(Translated) I very rarely go to the emergency room having the chance to have a md who gives appointments the same day ... but if we are caught going (to the emergency room) at night at the end of the evening, well we spend the whole night there (I had opened my knee) ... knowing that, I will not go in the evening or at night!

(Translated) Avoid this hospital and go to CHUS-FLEURIMONT Experiences in the emergency room: - Waiting time can go to 8 p.m. - Some Nurses have hearts of steel, and carry out some sorting. There is an inf. who gave superracist comments as if we are beggars. -The Doctors depend on your luck: I met a doctor who prescribed me antibiotics without waiting for results which were negative, other doctors were acceptable for the diagnosis of minor problems.

(Translated) I never thought I would have to give an opinion on a hospital but I had such a good experience (apart from the pain ^^). I arrived at 4am by ambulance, so immediate support, a lot of attention from the nurses, always a kind word or a little glance to check that everything was fine. On a normal opinion I would say that I would come back with pleasure but obviously I would like to avoid coming back too quickly .. Thank you again for their professionalism. As well as a big thank you to the 2 paramedics for their speed and help.

(Translated) If you want to die sooner than expected, this is the place to go! Incompetence rivals inertia in services, but the common thread between them is inhumanity. The only service that works well is paid parking, beware if you don't pay upon arrival. (Translated) One of the worst hospitals for the wait. Doctors seem to be sleeping on their shifts, nothing is moving in the waiting rooms or in the beds. The cleanliness often leaves something to be desired with blood that can stay on the ground for a long time. The complaints department is not reachable and they don't even give the right email addresses to reach them with complaints. Just as they provide a fake contact address for the Québec Ombudsman. I can't wait for the Citizen's Protector to analyze their case.

(Translated) Incredibly unpleasant experience in the emergency room. Note that the nurse at triage (evenings during the week) is as condescending as in the wrong branch; to pass very derogatory comments on a patient in real psychological / physical distress is in my opinion a serious professional misconduct. If the emergency is not visible, open fracture type, ipso facto you become a "code 5" (after 10 hours of waiting, in a deteriorating state, I was told that if a miracle occurs, maybe a doctor would see me ... in the morning, so 7-8 hours later.) the triage nurses are obviously absolutely not qualified to make a relevant sort.

When I can get an appointment the doctors are wonderful and polite. However the nurses and secretaries are far from English friendly. All of the automated messages other than for the appointment center are all in French and spoken so fast that they are unintelligible to someone who knows a little bit of French. Been on a waiting list to see a psych for a very important reason that I can not list here. Had to to pay to see a psych for said condition elsewhere and I am STILL on the waiting list with no word from the hospital. I was put on a "waiting list" to see a physical therapist for my back after a trip to the ER 3 years ago and I have yet to hear from anyone about it. I was scheduled for surgery on my ankle and I was prepped and waiting in preop for over 12 hours and was told an hour and a half after my surgery was supposed to be that it was cancelled and that I could go home. I have had plenty more bad experiences in this place than I would like to to list here. Enough that I now dread needing to go to the hospital out of fear of being ignored or worse.

(Translated) Going around in circles for 15-20 minutes to find a place it's a bit special for a hospital I would say ... moreover I finally found a place but did not see the written word "permit holder", I just basically saw “reserved”. I thought it was for visitors only. I paid for my seat but ended up with a ticket. Is it time to expand this parking lot or create a new one in the basement ..?

(Translated) Summary of my experience. I never thought that I could have an opinion on the hospital. Here is a summary of my experience in February. Please be indulgent and patient with the staff. In winter there is an increase in the number of patients and there are employees who are also sick. Despite this, others work more hours trying to serve as many patients as possible. I have noticed employees doing 2 shifts in a row, others arriving earlier or even leaving later to fill in the gaps. I arrived in the emergency room and was met quickly enough to establish my level vis-à-vis the other cases of the moment. I then waited a few hours at the start, but when the emergency overflows and the ambulances arrive, even if you have excruciating pain (in my case), you are sometimes given less priority. Then I was taken care of. I was transferred from the CHUS to the Hôtel-Dieu because it is the center which is specialized for my state of health. I then spent a few days in intensive care and then in a specialized department. I would like to thank all the staff who have helped me improve my health. Even if we forget the first names of the people who take care of us, I noticed their dedication, their passion to help patients one person at a time. Good success for the rest of your work which is not easy and yet so precious. Thank you! Merci!

(Translated) Karine the fine. Last Thursday - (March 9) - I had to go to the emergency room at CHUS / H.-D. due to various ailments. Among the good care received and tests carried out, I found one more "sweet" than the others. This is the X-ray section, where I was cordially and warmly welcomed with eagerness by a Karine as friendly as dynamic, as diligent as effective and with a touch of 'fairy' !, to be nevertheless managed so quickly to position myself properly despite my heavy, stiff stiffness… The rest of the ‘staff’ around did the ‘job’ too. And they too at almost Olympic speed. Incredible the rate at which so many patients succeed each other in this enclosure. One thing is for sure, no one could say that we are "sucking the donut"! Last summer, in August, having been taken by ambulance to the CHUS / (Fleurimont this time), I was accompanied and followed all night by two French nurses. Who, too, had the touch or the approach most prone to reassure and thus make almost pleasant my brief stay, which was not, however, one likely to promote pleasant ‘feeling’. Again, half a year later, the day before yesterday (September 23), my mother was treated there, in the emergency care unit during the day, with great attention by another very fine one. .. Karine, nurse.

I would give it five stars, however the staff needs more English because it's hard to communicate with them when French is not your 1st language. It feels like the staff is angry with you because you can't understand or ask questions in French. The doctor was good and one nurse was wonderful at psychological emergency however the other staff should be better in English. Because of that I give 2 stars not five. Are physical and mental health issues are important and we need English-speaking, please. My French is not that good to understand 100%..

Months and months of waiting to see a specialist (it seems no matter the field), the time to be seen by a specialist is so long that it is more (and to avoid nervous breakdown and stress) simple to go to a private clinic. (Translated) My girlfriend had a seizure during the night and I went to take her to the emergency room. She was throwing up, could only not move and she would lose blood through her vaginal part. She was in intense pain and even passed out during the wait. It took about 5 hours before she was seen by a doctor. The reasons for which I give two stars are that, the employees present seemed to get carried away and did not want to give her any medication other than Tynenols to calm her pain and that they badly evaluated my girlfriend, because the employees thought that 'she just had gastro. When the doctor was finally able to see her, he was able to see that she had an extopic pregnancy: a fetus had torn her deceived and she was bleeding internally. It didn't take 30 minutes and she was already transferred to Chus Fleurimont for an emergency operation. She had lost a lot of blood and if she had waited long it could have caused her death. I understand that those who work in hospitals have a very difficult job and that it is difficult for me to judge their work. Me and my wife don't hold a grudge against the hospital workers, but I believe they should have more compassion at least with someone who is in pain and have more careful examinations.
