(Translated) Obviously the service has changed since I gave birth to my two children. But I found a very accommodating solution. Emergencies with appointments including that of 3030 Bl. The crossroads. You call the same day for RV You present 15 minutes before and 15-20 minutes after you got out. There are several of them . Check in your area and it reduces congestion in hospital emergency rooms.

They had my son (7 y/o) waiting for more than 4 hrs for an X-ray in the emergency building. There’s no excuse for this. Worse system in the country.

(Translated) horrible experiences that occurred during my delivery, epidural was given very late, waited for 12 hours to get it. the pains so exhausted me, I had no energy to push. the gynecologist used forceps that caused scars on my daughter's face. and my bladder has been completely damaged because of the forceps, to undergo a chirirgue to repair the bladder. if you are a future mother, I advise you not to give birth to this hospital. (Translated) All the staff I dealt with were admirable. One downside: a stretcher took me to the wrong service where I waited for nothing. Otherwise, nothing wrong: I was well treated both physically and humanly.

They have the same triage for covid 19 patients and regular patients going to the emergency room. Basically if you walk in with a broken arm you will be waiting close to the potential covid 19 patients. Doesnt make any sense how they didnt adapt better during these times.

(Translated) Arrival around 18:30, urgent clinical reference, priority 3U. 1 doctor during the night ... see a doctor the next morning at 9:30, after spending the night to bathe in all kinds of microbes, seen and heard people suffer and / or vomit .... have announced to me this moment that I have to be fasting and bladder full .. Hmmm yes I ate I did not come for my stomach etc ... 4 hours more to wait ... I ask if I can drink water have answered me no. with what should I fill my bladder then? Anyway ... I'm going to the radiology ask if they have at least the request to not lose more hours .. she tells me that I have to drink 2 glasses of water! wow ... the staff on the whole are nice but the lack of communication and organization make the wait is not normal nor human in general. Morale: Check elsewhere before ???? (Translated) If I could give any star I would. I had a lot of bad experiences, mostly in the ER. As an introduction before talking about my experiences, I unfortunately allow myself to notice that most administration employees are cold, lack empathy and respect towards customers. We have the impression that we are dealing with robots programmed to do certain well-defined tasks, to smile at specific times, etc. As soon as they are taken out of their comfort zones, they become upset and even aggressive. You could almost think that the only people who really work are some doctors and nurses, otherwise they are there just to line their pockets and build a nice retirement. Around 9 p.m., my 2 year old daughter had a respiratory arrest, she was unconscious most of the way from the house to the hospital, once arrived, at the assessment they saw that she had regained consciousness and that, according to them , the vital signs had returned to normal, I was informed that she will be examined by a doctor but that the waiting period will be at least 6 hours. And we call it 'emergencies'. Another time I had 2 children who had fever for 2 days, after waiting about 8 hours, I was informed that it is only a virus, it should go away after a few days adding that if it persists I could bring them another time to the emergency room (so of course another wait of 8 hours or more). The next day I took them to a clinic, the doctor found an ear infection for one and sore throat for the other. Once again my wife had excruciating pain in her gallbladder, I called an ambulance, the paramedic took all his time filling out the health card information before driving off. Once at the city of health, the doctor gave him gravol for the nausea (at least that is what he claims) a minute later my wife had spasms all over her body, I tried to call the doctor but who to go to, as I mentioned above, it's a bit of I-don't care either these answers like, or we don't know or don't worry It won't be long, or don't get upset, how do you expect me to stay calm and zen when I feel like I'm losing my wife or one of my children and the others don't care for a single moment, they spend their time time to recount their lives and laugh in front of you while you die inside. The emergency room wait time, in my opinion, should not exceed one hour for cases that are not serious and 15 min max for intermediate cases. A sick person, especially an old man or a child, cannot wait for hours in a chair condemned not to sleep without counting the stress caused by long hours of uncertainty. But with all the criticisms and complaints it doesn’t seem to move the administrations.

Swift and efficient blood works - the reservation process makes this a breeze and saves me a ton of time.

Elaine Sadori

I have no problem with the hospital. We have always had excellent service. The problem lies in the emergency. The wait to be called, then the number of days lying in the hall or in emergency waiting to be seen. It IS NOT THE FAULT of any of the wonderful staff. It is clearly the fault of our wonderful government. 12 - 24 hours waiting to be seen in emergency is unacceptable. However when the budget allows only ONE doctor on staff in emergency, there is only so much that they can do. Once in, the care has always always been wonderful

The nurses are very rude. Please don't go here if you wish to be treated with respect.

Excellent care. Was staying in the area for several months after condominium was destroyed and restorations were taking place. Had never visited this hospital before, was extremely happy with the excellent care I received both in the ER and the follow-up appointments provided. Very grateful for every moment spent there!

I was at the emergency department today for about 12 hours , didn't mind it at all because I was so lucky to be a patient of Dr Jennifer BERGERON,she was very gentle took her time to listen at my health issues and she did all the necessary tests that was needed.I left with a big relief,I wish they were more doctors out there like her!!!

Jon Smith

Worst hospital on the island of Laval and Montreal. The nurses are EXTREMELY rude. They will not speak to you in English. Make sure you don't have any questions regarding your person's health because they will be annoyed answering you, as if you're burdening them with your inquiries. They're extremely unorganized, mix up important pain medications prescribed prior that was helping the patient. Wont listen to the reasoning and explanation when explained what the patient was previously taking. They stop medication that was in turn helping the patient. Lets not forget that you can 10 different doctors in the course of one week and if you stay longer you will not even remember which doctor came to see you, so hence why the confusion in medications. Overall I would suggest try a different hospital if possible! Somehow the doctors are always on vacation from one week to the next, so you can not follow-up with the same doctor. The care for palliative care is really disappointing!

Was brought by ambulance there yesterday ,medical staff were polite and the service was moderately fast.My only complain during these covid times is the cleaning staff in the emergency waiting area cleaned all the seats (about 50)and plexiglass with the same wet rag essentially spreading germs and viruses all over the place that was degusting..

(Translated) Pretty incompetent and the staff who feel crazy about you. I had a breathing problem and my chest hurt with each breath. I feel extremely contracted at the chest. I don't know how their triage works, but I was made to wait from 10pm until 10am the day after. I ask them if anyone could see me because I am really hurting but they are told that I am not emergency. I left because I feel a little better. The nurse had the face "I knew you had nothing, the big drama". The next day, I vomited blood and admitted to the Jewish hospital in Montreal. I had TB. Thank you cited for health, I was a hair away from death.

Hated my experience here. People were rude and no one would help. The ER was completely empty when I arrived at 4 am and yet I still ended up waiting 5 hours before a doctor saw me. Then it took another 3 hours before I was finished. No one would answer my questions or help me out, only ONE EMPLOYEE SPOKE ENGLISH! Never coming here again I’d rather drive the extra time to go to another hospital in case of an emergency

Darin Higgon

11 hour wait. Not someplace to go if you actually need to see a doctor. Waiting area was dirty and not cleaned, other that picking up some trash (we had time to watch!). No staff at night!?! Would have been faster to drive to Ontario, see a doctor, then drive back!!! They essentially held everyone overnight until some staff started the morning shift. They should have told everyone to just go home and come back later. Not the way to serve people with caring...

Etienne D

The endoscopy staff was wonderful and made me feel safe. I didn't wait long before my colonoscopy which went very well. Glad I chose to go there.

arseneault marilou

Security is absolutely rude and take his role way too seriously. I mean i have been working all day i show up here at 9pm and now i am getting pretty exausted and yes of course if the waiting room is half empty i might lay down a little while and try to get some rest. I don't get why you would have to force me to sit only because i am taking more then one seat. Oh and HELLOO it's 1am i have been working all day and also my other shift starts in 6 hours. So a little understanding maybe? And the new emergency room set up is kind of guetto, it's new and it looks like a really old clinic And the system, meh at top.

Julia Guan

Waited for almost 4 hours now to have Xray and recovery check with a doctor when I been told that your Xray appointment is 9:30am and Doctor appointment is 10am? I have been in hospital since 920am, now it is noon, I still have not see a doctor...then what is the point to make an appointment with ppl? And after all, it is just for a small bone fracture recovery check ...ridiculous ! Not big issue for myself , but really feeling sad to see all the seniors waiting in the hall and have to suffer from this horrible horrible Waiting time while they look already suffering from the pain...

Amazing service after breaking my collarbone and got appointment next morning on a Saturday. Immediately got to see doctor and now feel very well taken care of during the coming 8 weeks treatment and follow up visits. Staff working hard, being professional and friendly made my first visit here very pleasant. Highly recommended however you may want to visit a walk in clinic or your family doctor prior so that you don’t go to the emergency unit unless it is a true emergency.

Felixia Charles

My 75 year old father went there yesterday with papers from his a clinic to the emergency with water in his lungs and he sat there for 4 hours before he got up and left without seeing a doctor. He is back there today with a special letter from the doctor and they ignored the doctors letter and is still sitting there after 2 and a half hours. This hospital need sto be reported to the association for potentially killing people.

Kayla Gib

This is by far the worst run of all the hospitals, I was in emergency for a total of 9hr The info in emergency told me I had time to go get food so I did, when I retunrned I waited my name was not call according to the info, I asked three more times after this with the same response. The last time I was told to go to their revaluation and tell them I was here They proceed to say they had called my name several times( a total lie) as I had not even been seen by a doctor yet why then did I need to be reevaluated without so much as a real consultation. WORST EMERGENCY ROOM EVER!!!!!! A person could die & sit in their emergency room without a consult. Never did get to see the doctor, they told me I would have to restart in the cue & the delay was now 11 hr (btw it is now 11:21 pm)

Worst hospital in existence, all the terrible reviews you see about this place are spot on, if god forbid you’re ever in any emergency, this hospital shouldn’t even be an option, just drive extra and go to another hospital, the people here won’t even provide service for a patient that is in severe pain or near death without making them wait 8-12 hours, as a patient that’s been here a couple of times, don’t bother and coming here, the staff are rude and disrespectful and don’t take their jobs seriously, as a recurring heart patient, I would rather stay at home and sleep during an episode over coming here.

Ruth Ann Marco

Been to this hospital for appointments, surgeries and ER visit. ER wait is insanely long. You need to be dying to come to the ER. As for other departments, the doctors care and really do take care of you. Radiology department is a bit questionable. But some of the nurses and staff in this hospital are amazing people and go above and beyond their duties and there are some that don’t. I was one of the lucky ones and majority of my overall experience here is positive.

(Translated) Esti hospital drain, I can not believe that there is only ONE bloody doctor on duty for the entire emergency while we still talk about Laval and not a village of 2000 inhabitants! To make wait 4H my mother JUST for the sorting which should have taken maximum 20 minutes, then then that of 2:15 pm to 4:15 AM that it still did not pass nor had any news of anything, it is unacceptable in 2017. There she is taken to pay $ 25 taxi for losing her whole day and getting out of it even more sick and tired than leaving ... thank you the Quebec health system! Even me ~ 2 years ago I was overturned by bike by a car, my arm was not moving at all, I had blood all over the waiting room and it took him over 6 hours to get half an x-ray for 10 minutes, the fools did not even bother to ultrasound or check my neck and they give me advils and then get me back to the house, seriously ?!

(Translated) My son fell from a module and hurt his ankle. For 4 days we put on ice and did massages. The nurse at the triage after her assessment puts an ice pack on her and offers to go home and go to a clinic to do the radio because she finds it not an emergency. According to it's words: he is not in danger of death. I replied that hours did not know that the emergency is reserved only for people in danger of death and that strangely, none of the people in the waiting room seems to be in danger of death. Yet she says well that she does not know what is wrong and that only the radio can tell us what is wrong with the ankle. She said to me: go home, and do the radio in one more clinic since it is not possible to walk, it is possible to rent crutches at the pharmacy she tells me ... m I told him that I refused his proposal because my son has not been able to walk for days and that I do not understand why I will still have to go to a clinic to do an X-ray when it can be done in the hospital and that I'm already there and find it uncrowded. She tells me that it is my problem that I will wait the necessary time and yet I can tell you that there were very few people in the emergency room, which actually surprised me. 10 years that I am owner in Laval and that I pay taxes and levies and it is my first time in the emergency room of the hospital. She spoke aloud to us all the time, probably because my son is African. In Quebec, racism is not systemic said the other pfff. Update of this notice. It's 3:30 p.m. and we still haven't passed. We arrived at 9:30 am. I specify that I have my other child with me who is 6 years old and that all the people who came after me have already been able to leave and not they were not in danger of death. Another nurse let me know that our file was last and implied that I should have accepted the offer to go to the clinic. The nurse at the reassessment is fairer and above all she is ampatic and gives us the ticket to pass the radio. Dear nurse of this Saturday, May 22 before 10 a.m. (room 3), about you my 6 year old son said: I hope she never takes care of children who are in pain, she is mean Update: 4:30 p.m. excellent doctor I don't have the name he's a podiatrist I think. And for my son it's a fracture that requires a plaster ... Been to NICU for my twins. The place is so dirty and filthy. Most of the staff seem incompetent and lazy. They don't want to take time to feed by bottle. They'd rather put feeding tubes so they can chat amongst each other and eat their food right in front of kids. They rarely wash hands before tending to a child. Alarms are often ignored. Door handles, equipment and machinery are never disinfected. Mop hasn't been passed in over three days. There are dustballs on the floor, the vents have visible accumulation of dirt on them. They also decided it was a great idea to place both kids in the same incubator, wrap them up with two sheets and let them hit an internal temperature of 38.9! Why? Because they were busy talking and not paying attention. We even mentioned to them I think they are hot. But they said no. Big joke of a department. The rest of the hospital looks very outdated. Please take your kids to the children's.

Emergency wait time is extremely Long over 9 hours before seeing a doctor. 20 hours still don't have my diagnosis. Still in the ER. Only one hospital in all of Laval, Laval is a big city... Why isn't the government of Laval looking into this problem... Totally shameful! Doctor's and staff are over worked. But we the people should not have to suffer because of this. We must demand another hospital in Laval or nothing will change. 21 hour's in ER still no diagnosis. Sad and pathetic.

In summary, a lot of waiting, I know you'll tell me, it's not better in other hospitals, I know, but what happens when it's SUPER URGENT, we go where my Faith ..... there is no other place to go, we're done with a health system like that, no pace! ! ! ! !

Absolute nightmare and horror of an experience with my 78 year old mother (the patient). Admitted to Médecin de Jour around 2:00 PM for a blood transfusion (from a same day surgery at a local private clinic). Transferred to Emergency at 7PM because Médecin de Jour closes at 7PM and the blood has not yet arrived. We were discharged from Emergency at 3:45AM after the transfusion. The first nurse in charge of my mothers care did not speak a word of English. Not a word and was incredibly rude to me when I asked when her transfusion would start. “Quand je suis prêt” in a very rude tone! The nurses refused to help my mother change positions and feel more comfortable so she lay on her wounds and incisions for 13 hours...in excruciating pain because her pain was not being managed well-they could not make sense of the private clinic’s instruction (1-2 tablets). They read that as “one” tablet. By the end of the night (or horror should I say) it was clear they just perceived us as this English family who expect private care service in a public healthcare clinic. Actually no! but we expected you to be sensitive to the fact that my mother had just had a major operation! They made it clear that we were in the emergency department and that my mother was admitted as a non emergency case. I’m sorry, but she had just had a major operation an hour before arriving at the à médecin de Jour. One nurse wiped her hands in front of me as she said “it’s not my problem” that she is uncomfortable. Many of the nurses were clearly separatists and didn’t like that we were English. I live in London UK and even our PUBLIC healthcare system (the largest in the world) surpasses the Quebec system 1000 times! My father and I hadn’t eaten in 12 hours. We weren’t even offered a glass of water or small snack and when I mentioned this (that we hadn’t eaten in hours) to the nurse who didn’t speak a word of English she said that she hadn’t had her supper yet (in a tone that begged sympathy).. She told me this at 4:30PM. I asked what time she finishes? “midnight”. I later found out that she started at 4:00PM!!! I’m thinking “are you kidding me”? In the UK a nurse would not say to a patient “I haven’t had my supper yet” (in the tone and manner this one did) complaining 30 mins into her shift!!! ???????? So much more to say but suffice to say I would never want any one of my family members to be treated here again and if you are Anglophone, prepare to be discriminated against and made to feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome!

A big thank you to the excellent and professional staff in the emergency I would like to personally thank them, one by one, who took good care of me during my stay in the hospital, before, during and after the surgery. (Translated) We can say what we want about a hospital, especially in a pandemic, but I only have good words for the emergency nursing team and the neurology team. Yes, maybe the staff was "in a hurry", but you have to understand that hospitals have a high capacity and that they can't be there for everyone at the same time. You were human with my mother and exemplary kindness. You took the time to listen and let us ask questions about his situation. Thanks again! (Translated) The most extraordinary thing about this hospital is that they have created a yard for sorting ... Soon they will do a sorting for sorting the yard ... That's all-out. To go to the yard they call 10 numbers and you put yourself online and someone tell you that you will be sorted according to your symptoms to switch to triage. What is the purpose of triage 1 then? But the worst part of all is that it's all right in the middle of the emergency when you're not good and you talk about your symptoms in front of everyone OR IS THE INTIMACY. I'm sitting here and I can say what everyone is not normal and in my opinion it should be PRIVATE. Who had this brilliant idea of con? Where are the managers ...

(Translated) In the emergency room, after waiting 5 hours, a simple bandage was put on the wounds (cut on 2 fingers with a saw) and a tetanus vaccine ... but no one saw that this same vaccine had been lavished the previous year. However, the next day, at the CLSC, they were able to freeze their fingers in order to disinfect well and put points of connection. What was the point of going to the emergency room?!? What a disappointment, once again !! À quoi a servi d'aller attendre à l'urgence ?!? This hospital is not functional in the section 'Urgence'. Went there with my brother. They said that there were no nurses at the moment. Waited from 2h30am till 6h30am, luckly he started feeling better, so we went home. They never called him for re-evaluation during our waiting period. I believe that doctors and many nurses are doing their best but in my opinion this hospital is simply not fuctionnal because we were approximateley only 10 patients that night and 2 of them were handled, the rest were waiting and there were no new patients arriving for hours. I think that there is a huge organisational problem there. But I still believe that doctors, and especially surgeons are among the best there, so I give it four stars here ****. And one * star for the organisation and communication.

If I could give zero stars I would. This establishment is so badly organized nobody seems to know whats going on. I saw a dermatologist in regards to a skin condition that had been coming and going for months. She gave me a paper that allowed me to come back at any time during opening hours when my skin would be peaking at its worst and this would allow any doctor to do a biopsy to figure out exactly what it was. When I arrived when my skin was at its worst about a week later the secretaries sent me home saying that what the doctor wrote on the paper is not possible and that I need an appointment. I tried to explain that she gave me this paper because it appears and disappears randomly and it is not certain that if I take an appointment my skin would be bad enough to do the tests I need. They said well we cant help you. I had to ask them to make sure the doctor would call me back on this matter and I never got a call! I had to fight my way in to even see a dermatologist. So many doctors told me it was because of how i shave or the soap or detergent i'm using. I don't shave my feet and these red dots were all over my limbs and made me extremely itchy. The picture below is the only picture i feel comfortable sharing as the other ones are much worse. I had to stop shaving to prove to doctors that these red bumps had nothing to do with that. Im extremely disappointed and shocked with the service I got. I still to this day have not received a call and still do not know why these red spots appeared all over me.

I’m in awe by how amazing the staff is at this hospital. I read the other reviews and yes the emergency section needs a bit of work to make things cleaner, more organized and run quicker. However this does not affect my 5-star rating on this hospital. After a stay at the emergency, a small procedure a few days later, and ending up having a day surgery, I went through several departments and teams. Every department was kind, helpful, attentive and gave off a positive vibe. Even when speaking to each other I witnessed the staff’s support and positive connections. All in all, great job team. Yes there’s always work to be had, but this experience was by far my best hospital experience to date.

(Translated) Worst experience of my life in a hospital emergency! I come home at 7 p.m., being pregnant, I have been in pain for 1 week, I come to consult. Everything goes well at the start: rapid assessment, triage, urine test, registration, reassessment. I finished all this around 9 pm I just had to see the doctor for the consultation and the test result. I began to have vertigo and nausea I communicated it to the nurse she said to me it is useless to update your file you are one of the next who will be called. After 45 min it is finally my turn at 00:45 in the morning. ok i understand there are other more urgent patients. But the worst when I return to the doctor, she asks me to take off her clothes ...... she leaves and leaves me in a well-air-conditioned room, I was shaking with cold ... 35 minutes of waiting and the doctor has not even returned! ! Even an animal is not treated like this! After 6 hours of waiting I was forced to wear my clothes and leave around 1:25 am without consultation or test result or anything at all !! The worst humiliation I have suffered in my life !! If I come to the emergency room it is not for fun otherwise I would have a consultation with a doctor another day and I will be fine. When I left, total frustration, nervous breakdown, pain 12/10! Went there with my sick two years old girl, after four hours without any indication how much wait time we had left. We decided to leave to go to another hospital. When we left we were lead to understand by the staff that the waiting is usually easily eight hours. I also need to add the waiting room for the emergency was clearly dirty.

However, I did not feel alone even once because the nurses and attendants were so welcoming and kind to me. I was very well supervised. The doctor who helped me give birth was awesome.

This is my third time here. When you arrive at Laval look for Route 440 EAST, THEN EXIT 25 IN WHICH YOU CONTINUE STRAIGHT to Boulevard René-Laennec and you will find the hospital. You really have to know which building you need to go to. This is a well equipped hospital.

(Translated) Physical Health: Well, they healed me well, and save my life; Mental Health: Bad, they aggravate my cognitive-emotional suffering, the psychiatric system has improvements to do, if you have mental disorders to be treated internally, I recommend psychiatric hospitals in Montreal as Albert Prévost or Rivière from the Prairies, my experience is that I felt treated like a prisoner, a bad guy when I'm not one, especially internally, It's worse than the UTT. The different problems associating badly are mixed during all the stay. While at Albert Prévost, You will only end up in emergency, after, if you are only in depression, emotional disorder, black idea but no aggression, you are classified in a wing much less hostile. It's my experience, In summary, if you have physical pain, You can still trust The City of Health, but for internal psychiatry, I recommend Hospitals specializing in mental health, such as those that I know in Montreal (Original) Santé Physique: Bon, ils m'ont bien guérit, et sauver la vie; Santé Mental: Mauvais, ils ont aggraver mes souffrance cognitivo-émotionelle, le système psychiatrique a des amélioration à faire, si vous avez des trouble mentaux à faire soigner à l'interne, je vous recommande des hôpitaux psychiatrique à Montréal comme Albert Prévost ou Rivière des Prairies, mon expérience est que je me sentait traité comme un prisonier, un méchant alors que je n'en suis pas un, surtout à l'interne, C'est pire qu'à l'UTT. Alors que à Albert Prévost, Vous n'endurez cà juste à l'Urgence, après, si vous êtes seulement en dépression, trouble émotionnelle, idée noires mais pas d'agressivité, vous êtes classé dans une aile beaucoup moins hostile. unbelievable how unorganized and unprofessional this hospital is. You have to consult 2 nurses before you get to see a doctor! I arrived at 8:30 am at the emergency room. it was almost empty, less than 8 patient were waiting. it took less than 15 to get call by the nurse and register. It was pretty fast until we have to see the second nurse. we waited 3 hours and we still didnt get to see the second nurse! a lot of people who came after us got in first. I was getting very upset because we been there first. I understand priority but I can't accept the fact that we waited 3 hours and almost 20 people went in before us. that's ridiculous! my sister wasn't about to die but her leg hurts so bad that she can barely walk when others look perfectly fine. at the end we waited 4 hours and still didn't get the chance to see the nurse! people told me that when they call you to enter in the room, they ask you to change and make you wait an hour in the room or more before the doctor come to see you. It's a total waste of time and money! I stayed there almost 4 and a half hour with my sister just to see a simple nurse who couldnt help us and I had to pay 13$ for the god damn parking that was super far away. I am 7 months pregnant and have to deal with their nonsense! I was so upset that I was crying while waiting. And at the end what we got? NOTHING! we pay so much taxes per year for medical care but we end up getting nothing but rude nurses and doctors and a very poor service! Quebec is known to have the longest waiting line for emergency! The workers are very rude and unpleasant to talk with. It's better to go at a walk in clinic or CLSC than here.

This must be the worst hospital in the whole country. I've been to many hospitals in my life but the emergency section is the worst. They will make you wait a very long time to see a doctor especially if you're a visible minority that has a hard time speaking French. They will not take you seriously, they will not make an effort to speak English and try to understand your symptoms. I saw plenty of white francophones with what looked like less serious problems come in and get to see the doctor within 1-3 hours. Also they do leave everyone together, covid or not. I can't believe I pay that much tax to get treated like a second class citizen, it's appalling. They really need to hire more staff, bilingual staff, revamp the whole emergency room, the process and the wait time. Waiting 12 hours to even speak to a doctor is not normal.

(Translated) Very bad hospital. 2 days spent there. Horrible emergency waiting time. Nurses at the yard talking about their vacation by taking vital signs. Didn't really listen to the symptoms. Arrogant and haughty emergency doctor, seemed bored of his job. On floor, nursing staff hardly present. Often gathered in the office laughing and talking about everything and nothing. Beasts when disturbed. "YES MISS, RETURN !!! TO YOUR ROOM SOMEONE WILL GO TO SEE YOU" then take 25 min before coming. The gelco was broken, so the drugs could no longer be administered. In short, the management must give a boost and make quality controls. "OUI MONSIEUR, RETOURNEZ !!! My night shift nurse made me cry, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She should not be in the Mère et enfants department!!. Doctors are inaccurate... tell you things to scare you. To the nurses that were doing there job, thank goodness for them. Also if you are a diffent ethnicity , you will be treated differently and poorly, and if you speak english some will act like they dont know what your saying. (This happend to the person i was with) Would i go back to this hospital... no. I will not recommend this hospital either. 2 stars because there was the good and the horrendous.

Horrible. My son is 6. CLSC put a temporary cast on his arm. I've been waiting over 1 week for orthopedics at CSSS to call me to put a permanent cast. They haven't called and orthopedics NEVER pic up the phone. CLSC says they faxed the info and that there's nothing else they can do. What a broken system.

(Translated) We have been warned by friends and others that this is one of the worst - and we must admit it - they are right. We have been 2 times - and it was 2 times too much. The first time we came across a resident who was so arrogant- oh my god, do they teach at the medical school how to approach PEOPLE? If not, he must begin to make- and some doctors realize that PATIENTS is the reason for the existence of their profession. The wait time was similar to other hospitals in the greater Montreal area. In 2 days of hospitalization in the emergency room, we saw the doctor once (and during a big max of 1 min). He does not answer any questions. He's hardly talking to you. We come to take blood tests after taking blood, and we are not told why and what the other blood tests have given etc. Very frustrating experience in this hospital. But the positive side of things, we met 2 nurses who was very understanding and POLI. It seems that we were not the first to experience this situation with some of the doctors on call during our stay. For us, unless there is no other possibility, we never go there again.

(Translated) When I made the complaint, they said the woman's name was Doua or Dua. Either way, it was in the x-ray department with the iodine injection. The lady was really very abrupt with me. First, she didn't want to wear gloves in times of covid. I had to insist and she raised her voice and got angry. Madame it tempted her more to make an effort: "I have a personal preference not to wear gloves", she said. She even suggested that I postpone my meeting until later. I asked who was the boss, she said "I'm the boss." I got along with her (argument for making complaints) and she finally agreed to put on gloves and inject me with her case. On the other hand, it stung me as if it were stinging a laboratory animal, abruptly, quickly and without empathy. Then, once in the scan, I told her that I didn't want to be touched and that she told me how to position myself. I mentioned that if she is to touch me, let it be "minimum possible" physical contact. She simply said, “Okey, your scan will be badly done!” Then she left laughing to see her colleague. After the scan, she said, "Part of the scan is missing, but we'll deal with it!" I made a complaint, but you know how it is. They said it's my version against his. She still scared me and hurt a little biting me like that. I asked if next time I could film or record, they said I'm not allowed. Same band of crosseurs. It had no consequences, they are protecting each other I have the impression.

(Translated) Since I "attended" this hospital, I have never been dissatisfied with my appointments. The doctors always took the time to listen to me and refer me to the specialists concerned. The only negative point (like all hospitals in Quebec I imagine) is the waiting time for certain appointments ... we have time to die twice before having an appointment with a specialist. Better try to stay healthy while waiting ... But once the appointment is obtained, the service is excellent.

I had to take the chance and write this review. My mom had unbearable pain in her stomach last week and she stayed at emergency for two nights. She still can't stop raving how nice the nurses and the doctors were with her and how well they took care of her. These people are true angels in form of human. Thank you❤????

They don't deserve a damn star. One of my family member spent some time in this hospital and didn't receive proper service. They wouldn't change her clothes in the morning nor feed her. When she passed away, they kept on laughing and talking loud next to her room while we were trying to pay our respects. Totally lack of respect! Almost sure that the way they treated her played a role into her decreasing health situation. Would not recommend this hospital. One of the worst i have seen so far.

(Translated) I waited 8h in the emergency room to end up seeing dr d menard, who did not let me say a word, as soon as he entered the room he started talking to me with attitude, asking me questions but didn't even give me time to answer, he told me we have plenty of patients to see, I became aggressive and I told him that I was entitled to the same treatment as all these patients that he was the one who wouldn't let me place a word. I went there for a throat problem that has been going on for 1 month, I had anxiety about it, I expected understanding and a minimum of tact, I left the most stressed that when I arrived. He tried to redeem himself and being calmer when he came back to see me to give me the treatment and medication papers, voila pkoi I put a star Because otherwise it would be worth 0. I will not put any more I am never her feet in this hospital, that she's ashamed to hire so unprofessional doctors, who treat people like that at times like these. There is karma. I'm going to take a complaint to the hospital too, but I'll let someone treat me that way. Second time a loved one has potentially life threatening illnesses. No expression of sympathie. No compassion whatsoever. The super receptionist says (on both occasions) go to the clinic tomorrow, you’re not in need of urgent care and, we’re full (which they weren’t). Nice to see our tax dollars “hard” at work. Fed up of this dysfunctional system.

(Translated) I was in the emergency room of the Cité de la Santé yesterday. Yes, I waited a long time, more than ten hours, but under the circumstances, in the midst of a pandemic, I would not dare to complain, I received adequate care from attentive staff. *** However, precisely in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am absolutely stunned that I have not seen any housekeeping employee clean the waiting areas, chairs, bathrooms, consultation rooms, etc. reassessment areas or others ... This is done regularly in buses, subways, planes ect. If there are places to clean with such traffic, they are in the emergency rooms of all our hospitals. Find the mistake ... Ah yes ... the security guard who answers an elderly and very suffering woman who thinks of returning home, unable to wait any longer ... "do what you want, It's not a prison here ... "this security agent should be careful not to embarrass herself, or just go to work in a prison environment, she was moreover all of the matron without any empathy. Managers = a little surprise tour on the field from time to time ....

(Translated) I have been to Hospital Cité de la Santé several times. Every time, I tell myself that this is the last time. The waiting time in the emergency room is terrible. The staff is very cold and unwelcoming. My 88 year old mother-in-law stayed at the emergency room for 2 days. My 92-year-old father wanted to stay close to his wife. Their one-person visit policy at a time, rigidly and indiscriminately, affects the quality of patient care. My very old parents-in-law needed the support of their children to understand the doctor's communications. Unfortunately, the security guard denied us access to my mother-in-law. Imagine that you had to fight to talk to the doctor to get a newsletter about my mother-in-law's health. The doctor was extremely nice. On the other hand, I can not say the same of the whole staff who is stupid as his feet, not very compassionate. Patients and family seem to bother them. For my part, I hope this time it was really the last time I put my feet in this hospital.

My mother in law has been hospitalized in a single room in isolation due to her leukemia. Nurses and orderlies done exceptional service but the cleaning crew never showed during the weekend and during the week days only did the garbage and two days out of five cleaned the washroom and floor. When I asked the cleaning lady she said it happens often on the weekend the employees are overwhelmed with work. She also said not to worry because we clean the whole room well after every discharge. I find this unexceptable and ask to speak with her manager I've been waiting for him to come to 5 est-north. I will be send an official complaint to the Ombudsman. Also as for the icing on the cake the union is outside today giving out free food, making load noises and at least 30 employees outside while patients are in need of services, thanks CSN!

(Translated) First, much better than in Saint-Eustache (is it worse?) ... I did not wait long for a blood test, I had an appointment at 8:30 am and passed to 9am which is very acceptable given the volume of patients there. The nurse who did my blood test was very nice. I think it is the management that is lacking, far too much to manage for so few employees, it is known, the hospitals are overflowing and the employees are exhausted. So it's easy to make mistakes. It's frustrating, but it is for everyone.

(Translated) Hospitalized for heart surgery, I had to go for 6:30 AM. The dispatcher at the entrance to room RC05 is clearly out of place. Unpleasant! Impolite! Stupid ! Despite the desire to put it back in its place, I kept my energy for what I was going to undergo 1:30 later !!! I consider that it is for a small intervention or a more important, nobody deserves such a welcome! In any case, this is not the kind of person we want to meet before an intervention! A warm person who starts with HELLO is the minimum, before swinging everything else! Fortunately I had a blind confidence in my surgeon and the majority of the nurses were good (except one mainly a few years from retirement who were quick to tell the younger ones not to do too much!). The inventory is outdated and messy, no offer of help, ... no consistency of patients installed in the same rooms. For my part, I shared my room with 3 different people in 8 days, suffering from dementia, 30 years older than me! Despite having asked for a private room, it seems there was none during my entire hospital stay. However, those in front of the nurses' stations were empty every other day! I close by saying that I only have good words for the whole team in the operating room and of course for the professionalism of the vascular surgery staff, but it is different for the other staff members whom I encountered and who had to work with patients.

My 8 years old child was having fever for last 3 days. On Sunday morning he was unconscious and was also having fever more than 100. I put wet cloth on his head to reduce his fever and make him conscious. I took him to this hospital in emergency. I was told by the staff to wait for Doctor's call. I kept on waiting for 4 hours but no one called me back. I went two times to information desk to remind them of my son's critical situation but the lady on the information desk did not bother much. I had to leave the hospital in frustration without getting treatment. I lived 3 years in Ontario and never faced such problem. Ontario health system is much better than Quebec and caretakers should learn from Ontario. This hospital do not deserve even a single star but i have no choice to post my review.

(Translated) The staff is inhuman, I had an operation on the tonsils the doctor prescribed medication for children I had to go back to the emergency room with a big infection another time I wait in the doctor's office he told me had forgotten he went to see other ridiculous patients. Always long even if there are 1-2 people in the waiting room. If it would be me it would be a big 0/5. Several people around me know someone who died because of a medical error !!!! I will never go back in my life !!!! (Translated) If you're waiting for a call to get an appointment at one of the clinics (medical imaging, in my case), make sure you're TAPERED to your phone so you don't miss the call. Because calling back and finding someone to talk to is sport! In my case, I missed the call (received on a Saturday, with UNKNOWN caller ID) and was left with a voicemail. It turned out that the extension I was asked to call back is not working. It just hangs up. So I tried to call another department in the hope of being transferred. I am told that it is impossible to transfer my call to the correct department, despite having explained the situation to them. I'm just told to try again all day (LOL). I call back to the medical imaging clinic and dial any option. I finally come across a lady who does not fail to let me know that I have not chosen the right option! I explain to him that only his post works; the others hang up the line on us. With the biggest sighs in the world, she finally gives me an appointment. Victoire!!! All of this only took 45 minutes of my time... So the moral of the story, don't miss their call!!!

(Translated) The ambulance took my partner away with excruciating pain in his stomach. After examination and a quick ultrasound he was told to go home as they couldn't see anything. Supposedly stress… we still did a blood test in case there was something. the next day, Tuesday, still in stomach pain I take him back to the emergency room, the doctor comes to confirm to us that they do not know what he has and that it can be caused by stress without any examination complementary. I demanded pantoloc from her (recommended by my gastroenterologist uncle in another country) because if it’s the stomach this medicine will relieve him and she does. On Thursday, still in pain, we decided to change hospitals. When I got to the emergency room, my partner told the doctor that he had gone to the health city and had a quick ultrasound. The doctor shakes his head and sends for all the tests, including an ultrasound and a scan. It turns out that he has sand on his gallbladder which is causing his seizures and surgery is needed. The difference is so amazing when you compare the two hospitals, it’s sad to see that city of health didn’t take him seriously despite all the symptoms he had !!!!

AVOID!!! My grandmother went into the hospital one week ago and the service is shockingly terrible. My grandmother had a mild stroke- neither the doctor nor nurse thought it was important to notify the family. We only found out when we tried calling her and she was unable to speak. At that moment, the nurse took the phone and explained it was due to the stroke. Furthermore, it is extremely rare that any nurse or orderly speak English. Due to her stroke, my grandmother can barely speak, as it takes all her energy, yet, the people taking care of her can't understand what she says. I understand the doctors and nurses have many patients but this service is unacceptable. I highly recommend visiting another hospital.

They seem well prepared for the COVID. You get a new mask when you come in and they ask you which ward you're going to. Lots of dividers everywhere between seats and constant disinfecting. Now let's talk about the hospital itself which is a state of the art facility with new wings being built. The Canadian healthcare system can be hit or miss so don't expect miracles every single time.

I went for emergency appointment of my wife, she had horrible itching and all her legs went black. Very first thing is no one speaks English start from Reception to dermatology department, if you do NOT understand French then go back to your home that what was the response I got. Is there any place I can file case against them?

(Translated) I went on an emergency Saturday morning and was really sick and the nurse lacked respect and professionalism. I returned home after two hours of pain sitting on an emergency bench because I was not taken seriously and yet had two abscesses in the right breast following breast cancer surgery. The nurse was arrogant and insignificant. I returned on Sunday at 11 pm because I could not take it anymore, I could not even go to bed anymore. Two young nurses welcomed me with respect and compassion. That's all you ask when you're not feeling well. They were so kind. I finally saw a doctor at 7am the next day and then everything started. I had to see at least twenty employees of the hospital (nurses, doctors, microbiologist) and I saw people respectful and reassuring. Really, all those people who work with sick people despite all the cuts the government makes in the hospitals, they were so kind and treated me respectfully throughout my stay. I want to thank the pediatric staff very specifically or they transferred me while waiting for surgery. All the nurses (day or night) and the two young interns (Sabrina) who took care of me were extraordinary and so attentive. I felt safe because I was really worried about my condition. Thank you very much to this team and all those who have been there to treat me. The cleanliness of the floors left something to be desired but it is due to the cuts of posts which does not prevent to see the staff as human beings who do their best to take care of the people.

(Translated) Our experience has been for a day surgery for mastectomy. My elderly mother was greeted with great solicitude, politeness and understanding. Despite a delay, everything went well and they kept my mother under observation for the night. The next day, a lot of information, advice and always a polite and dedicated attitude. The hospital is much cleaner than two others who will remain nameless .... yet it is the least of things. A flat, the total absence of the doctor, definitely the weakest link in the chain. No communication, no information on the state of the disease and the future of treatments. However, I did not expect better from a doctor. We must wait for the distant appointment we deign to give us. (Translated) This message is dedicated to the coordinators responsible for this hospital. I know Mr. Abdella, (evening service). No one can give me the name of the day coordinator, telling me that it is confidential. ? My parent has been on the palliative since the beginning of March. A procedure was established today by the leaders of the palliative service indicating that no visit is admissible from now on except when our parent will find himself at the end of his eminent life, that is to say a few hours of life. I was therefore asked to leave my parent's bedside in order to get out of the hospital. However that Prime Minister Legault clearly mentions, even today, to the Quebec population, that any recognized caregiver, or any recognized volunteer , MAY AND HAVE THE RIGHT to present themselves to the palliative without any restriction whatsoever, even without the person being helped at the end of their eminent life. I notified the department a few hours ago and I have been waiting since 1:00 pm today for the leaders of this department to modify their decision in order to comply with the clear directives issued by the Prime Minister. I strongly hope that I will receive an adequate response from the palliative service shortly, as time is short, allowing me access to the bedside of my dying parent. I have in hand the proof of my role as a caregiver, I have in hand the proof of the courses taken in the past as a caregiver given by the CISSS, so I respect the required conditions. A quick response would be greatly appreciated in order to quickly remedy this unpleasant situation. Cordially. Here is the answer was given: Yes, I can go to visit my parent in palliative care: for lunch, for supper. As long as we are vigilant, aware of the issues of contamination, and that we take care of the hygiene regulations: wash your hands when you arrive, wear the mask, and stay 1 meter from our parent. Thank you to the lady responsible for complaints who spoke with the head of the palliative department this morning and who together made it possible to understand that a parent must without fail be present with his dying parent whatever is coming to the planet. As long as he is aware of and respects the regulations in force. Problem fixed. And thank you also to Prime Minister Legault for your common sense.

In 2019, where a lot is digitalized in the workplace and now advertised by our wonderful provincial government about easy access to your medical file...why do hospitals have 10 admin workers working in the emergency room overnight FFS?! Then they have the audacity to put up posters asking to be treated with respect. How about they show patients some respect and have more than one useless doctor working!!! Vive le Quebec hein ????

(Translated) Worst hospital. As soon as you arrive, you are outright told that your pains are not a priority and that clearly they will pass everyone before you. Only one doctor for all the urgency. In short, I do not recommend it at all. Try your luck at another hospital because it was a waste of time.

(Translated) I entered the ER at 6:00 p.m. to have my arm stitches done after a fall. As of this writing it is 3:38 a.m. and nothing has been done other than a tetanus shot at 11:00 p.m. No one at triage and reassessment. All the nurses hide to talk about anything and everything in the premises behind their windows because we can hear them talking to each other. The service is terrible and it makes you sick to get sick in this hospital.

The nurse didn’t believe a thing i was saying she just said you don’t look like you’re in pain.

(Translated) I went with my 19 year old daughter to the Cité de la santé last Saturday because she had excessive swelling in the mouth which spread to the face. The last time she had this kind of reaction, 2 years ago, the swelling had grown so much that my daughter had a deformed lower face and I am not exaggerating. Her skin was so tight that it hurt. But the doctors don't know what she has .... When we got to the emergency room, my daughter was immediately given a stretcher. I then asked the nurse if I could possibly have a chair to wait because my back is hurting and I have excruciating knee pain. They answer me: No madam, here we are in the emergency room. My daughter then tells me to sit at the foot of her stretcher. It was then that Doctor Isabelle Croteau examined my daughter, asking that she be injected with intravenous benadryl. And Doctor Croteau said to my daughter: Look, it's just aesthetic, I'm going to send you home ... There are serious cases here. SORRY!!!! Will the swelling stop ??? She wants to return us home ???? I start to raise my voice and get angry. I refuse to go away as long as my daughter's face does not regain its shape a little. If at least we knew what she had but there, without knowing what she has, we want to return my daughter home ... Finally, we transferred my daughter to a corridor and that's where the nice nurse named Barbara arrived. Very sweet, very calm and very friendly. We gave epipene and I don't know what intravenously. And Doctor Croteau came back 3 hours later to return us to the house again. My daughter and I insisted again and finally asked another colleague to take care of my daughter. Doctor Haddad. He did not know what my daughter had but, he decided to try cortisone and asked for blood tests. Thank you to this doctor who was able to reassure us and a big thank you to Barbara from BLOC d des urgences who was so gentle and reassuring to my daughter.

Horrible, if there is less than 1 star I would give it. This hospital is a disgrace to anything called emergency! We've waited longer than 8 hrs just to see a doctor.
