 9h plein monde rentre pour 10h 11h et passe .. rendu 14h pas passer pour mon rendez vous de 9h ... sa fait dure en tbk
Worst hospital and poor staff!! We came to emergency with my friend to see her mother who was brought in by ambulance. Her mother suffers from high blood pressure and wasn't feeling well at work. When she got to the hospital she was conscious and for whatever reason they started cpr on her...but she was fully conscious and they bruised her chest. Okay...now when we got to the hospital we were looking for the room they had her in emergency but it was hard to find. Looking fot directions to the room, everyone we spoke to refused to speak to us in English. The nurses were rude, and one in particular only spoke in French really fast and was kicking us out and telling us to go in the family waiting room. I asked where the family room was and in French he told us to go outside and look for it as he motioned with his hand shooing us away. I told him "sorry sir I didn't understand what you said" and he walked away from us and said in French "ya ok miss I know you understood very well"....we are in a hospital and it is not right as a "professional" nurse to be talking to anybody in that manner. This is one of the worst hospitals I have been to and probably the most unprofessional staff I have seen so far. Highly unacceptable!
First off, the man who answers your phone line when you press 0 is extremely rude! Second, the wait times at this hospital is beyond outrageous. Even with an appointment.
(Translated) You almost have to be on the verge of dying for service (Original) Faut pratiquement que Tu sois sur le bord de mourir pour avoir du service
Horrible hospital. Poor staff. They sit in emerge doing god knows what and have people waiting for 8 plus hours to be seen by the 1 doctor working. Absolutely ridiculous!
(Translated) The only hospitable person is the security guard at the entrance of the emergency my star is for him.
The emergency wait room is absolutely dirty, with the high traffic this hospital has during a pandemic you would at least expect to see someone making sure the area is clean and maintained. Receptionist is absolutely rude to the patients, she has her earphones on so she has a hard time listening to the patients inquiries and barely replies. The wait room is full of people trying to easy pains they may be going through and the news channel is on in high volume. Very disappointing to see that in a first world hospital, a place where empathy should be a primary value and of course cleanliness shouldn’t even be questioned.
(Translated) Best hospital for the birth of a child, best rooms and best nurses!
Great hospital, Well located. Nicely renovated! Do my blood tests here and the service is quick.
(Translated) Deadlines too slow in emergencies and appointments especially for immigrants (waited more than 10 hours in emergency with kidney pain!). Lack of flexibility of administrative staff. Doctors in emergency who make you swallow anti-biotics for 2 weeks without your state of health requiring it as in my case ... and so on ... I prefer to suffer at home than to go to this hospital. . One star is a lot for this hospital, to be avoided at all costs!
(Translated) Hello, I was hospitalized March 10 at La Salle Hospital and I had very good care. I stayed almost 2 days in the emergency room and received immediate care when I arrived by ambulance. Then I was transferred for another 2 days in a room and I am very satisfied with the care I received from the nurses (es) and doctors, not to mention the attendants (es). I sincerely say a big thank you to everyone who took care of me. I also want to thank the good care I received from emergency health paramedics prior to my arrival at the hospital. Congratulations to them too.

Had a great experience at this hospital! The nursing staff and doctors were friendly, informative, and efficient. Felt truly cared for.
I can't speak about the care they provide, but rather how they treat families. My father was admitted to the hospital on Thursday and although I'm the primary caregiver, they refuse to give me any info on the phone. I came to the hospital 3 days later and won't let me in. A nurse was supposed to come talk to me but I've bern waiting over an hour and nothing. Absolute disgrace.
If i could give 0 stars I would. I arrived at the hospital at 9:30 at night. My boyfriend was given advice from info sante to go to the emergency for his stomach pain. When we arrive there were approximately 7-8 people ahead of us. It is 2:37 and only 3 people habe passed. More people have left than been called in. I and many people here are furious. It is almost like they want people to leave. Terrible place. Go to the Jewish or the Glen, NOT here!
(Translated) I do not recommend this hospital. If you have the choice to go elsewhere. I received a one-day outpatient surgery and in addition to the exceptional work of surgeon Dr. Bergman, the nurse team and the caseworkers were really incompetent, impatient, naughty, I still have chills without going back in the details. Thank you for considering this message.
Maternity unit is excellent, exceed any expectations. Best service, attention and personal is super professional.
15 hours to see a dr that is insane
The waiting is horrible. You're looking at a minimum of 6 hours. Make sure you bring extra batteries for your mobile device, cuz there are only 2 wall socket.. A brand new extension and they couldn't add more wall sockets
There is not enough doctors so you have to wait for hours.
Had a surgery a few days ago and want to thank all stuff from reception to surgeon. Specifically want to mention a surgeon Dr Tavana because people will search for the reviews. Everyone was very caring. Thank you.
(Translated) Experience this in maternity just brilliant !! The care was perfect from start to finish, the nurses are on top, always reassuring and very attentive. (Translated) More than 12 hours of waiting with my 2-year-old son, he fell on his head, he had to have stitches and glue ... it never happened ... we went home. I went to the clinic the next day, we went in 6h, less bad ... It is a shame! Better not fall into this emergency ... Congratulations to the incompetent who run this public institution and spending our money, you're sick ... no thank you (Original) Plus de 12h d'attente avec mon fils de 2 ans, il est tombé sur la tête, il devait avoir des points de souture et de la colle... ce n'est jamais arrivé... nous sommes rentré à la maison.. je suis allez a la clinique le lendemain, nous sommes passé en 6h, moins pire... Waiting for long time for doctor . Approximately 40 to 50 minutes .
I'm not sure what all the low reviews stem from, but the Unité Familiale des Naissances is amazing. I've been to 4 star hotels that could learn a thing or two here in the customer relations department. There is no shortage of empathy. Everyone was great. That being said, it is a hospital. The food is gonna be mediocre and you're probably gonna have to wait. If you don't, be extremely concerned... Go in with the right expectations and you'll be quite pleased.
Had a great experience at this hospital! The nursing staff and doctors were friendly, informative, and efficient. Felt truly cared for.
Arrived at 2pm with serious abdominal pain. Waited 6 hours just to get my pressure checked. Finally after 7 hours I was passed to the exam room to see the doctor and I have been waiting for 3 hours and NO doctor. 10 hours at an emergency room! I didn't know this was even possible. I saw families with children waiting the same amount of time.
(Translated) Maternity wing super! Private rooms for childbirth very well equipped. Really beautiful nurses. Not a word about our experience for the birth of our child. Waiting to get examine for 1:30 hours and waiting in exame room for 2 hours, and the examination tool 1 min, terrible.

(Translated) today's receptionist at 11am family planing was super rude and shouldn't be present, should be retired or do anything else as education is essential especially in a hospitable setting, education and empathy, moreover she did not want to give a number to reschedule my consultation, horrible experience in a women's clinic, I will never come back! Worst wait times

(Translated) A series of events occurred when I first came to this hospital. During my miscarriage, firstly, I was left soaked with blood on a chair for almost 9 hours of time. I left the hospital to be told to come back the next day at 8am to see a gynecologist, when it should be there at 12:30. Contraction after contraction, I had to beg the triage nurse to give me tylenols. I was crying badly and the only one who helped me, is the security guard. After finally being admitted to a room, we lost my blood tube to finally find it and my papers at the exit. Subsequently, I went to a first rv with a gynecologist without problems and then to a 2nd the following week. The problem happened when I was told that my RV had been canceled by phone, a call I never received, so to be told to go home. I was given my papers again and when I got home, I realized that I had been given the medical records of another patient that I still have in my hand. This is to say that for the first time in my life, I judge a hospital less than 0. No professionalism, execrable mood, both on the spot than by phone.
She's a mean one, even do her better half wanted to take city transport on a Beautiful sunny day, she already had her mind made up. Talking the car to Lasalle Hospital her way or the Highway, i understand it's her operation and having someone with her will make her
Delivered my first baby here. Nice and helpful staff made the whole process go very well.
Best hospital out there. They care, their friendly and efficient. I will never attend another hospital as these guys treat you with respect. Thank you to the whole team in Emergency and the gyno team.
I waited for 12.5 hours for an emergency and I go back home, no doctor saw me. From 9 PM to midnight no patient was called by a doctor. None. At least half of patients left without seeing a doctor after hours of waiting, it was awful. The nurse seemed preoccupied only by herself and she said 'there are a lot of good actors in emergency room today'. For her, we were there to act a pain. I will never again go back there. No consideration for the patient. 0 starts, not even one.

If I could give a negative zero review I would...this the the worst hospital I've even been to. This is my second time at this hospital in 10 years and both times the service was terrible. If ever sick and have ti be transported by ambulance to a hospital I always beg them never to bring me to hospital if there is no other hospital available I would rather stay home and die than ever come back to this hospital
Actually really surprised with the quality of care and the dedication of the staff. They took extremely good care of me and I’m eternally grateful.
Went to the emergency. The triage nurse very sweet and very patient, then the doctor Dr Aharon Silverman was amazing (actually a doctor with bedside manners) very calm, very thorough very conscientious, the radiology department a very nice man, I did not feel rushed. He told me take your time he explained everything very well. I can seriously say that they were all amazing. Yes I waited 6 hours but that beyond their control as I saw one ambulance after another come in. Of course they had to take on ambulance patients first. So be patient.
To be Honest i felt i had a decent experience and people were comfortable to talk and nice! Yes they have lines even for lab works but i still felt this was a good experience after seeing all those negative reviews
Pregnant 15 weeks. Went to emergency with a very bad cold, fever and abdominal pain. Triage start good at 12:30pm. The same thing, she ask questions, take your blood pressure, fever and go wait to be called. I was hoping being call soon, because the waiting room wasn’t full, literally 5 patients before me. The time pass by, my fever get high again. Nobody get call. Go to the nurse like 4 times. I can give you tynelol. You are priority madame, there is just 1 doctor! Ok. 6 pm I get up ask for my hospital card back and leave. 6 hours of waiting to see a doctor, is insane for an emergency hospital. INSANE. You need to go ask the nurse and tell her you’re worse. She can’t say anything, she can’t help you. She can’t run a test, nothing. Hope never had to get back again.

(Translated) When you're not feeling well or afraid for someone ... you tend to see everything in black. The staff who work at the hospital are made up of human beings just like me. I gave birth here and had a great experience, but for anything else other than birth do NOT come here. Emergency isn't even "Emergency " you wait there for EVER no matter WHAT, I'm here for a very important reason, spend from 4-6 in the waitin room Than you wait another 10 hours in the room waitin for the doctor! I'm never coming back here unless it's to give birth. So unorganized.
(Translated) The service of the Family Birth Unit is exceptional. Respect for the rights and choices of the mother. I don’t understand this hospital. I’ve been there 3 times and it’s always the same, I waited for 4 hours to see a doctor and when they finally called me I had to wait another hour to get checked and the doctor was rushing.
I've personally have never had too bad of a wait time here when needing to be seen. And the overall appearance of the hospital inside has improved over the recent years. My only "con" would be the doctors gave my grandmother the greenlight to go home and she died in her sleep that night. I doubt it was their fault or negligence, but leaves me with a bad memory of this hospital.
I've been here several times because I live close by and I always regret it. 8-12 hours wait, most of the time there's only one doctor working the ER and not many more nurses. I once waited two hours in the examination room just to get my blood drawn by a nurse. The doctors barely look at you - you're just an inconvenience. I hate this hospital. Despicable.
I've been to the Glen, the West Island, the Lasalle and the Verdun hospitals at various times for various reasons. Lasalle would definitely rank at the bottom of my list. Slow service, ghost hallways, racist and rude staff members.
Incompetent and clueless staff, also ridiculous service in emergancy. They need to work on what is priority and what is not.
Best place to have your kids born!!! Private rooms and staff is amazing. Can't speak for the rest of the hospital.
Worst experience ever why do they call it an emergency room if your in pain and waiting for 10 hours to see of there's an actual doctor that works here this is ridiculous and its not only this hospital these high played so called employee are taking advantage or there isn't enough doctors been put on the floor am actually writing this and still waiting after 10 these service needs to be improve and fast.

Too long time for whiting lot of people left
After a car accident and experiencing terrible headaches and back pain I went to this hospital ER! Honestly waited 1h30mins to go through triage. Then only to wait another 5 HOURS IN THE ER AND NOT SEEING ANY DOCTOR I went home the same way I came in! This hospital emergency room should be shut down for lack of emergency services! Never go there if your life depends on it! Disappointed in the health care system in Qc! Why even bother keeping these hospitals open if you’re not going to be treating patients! If only I could rate no star!
Ridiculous waiting time for a Doctor, my pregnant wife had bleeding, we went there thinking it would be quick, 5 hours later we left because we couldn't bare the wait anymore Don't understand how this place stays open it is an embarrassment to our health system
there is no ophthalmologist and no one said it to us during triage. i found out about it after almost 9h waiting. i have been just said to go home after so long waiting time. very bad emergency department.
The nurse was rude and yelled at us all the time. Very bad experience. Avoid this place as you can.
The maternity ward is incredible! 90% of the nurses and doctors that helped me during my many trips over the year were extremely pleasant, helpful, and talented. From the Gare clinic, ultrasound department, and blood test department to the maternity section, all staff were nice and able to answer my questions. Maybe 2 out of the 30 staff members I dealt with were rude or unwelcoming. Amid covid, there were some limitations like my husband not being able to attend appointments, or tight waiting areas, though I never felt alone with all the great nurses available. I would rate this 5 star but my emergency room experiences could be improved. Staff at the emergency section do not all speak english and make you repeat tests unnecessarily. Yes the wait time is horrendous, but that is like all emergency services in hospitals. I've visited the emergency section about 6 times this year and everytime there is a mistake or an additional unnecessary process taken. Overall the staff at Lasalle are amazing, I would highly recommend it if you are pregnant or need just a blood test done. I will definitely be returning for my future children.
Very very very bad hospital 7 to 8 hour wait and mainly in emergency Seriously!!! Someone please tell them the meaning of EMERGENCY Very bad experience But of course first and last time not going there in my life again and not going to suggest this place too anyone ....!! VERY BAD
I went to the emergency with a severe headache and stomach pain. I was very tired and about to vomit. They refused to let me lay down on a bed and I told them several times that I cant sit for that long. Very bad experiance and a very LONG waiting time. I waited about 6 or 7 hours screaming in the corridors. The medical staff seem like they hate their jobs. They dont work with humanity in a field were humanity is required. I hope the management of this hospital will be revised by the govermant. It is a waste of our taxes to pay to libve those terrible horrible experiences.
Slow service(s)
(Translated) most horrible experience of my life, 12 hours wasted without result, with unbearable grief, after 12 hours I left the hospital and went to another.
Was there with my aged mother who needed medical care and they were very helpful and professional as far as author can tell. She was later transfered to a closer Hospital, but while there the nursing staff were more than helpful even allowing author to stay with mother beyond closed hours. That was a late night of course.

Worst place…waiting time is long even there was 5-6 before me and I spent 8 hours in triage and after that I went to see doctor and they didn’t come in room again for 45 minutes and Doctors are really can not find health issues.
(Translated) No team support. Make you feel like you're responsible for being sick. We get attacked by the team instead of feeling supported. Seriously, I do not recommend.
Loved the clinic with my OB. Great nurses when I gave birth except for one. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She told me to shut up and keep quiet while I was in labor.
Hospital is very clean, I’ll give them that. And you’ll see triage in less than 10 min. But the ER nurses and doctors are just down right lazy. They sit on their phones and drink coffee and not help anyone. I got here at 8:30 and saw triage like I said in like 10 mins. And it’s now almost 10:30 and they called one person the ER is empty there like 5 people in the ER.. I thought nurses and doctors wanted to help people’s health. I thought that’s why they got into this physician. It’s sad to say that there’s doctors that really don’t care about people.
Staff is very nice and caring. Hospital is fairly renovated

Had a great experience at this hospital! The nursing staff and doctors were friendly, informative, and efficient. Felt truly cared for.
I didn't get a servis!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, whatever your ailment may be, it will be made exponentially worse by the chairs you will be made to sit in for hours. I'm not a difficult person, but seriously sitting in those chairs for 7 hours drained whatever energy I had left. They are the pitts. This emergency room was newly renovated....I cannot fathom that someone thought those chairs would make for a comfortable wait. Or maybe nobody really cares about that detail. The nurses are very nice and helpful. One of the doctor's I saw was very cold and abrupt. I guess the emergency room experience isn't supposed to be an enjoyable one to begin with though right ...
Emergency room care is awful. I've never waited less than seven hours except for my last visit where I waited four hours and then collapsed to the floor, unconscious. THEN they saw me right away. Apparently it was the patients waiting that found me a doctor.
(Translated) I had to wait 2 hours just to get sorted. I do not know if I was unlucky or it's normal here.
Absolutely stellar staff in the maternity ward. So happy we chose this hospital. Private rooms for delivery and after. Kind and skilled nurses and doctors.
Twice they have saved my life, literally, mtuesday at 3 AM brought in by Ambulance, came home yesterday, everyone is amazing doctors and nurses compassionate, my heros
very disrespectful doctor and poor staff especially during holidays! losss so much time just to be told to go in another hospital to do a special treatment. LASALLE HOSPITAL POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE POOR STAFF CANNOT KEEP UP TO WITH DEMANDS.
Came for emergency, gallbladder issue. Ended up waiting 8.5 hours waiting. I felt so bad of patients sleeping on the chairs with pain and some of them blood. No one care.
Excellent care for my laparotomy and myomectomy. I had surgery last Feb. 8th, and I am recovering successfully after a three-day hospitalisation at the maternity ward. The nurses are excellent, professional, caring, and friendly. I felt blessed and well-cared for. Dr Claude Fortin and his team were fantastic! He had the guts to do a surgery nobody dared doing for the last 8 years. I'm humbly thankful and will say with confidence that women are in good hands at LaSalle. Just make sure you tell them your health history, communicate respectfully and properly, have a good record of your health background. If any of the amazing nurses ever read this, thank you!!!! I wouldn't be healing this well if it weren't for you. My mom, who is a retired registered nurse and licensed teacher, agrees with me. You guys rock!

Been waiting for 12 hours to see a doctor. From 5pm to 5am. We we're only 3 people in the emergency room from 12 to 5 and the only people who keep getting called are people who aren't there.

ER is TRASH.
Came in with my father who broke his wrist the day before flying out for vacation, the staff, paramedics, nurses and doctors were absolutely brilliant. They got him fixed up and we were able to make our early morning flight. I can't put into words how happy we are with their service. Thanks!
(Translated) Your emergency security guard is very friendly! Thank you, Jacques! Merci, Jacques! :)
Waited 12 hours in the emergency waiting room for nothing, no doctor saw my husband. I went home and my husband stayed there waiting for another four hours and nothing happened! Worst hospital ever.
For blood tests in the morning, to avoid re-lining up, make sure you ask for a ticket number to the security guard even if there is a lineup. Don't rely on the receptionist to tell you to get a number at the beginning, the signs about needing a number only starts at spot 18. My wife was only told to line up and waited 1.5h before realizing this and had to go back to the end of the line (and no they "can't do anything" about it even if you tell them you were lining up for 1.5h). The security guard was human enough to come back to her 20 mins later to give her a "lost ticket" and she was able to go back around the same spot she was at after waiting for 1.5h
Been in the ER 3 times, 2 of them i was done and out in 2/3 hours, the other time took 6. The doctors were good and respectful

My mother Has Thyroid Cancer and she came here to get it checked on ( 2/19/2021 ) since its been a year now that she hasn't been able to get it checked due to covid19. Dr Paola Lagos Arevalo does a basic lungs check up with a stethoscope and tells my mother that her lungs are fine??? and sends my mother home with a cough syrup avoiding my mother's concern regarding her thyroid check up that she waited 8 hours for....Prior to that she had a covid test done. Medical negligence at its finest !
Worst place. Was sent there after an accident. Spent the whole day, evening and night. Saw a doctor after 9pm, and he had been sitting at his desk for hours (a few meters away from me) eating snacks, talking about his car insurance, etc. A nurse even told me not to expect anything from him and ended up talking to him because I was in pain and no one was doing anything. He finally came to talk me I had a facture patella (flat bone in front of the knee) and would probably need nothing but time, and said they'd transfer me to the Jewish because they had no one specialized at Lasalle. He talked loudly about patient's cases, including personal details and names, and loudly said that he wouldn't respect the fact that I am Transgender even though it was mentioned in my files. He said that in the hallway, in front of me and other patients. Turns out I had a RIPPED TENDON, and they didn't transfer me, they sent me back home for a whole week with a dislocated knee and ripped tendon (my leg was not holding), and I got a brace simply because the kind nurse was mad that no one was doing anything. The specialist at the Jewish was baffled at how incompetent the doctor had been at Lasalle, and even showed me my Xrays : no sign of any fracture. I should have had surgery already at that point. They also refused to give me any food because the same doctor supposedly didn't authorize it in my file, yet I spent hours looking at him talking instead of seeing patients, and eating while I was starving. I got there around 10am and was not allowed to drink or eat until 9, and they could only give me watered down broth and jello because they didn't have any good left. The whole corridor was empty the whole night. No one came when I needed painkillers, no one gave me gravol when I asked because the morphine was too strong, no one came when I was in distress and needed a bag to throw up and the worst part, I couldn't go to the bathroom from 9pm to 9am because no one would answer when I called to go. When I finally did they provided me with a broken wheelchair that was missing the foot part for my bad leg, so they made me hold my leg with a towel while they rolled me around. They also took the wheelchair afterwards and proceeded to disinfect it in my face (which they never did before I had to use it), saying it smelled like pee.
I was here for an operation on a deviated septum and my sinuses in general. Surgery went well, and I woke up in a fairly groggy state. The staff was helpful and let me stay for about twelve hours. I had no real complaints about any aspect of my visit. Wayfinding was pretty direct as well.

Should get a zero star Come here if you want to go home and suffer
I broke my leg when falling on the ground, and went to Hospital LaSalle for surgery. The staff are professional, helpful and friendly. Just there are not enough wheelchairs.
I went to the emergency this morning because of my pulse being very high. At the triage the nurse help me right away and I got to see a doctor really rapidly which really surprise me. Spent the whole day under observation and everyone was very nice. I got an amazing service. Thank you for your hard work!!

When you see the website says it’s 66% occupied for the emergency room, don’t trust it. It is the same s**t as other hospitals. Just be smart about your situation. If you don’t have to go, don’t. When never you choose to go you lost at least half day of you life.
I waited more than 8 hours. The receptionist told me some ppl they r here more than 10 hours, I went back home without seeing the doctor with my pain, waist my hole day. please never go to this hospital. It's my first and last time to this hospital. Next time I will.go to verdun, at least there you don't need to wait 8h. I never write any review on any site but today I was so frustrated I had to write about there bad services specially when you r in pain. When I did goggle search about this hospital I was quite surprised that I'm.not the only one had bad service with them, almost everyone had the same problem, so please next time when you r in pain better go to verdun or general, I'm sure you r not going to waite 8 h before you see the doctor.
I came in for hernia surgery. Had a super good time! Cracked jokes with the surgeons and staff the whole way through. The doctors and nurses were very kind. Would surgery again.
The maternity section is excellent. It is a very clean hospital.
The hospital has a lot of nice and friendly people but the lack of organization and lack of social skills for a few of the doctors in the emergency section makes it unpleasant. I went to the emergency today to get my results and honestly there are ways to tell people their results without belittling them or insulting them. (-_-); Literally I was stuck with a young doctor who had that "I know everything and you're wrong". I grew up in a family with doctors so she can't blatantly tell me the pains all in my head. Also she called my sister crazy just because she was taking notes which really surprised me. We got her name down before she zoomed out nervously. Anyway I shall be going back to get copies of my results because I will be sending it to my uncle for a second opinion. Trust your gut if you feel that the doc is wrong. It's your body and no one elses.
Waited 17 hours to see a doctor because I have back spasms and he didn't even prescribe me a muscle relaxer, thanks a lot

Lasalle emergency department is the worst. Not only the wait time is take forever. But the so called doctors at the emergency are a nightmare. I went for my pregnancy complication but the doctor she was so weird. How come you don't know what to tell me. She was unsure about what should she tell me. And she wasn't at all Empathetic. I wish I knew her name so I would mention it. But she was the worse doctor one can have. These kind of doctors should sit home as they have no right to be called doctors
Very difficult to reach any department. No one returns calls and some departments don't even let you leave a message. There's always an emergency so appointments run hours late because they have just one doctor apparently often. It is also not a very clean place.

(Translated) I had a horrible experience at this hospital, during my pregnancy (20 weeks). doctor very little present, and lack of rigor. nurses unfortunately not qualified for the tasks which should return to the doctors, but who do not matter what because they are afraid to call doctor it seems. I give two stars for a nurse, Amélie, kind and discouraged, and for the anesthetists who helped me with the pain and rolled my eyes to see that it had been hours that I was waiting for their intervention. I have just experienced the worst healthcare system ever. My wife tripped on the sidewalk and I took her to the hospital for emergency service. After the first aid by the nurse I was told to go and register and make payment as my wife is still in the 90 days waiting time after insurance registration. So I paid a ransom of money, a whopping $721 for emergency service and was informed that I would have to pay the Dr. an additional amount of up to $200 in cash. Then I was told to wait until called. 2 hours 15 minutes later we finally left. We were waiting alone in the waiting area for almost 20 minutes before we decided to finally leave. The lady told me she cannot return me my money. It's not just about money but I feel cheated. So much for a great healthcare system.
Very Worst experience, please avoid emergency unit of this hospital. waitting 5 hours with out seeing Doctor Dont Go to this emergency unit

Correct
WHAT A MISTAKE...This has to be one of the worst emergencies in the whole city. The wait times here are beyond ridiculous and the nursing staff is just rude. Haven't seen a doctor so can't comment on them yet smh. I've been in the waiting room for 10 hours and counting with no more then 15 people. It took over an hour just to see a triage nurse. They've called patients to the examination rooms every 2 hours; if that. So if you're not in a lot of pain and can afford to spend twice the amount of time you would at another ER then Lasalle Hospital is for you! Wish I would have read the reviews before making my way here. I do not recommend coming to this hospital at all. Avoid at all cost.
(Translated) Good reception, very satisfied with the service, Thank you very much (Original) Bonne accueil, très satisfait du service, Merci beaucoup
This is a great place to deliver your child and I have had a good experience twice. The second time it was not as good as the first but compared to the horror stories from other hospitals, it was certainly great. The post delivery care I got for me and my child could not have been better.
I waited for 45minutes with my 9 month who had a temp of 102. I asked for help noone assisted, I just had to sit and wait.
I had such a beautiful experience at this hospital. I would like to give my feedback, because I had the most beautiful experience during my labor. I highly recommend Lasalle hospital!
Having read so many bad reviews I have prepared for the worst and my visit today was perfect. It's Wednesday morning. I came for lab test (walk in weekdays 7 to 11am). Arrived at 8:10, car parking $4 for under 1 hour and $6 for 1-4 hours. Not bad. Walked in from the main entrance, immediately greeted by the staff next to the hand sanitizer. He gave me direction to the lab (one level down) and also where to get hospital card (emergency area) since it's my first visit. At the registration counter, no line, the lady clerk took my health card, asked a few questions, typed in the computer super fast, and voila my hospital card in hand in less than 5 min. Walked downstairs and saw a handful people in the waiting area. Took a number, had to select from 4 options and menu was only in French. I had number 46 and it was calling 20sth. 10min later my number was called to 1 of 4 reception desks. The lady clerk asked if I want to be spoken to in English or French. Then did the paperwork to print labels for the tests I need. Then back to the waiting area, another 5-10min later, my number was called again to 1 of 4 test stations. The nurse saw me being very uneasy as the blood was taken, she started asking me my plan for the day to help distract me. Told me results will take about two weeks to reach my doctor then gave me the cups and instructions for urine sample. The entire visit was all smooth and friendly. English wasn't an issue. On my way out a lady staff who was walking past even gave me a big smile. Before leaving the building payed my parking ticket near the entrance, 9:10, one hour exactly. Not bad eh?
I always have a good experience when I go there
Very nice staff and clean hospital !
Everyone here seems to have an attitude problem. Staff dont seem to have the patience to answer questions in a kind manner. There soo much more i have to say but my language would get a little graphic, so il stop here
As new parents, we were at the neo-natal and family unit at LaSalle hospital. They have, quite simply, the best nursing staff we've ever experienced. Compassionate, friendly, knowledgeable, fun and present. What more could future parents ask for. Hugely appreciative of their amazing team. The doctor who delivered our son was a maestro too!
In 2016, I went to the emergency With abdominal pain, waited 12 hours, was misdisgnosed and sent home. I got worst, went by ambulance they ran some test, was misdiagnosed again and sent home, the third time by ambulance they finally did a scan... Superior mesenteric vein thrombosis, they sent me asap to the Glenn Royal Victoria as I needed emergency surgery, I almost died
I had day surgery. All staff, from orderlies, nurses, the anesthesiologist and my surgeon were very good with me. They kept me calm, explained when I had questions and helped me feel as comfortable as possible. The staff work hard and although surgery is stressful, if you follow instructions, because they have them for valid reasons, then the process goes a lot smoother.

Horrible service. Every employee, including doctors, must have JUST passed in school, we're talking grades of 60 for sure! Dumb, stupid, uneducated. DIRTY HOSPITAL no cleaning staff, just loud employees fooling around on their iphones, NO ENGLISH, stay away unless you want assisted-suicide!

Rubbish hospital ever..Bad doctors and bad experience ever..Don’t go there..????
Husband was brought in via ambulance. Paramedic stayed in er with him for quite a bit while he was being looked at by doctor. ER nurses on shift night and next morning were wonderful and very caring. Dr. Badar stayed late to find the problem. Surgery the following afternoon. Very good OR team. Doctor Badar explained everything. ICU nurses were the best! Special thanks to Fanny,France,Melissa, and Lise and Caroline. These nurses were so good and so caring. Everyone should get 5 stars. Even down to the cleaning people during the day and all the security guards at the E R. The reason for 4 stars is that we are English speaking. Came to LaSalle since we had been here before and it was excellent service. 2 day nurses in ICU didn't speak any English at all. When a loved one is extremely sick and also you, yourself are going thru a scary time, you want your language spoken. I used the little French I know, but, one of the 2 nurses wouldn't even try. Very aggravating when they work with the (very sick ) and we can't communicate. All medical personnel should speak both French and English, especially in a hospital. With that said, this is the best hospital for care in the ER and all the staff. Thanks to all that kept my husband alive.
Had a great experience at this hospital! The nursing staff and doctors were friendly, informative, and efficient. Felt truly cared for.
(Translated) Finally a hospital in Montreal that looks great! I received good service at the front desk and the doctor was super fine. I would also like to highlight the good work of family planning nurses ❤ (Original) Enfin un hôpital à Montréal qui a de l'allure! Worst ER experience ever. I waited an eternity to be seen despite the fact that I was pregnant. The best and most reputable aspect of this hospital is their labor and delivery ward. My daughter was born at this hospital and they were fantastic. Clean, professional, open to natural birth and they also work with midwives from the birthing center in Pointe Claire. They only have private rooms for birth and recovery which is really nice once the baby is born. If you're having a baby, hands down one of the best hospitals!
Thank you to the whole team at the Birth Unit. You guys really made the whole journey amazing and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you guys. So devoted and hard working <3

Arrived,at 5 PM two people in waiting room. Walked out at 10pm still had not seen a doctor. Pain was so bad I couldn't stand it. Had a cortisone shot there last week and now I cant get out of bed the pain is so bad . I am a 74 old woman. Hoever decides what is urgent needs to look at more details.

Their maternity unit is the best in town. I am so glad I picked Lasalle Hospital to give birth to my baby even though I don't live in Montreal. I visited their maternity unit numerous times during my pregnancy for all sorts of problems and each time, I waited max 1 hour to see a doctor. The nurses are great and all the family docs and ob/gyns as well. Thanks for taking care of me and my baby!
I had an excellent experience today at this hospital. I arrived at 7:30am to get my hospital card, having first been greeted by a security guard who asked me pertinent questions in regards to covid. I had my own new N-95 mask, but had I not, masks were offered. I was directed to the basement where blood tests were being done. I got a number and my 8am appointment through Clicsante was honored after passing through an inscription kiosque where my information, and referral were verified. The gentleman there couldn't have been nicer. My glycemic test was done in a very tidy, clean and modern area. The technician was efficient and courteous. I returned after 2 hours for the follow up blood test, after waiting in the airy, bright waiting room at the min entrance. This hospital is small, but has had a renovation. The parking was on site.
I waited 13 hours. I went back home. I was NEVER EVEN SERVED, please never go to this hospital

(Translated) Two bad experiences at Lasalle hospital, especially in the emergency! 1- First experience: I went to the emergency room for severe pain and I will never go there again. You are not even treated like a human. I saw Dr. Rithy-Philip Phay who does not even show up .. and was super rough and abrupt during his physical examination. I already had very bad pain and it hurt me very much during his exam (whereas no other health professional who did the same physical exam hurt me as much) and when I screamed during one of his movements the most abrupt, he got angry at me for shouting. Besides, he ignored certain information I was giving him. I understand that they are in a hurry, but I prefer to wait the necessary time and have a good treatment. The nurse (tall in his forties of Romanian origin) was also awful, did not show up, did not give a bell to ring, so I weighed a white button on the wall because I needed help and he came to see me and he got angry with me and left without even asking me what I needed. After when I asked for information about a drug he was giving me, he said ... oh too complicated ... and he moved on. I was really treated as a waste item in this emergency. 2- Second experience: my wife gave birth at Lasalle hospital. Her doctor sent her to the floor to do an emergency induction in the morning. He had no room available for her so they asked us to come back in the evening .. so we came back in the evening, we had a room, but he didn't have enough nurses .. the induction finally only started the next morning when it was an emergency. I found it not strong at all. After 30 hours of work, we ended up in cesarean section. While my wife was in the operating room with Dr. Goyet, I was waiting outside and when they told me to come back ... I came back from my wife's feet and saw her open belly already to have an operation. I don’t find it correct. The same thing when I got out, I got out of the side of her feet and I still saw her whole open belly. Thereafter, no doctor ever came to see my wife after the surgery to assess it. I think that at least one doctor's visit after a caesarean should be done even if the nurses are doing their assessments. Also, our baby did not have skin to skin contact when it was on our plan As for the nurses, the ones who were there before the cesarean were wonderful, especially Lucie and Maude, the ones in the operating room too. However, the postpartum nurses was quite another story, they have a lot less time for us and they shine My wife was having a lot of trouble with breastfeeding ... a nurse told her to give the formula when she needed support. I went to speak to the assistant manager who immediately set up an appointment with the breastfeeding consultant at Manon Hospital who was absolutely wonderful and who is one of the people who saved my wife's breastfeeding. (I wondered why none of the postpartum nurses have thought about referring me to it). In short, overall, there have been more bad experiences than good experiences, we don't want to go back for the next baby. (Original) Deux mauvaises experiences a lhopital lasalle, surtout a lurgence! 2- Deuxieme experience: ma femme a accouché a l’hôpital lasalle.

More than 5h and others went before us. The worst experience I've ever had in Canada. total lack of respect for professionals
Bad experience , they do not care the patients, you have to wait for 10 to 12 hours to see a Doctor.
Went in emergency a week ago and they told me they would call me for an ultra sound as I was in so much pain . I have not been able to sleep for a week now because of the intense pain i tried calling today to see what is happening with my appointment , they lady just said the secretary forgot to give the paper I asked her to take an appointements now that we’re on the line she said well I don’t have your papers so I’ll call you back . Meanwhile for a week I am in so much pain and unable to function . I really dislike this hospital and this is the last time I am going to them . Please make this your last resort choice .

This is a great hospital. I was in pain and they took care of me immediately. I was then released and diagnosed within 6 hours. Highly recommended.
Horrible place. If I can give it less than 1 star I would. Waited from 5:00 pm till 1:30 am never got seen. Finally left. 3rd world hospital in a 1st world country. How pathetic.
We had the misfortune of giving birth to our beautiful twin girls, at this Horrible Hospital. The Majority of the Staff Members (Doctors, Nurses, Support Staff etc.) have no Bedside Manners, are Completely Incompetent (they mixed up our Girl’s Files) and clearly don’t even want to be there. By the time we realized that we had Trusted the Wrong People with the Lives of my Wife and Newborn Girls, it was to late and we had no other options. Luckily, because of a Few Great Staff Members, we left healthy and with only minor complications, but it was a horrible experience directly caused by the other Staff Members and sub-par Equipment at this Institution. Thank you to the Great Minority Staff Members! You know who you are.

I just spent almost 10 hours in the Emergency or should I say Non-Emergency of the LaSalle General. I arrived at 11:35 AM with a swollen foot and everyone must have went to lunch at 12:00 and got back at 2:40 because that is when they started to call the first patients. They only called one and then called a second 25 minutes later. Both patients finished and left and then it stopped. It must have been a shift change and everyone had to have their hour and a half break. It seemed like no one was working. I waited another 2 1/2 hours before they started calling again. It was now 5:10 and they called 4 of us at once. I was the fourth one. The doctor Michel Caplette had an attitude. I explained that I had been out walking all day and that at night my ankle swelled up and he kept insisting that I must have twisted my ankle which I told him no. He keep insisting that I must have done something and I repeatedly told him no and that I thought it might be arthritis. He stopped listening to me after that he was the doctor and I was wrong. He did blood test and sent me for a foot an x-ray. I was given a paper and told to go to Radiology. Walking down the hallway I realized the hospital was empty. There was no one at any of the desk or even walking the halls. I got to Radiology and there was no one around. I called no answer. I could have robbed the place and walked away. Christ this is a hospital, nobody works after 5:00 are they kidding me? I notice a bell which said ring so I rang it a couple of times. The radiologist came down the hall and took me for the x-ray which it all took about 15 minuts, pretty fast. So at this point I figured they’d call me and then I’d be out by 6:00 just a seven hour in the non- emergency. People who had arrived after me were still waiting to be called. Some had given up and gone home. I waited another two and a half hours to be called and told that they need to send my blood to Verdun General to have a special test done and that it could take another hour to an hour and a half. We were told we could go out and eat which we did and came back at 8:35. Still the same people were waiting some even had blankets. They call us at 9:05 and we were out by 9:20. Dr. Caplette found no inflation in the blood test; therefore my swollen foot could not be inflamed, so figure that one out. He then prescribed me Voltare which is a rub used by athletes for sore and aching muscles, and Codeine for the pain. After using Voltare my foot is still swollen with no change. I will go to an external clinic if it does not get better. It is not the first time I’ve had problems. In 2013 I was misdiagnosing for a pains in my chest. I was on the verge of a heart attack so the doctor schedule me an appointment with Cardiology for the next week gave me two aspirin and told me to go home and rest. I almost died on the way home. Other parts of the hospital are excellent it just seems to be the Emergency section.
No sense of urgency for the emergency room. 7 hour wait is ridiculous seeing how you are in the ER. Other than the extremely long wait the service was pretty good.
Wait times are just horrendous, when you have to wait hours before even seeing the triage nurse there is a real problem somewhere, someone has time to die 4 times in the amount of time they make you wait!! Just horrible!
If you want to understand how medical system is in Quebec , come to this hospital. If a would be able to give a zero I would give it

It's crazy and highly unfair if one's sick and getting to the hospital has to wait for 12long hours and still no doctor in Sight to attend to me. Do you know how painful ear infection is? I've been crying and in pains since 04/01/20 17:00 and till 5:37am,05/01/2020 no doctor in sight!!! This is highly dehumanizing, unfair and uncalled for,. This is my first time in ER, and worst experience in canada????????????
Worst emergency room visit ever! Waited 18hrs to see the doctor with my 14 yr old son who had serve back pain, nurse said wait was so long because my son wasn’t a priority! Nurses were very rude when asked a question! Waiting room chairs are a joke, floors and bathroom were dirty! Doctor was nice and friendly the only good thing! This was my first visit to this hospital and it will definitely be my last! Will never step foot in there again!
Worst experience.I went to the emergency, was not able to breath And they made me wait for 6 hours and still was not checked by the doctor and I left from there. The security was like it's on you. . Never go there if you want to save your life....
Competent Physicians & Supporting Staff.
Staff was extremely kind , felt great and safe during surgery , will definitely become my #1 emergency hospital
(Translated) If I have any advice for people who live in Lasalle, it is good to never go to the emergency room of this hospital. I went there a few weeks ago with my daughter who is 2, she fell playing in the living room, she could not walk, she was in pain. I went with my husband to this hospital around 9:30 pm, we left the next day at 11am. The doctor of the night, a young woman a little thin, who should do anything and everything, except, work in health, why ?? At 7am, after waiting more than 10 hours, my husband went to the nurse and told him that it was unacceptable to let a 2-year-old suffer, she closed the door in his face. He went to see the other nurses and explained to them what had just happened, then this doctor, or rather this woman who should never be a doctor, intervened by telling my husband that she did not time to see my child, and if we are not happy we can go elsewhere, or complain. This is his words.
Literally everyone before I arrived AND AFTER I arrived in the ER was seen before me. Waited almost 13hrs for a quick test and a prescription.... Even though I was nearly passed out in the waiting room. This is the prime example of what's wrong with the Health Care system in Quebec. Never coming back here again.
This is the worst run hospital I’ve ever seen. We took my sister there after a dog bite. When we called, we were told the wait time would be 2-3 hours. We ended up waiting for 8 hours without being seen. The receptionist was stunned that anyone would blatantly lie about the wait time on the phone to us. In the entire time we were waiting there, not one patient at the emergency was seen. We later found out the hospital had only one poor sap of a doctor for the whole place. Nobody could tell us anything or knew what was going on. What a mess. I’ve lived in other countries with universal healthcare, I have never seen this level of appalling care. Avoid this hospital.
Writing this as I enter my 11th hour here waiting at the hospital . Whatever you do . Do not come to this Hospital. I don’t care if you live across the street from this dump . Do yourself a favour and drive to Ontario and get help.

I think at first that it is not serious but 2 days later my brother-in-law who is a paramedic told me that it may be shingles and that it must be treated as quickly as possible. I go to the emergency room immediately. However, I have been waiting for more than 5 hours and the triage nurse has just criticized me for waiting 2 days before going to the emergency room. She therefore classified my case as non-priority. I DID NOT KNOW THAT IT MAY BE ZONA and in particular the fact that a forehead injury can lead to optic nerve damage. What incompetent !!! Je me présente à l'urgence aussitôt.
The nurses in this hospital micro control too much. It is not always necessary to interfere that much. Although single rooms are free of charge, I would change to another hospital next time even it is needed to be paid for.

The nurses that work in the child birth department are truly amazing!
Got to the Lasalle hospital at 2:40 am because I had a really bad cough with phlegm, sore chest and throat. With every cough that was so hard, I would almost want to vomit and would lose my breath. The triage was quick but my name was called at 8:15 am ☹. When the young doctor called my name to see me, I simply asked her "why did it take so long when we were only 2 patients in the ER waiting room". She answer that she also had paperwork to do and take care of patients in the ER. She examined me and sent me off for an XRay which was quick. My name was called again to give me my results and I walked out 9:15 am. So it took 6.5 hours to see a doctor in the ER that had only 2 patients sitting there. Our system is really broken. Mr. Barrette it is high time to fix our system. NOT, everyone can afford to go private! ☹☹☹

Zero stars. This place is ridiculous. Wait time is nothing less than 6 hours. Everytime I come here there’s only one doctor seeing the patients.
Super long wait, for an exam had to wait 14h..
My baby born here❤????
Disgusting hospital ever. Emergency means you have to check your patient immediately. But we spent there 6-7 hours in waiting room. So unorganized. Never never never going back in any case
Thank you to the enrire team at the Emergency department and the recovery center of Lasalle General. I was admitted for appendicitis which was inflammed and had to be operated on ASAP. I stayed at the hospital for 7 days. The nurses, doctors and surgeon took very good care of me and were very kind and attentive to my needs. Everyone at that hospital works very hard to help all the patients. I didn't have a phone charger and Abdel the orderly searched to find me one. The cleaning people helped me find the gift shop. All 3 shifts were excellent and I even shared a few laughs. They say hospital food is bad but not there! The food was very good. I am extremely grateful to everyone that took care of me.

I travel a lot and I must say that LaSalle hospital is very poorly organized. Waited 4 hours in triage with only 4 people going in before me , then I was met with a very rude unsympathetic lady nurse who just seemed interested in telling me how much my visit was going to cost me ( up to 4000$ ) just for very high blood pressure . I went home untreated. I hope the woman involved never gets sick in another country and is made to feel the way I did … she is definitely in the wrong profession.
The day I went into labor was a great day not only cuz I was expecting my first born child but the staff that day was awesome it was 5 months ago 29th of April 2016 that day the staff and doctor was great but once I gave birth the experience was kinda bad I wasn't seen much from the nurse Idk if it cuz I had a natural birth and it went all awesome or if it cuz I was a English speaking person but like I said the 29th of April it was a awesome day
"Urgences" ... "Urgences"... Really??? I waited in line more than 8 hours ( and I'm lucky than my friends who waited more than 12h or 25h , it's not a joke) and when finally I get a doctor, what a surprise she was a racist (I'm not so good in French , as I'm new arrived) she spoke only French. Very disappointed!
14 hours in the emergency waiting room and counting. ???? Go anywhere else but here. Oh yea how could I forget.... if you're lucky enough you might get to witness a patient trying to escape. To top it off, the nurse / doctor was asking for security but no one was around to help. Patients in the waiting room had to go get help.... RIDICULOUS !!!!
NO DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE IN THE EMERGENCY OR ENTIRE HOSPITAL. This is against basic humans rights. VENDING MACHINES TURNED OFF AND TURNED.
(Translated) A 15 hour wait with my Spouse who is Pregnant with High Pressure .. Unacceptable regarding the `` Priority '' of Triage (Original) Une attente de 15 Heures avec ma Conjointe qui est Enceinte avec une Haute Pression.. Innacceptable concernant la `Priorité` du Triage
I don't understand all of the bad reviews and the complaints about not speaking in English. I had an ECG, spent time in triage, then moved to ICU, everyone, and I do mean everyone spoke to me in English. I was treated with nothing but kindness and respect all the way. The hospital was very clean, and all of the staff, doctors, nurses and whom ever I met were amazing. I hope that I don't ever have to go back, but if the occasion arises, will surely go there. I have absolutely no complaint from the second that I walked until the time I walked out.
If I could give zero stars I would. The wait is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! Nurses are on their phones and there is 1 doctor for 12 people who are in need of attention.
only giving one star because there is no lower option. Long wait times while in pain. they go hours without calling anyone in the emergency.
I was treated better in a Cuban Hospital when I needed medical care while traveling. If you can medically go else where!! Staff was rude and their triage practices are substandard!! I went in with a serious issue that needed immediate attention there was only one triage nurse that was occupied looking at someone's ankle... When I told them my condition was urgent they asked me to wait in line!!! Useless !!!!
(Translated) Sorry for the urgency .... but for a surgery more the follow .... for me very good service .... excellent (Original) Désoler pour l'urgence....mais pour une chirurgie plus le suivie....pour moi très bon service....excellent
Excellent emergency care. Caring staff members all over the hospital.
Good hospital with good nurses and staff members. Parking is affordable and overall has many good specialized doctors and up to date equipment.
(Translated) Me and my husband have each had an operation in this hospital and we have absolutely nothing to say the staff and doctor very knowledgeable and kind we take the time to explain well the only thing is that I was for an appointment Follow-up and I had to wait in the emergency room and to my astonishment it was pretty bad compared to all the other places I visited in the hospital.
I had shouldèr sùrgery and when I woke the nurses and 0 patients for me and wère on a power trips.1 nurse wanted me to walk to the bathroom with my robe open while the outher nurse and her BOYFRIEND were flirting with each outher in front of the bathroom.i asked her to dress me first she said I will do things her way and she walked away.POWER TRIP

Head Nurse tells me i can't see my dying Grandmother. I understand she needs to relax but she is dying. She'll have the rest of eternity to relax! she didn't want to be alone in her dying moments. The nurse tells me. Moreover, she doesn't speak english at all and some of my family has a hard time in French. That isn't right! Let alone you talk in english and she responds in french damn right rude and completely unacceptable. If I remember correctly my taxes are paying for this service or a lack there of! I believe public servants, especially in hospitals, should only be employed if they mastered both official languages of Canada. My grandmother isn't perfect in French and doesn't understand everything, does she deserve this extra stress of trying to understand!!!!!!!? But my holding her hand is not letting her rest...... Cough... BS.
(Translated) very bad pregnancy experience. p when everything is going well it's a good hospital to give birth, but on our side there was a complication at 21 weeks and after a horrible hospitalization and very inappropriate care, I got out of there and I presented at the children hospital. The doctor who examined me had my file transferred after hearing the history of my hospitalization there (rolling my eyes so it didn't look good). We managed to save my baby who was born premature a few weeks later, but who is doing very well today. If I had stayed there, I would have lost it, I'm sure.
Have been at ER today with my wife... Arrived at 15:30. In the waiting room only 6-7 people. After 18:00 till 19:30 they did not call a single person to go in the examination room. Even when they call you in, you'll be waiting inside the examination room between 20-50 minutes till a doctor will see you.
Had a great experience at this hospital! The nursing staff and doctors were friendly, informative, and efficient. Felt truly cared for.
(Translated) Zero service + rude staff. I highly recommend Sainte-Mary's Hospital. Arrived at 13:00 by ambulance for hypoglycemia while pregnant, at 17:00 I have not yet seen by a doctor, I ask the receptionist if we would call my name shortly and that I am pregnant, I had eaten nothing and I could not stand the wait, she answers me impolently that if I do not hear my name it is necessary to wait. I go looking for food in the cafeteria, I can not find anything. I started to feel very weak, I was so hungry that I left the hospital without seeing a doctor after 5 hours of waiting.
Worst worst worst hospital ever
Brought my grandmother to the emergency at LaSalle Hospital, I would like to thank Dr Vinh for taking such good care of her. Dr Vinh took the time to check her and run the necessary test in order to find out what was really wrong with her. She is much better. Thank you Dr Vinh. Much appreciated.

Had server pain being pregnant I was admitted right away and given a bed. Everyone was very nice and calm with me. Very happy with the staff. Saw cleaning staff cleaning water fountains and the nurse who pushed me to the ultrasound sang Peter pan sing to me :) I'm happy and relieved to deliver at the LaSalle hospital. Thank you for making me feel as calm and relaxed as possible.

(Translated) This hospital is a joke. Spending 3 hours in the waiting room of the emergency without having a single individual called is to wonder what the docs fuck inside. Unless bullet-ridden individuals arrive without my knowledge, the emergency department is completely lethargic.
Had an appointment for 9:50. Showed up at 9:40 and ended up being called at noon. And still was forced to wait for doctor for 40 minutes inside exam room. They incredibly lack discipline! Why would they ask me to show up at 9.50 just to end up serving me at 12 40 is just incomprehensible for me!
(Translated) Anything emergencies with 03 or 04 patients almost empty but the wait is endless I think a doctor for the whole hospital !!!! What a rotten system mr barrette !!!!
(Translated) I give 2 stars. This hospital has a good reputation for its birth service. He should stick to giving birth to women and providing the services of a super-clinic. That's it. The urgency? About a year ago, I went around 15 hours for a persistent earache, sinusitis that does not heal. The nurse at the yard (a French ...) told me that I have dirty ears (!) And made me understand that I should go home or go elsewhere. Since there are only 6 or 7 patients waiting, I decide to stay. Shortly before midnight, we are only 4 people. No new patients. I ask the nurse at the yard where they are. Explanations and discussion implausible. I will tell him that it is very worrying that this hospital is overwhelmed by a single emergency (that's what it says but nobody has seen this urgency happen) that mobilizes all the staff (who does not seem to be present. ..) and for which no action has been taken to transfer the patient ... It is worrying that a hospital can not manage a single emergency when the occupancy rate (according to santemontreal.qc.ca) is normal, if not low. In short, at the end of the track, the nurse says that the doctor is entitled to a rest since he worked his 40 hours this week! WOW. It seemed so unreal that I would stay in the emergency room with these 3 other patients who are "patient" thinking about what is going on in this hospital, and many others that will never be said. Doctors not present, insufficient resources, consenting administration? Not too powerful this emergency! We want to support the demands of the health system, but this hospital has an effort to make. Why offer an emergency service that is difficult to provide, partly because of its own fault? Why offer long-term care that does not appear to have added value compared to other institutions whose primary mission is? I ended up in a walk-in clinic thinking to get my ears out ... which were not at all. Today, I have hearing problems. I think of all those who have much more serious problems and the system is repressed. That's it. L'urgence?
Professional, very careful and carrying staff, they were extremely well organized and synchronized. We had the best delivery experience. They were not pushy, they listen to you and they care. Hard working staff with alots of experience. Thank you

Without their support, the memory of this moment would not be as magical. I thank them with all my heart. Je les remercie de tout coeur.
A complete nightmare!!! Came in with my very sick 5 year old twins as I couldn't get an appointment anywhere else and left after 5 hours of waiting as they became too tired, too hungry, my daughter's temperature went up well above +40°C and nobody gave damn about it! My foot will never step in to that hospital!

Staff is rude and unprofessional. My grandfather went in a few years back and was diagnosed with renal failure. After 3 days on waiting for a transfer to the Montreal General (as they needed a free ambulance to transport), when it was finally transferred and was diagnosed for being dehydrated and not in renal failure. More recently I called out a nurse for being rude and was given a dirty stare and was lectured on how she was not rude as she smiled while being rude. So in my personal opinion only go to this hospital if it is your absolute last resort.
(Translated) Horrible as an experience. From the opening of the file until the meeting with the doctor. The staff show no empathy, stupidity and nonchalance. Long live our health system in Quebec !!! Came to emergency as my mother has a swollen leg, triage nurse refused to speak English, said possibly a blood clot or infection. Came at 3pm still waiting at 1050pm to even see a doctor. Priorities are very mixed up at this hospital. Spoke to another person in the waiting room as their relative has diabetes and her numbers were in the 30s...they also had to wait. Another person freaked out because her relative was clearly pregnant and bleeding...she had to wait like how is this even allowed. Do not recommend this hospital !!!!
Best hospital in Montreal for child birth. Even for my blood work wait time is much less than other places in West Island. Nurses, doctors and the entire staff is super nice and friendly. I would go here for all of my deliveries.
(Translated) Bad bad hospital. I came in with severe abdominal pain and went out with a very big blood clot because someone did a bad job. Not only that, but no one thought that he had anything normal with my arm so I returned a week later with the clot that had grown who could have reached my lungs and bites to make me in the belly for a month. Excessively expensive stings by the way. I had no compassion from them and no excuse for their medical error. Oh yeah too when I came back to see if my arm was better my record was lost so I waited 5 hours for nothing I saw no doctor that day, I was promised that next time I could see a doctor within a reasonable time but the doctor I was seeing was missing and no one thought to tell me. Another 5 hours of waiting for nothing, still left without seeing a doctor. For your well being psychologist and physics I advise you any other hospital!

I brought my wife here, screaming from the pain in the right side of the abdomen. No one looked at her for two hours and they prevented me from entering because I did not corona vaccinated.. It's okay. I don't want to enter but let the doctor examine my wife whos screaming and crying in pain.. She stayed like that without any attention from anyone or any proper medical care and it was possible death. she stayed like that for two days until they discovered that there was a huge watery cyst on the ovary. She could have died while the nurses were completely did not care to her screaming and crying. It was the worst two days of my life. I don't know if I can sue them. after the cyst was discovered, they decided to perform surgery to remove it, and after the surgery decision, she waited 4 hours, screaming and crying, but without any humanity or mercy from the medical staff as a whole. it is third or fourth world. I really want to sue them.
The doctors, nurses and technicians that do the work mean well enough. I think they try very hard under difficult circumstances. The hospital itself isn't as clean as it should be. The cleaning staff are low paid and unmotivated. Administration heavy for sure. Unless you are about to die, I would choose a super clinic over emergency any day of the week. Be prepared to wait and probably you should bring something to eat and drink with you. 10 months on, they've managed to get worse. Sat for 5 hours with difficulty breathing and leg pain while the emergency area emptied out. Not busy at all. Plenty of time to go out and get Iced Caps for the nurses. Waiting for a chest xray while the radiology staff chatted about current affairs for 15 minutes. I ended up leaving after initial triage and waiting 4.5 hours for a better hospital. They also removed the vending machines so if you have to go here, bring provisions and any pain medication you might be taking. You're much better off anywhere else but here.
"The worst hospital" - said the patients who waited in the Emergency for 12 hours and without getting to the doctor left at 3 am. From 12 am to 3 am, only 2 people was called. Only 1 doctor works at night. Now, due to the inability to see a doctor, everyone goes to Emergency, but the number of doctors in the Emergency remains the same. I would like also to say that a few years ago, the hospital made expensive repairs. But now is the same: dirty, I saw mice near the entrance. the seats are very uncomfortable, it is impossible to sit on such chairs for 12 hours.

Excellent hospital. Doctors, nurses everyone are very diligent and helpful.
Worst hospital ever for a blood test. People working here are very slow and there are not enough people. If you need a blood test, go to the Jewish general hospital instead. They are faster and more efficient.
