I had my son here and it was awesome. They were all so wonderful. However, I am pregnant again and have recently had to start coming back for ultrasounds. The last time I was there, Feb. 2, the ultrasound waiting room had standing room only, the chairs were not socially distanced properly, and the maintenance guy was not wearing his mask properly. I am now sick, after managing to stay healthy throughout this whole pandemic.

Very caring staff

Day surgery for hernia - can't say enough about the staff and my surgeon, Dr, Say - excellent both medically and in their personal dealings. Extremely kind, caring people.

Their number keeps calling my mom and she’s never been there. Once my mom answers, the phone will make that very loud noise. The calls from this number was every 2 minutes after the one before

Honestly I’m quite sad, I’ve been having stomach issues for months and doctors all over chilliwack have completely dismissed me as a person, all I needed was something to numb my heart burn and I was left for hours

I wasn't taken seriously due to prior diagnosis that was unrelated, made to feel like what I came in for wasn't real nor an actual issue when I had been advised by 811 to call an ambulance immediately. I was also continuously cut short when I was trying to explain my severe symptoms, and after hours of waiting with no tests run, I was advised to just make an appointment with my GP. I can't say I've ever been more disappointed in how my health and concerns were handled. Truly a horrible experience.

Worst hospital I went in with a finger injury WAITING FOR 5hrs I ASKED THEM WHATS TAKING SO LONG THEY REPLYED U HAVE TO WAIT AND IT WAS 5am

Everyday. I'm hustling one day at a time.

Haley Marie

Very loud and slow service, but nurses are extremely kind and understanding!

Nothing to complain about besides a bit of a wait, which you will face in any emergency room. I had my gallbladder removed at the hospital in 2019, and it was amazingly done - doctors and nurses were attentive, professional and caring. I hope they're hanging in there during this pandemic.

Triage was efficient, and after a bad accident Tom and Dana in pre-surgery prep and recovery were kind and helpful and had a nice positive genuine energy. Tom took the time to chat with us and discuss medical research they were a part of, how it related to our care as well as he had a lot of information what we should expect. Ours was an emergency situation, so his calmness and info was very much welcome. If we ever have a disaster happen again, we'd be comforted knowing they were waiting. Our surgeon was great and fitted us in on a busy Sunday in order to get it done quickly with the best chance of recovery after Abbotsford didn't have room or time. Thanks to all! Our ortho surgeon was great. Professional, kind, friendly and knowledgeable - we had full confidence in him. Also noticed him thanking those around him who were helping and assisting - he was part of a team and his team attitude helped us be calm and reassured that we were getting the best possible care. Thanks Dr P!

I’ve visited the Chwk Hospital a total of 3 times. Twice I’ve had to obtain doctors notes for my daughters daycare (we don’t have a GP or a paediatrician). Both times the wait has been 30 to 60 mins. Staff, nurses and ER doctor (same guy both visits) were all friendly and efficient. I didn’t have to wait the excruciating wait times or pay a fee for a doctors note as you would at a walk in clinic. My third visit, I had delivered my son via last minute c-section. During my visit I received immediate and intimate care. All the maternity staff were receptive and kind-hearted. I also lucked out and delivered on a “slower day” and managed to get a private room. Since I wasn’t expecting the experience I had, i am so glad to have chosen the Chwk maternity unit vs driving all the way to Abbotsford. Also, this delivery experience is definitely more appreciated and memorable than my 1st in Winnipeg, MB (Women’s Hosp).

Had our young daughter in emergency and the staff was nothing but excellent!! Right from check in, to out clearance they were top notch and friendly. So thank full for the Easter Sunday evening staff and pediatrics for staying in emergency with us!!!!! Made a heartbreaking experience as good as possible!! Thank you!!!

Nina Flanagan

We needed to have blood work for our 4 month old. They tried twice but couldn’t find a vein and asked us to come back the next day. They couldn’t find a vein the second day so they checked with the lab and decided to do a heel test. I really appreciated that they wouldn’t just keep poking my baby until they found a vein and the staff were so kind and so sweet to her. I felt like they went out of their way to take care of our baby.

Ive had a few visits to this hospital over the last few years. I have never waited long, certainly not as long as i had expected each time. Its important to gauge if a visit to the ER is necessary or not. If no, then wait and go to family DR or walk-in clinic. The Dr's and nurses here always do their best

if this is general hospital WHERE ARE ALL THE GENERALS??? this is a scam.

alyssa simpson

Gross negligence. Two completely incorrect diagnosis. Both of which could have been life threatening of we didn't go elsewhere. First one, diagnosis, hemorrhoids, actually colon cancer. Second, torn ligaments..actually broken bone in foot. I would highly recommend going to a different hospital.

Lilith Nox

Slow and I found the staff to be unskilled.

Ranjeet Sing

Slow service and no one spoke our language here.

Jennifer Gagne

Staff are competent, caring, and professional

If you wanted to die, this is a great place to do so. Pumps people full of drugs, takes hours upon hours to get tests done, no updates, no patient reassurance. This place literally runs to turn people to drug addicts or kill them.

Thia place was awesome!!!! Was in the rubber room (Pink Room) when I was a kid. Don't know if the Psych Ward is still there but was put there when I escaped from the Children's Ward. One of the exits led to the roof so I go on the roof, climb down the emergency stairs and fart off. You couldn't keep me locked up when I was a kid.

Went to emergency with blood coming out of my mouth and nose.would not let me in to treat me without a mask

horrible wait times... my last visit was for a 2nd degree burn all over my left hand and they made me wait in the waiting room for 6 hours with a dry wrap on it. another time i cut my thumb open really badly and was in the emergency room for 5 hours with a wound that didnt stop bleeding, when i asked for more gauze or some tissues the lady working there sighed and tossed the gauze towards me. all the staff i have interacted with act as though they are held against their will to be there too. every time i go im always waiting at least 5 hours. just take the extra time and go to Abbotsford hospital.

The Maternity Staff are the best! Words cannot describe how thankful I am for their help during my pregnancy and after with my baby. Thank you so much!!

Came in an ambulance with a spinal injury and they wheeled me to a bed and told me to move myself onto the bed and the nurse left. They forgot about me and came back two hours later and gave me pain medication which didn’t work and sent me to get X-rays. They told X-rays that I could move WITH A SPINAL INJURY and then at X-rays they told me to drag myself onto the X-ray table. Worst experience ever. Felt like they didn’t care. My spine is even worse now and I’m going to a different hospital to get proper care. I’m currently paralyzed from the waist down because they did nothing and it got worse.

Teegan Levesque

Great staff. The blonde nurse who helped me from 10pm to 1am last night did an absolutely phenomenal job. ????

David Campbell (Ben)

Should I buy a hospital his friendly staff he walked into the front door and they asked you how can we help you are you okay do you need medical attention and so on and so so forth and then you ask him how is the waiting time here in the hospital they say during the day it's wrong night time it's better between 11:00 and 6:00 in the morning so I give the rating of four

Sandy Davies

I was impressed on how easy the hospital was to find coming from Abbotsford for eye surgery all is well now to wait for my client to get registered.

Linda Hartley

Fast, efficient, effective in cardiology.

Jordan Prince

Absolutely unacceptable! My sister had to spend 6 hours here only for her and everybody else in the ER to leave because there was only one doctor! He was dealing with a trauma and everyone was advised it would be a 4+hr wait time!

Mephastus

This place is a disgrace to the fields of medicine and health care. This place turns away so many people with legitimate injuries or illnesses simply because they don't want to deal with you and because they think you're just an addict. This place should be shut down and every single doctor and nurse barred from the profession for life.

I had hip replacement surgery on August 8, 2018 and was extremely impressed with all the hospital staff I encountered, nurses, lab, X-ray, doctors, dietary, and cleaning maintenance. I felt well taken care of and my needs fulfilled and respected. My past working history was in nursing/psychology and I understand how some patients become frustrated with their situations in the hospital. However they must understand that the hospital staff are limited by a number of factors and cannot accomidate everyone’s wants. You are in hospital for a reason and not in a luxury resort. Remember to separate what you really need from your wants! Then usually you don’t feel disappointed with what you receive for care. ????

G Woodward

Rude staff, long waits, seems all they do is walk around with their Starbucks while people wait hours upon hours in the emerg. I had poor care here during labor and have continued to have poor care when I've needed to go here. It took almost 3 hours just to check in at triage which is ridiculous for an emergency situation!

Karli Mulligan (pitchoun)

I cut my chin open when I was 3, and had to go get stitches. Doctor didn't even put me under. My mom had to hold me down while he stitched up my chin. While. I. Was. Awake. I was screaming and crying but I wasn't sedated. At THREE YEARS OLD. I still suffer from fear of needles to this day, at 18 years old.

The sodexo staff really need to be more dam friendlier. Two cleaning staff who we're working today laughed at me for helping my husband. He had a work ingury and I was helping him move. One of the cleaning crew started starting at me and laughing at me.I will send an email and make a report about her after I find out her name.Other then that everything was fine.I think that was very disrespectful if you ask me.I asked the nurse man if that was the cleaner and he said yes indeed.I have no patients for stupidity.Have a great day.I will be reporting this.

Will be on the surgery ward, N4, floor 4 for a week. My discharge is tomorrow. It has been a very painful time. I have to say the nurses I had during my stay have been over the top, amazing professionals. I don’t know how they do it looking after so many patients with so many different personalities and sometimes difficult situations. During the week there were so many patients that had come as I had a room with four beds. The nurses made every single patient feel they will be taken care of. I can say every patient that left felt that relief of finally going home but being so grateful they were under the care these nurses. Special thanks to Nancy, Mya, Anju, Joan, Ellen, Nerisse. ???? wishing you all the best!

Shout out to the staff of CGH maternity and delivery section. My wife gave birth here and the staff are so helpful and approachable. They assisted us and helped us all throughout our stay there. They make sure that my wife is comfortable all the time. They will explain to you your options that would help you to come out with best desicion. They closely monitor my wife and our baby's vitals and explain all the tx and procedures they will do. Special mention to Nurses: Susan, Melissa, Elizabeth, Nicole, Moira, Jessa, Shelly, Kari sorry if I missed some of the names. They really did a fantastic job. Thanks to the Doctors: Dr. Lori Laughland, Dr. Deacon, Dr. Suleiman, Dr. Harris, Dr. Viljoen. Thank you also to the guard on duty who assisted us from the ER going to the Delivery ward since we came there midnight. And to the staff of the operating room and recovery section. Thank you for making our 3 days stay stress and anxiety free. You guys are amazing!

Worst hospital ever!!!!!!!!!! If I could give zoro star I would. It takes 7 hours!!!!!! See the doctor. Even looks not busy. I wonder is that really emergency hospital!???? Hope they are working on the right place.

Keith Hostetler

I got very good, competent and prompt treatment at this hospital. My possibly serious problem was cleared up in a 4 day stay.

Shawna Steger

My 8 year old son was seen by DR Olson today for a sore throat. He was very anxious about having his throat looked at. The auto scope light scares him. Dr Olson and the nurse tricked him into thinking it was a flashlight. He was told to look up and open his mouth. For the first time in his life he let a dr examine him. 5 ⭐️ And a job well done Dr Olson and RN (I didn’t get her name)

Chill The F*ck Out

Cut my finger to the bone, dealing with extreme pain for multiple hours with 0 help. People don't wear masks, this hospital is a huge joke. Honestly never hoped someone lost there jobs until now

I've heard good and bad stories from friends. My own experiences have been somewhere in the middle. Nothing special, but not terrible.

lorna eaton

Good Covid protocols upon entry. Took less than half an hour to get a blood test.

S Baumgartner

I was scheduled for hernia surgery but it was postponed because of COVID-19. With the soft re-opening of surgery last week I accepted a slot with 48 hours notice. I haven't had surgery for decades and am so impressed with how easy this kind of surgery now is. My surgical team and the hospital did a great job with having to work around the ongoing COVID-19 restrictrions. I have been using other hospital facilities for the past two years - lab, mammograms, pain clinic, xrays and CT scans. Now with having surgery I feel totally comfortable having any kind of medical care done there.

Worst Hospital Ever. They are very inconsiderate ...rude and racist to Aboriginals..sending the Sick home who either die from their sickness because they were sent home or go back to hospital with Double Pneumonia..The kiosk staff are rude impolite...Makes me wonder how they were raised as child. A matter of fact i say that about anyone who is so judegmental of other Human Beings. Not everyone is raised with discipline .Some are and show it well. In fact one nurse had the nerve to say .."Sure getting alot of Brown people today in the Hospital. With the most churches in whole of British Columbia ...in Chilliwack...you would think Racism would not exist in Chilliwack. I am not afraid to speak my mind. I am an Advocate to myself; know my rights. That Chilliwack Hospital better pull up their socks. Hopefully end up in Court one day for their Poor behaviour to not just Aboriginals but others.

Sitting here with a four inch open wound (round not a cut) on my foot bleeding everywhere in a world of pain in a wheelchair that has no mobility to the person sitting in it so I can't go anywhere and they tell my caregiver that they have to leave, I've been here for sometime and not one person has asked me if I need to go to the washroom or do I need anything to drink or even if I'm at least ok....I told my caregiver hes not going anywhere as i am in need of assistance...I'm absolutely disgusted in the lack of empathy and consideration for a disabled person in a wheelchair...I will be making a formal complaint against the hospital not to mention everyone parking along the emergency entrance so I couldn't even get on the sidewalk to gain entrance and thank gawd for my caregiver was there to catch the chair as I almost tipped right over....this is by far the worst hospital in BC and should be shut down....2 hours and not one nurse has asked if I'm ok or anything....if I could give it a minus stars I would

Calvin Turncliff

After spending 9 days between hope hospital, Chilliwack and Royal Columbian. Chilliwack is like a 4 star resort compared to the others. Remember all hospitals suck, but this one was actually quite peaceful and most of the nurses were very good. If you have to get stuck in a hospital this is a good one to end up in.

Brenda Lilly

Very terrible experience I had a bad car accident on Sunday night on hwy 1 West bound where my car cart wheeled 3 Times. I was lucky to be alive. The firemen that got me out of ditch were excellent the police traffic service were good and ambulance were good. But as soon as I arrived at hospital my hour and half wait was lonely and painfully agonizing. No one came up to me and said anything g I was left with my head and neck brace on playing on a hard board for over an hour and half. I was then xrayed. And bumped back and then the Cray forgot to xray something the doctor needed so I was bumped back to xray. Over 3 hours before pain medication was finally given and it was found that I had a compound fracture in my spine at that point the nurse ripped my head stuff off and I asked what's going on and she said your discharged and can go home. It's 2am in the morning and pouring rain but the ole Chinese nurse says yes you have to go but not before paying. What I can't barley walk and I could have a concossion and who knows what else as xray only picks up broken bones. They kicked me out into the cold raining night. Never been treated this bad but it's a 2 for 2 for this hospital. Only if u are somebody special I feel that I will be treated with any.type of compation. And there was not one.person in waiting.room and only one lady inside emerg no reason to make me.wait 3 hours for pain meds which didn't help anyway.

Silicone Julie

The medical team on Cardiology is incompetent. As a result no life saving surgery preformed and many broken hearts and lives.

Rob Burroughs

Visiting emergency again with health issues through a pandemic. Not much of an immune system and I cannot afford to get sick. But once again no one cleaning chairs this chair I was told to wait in looked like spit on the chair not clean and I have yet to see anyone clean a chair. But twice in emergency I was told to clean my own chair by a nurse. After waiting several hours.

Kris Arnason

Stay away from this hospital. The staff are dangerously incompetent and one staff was violent, another just misdiagnosis while the others follow the doc in charge blindly and with extreme aggression. The staff make the movie "one flew over the cuckoos nest" look like a picnic. I felt lucky to leave with my life.

Diederik Kok

As my grandpa layed dieing of cancer, we were not allowed to see him. When my grandma called to speak to him she was told to stop calling because he no longer makes sense although she just wanted to hear his voice again after a 50 yr marriage. Not being able to get the vaccine fast enough just to speak to him one more time this hospital made sure to keep us from seeing him. But now that he's gone it's OK to go into the hospital and see his dead body. This is the type of treatment and respect they give!

This place is a total joke. My brother cut his knee open after a dirt bike accident. They barely cleaned or checked it before doing stitches. 3 weeks later he felt a large bump in it so we went back. They reopened the wound to find a large rock about 1 inch squared. He had to be off work for several more weeks due to there sloppiness. Totally waste of time.

Lisaa Nellson

Friendly staff, waited long enough but people were so nice

Patrick Kocsis

People where nice (somewhat) went here with my girlfriend because she was experiencing nausea ,fatigue, high blood pressure, and an awful headache the headache didn't stop for the passed 4 days. So we decide that tylonal was not cutting it anymore, so the er was our next step and our family doctor was not available. After a 7h wait at the front waiting area of the er we were met with a 3 hour wait in the office. When the doctor came in with the results all he had to say was, we should book an appointment with our family doctor because " there's not much they can do "

Mike Soria

friendly staff, very pleased

Joelle Ducharme

I just had a Pelvic Surgery on July29, just wanted to mention that my visit and stay at this hospital was outstanding. The nurses were all so kind and accommodating . They attended to all of us with professionalism and patience. I have never experienced this at such a high level. To the nurses that attended to me pre-surgery to my short 2 day stay afterwards, everything was done with accuracy, gentleness and kindness. I want to say a big thank you to all the nurses that work with such dedication. All your efforts make this world a better place. Thank you to Amanda, Carolyn, Dominique and Lances, my recovery nurses. You are like angels for those of us who are in pain. Also a big thank you to all the staff and my doctor, Dr G.S. Dhillon, who performed the surgery and was back the next two days to visit me. Please know from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all your hard work and attention to details. Keep up the good work and God Blessings to everyone.

Deanna Holden

Horrible place completely judgemental staff in the emergency room treated my family and i very poorly , when i called to complain over a year ago about my experience they told me someone would call me back never heard from them . Very unprofessional

cameron richmond

STAY AWAY if you are between the ages of 16-35ish. AGEISM and STEREOTYPES are flaunted at all corners of this hospital. codes of conduct are broken as well as procedure when dealing with patients. If you go here you are putting your rights and safety in jeopardy.

Vince Brochu

I got gut problem. And the doctor s didn't do nothing they told me not to eat solid food because I have gut problem. Bin not eating for 4 weeks now am getting week. Plus I find out if u are a nobody there no help for people like me. I stopped going because the doctor s in Canada not good at all. There's no help for people that are nobodies don't have a chance in this world. Look what happens to poor people that ask for help WE DIE ON THE STREETS ALONE.

Adam Nelson

In all honesty I find the hospital Dr's to be very caring and knowledgeable. All the Dr's such as Dr Olson, Dr oostanbrink, and all the others have helped me out more than I can imagine. The people who complain a lot have to realise that they work with what they got. Heck Dr Olsen even takes time to answer all the weird questions that I have.

Bertha Solvey

Henry Schouten

I Spent some days in both emergency and ICU last week. All of the doctors and nurses I had contact with were very caring and professional. In their very busy job they made the time to care for and encourage a worried, impatient, patient. Thank you

Joleen Murphy

Absolutely horrible hospital. Emergency staff are rude and miserable. No communication. Went there as my 10 month old son was projectile vomiting from 8 pm the night before. Sat in waiting room for 3 hours and were told not to feed him. He was dehydrated already and when we told them we were leaving to try and feed him, they didn’t care and said there’s nothing we can do! He was priority, apparently 3 hours is priority and still waiting! Absolutely no compassion.

If you care about yourself/your loved ones. Do NOT take them here. I understand working in Healthcare is hard, however it just seems most workers here hate it. The staff always are very rude, fed up, and just not pleased to be there. When I was left bleeding in a room from my foot all over their floor for 5 hours without any check ups, tyneol, nothing. I realized just how little i was about to be cared for. My father in-law was quite literally dropped from the operating table here as-well. I dokt know anyone in chilliwack that doesn't have a horror story from this hospital.

Don’t bother going. They couldn’t care less about you or your illness. And if you go to the ER, be prepared to wait 8-10 hours. What’s the point of calling it an “Emergency room” then?

Can't say enough about the kindness and care with Betty's team at the Central Registration Desk and most especially the NURSES IN INFUSION CARE. We've seen these amazing individuals often enough to know how they really work and they really work HARD!! They are gracious and even though not always treated kindly, they keep going with a smile! What a WONDERFUL group of professionals. Kudos also to the cleaning staff who sometimes are forgotten - we've noticed they are the quiet HERO'S that keep that place looking spiffy and germ free. All other departments have been super in every way too. THANK YOU CGH...WE THINK YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!!!!!!.... :)

PS

After filing complaints with the Patient Care Quality Office, Officers of the BC Legislature, President Victoria Lee, and Premier John Horgan my family is now the subject of reprisals by senior CGH staff. Denying life saving cancer surgery, discharging a family member with Dementia onto the streets without notification, discharging a patient while she's still hemorrhaging, refusing to administer life saving medications, staff calling me derogatory names, being hung up on by staff -including the ER Manager, staff refusing to provide discharge instructions, staff refusing to identify themselves upon request, staff not using their real names during the performance of their duties, prescribing medications that don't exist, to name but a few. I would never recommend this place to anyone who cares about their loved ones safety and survival. Abby or Hope, never CGH. Fraser Health has now terminated all care services, including the agreed upon cancer surgery, as a reprisal for filing the original complaints.

This specifically deals with the staff at the Ambulatory care desk. People are going through a lot right now. We don't need rude, ignorance when we arrive there. Please stop being so belligerent and be kind.

gabrielle gendron

Today my family had an awful experience in the emergency room trying to get a possible blood clot checked out in my papa who was recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer as per his oncologists eager advice and requisition note provided. I unfortunetly did not get the names of the two women behind the 1st and 3rd window in registration but they were the oldest of the staff on tonight 05/19/18 at 4:00. They were extremely rude , no compassion and had the audacity to serve an attitude along with dirty looks to not only my family but many others before and after us. I am truly disgusted in these two women and I wish I got their names so I could report them. I know I cannot judge the entire emergency room + staff because of two women but my experience was so bad it’s worth sharing.

Had bilateral myringotomy done here Jan. 8th. I was looked after very well, on schedule. Nurse Tina helped me. In the OR, the anaesthesiologist, I believe his name was Dr. Rateef( hard to catch names when deaf) was great. The rock star in the OR, especially after the surgery was Nurse Eva. Care above and beyond, really helps.

Lenore Macnab

My name is Gayle. I recently spent over six weeks in this hospital. I have been in hospital many many times and during my stay in Chilliwack I received the best Nursing care I have ever had. The Care Aides were equally terrific. So were all the doctors. I just want this to be known.

This hospital is a joke. All of the nurses are moody and have awful attitudes. No one talks to update you. 4 hours in the waiting room then 1.5hr in a room with no dr saying anything to you. We went to the hospital to have our 8 month old looked at as he was quite sick, yet it seemed as though we were invisible our entire stay. Terrible hospital!

I can't say enough about the Awesome Staff on 4 North. Nurses like Anne who make a devastating life change more bareable. She shared her personal family experience to help us going thru ours. ALL the staff are awesome and a special note Anne you are a beautiful lady and have a special spot in our hearts. Thank you for helping us understand.

This hospital is the WORST hospital I’ve ever had to visit in my life. The front desk were rude and very inconsiderate. They acted as if patients should not be approaching them even though they are there to help. My girlfriend passed out in the waiting area and after telling one of the clerks she said “tell her to walk to the stretcher,” as she was passed out in the waiting room. She reluctantly called a nurse to come when I couldn’t find the wheelchair that she pointed out to me with little direction and no concern for the patient. we received no updates through the whole night, and the front desk couldn’t even help patients who had to use the bathroom. They have zero knowledge of any information that patients want to ask them, which is concerning considering there the only people there is to ask simple questions such as “where is the bathroom?” ive never received poorer service in my life. The staff needs to realize that people sitting for hours upon hours are not having a good night, so there rude and unhelpful attitude may push certain patients over the edge. DRIVE TO TJE ABBOTTSFORD HOSPITAL, ITLL BE WORTH IT!

I give it five stars. Because of 5 fantastic people. One for each of the nurses who were excellent and very accommodating. I probably met 20 throughout my stay, most of whom had no sense of compassion, were outright rude, disrespectful and judgmental. But you 5, you were terrific! Thank you for being so hospitable. You guys earned your $36/hr and had a genuine passion for nursing. Thank you again. I really don’t want to leave names, so initials it is... E, S, S, J & S - you guys rock. Can’t leave the fantastic doctors out either... thanks to all of you for being so courteous and understanding. Chilliwack hospital was a pleasure. ????

For a hospital so far out in the valley, great facilities, staff, physicians and equipment. Better than Langley or Surrey by far. Clean, efficient and effectively managed.

What a hospital with amazing staff that I encounter every time I’m here. I had quite a long day surgery and was there for a good chunk of the day and every single staff memeber I encountered was so friendly and kind. I felt so comfortable even though I was quite scared and everyone was so genuinely comforting. I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else, even though I live an hour away from this hospital and 5 mins away from Langley hospital, the staff makes a huge difference in patient care.

Went to emergency and fund out how incompetent the Doctors . and nurses were. where they get the license, worse experience I ever had .

This hospital is an absolute joke. Seems to be ZERO communication between departments. Info for procedure bookings does not get sent, therefore required appointments do not get booked. You only find this out days later .. They tell you they will call you with info, but that’s just lip service. They never call. The negligence of the staff in this hospital is unforgivable. This place should be shut down . If you don’t want you or your loved one to die, go somewhere else.

Found the staff and the care in day surgery to be quite good. I came away with a whole new appreciation for nurses. They work so hard and still take time to exercise the people skills that make each patient feel special. I also found the levity a great relief during the uncomfortable physical procedures. The names I remember best are Jennifer (very kind) Jane ( calm and confident) and Tom ( a wonderfully funny guy to wake up to). There were others, and all were courteous and helpful in their own unique ways. Thank-you from Edna.

Mads Reviews

The intake nurses @ Emergency are rude and the wait is usually anywhere between 6-12 hours. I do understand that this Hospital is greatly underfunded so they do what they can I guess. All the Doctors & nurses that have treated me after the horrendous wait have been wonderful though!

I have had nothing but great service when I have been in the Chilliwack hospital. Whether it was in the emergency, or being in the hospital having my 3 kids. Nurses, doctors, all staff was extremely helpful.

wow a lot if mixed opinions on these reviews, personally, I wouldn't say its a 5 star hospital or anything, but it is far better then the other options we have in the area. i haven't been to vancouver general myself so i cannot speak for it, but if it wasn't for quick action and obviously far better knowledge then the staff at Hop Hospital, my grandfather would be dead. He was ill and in a severe amount of pain in his abdomen. he went to HH 5 days in a row, each day waiting anywhere from 5 to 8 hours to get looked at, Just to be sent home again 5 min later. day 3 he falls on way to HH, and hits his head, they think he is senile and old doesnt know what hes talking about, Day 5 comes, he gets rushed from HH to CGH and doc there find he has severe namonia and a burst apendix. They rushed him in for emerge surgery and removed the apendix and an abcest that was right beside it. they cleaned out infection from everything being in thete for a day or 2 (whenever it burst), and for past 6 day since he has been there hes been slowly recovering back to normal, yes hes been heavily medicated for his pain, so hes been quite out of it. The staff have all been great from what i personally have seen and from what he remembers when we are not there. they feed him, help him move and monitor him hourly, thats all i can really ask for at the moment and those requirements are being met. he doesn't like most of the food they bring him, but he is kind of picky. The nurses have had there hans quite full pastcweek that ive been there, and some tjings have taken longer to get completed then we were originally told. example, was supposed to get ct sxan day 2 didn't get it till day 3, nurse says shes going to get meds comes back in an hour to 2 hours. but i get it, that small area has 30 or so patients at any given time. So id like to shout out to CGH @ ChilliwackGeneralHospital keep up the great work and keep training all the mixed race interns, they seem to have great attitudes towards patients. On that note, if you want to die quickly, head on over to your good old Hope Hospital, the place with no equipment for saving a life.

6 hours in and was in my 3rd waiting room. Needed xrays but the xray waiting room seemed to have no doctor-patient confidentiality whatsoever because theyd come up to you and discuss your issues in front of literally everyone else. No idea what that was about

Took a friend here who had all symptoms of internal infection. Every other clinic shut due to being sunday. No other choice. He was in severe pain, suffering, fever on and off. After 4 hours of waiting, no bloodwork done, doctor took the pulse and told him to go home. Unbelieveable lack of care. That doctor worked Feb 21, 2021 between noon and 4 pm and failed to treat my friend, should have his license to practice removed. DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY! Save your time and wait for any other place to be open. Hope it didnt have to do with my friend being First Nations.

This hospital is poorly funded and as a result you can only expect the worst quality of care. The medical staff here are short on experience and training. If you can avoid CGH and drive west to another hospital it will be more beneficial to your health and outcome.

Wait times are extremely long with nurses and clerks complaining about there job and the people in the line up for everyone to hear. Very unprofessional. Wasnt impressed with the doctor either, rushing me and not listening to what I have to say. I've also had one good doctor while I was there but more bad than good.

Laura Loeppky

I DREAD going to the hospital truly DREAD it! But when I am honest with the registration nurse in ER she is VERY helpful! I do want to me to mention the time I brought my 26 year old son into the ER, he has autism and is very high functioning at this time he was septic with a very bad infection. The dr was absolutely amazing with him. Explaining everything to my son in his own language, video games. It was magical how fast the dr knew what to say and how to bring my son comfort in a very bad situation. I tired to write the local newspaper a d they didnt publish my thank you letter to the dr and staff! I do hope they know how much it meant!

Shocking and horrible treatment at this hospital. Treated with no empathy just a number go stand in line. Friend was choking having a lot of breathing problems. Very scary. No one would help. Was told to wait in line.

Kieran L

After waiting in emergency triage for 4 hours I decided to leave and go without treatment. Waste of time. Probably 12-18 people in front of me in the "lower priority" part of triage and for the several hours I was waiting NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THIS SECTION WAS TREATED! I felt sorry for the 4-year old girl with a broken collarbone, the lady with a broken ankle, the gentlemen with the large cut and the other with the burn - they had all been there much longer without treatment as well. Although high-priority patients came and went (drug over-doses and the such) I felt like this hospital does not meet the minimum with regards to treatment capacity and wait times. Fraser Health needs to be more accountable.

Alicia Butler

The worst hospital I’ve ever been too, slow, unkind, unhelp

Gwen G

The nurses, tech's and doctor's are first rate. The problem is that the emergency area is not organized.

Great place didn’t have to wait to long
