Had to take my infant to Emerg. There was absolutely no parking except a handicapped. I asked the receptionist to let anyone know that might be looking for the driver that I was in Emerg. She said she couldn't remember that..... I get to Emerg desk the nurse is eating in the cupboard, comes over with a full mouth asking what I want.....

Wow. These people are AMAZING! I have had horrific experiences in Edmonron & Calgary hospitals,watching my grandparents great-gramdparents suffer needlessly in dank, dirty and undignified conditions. This is not the case in Olds. I was nervous when they booked me put here for my surgery, but I was wrong. This place is a world-class facility, the staff are exceptional and the amenities superb. If you ever get the chance admit yourself to Olds. It is comparable to Leduc & Camrose, must be something about smaller centres because these guys ROCK!

Two of the nurses were absolutely amazing, cheerful,helpful and an all around pleasure to be with but the third missed my vein for an iv,continued to poke around in the same spot for a minute. got mad at me for "delaying other patients" by putting on some quiet music(I am very afraid of needles and I just need it to calm me down and it took 30 seconds to play). Got mad at me for swearing after my surgery cause I was in pain and made me WALK to go to the bathroom and declined to help me not put weight on my foot and actually told me to out weight on it ( mind you this is after my ACL surgery reconstruction surgery and I am not supposed to walk for at least 2 weeks). I was in extreme pain and cried about 8 times and was swearing(not at her just in general) but apparently my extreme pain is no reason for swearing and I can't believe that she would be so disinterested in what the patient feels and is experiencing. I came down from a different city just to get this surgery and am very dissapointed that I was treated like this.

I came into Emergency, and the nurses were so kind and understanding with me. I got in to see the doctor right away with virtually no wait time. They checked on me frequently as I waited and made sure I was comfortable.

Yesterday I went to have my wrist operated on It was my first time. I must say and affirm something The whole team was really Awesome. All were very professional and attentive. If I had to get treatment again I would like it to be there. The Frenchy

I had a day surgery here, with a pre-surgery appt a week prior. ALL of the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. It was by far the best hospital experience to date. The nurses were kind and comforting, and actually listened and did everything they could to help.

Check in lady was very nice but once we got to the emergency check in the lady was rude and inconsiderate. She was sassy, disrespectful and all around a terrible person to be working in a hospital setting.

I had knee surgery yesterday. I was a baby but they were amazing. I want to thank Dr Wolsteuholme, Tara, Cindy, Courtney, Steve, Colleen and I know I'm forgetting some names but to be fair, I was pretty out of it. Thank you for being so friendly and accommodating.

emergency room is terrible. waiting for 2 hours to even get seen by a nurse and then waited another 2 hours for the doctor to see us (which he didnt so we ended up walking out). the nurses in emergency DO NOT care about you. the doctors in emergency DO NOT care about you. The nurses are busy chatting with each other not bothering to actually do their job while the doctor is the exact same. The whole time waiting in the back room for a doctor to see me I watched him walk in and out of the lunch room, then call his mother to have a chat. FOR HOURS. this is not a lunch break. absolutely fed up with this service. id recommend going to didsbury hospital instead, they will see you much faster and will actually do their job.

Literally been sitting here for two hours with my mother who has been here TWICE this week for pain. She recently had tubes put in her ears and one of them is infected. The nurse this time refused to go get her file from 2 days ago and hasn't been to check on her since. I can see 4 nurses from the door and not one of them will even acknowledge that we are in here. She has described the pain as "worse than 22 hours of labour on her daughter (me)" and they haven't given her anything for it at all. Not even a blanket in this ice box.

I so had the privilege of having a surgery at the Olds Hospital today, and I can't even begin to say how much I loved everyone there and the quality of care was superb! The professionalism was amazing and I sincerely want everyone at this hospital to get a raise! Great job, was a pleasure being there today ❤

Do not go here period, the nurses don’t care about anything except themselves, you wait for long periods of time to see someone even when there’s no one else in the waiting room or the back. Don’t waste your time here. I’ve gone here many time and all of them have been bad experiences.

Came here for the first time as my boyfriend was feeling incredibly ill. Walked in, and the check in nurse was rude. Waited to be seen by a nurse who was writing on a piece of paper towel [how unprofessional] to get his information down. And then when I asked to use the washroom, [Im very pregnant] the nurses had to HAVE A DISCUSSION on what bathroom I was allowed to use. My poor bf is in incredible pain and all I can hear outside the room is chatting and laughing, as if this is a freakin club. This will be my labour and delivery place for me and my baby but I now I feel very uneasy going back here.

Went to emergency to get checked out. Got laughed at by the nurse that said I was too contagious to be there and I could wait there for a bit to be seen. Isn’t that what they are there for? Was told I should go to a clinic. Got a later appointment at a clinic. Thanks for nothing

I had knee surgery on Oct 4, 2021. From the moment I walked in the entire staff was very accommodating. The nurses were caring and thoughtful putting me at ease by treating me like a person not a number. They even had pre-heated blankets. The team was very thorough ensuring nothing was missed and that I was educated and had post operation paperwork to take home with me. My only complaint is that they don't keep you in longer as I don't get treated like this at home...LOL. GREAT EXPERIENCE...THANK-YOU!!! ????

Worst hospital I have ever been to. Do not go to the ER during the night if you need urgent care, the doctor will not come in for hours.

Started off good when first using them. Was just in tonight for almost 2hours waiting. Derogatory comments, lazy nurses . What happened Olds? You treat my migraines good now your total dum dums. Apparently a kid with a rash is more important than any adult with major pain and or sick. Complete b.s old lady nurse at triage is the worst!

The doctor is loud enough the entire emergency room can hear your personal problems. The nursing staff is constantly fighting, and bickering with one another. One specific nurse was especially rude when i asked a question, but i didn’t get her name. The wait time wasn’t so bad as there were bigger emergencies arriving as i was there - however no one told me when to leave. But the loud doctor spoke about being sued in front of the entire staff emergency room. Not an overly good experience.

Had a procedure there and was a pleasant expirience through the day surgery. Had some issues with the ER though. One nurse in particular seems to have a poor attitude, appears lazy and at times spiteful. But from most expiriences with my sick pregnant wife the ER is very lacking in competency or ugrency. Twice had some major complications with lazy diagnosing, and the wait times are usually frustrating with no any real explanations. One time in particular, the doctor came to check why the results hadn't come in yet and was due to the nurses not putting the paperwork through for over 2 hours, all the while the nurses were joking up front and talking. I'm all for having a good time at work but you should still be doing your job especially when my tax dollars are supposed to be used for these purposes.

Went in for day surgery. All the nurses and staff members were super helpful and friendly. Made you feel comfortable and at home. Had a few different surgeries in different hospitals and this was overall my best experience.
