Great team! Seemingly happy to be at work despite these crazy times. In and out in a timely manner. Surgery went very well. Very easy to navigate! Free parking and located centrally in town.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! THE WORST NURSES WORK HERE! Hinton is the armpit of Medicare. Low class nurses with low class attitudes and low class hospital care. I was just a number to them. I have never been treated so badly in my life. Within 24 hours of me having surgery they quit bringing me Tylenol... I have no idea why? Lazy or too busy? But yes I went without any painkillers after having a major surgery here! I also had to share a room with a 90 year old woman who kept poohing everywhere. It was so bad I could not stop vomiting ( not good after an abdominal surgery). By noon the next day the entire room and bathroom had been soiled. I could no longer be in my room or use the bathroom. My family helped me into a chair in the main entrance and that is where I had to stay until someone cleaned the room which was past 3pm. In the middle of the night I awoke to this woman doing something to my iv machine. Scary! I couldnt even defend myself because I couldnt sit up. I wanted to call an ambulance for myself while I was there. I wasn't allowed any friends or family to help me. They all got kicked out when visiting hours are over. Then they let you lay there in excruciating pain while they make fun of you at the nurses station. So I wanted to leave and go to another hospital!!!! Well they wanted me to sign a paper while I was still impaired from anesthetic saying I understood the dangers of leaving... what about the dangers in staying? If I did not sign the paper they were going to phone the police on me. So I had no bed or bathroom or proper care or pain killers, no family allowed to help, no leaving or you are going to jail... all within 24 hours of my major surgery. I felt like a hostage who has no human rights!!!!!. What kind of an institution is this place? Why would the nurses not follow the doctors care plan? Why would they just make up there own? Why would they not even bring a Tylenol to a patient who just had surgery??? Oh ya they are nurses so they don't even have to answer those questions! They are above everyone... they don't care about their patients... they act like they bought the Tylenol themselves and if they don't like you... you don't get any! I am devastated and traumatized by my stay at the Hinton Hospital. How dare they threaten to call the cops on me for wanting to go somewhere else with a bed and a bathroom and get some help! What are the cops going to do? Take me and all my stitches with blood leaking everywhere to the clink?????????? That is some real stellar nursing! Izabelle, Emma, and Bridget! But truly if the Hinton jail has a bed and a toilet it would have been better for me. I will die before I ever go to Hinton Hospital again. This hospital and these nurses should be legally responsible if I suffer ptsd or a bladder/bowel issues from this treatment.

This is the most terrible healthcare centre in the province in my opinion. unless you go in there knowing exactly what your diagnosis is, you will not be treated with respect and decency of any kind. The doctors, as well as the nurses, refuse to do the proper tests to diagnose you. I went in there a few years ago with a BROKEN ANKLE and they sent me home, refusing to do an x-ray. Now I have an effusion of two of the bones in my ankle ( that means they are growing together). I also went in there twice telling them that I was having a mental health crisis, I could not keep my heart rate down without the beat of music, they did a heart rate monitor while the music was off and my heart rate skyrocketed and with the music it was within normal range. Each time I hadn't slept in over 100 hours and they sent me home without any sleep meds or any recommendations. I was so anxious I couldn't sit still and I was really worried. They did not care and told me nothing was wrong. When my mother finally called the police because she was so worried about my mental health, then and only then did they send me to Edmonton for a mental health assessment. They are extremely incompetent, and unless you are dying, I would suggest driving to Edson to be seen by proper healthcare professionals. My friend has just been to this awful institution, she has 9/10 of the symptoms of appendicitis and the doctor took her urine, told her it was completely normal, looked at her ultrasound from 4 years ago when she was pregnant and told her to take some antibiotics that she had kidney stones. They should have taken an ultrasound then and there to rule out the possibility of appendicitis, and yet somehow her ultrasound from 4 years ago was more relevant. Now, 20 hours later she is in extreme pain and has had to visit a hospital in Edmonton where I suspect she will be treated with an laparoscopic appendectomy. After the 48 hour mark with appendicitis, the risk of rupture and following septicaemia and death is much more. No thanks to the Doctors and front line healthcare staff at the Hinton Healthcare Centre, they are so disgustingly unprofessional and inadequate that I honestly think the whole staff needs to be fired and the institution restarted from scratch.

Caring people. Thank you for taking good care of my family!

Very disappointed with here. Called to find out how much a pelvic ultrasound would be for a out of country patient. Was told $180 but on the day of appointment I found out that I had been misinformed and it would be $450. Mistakes happen but this is unfair.

my friend get injured on Canada day so we went to the ER wait time was very very short and they ended up helping her in no time ! I know that in emergencies you won't be prepared to bring anything to keep you busy while you wait in the waiting room but having a charged phone would be a good idea & no wifi

Was brought in after a minor quad accident. The nurses were very quick and understanding of how much pain I was in. The X-ray tech that did all my scans was exceptional! She allowed my boyfriend to be in the room (move when the x Ray was being taken) to help me reposition as I could barley sit up on my own. I was given two IVs while here before being sent to the city and each time it was only one poke and we were done. It shows how much they know/enjoy their job.

Had 3 children born here. Staff have all been great In dealing with that. Had one scare with my asthma that wasn't handled as well but aside from one particular staff member, the rest of my experiences at the hospital have been great

Most of the nurses hate their lives and the doctors are a whole other breed of entitlement, I've heard some of the most repulsive things come out of their mouths. You literally have to be dying of cancer for them to listen to you unless it's an obvious issue like maybe an athabascan tiger shark bit your leg off.
