This Hospital is included in the category of Medical Center.
I believe they don't have enough employees, I believe that the government is responsible for the situation because they cut financing in the medical system. If somebody of your family is there, don't trust the services, trust yourself.
Good physio but the hospital staff threat you like dirt (except the physicians and the nurses).
Dangerous environment. Wheelchair parts all over the floor, chairs blocking the hallways. Very difficult to navigate for any patient with mobility issues. Rooms are cramped. Just awful.
The staff os rude
(Translated) Very good hospital, all the staff are polite, courteous with a lot of empathy, they are attentive to the needs of patients, my father was hospitalized and I have only thanks to the staff, (Original) Tres bon hôpital, tout le personnel est poli, courtois avec beaucoup d'empathie, ils sont a l’écoute des besoins des patients, mon père a ete hospitaliser et je n'ai que des remerciements envers le personnel,
Wonderful outpatient physiotherapy clinic.
Had an outstanding experience with external physioyherapy after my total hip replacement surgery. The staff are patient, courteous and most professional. I am very grateful to all the staff at the hospital and the volunteers who serve there.
I was there between October 2020 and January 2021...the staff was wonderful, Dr. Munoz was absolutely great(and funny),,,,the only issue I ever had was with the food. I can't have brown bread or raisins ,and that is how they serve their french toast, so I asked the dietician if I could have plain white bread used for it...she said fine...but the kitchen literally sent me a piece of white bread(not dipped in egg or anything) with 4 apple slices and a LOT of sauce on top of the apples ,that seeped through the bread....even my nurse was appalled at what they served me!,,, also, I happened to be going to an appointment and passed the kitchen, and one of the chefs was scratching his balls(over his pants)
BEWARE BEWARE! This place is like hell and back. The Staff, the NURSES, the DR. FERNANDEZ and the Head Nurse Mr. Kingley is incompetent unprofessional the Dr. prescribed sedatatives my elderly mother to shut her up because my mom was complaining about their negligence. We didn’t hear from my mother for a couple of days because she was out of lethargic drowsy. Not even a week later they released her in a taxi by herself l, no walker, no medication, NOTHING! We had to call the police so we can get her medication because none of the staff wanted to cooperate with us. It’s more like a mental Hospital. this is a business for them they profit from our government care services. Our Tax dollar. They need to be investigated and SHUT DOWN. This place is a LEGAL SCAM. Beware!
I'm currently staying at Catherine Booth and I think the staff are excellent, professional, and offer empathy in a very stressful setting. The meals are exceptionally good. I feel that the patients need to learn a great deal about respecting the staff and treating them like human beings...not human servants. Personally, I'm appalled at the way they treat the nurses.
(Translated) I am currently hospitalized One of the worst places I've stayed and unfortunately I have a lot of hospital experience in Quebec and Ontario. This center enjoys an excellent reputation for its rehabilitation program, and this reputation in no way applies to nursing care and its staff. Non-compliance with medical prescriptions, lack of communication between stakeholders and departments, you must repeat the same information each time you have to do with a new employee when changing shifts Little discretion when giving you care open door and curtains open (Original) J'y suis présentement hospitalisé Un des pires endroits où j'ai séjourné et j'ai malheureusement une grande expérience des hôpitaux au Québec et en Ontario.
Treatment at the Catherine Booth Hospital After a fall down a flight of stairs I was treated at two general hospitals for a concussion and a fractured disk in my back. While recovering from my back injuries I developed Sepsis poisoning and was in intensive care for about a week. When my condition improved and stabilized, I was transferred to the Catherine Booth Hospital for rehabilitation. I did not know anything about this hospital but the day I arrived I was impressed with my welcome and how organized the hospital was to continue my treatment. After I was taken to a nice clean room, I was given a walker and a wheelchair. Later the floor doctor, the physiotherapist and the floor nurse visited me and outlined the program I would be receiving. During the next three week I received excellent treatment from the whole staff. Doctors were kind, patience and listen to my problems. Other staff on the floor were friendly, helpful and cheerful. My daily routine with the physiotherapist helped me gained strength in my back and allowed me to be mobile. Appointments for doctors in other hospitals were arranged and the transportation was provided by the floor management. I am completely satisfied with my treatment at the Catherine Booth Hospital and would like to thank all the staff and administration. Purificacion Caspillo
never been there
It can be better
I went to outpatient physiotherapy after knee surgery. Brian did an extraordinary job of rehabilitating my knee. He was very professional and dedicated to his work, all the while having a very positive attitude while maintaining a wonderful sense of humour. I would also like to thank the rest of the team that facilitated my recovery.
(Translated) My mother stayed there for 2 days only, she left by ambulance because of respiratory problems. His electric bed was not functional to raise his head, all requests to staff to change the faulty bed or repair it were ignored, we can not be served in French, English-speaking staff for the most part, lack of courtesy and empathy , my mother wanted to be relieved because she was having difficulty breathing and we forced her to stay in bed all night. The person pointed to his bed in order to stay in bed and not move, around dinner time she had to leave by ambulance because of respiratory problems towards a hospital to be treated. The ringing of his phone was barely audible and the phone is chargeable by the day! I would never recommend this establishment, in the corridor the wheelchairs obstruct the passage and the footrests drag on the floor separated from the wheelchairs!
Terrible organization in the medical records department. I have been calling medical records insistently for A YEAR and no-one has the professionalism nor decency to take or respond to calls. Finally I spoke to someone in charge and they referred me to contact 2 extensions specifically of Ms Cohen who is supposedly in charge or Andrea Ariola. Neither have had the respect or professionalism to return a call regardless of the multiple messages left on their direct voicemails. Had to hire a 3rd party to get things done for me. I do not recommend Cathrine Booths for anything if this is the manner they handle important requests.
My experience was a good one. In rehab one must learn to adapt. It could be difficult for a few days but you learn. The staff is generally caring and very helpful. They are most pleasant and do their best. They are busy. The expert physiotherapy and occupational therapy staff are highy skilled and qualified. Their expertise helps you to walk etc. They are wonderful and kind. I have a high regard for this hospital and centre.
One of the worst dumps I have seen. Service is below zero. Cleanliness is passable. Food is disgusting. Staff luck of the draw but mostly uncaring. Avoid this place of you can.
My father stayed there for 3 weeks and the staff was helpful and friendly. Dr Beardsley was very professional and did an awesome job like she always does. I hope our government support these centers in all ways possible! Please keep supporting our seniors population!
Disgusting. Upon my fathers arrival, they left him on a commode with the lights off and pants around his ankles, all alone for an hour. No wheel chair was given to him, and he is perfectly capable despite having one leg. No shower, no air conditioning and extremely rude staff. Filthy conditions. Please do not let you or your loved ones into this place.
Had an extremely positive experience there for my rehab following my complete hip replacement surgery. They got me back on my feet and ready to resume all my activities promptly. Couldn't expect better service.
(Translated) My mother stayed at this rehabilitation center for 2 months, she doesn't speak English, she was outright discriminated against by the staff (especially the attendants) who only spoke English and who all seemed more rude to them. each other. Not only did they not force themselves to speak to her in French, but they avoided her room and walked straight through when she asked for help (I have witnessed this on several occasions). Several times she called us crying so much she did not feel well in this place. It is unacceptable that in Quebec, in Montreal, we cannot be answered in French in public care institutions. Fortunately, our many complaints in high places paid off and we were able to get her out of there a little earlier to provide care at home. On the other hand, a HUGE THANKS TO IBRAHIM HER PHYSIOTHERAPIST who was an angel in her journey and a few other professionals who helped her get out of there quickly, seeing her so unhappy. She left the center on June 9 and since that day her recovery has been exponential, among her family with the help and great professionalism of the nurses from the CLSC who come to her home for her home care.
Worst experience of my life I cannot imagine such a place is stil open We do need these centres but staff is so rude, they brush you off! No empathy no compassion Totally disgusting
