J'ai contacté des Ombudsmen et elle m'a dit qu'elle ne pouvait pas me donner rendez-vous et que la clinique a raison, vous devez obtenir une référence pour pouvoir revenir! L’Ombudsman est donc une blague. Lorsque vous les contactez, ils essaient de vous convaincre que l’Hôpital a raison et essaient de vous faire renoncer à vos plaintes.

Je comprends bien qu'il y a des jours avec et des jours sans mais ma mauvaise expérience a été constante et je n'étais pas la seule à être traitée de cette façon, je trouve ça dommage car elles représentent notre 1er contact avec le service obstétrique-gynécologie. Je crois qu'une formation en service client s'impose!

Pas moyen, la méchante réceptionniste en obstétrique m'a envoyé promener royalement alors que je venais d'apprendre ma grossesse et que j'avais cruellement besoin de conseils. J'ai dû attendre trois semaines avant de voir mon médecin de famille, ne sachant pas si je dépassais la date limite pour les tests de trisomie 21. Je vais accoucher au nouveau CHUM et je suis très contente. À travers cette réceptionniste, Ste-Justine a fait preuve d'un manque de professionnalisme, d'empathie, et a manqué à son devoir qui est de veiller sur la santé de la population. Très, très décevant.

Brought my 2yr old daughter due to on and off fever for the last 5 days...arrived there at 6:45PM went into the triage at 8:39PM after being checked by a nurse i was told that tha waiting time was about 6hrs. We waited a little bit maybe it is not bad after all.The waiting area was full and people that were there before us. At 9:30 we decided to leave because my daughter is getting irritated and she won’t be able to sleep there with all the activities. And I am afraid instead of getting treated she would get sick more. On my way out I asked one patient that was about to leave if how long they waited after the triage she told me they’re daughter was exemption because she had poisoning...They were there already when we arrived. But counting the time we get there, 6:45 and they left 9:30 is that what they called exemption. I think with all the old bad review if they really meant to improve their system,they should have done it long time ago.

WORST HOSPITAL EVER. I came at 10:00pm with my 11 months old baby, so I waited without complaint but c’mon at a certain moment my patience is gone right now! Are they giving priorities to the “Canadians” first? It’s like if you speak French then bingo you’re in if not ...”loser” is it that ? Well that what’s I felt !! But hey are we not Canadians too?? We are paying tax for proper service not for BS manners and service ! Dear management take it seriously or else I assure you people will not return here! Because to say the truth everyone complained and were frustrated! P.S I did do your so called “online survey” and only the truth and the truth you’ll see there, again the service is SUPER SLOW ! Terribly disorganized. We went there for my son’s blood test and were told to make a blue card at the emergency admission. Went there, got told to go to general admission, which was closed. A guard then sent us again to emergency, where another guard told us to go straight to counter B. Girl at counter B screamed at us to go sit down before I could even explain to her that I just needed a card for blood tests. She screamed at me twice actually. Super impolite and from what I gathered she didn’t even know that blue cards were done at the emergency admission on weekends. Terrible service. The nurse ended up doing the blood test without a hospital card and even she was baffled by what she heard and suggested we write a formal complaint.

We had an appointment for blood test today 11/27 at 8:15 am and 8:30 and got there 10 min before our appointment. The receptionist didn't wear mask and kept ppl in the waiting saloon for an hour while he was sitting on his chair without doing anything. We were 8 ppl in the waiting saloon and he started his work at around 9am. That was the time when I noticed that he is the person for taking the blood test too and felt so bad and asked him to give me back the requisitions. He got an smile and gave me back the papers. It was so dismissive and disrespectful and we came back home with a headache due to fasting and this disrespectful behavior.

Stupid and uncofortable chairs for seating 10 hours.only 1 doctor serving 100 kids at night time. Unprofessional management. I think they have enough experience to know that there are a lot of kids at night time and they keep only one doctor and about 10 nurses. They are just paper pushers. When you get in there is one person who is just asking if you traveled recently and giving you pink paper. And then another one is caling you just to make sure that your address os correct. And then nurse calls you and to check temperature and pressure. And when I asked them what is the priority of my kid with 10 symptoms she said half pruority and here you go we had to wait 10 hours. My kid couldnt wait anymore and we went home without seeing a doctor. And I dont even know if that doctor alone can help 100 kids with different problems.they improve their security system who is not even bilingual. They have too much nurses half of them dont even speak proper english and they cannot aford them to have more than one doctor. And when I ask why it is like that? The nurse with nothing saying face answering its night time it is always lije that. I am so pist....

Been here for 6 hours now with my 1 year old who has a fever and the room is full of people in the same position, some who have been waiting even longer. I dont understand how you think that people can wait for hours and hours with no updates as to when or if we will see a doctor. Why wouldn't you simply call people on their cell when it looks like the doctor will be ready in an hour. That way we dont have to keep sick kids in a room for 6+ hours while they get sicker. Very very poor organization from whoever is in charge of systematizing this.

Most hospitals I have been to don't need one and when they do they put up clear signage in obvious places in both French and English. Our young infant was hospitalized due to fever and we had a very good experience throughout the admission process at the ER and during our 4-day stay. The triage system worked well. We didn't have to wait at the ER given the nature of our child's condition. The medical staffs wee professional and friendly. Elle revient et nous dit je suis vraiment désolée ce que la résidente aurait dû vous dire c'est que la chirurgie de votre fils a été annulé! C'est aberrant!!! Je pense sérieusement faire transférer son dossier au Children's. Depuis que mon autre fils avait fait une méga réaction et que Ste-Justine nous a renvoyé à la maison après des heures d'attentes et que le Children's l'avait classé prioritaire et l'avait hospitalisé et le fils de ma belle-soeur arrêtait pas de pleurer, ils lui ont dit qu'il avait un rhume ils sont allés au Children's et il avait une jambe cassée!

I went to emergency around midnight for my little daughter and had to wait there around 7 hours as there's "only one doctor at the emergency night shift" and I saw a nurse and a doctor for a total of 15 minutes. The staff seems professional but most of then lack compassion, surely everyone will be complaining for waiting long time but saying "it's normal" and "doctor is busy" doesn't help. If I could give minus stars I would. I’m crying actual tears after I took my one year old there for a fever. Nurse didn’t know how to take blood sample and she was moving the needle inside his arm while he was screaming his lungs out. And don’t let me talk about how the nurse tried to collect urine sample by inserting a tube which she couldn’t find urine after few minutes of him screaming from excruciating pain. We had a terrible experience in there. My 10 year old kid was being intimated by the nurse who shouted at her because the girl was afraid of the needle. She threatened her that she will ask her colleague to hold her down while taking the sample. She even shouted at my wife saying that she should control her daughter!!!. Not to mention a couple of implicit comments about our language. We had to leave without continuing the examination because we were afraid of her. A horrible, horrible experience.

My son was still on the waiting list !!!! No news, it was me who had to continually follow up, and with each call, the reason for the delay changes ... During my first follow-up after 3 weeks, I was told that it could take 4 weeks before have a date, call back at the end of the following week. I let 2 weeks go by before calling back. During my 2nd call, I am told that the doctor who does the evaluation of the cases has given them the request without date, so the process must be taken from the beginning !!!!! I'm waiting for mid-July, I communicate with them again for the third time and told me that they still have not recovered the file of my son, he is still in the hands of the doctor for evaluation. When I contacted them today, August 19, I am told that my son's file is still waiting !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Après le rendez-vous d'aujourd'hui à Schriners (qui offre un stationnement gratuit soit dit en passant), je communique avec Ste-Justine pour faire un X ième suivi et leur demander d'annuler la demande de rendez-vous. Mon fils était encore sur la liste d'attente!!!! Aucune nouvelle, c'est moi qui devait continuellement faire des suivis, et à chaque appel, la raison du délai change... Lors de mon premier suivi après 3 semaines, on m'a dit que ça pouvait prendre 4 semaines avant d'avoir une date, de rappeler à la fin de la semaine suivante. Je laisse écouler 2 semaines avant de rappeler. Lors de mon 2e appel, on me dit que le médecin qui fait l'évaluation des cas leur a redonné la demande sans date, donc le processus doit être repris du début!!!!! J'attend mi-juillet, je communique de nouveau avec eux pour la 3e fois et me fait dire qu'ils n'ont toujours pas récupéré le dossier de mon fils, qu'il est toujours entre les mains du médecin pour évaluation. Lorsque j'ai communiqué avec eux aujourd'hui, le 19 août, on me dit que le dossier de mon fils est toujours en attente!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peut-être que le service offert par le corps médical est excellent, je ne peux cependant pas en témoigner, je n'ai jamais pu y avoir accès. Alors, bonne chance pour avoir un rendez-vous à Ste-Justine, je préfère aller à Schriners. Je ne tenterai même plus d'aller à Ste-Justine.

After the 2 nights in the emergency room, these same 2 nurses (day) told us that we had to be transferred to Hôpital Maisonneuve Rosemont, something that we refused (with right) and which frustrated the nurses who told us that we are hardly a priority for them considering our refusal to be transferred to Rosemont hospital. We reminded them that it is our right to refuse such a transfer. To overcome our discomfort in the emergency room, we had to bring sleeping bags to sleep on the floor and seeing each other like that, we finally got a room 30 minutes later. Finally, once in the bedroom, an aggressive trainee nurse blew up my 9 month old son's catheter installation because she was too strong, even her teacher said "softly, softly" as she was doing it. By bursting her catheter, this intern injured my baby's right hand which swelled badly and became temporarily inoperative. Nurses had to spend the night trying to find another vein elsewhere to put a new catheter on him so he could receive his antibiotic on time. This intern put the life of a baby squarely in danger. When we complained, they told us we had the right to refuse interns, yet they never asked us for our permission to accept or deny interns. They told us that it's a university center and that's why they don't ask for permission, they take it for granted that we accept interns. In short, it was a nightmare. The one and only positive thing about this hospital was the completely renovated and beautiful premises. (Original) Hôpital à éviter, nous avons dû retourner le lendemain aux urgences car mauvais diagnostique la veille. Ensuite, nous avons été classés non prioritaires pour qu’à la fin nous avons été retenus pour hospitalisation de mon bébé de 9 mois alors que ceux qui ont été classés prioritaires ont été libérés (mauvais triage). Ensuite, nous avons attendu 2 nuits aux urgences avec antibio pour pouvoir avoir une chambre et les infirmières de jour étaient très désagréables et nous traitaient comme des bêtes. Après les 2 nuits aux urgences, ces mêmes 2 infirmières (de jour) nous ont dit que nous devions être transférés à l’Hôpital Maisonneuve Rosemont, chose que nous avons refusé (avec droit) et qui a frustré les infirmières qui nous ont dit que nous ne sommes guère prioritaires pour eux considérant notre refus d’être transférés à l’hôpital Rosemont. Nous leur avons rappelé qu’il est de notre droit de refuser un tel transfert. Pour palier à notre inconfort aux urgences, nous avons dû apporter des sacs de couchage pour dormir par terre et en nous voyant ainsi, on a enfin eu une chambre 30 minutes après. Finalement, une fois à la chambre, une infirmière stagiaire agressive a fait éclater l'installation du cathéter de mon fils de 9 mois parce qu’elle a été trop fort, même sa professeur lui a dit « doucement, doucement » pendant qu’elle le faisait. En éclatant son cathéter, cette stagiaire a blessé la main droite de mon bb qui a enflée grave et devenue inopérante temporairement. Les infirmières ont dû passé la nuit à essayer de trouver une autre veine ailleurs pour lui installer un nouveau cathéter afin qu'il puisse recevoir son antibiotique à temps. Cette stagiaire a carrément mis la vie d’un bébé en danger. Lorsqu’on s’est plaint, ils nous ont dit qu’on avait le droit de refuser les stagiaires, pourtant ils nous ont jamais demandé notre autorisation pour accepter ou refuser les stagiaires. Ils nous ont dit que c’est un centre universitaire et c’est pour ca qu’ils ne demandent pas l’autorisation, ils prennent d’emblée que nous acceptons des stagiaires. Bref, c’était un cauchemar. La seule et unique chose positive dans cet hôpital était les lieux tout rénovés et beaux.

She is rude with horrible experience!We understand that the veins of babies are difficult to find! But she is professional one and should able to find the veins properly! No! She stings my daughter 3 times between her 2 arms and even moving needle under her skin back and forward! An adult cannot suffer this kind of pain and she does it to my 4 months old baby! Long wait time because people show up for things that are non urgent (gastro, fever due to mild viral infection, benign childhood deseases, etc). A child that is severly dehydrated, obvious signs of head trauma, severe allergic reaction/ asthma attack, a fractured limb, those are all situations that require a visit to the hospital. Otherwise, parents should go to walk in clinics instead. That's what they are for. Also, very important to call info-santé before going to the emergency. They will let you know if a visit to the emergency room in necessary. I've been there twice with an infant (after calling info santé) and was seen instantly (barely had time to sit down). Service was excellent. I think common sense is the key here...

Un gros merci aux infirmières qui font un travail génial ! Aux gens qui se plaignent de l’attente : Oui si vous allez à l’hôpital car votre enfant à un rhume, vous allez attendre des heures. Un hôpital on y va pour des raisons valables ! Si votre enfant a un trouble grave, il n’attendra jamais. Donc allez dans une clinique médicale plutôt.
