I have had both good expierence and bad expierence with staff at the hospital some are actually concerned where some brush you off and treat you as if your not a concern on there charts it really sucks when you get the rude doctors and nurses other times its amazing I just dont know.

For a small BC hospital this is one of the best hospitals I have used (on multiple occasions). The food is actually quite good if you can believe it, and the staff are great. Parking is very limited though.

Some other doctors are rude and has this facial expressions of furrowed forehead and they seem irritated or something. Ladies that's takes down information saved a wrong number no wonder I can't get a phone calls from doctors appointment and they seem unpleasant. Dr. Tamhasbi and Rona are super nice. That's all I can think about positive on that hospital.

It's a small hospital, nothing revolutionary. However it really bothers me that you can't enter the emergency without being buzzed in by a nurse who is often absent. Don't go to emergency with a heart attack lol you will be dead because they probably won't even see you collapse for the first 30 minutes let alone get in if it's the middle of the night. I once had to sneak in through the ambulance entrance because I didn't see an obscure buzzer tucked 15 ft away from the actual entrance.

I was so impressed by the professionalism of everyone I came into contract with, from the admitting nurse, the lab, the anethisolologist. Everyone was thorough, making sure I knew exactly what was going to happen before and during the operation. Even though I'm used to being at a larger hospital, I would choose GR Baker in a heart beat.

The worst ultrasound tech had no clue what she was doing. I do not recommend this hospital for anything. The only thing they are good for is the junky population. Go to pg if you want proper medical care

I Was in a major motor vehicle accident on December 18, 2021 and an ambulance brought me to the hospital with chest pains leg pains. After being wheeled in the ER I was took to the waiting room amd sat there for 3 hours before someone looked at me... so this place is a complete and utter joke of health un-care..

Are you kidding me with my medical condition I am still sitting in emergency ward for 2 hours 10 people had gone before all because I cant be vaccinated THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL DISGRACE. I WOULDNT EVEN GIVE IT A 1 BUT IT WOULDNT LET ME NE KEAVE

I've had multiple stays at this GR Baker and I've always found the staff to be very professional and kind. Keep in mind this is not a regional hospital but I've never found it lacking and if the hospital cannot help you they do everything they can to get you to a location that will better serve your needs. I've been a patient for surgery, as a walk in and brought in by ambulance. At times you may have to wait longer than you may feel necessary, however, I always keep in mind there are other people that obviously are in greater need than me. The mushroom soup is made from scratch and I love it. I always make sure to thank everyone for the job they are doing be it the nurses, doctors and for sure housekeeping and food services.

The young lady working at the lab (younger blonde lady) unhappy, unfriendly and ride, I tried being extra nice to her and she continued with her condescending and rude behavior, thankful i don't live in Quesnel and so i don't need to see her again! The admitting desk lady (older lady with long hair) wasn't much happier, when you work with the public at least pretend you enjoy humans. I understand having a bad day but when someone offers warmth and kindness towards you don't scowl ladies :) Everyone else... fantastic, friendly and helpful. I am very grateful for the rest of the staff.

Don't bother going to the ER unless you're dying, and even then I'd recommend going to PG. Nurses and doctors are too busy chatting about their life/what coworker they're banging to actually deal with patients. They're either always short staffed or just incompetent, but 3 hours later and they've helped one person.... who had some road rash (not even blood).

Good Ground Mining

Had to take my gf here due to a serious burn. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Got her in very quick and sent her home with enough supplies to treat her injuries.
