My husband was admitted for surgery , most of the nurses were great. One however , although I was given authority to stay with my husband over night told me I had to leave I was respectful and told her I had ordered food to eat with my husband who hadn't eaten all day then I would go. She then had a security guard come threaten me as we ate our meal together, to call police! I'm not sure she would have treated me that way if I were French born. Although I can speak French. I found it disgraceful. If your looking for a hospital that respects the spouse of its patients go elsewhere.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Have been waiting over 7 hours, overnight, to see a medical professional and am the last one in the lobby. The "doctor is with the patient" is doubtful now. And, "all the hospitals are busy like this around here" is disturbing. They've charged me $1,000.00 for the "privilege" of waiting up all night, too. It's triggered a migraine on top of the initial reason I am desperately seeking medical care. The visit has driven me to tears.

While a hospital visit is not exactly an enjoyable time, the BMP has been "my hospital " ever since I can remember. My family doctor is also affiliated there. I've had a few procedures and tests including a hip replacement a couple of years ago, which was totally trouble free. The staff everywhere are skilled and always have a smile.

i cant say for the hospital now but when i was 17 my appendix was about to burst and i went to this hospital where i was born and i went to triage the guy said oh this isnt right a doctor came not even 5 min later and said you need a operation asap in about a hour i was shaved prepped and going under the operation went well i was told if i had not gone that day i would have died most likely the nurses were very nice with me and i was a real jerk so thank you PS. i would like to say also that waiting 10-12 hours in a emergency room in Trois-Rivières and louiseville is very common its not always the hospitals fault its the system that is garbage, underfunding over working staff every government has failed us from feds to the province our health system is flawed

I'm currently at this hospital waiting for stitches. I've waited 9 hours 53 mins just to get admitted, then someone saw me for at most 2 minutes and has left me in a hospital bed in a room for 1 hour and 15 minutes so far. It is unacceptable to make a 6-year-old kid wait for more than 10 hours to get an x-ray. My daughter had a ski accident, and we had to wait for at least 10 hours to be seen by a doctor. It is inhumane to make a child wait that long with intense pain and a fractured leg. The nurse that does the registration was extremely incompetent, denying my daughter to go through fast because her leg wasn't bruised, yet you couldn't even touch it, walk, and was in great pain. She could quickly get her to get an x-ray ASAP and see how bad the leg was, confirm if it was fractured (which it was and badly), and from there, take the correct measures. Even other people in the ER waiting room told the nurse to let the child through, and she never complied. P.s. The emergency room wasn't also that full. About a dozen patients were waiting.

I was hospitalised for 2 weeks due to pneumothorax drain. The surgeon went on his vacation right after my surgery. I was handover to another doctor who vented her frustration on me from the other doctor who flew and went away. Doctors aren't always there to do their rounds like they suppose to do. When u need a doctor in the night, nurses will tell you that there are no doctors in the night and if u have a need of them they will page them and wait only for their reply. Physically they won't come see u. The surgery didn't worked well after 2 long weeks and they transferred me at CHUS where they found out that the drain was defective. It was a good thing to be transferred there. Personnels are very competent and professional and know exactly what they're doing compared to BMP staffs. It wasn't the first time I received treatment from BMP, in 2012 I had an abdominal cyst removal and the nurses and the surgeon did their job very well. In 2016 I delivered my son and I was so happy with the doctors and nurses on the Neonatal Dept. they are so dear and sweet. But unfortunately recently, I had a bad luck of not getting the same treatment they were used to be. Maybe the Surgery Dept. are now toppled with inexperienced personnels, unlike before. This hospital management need to thorough screen their staffs for competency.

I was taken to this hospital by ambulance after a serious accident at home (hats off to the great paramedics who help). I was there for waiting for a nurse to help me, I couldn't move because i was in a near paralysis state from my incident. I had to go to the bathroom (#1) and I told a nurse. They replied saying they'll get something for me to go in and they'll be back in a few minute. 3 hours passed and they never returned. I kept telling nurses of my need to go and they said I'll have go wait... i was rather lucky with being there for about 7-8 hours however for over 6 of them is how long I had to go to the bathroom. In the end I was told there were no breaks muscles were just pulled *but if things got worse to return for more examining*. In my leg, arm and neck. The pain had gotten much worse and had to return the next night . This is were issues got MUCH WORSE! The nurses were extremely rude and never checked any of the problems with my pain. *I was in waiting room for 8 hours and was told the exact some thing with literally no more examining*... and was sent home, still in extreme pain.

Not only are the doctors and nurses friendly and efficient, the triage nurse I saw was very friendly, attentive and took all the information I had to give. At other ERs I usually am rushed and interrupted when explaining my symptoms. I travel one hour to go this hospital when it is an emergency.

THE EMERGENCY ROOM DESERVES ZERO STARS. I am appalled at how they treat people. The emergency department is a perfect example of our failed health care system. So unproffessional and unorganized and over crowded. However, the radiology department was quick and efficient. The ultra sound thechnition came from granby for us.

Je me suis tanné et je suis parti. Je ne recommande cet hôpital a personne.

Don't go here if you only speak English. The nurses ignore patients but you can hear them giggling and goofing off. They had many cubicles where I could have spent the night, they placed me under a light by the nurses station. When I asked to be placed somewhere where it wasn't as bright, I was told to pull my mask up to cover them. I am black and blue from the nurses ineptitude for drawing blood, refused to use the iv that had been put in just for that purpose. The next day I waited 5 hours for the doc to come back with a referral name. When the nurse was instructed to remove the two iv needles, she made sure to bend them for maximum damage and walked away while my arm was dripping blood all over the bed sheet. I asked what she was doing and she gave me an evil look and continued to leave. An orderly saw the event, and came to my aid with gauze and tape. The orderly was the only person to ever check on me. In the bed bay next to me was a very elderly gentleman, all his monitors started beeping and no one came to his aid. The same orderly went and knocked on the nurse station to ask if she was going to attend him. My husband was not allowed in with me but every other patient had a friend or family member with them. I was never diagnosed. These nurses get paid a ton of money and they were NOT dealing with covid patients, they were just rude and lazy, and extremely hostile because I was unable to understand their language. A terrible face to this community.

But i must say, aside the elderly secretary who was not very welcoming , the rest of the staff, which are The Tirage Nurse, the Resident Doctor, The Ultrasound Technician & the Nurse who assisted were all very professional, but patient, kind & very helpful.
