You will be able to see all the information of real people who bought the services of Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital (Hospital) in Alberta territory (Canada).
As of day this firm has a rating of 2.9 stars over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is discreet, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their review when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to write reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Hospital belongs to the category of Emergency care service.
The staff were all nice and checked on me in the waiting room about every 30 mins, once I got to see a doctor they were very nice to deal with, I required stitches and needles and they made it as painless as possible. Yes I had to wait, I wasn't in risk, or distress, I know there is a triage system in place it's a hospital not a Denny's. So it's not first come first served. All in all I gave it a 4 only because in the waiting room the TV was playing 50 shades of grey, and I found that inappropriate for a hospital.
Be ready to wait 4+ hours just to get into a room and wait even more
Came here after my family doctor as well as the after hours doctor told me I absolutely needed to go in for a CT scan after 9 days of 9/10 pain migraines endlessly. After waiting in the waiting room for 3 hours with 2 others in, a girl with a sprain got in first. Because I am tattooed, I am always judged. It wasn't "do you do drugs?" it was "how often?" I don't do drugs. I had severe tunnel vision, nausea, dehydration, dizziness and horrific pain. Could hardly walk. Was diagnosed with a headache, after being told by 2 doctors I need a CT immediety to rule out possibilities. I was nedied the CT. In addition the nurse informed me my pupils were very dialated and she needed to make a note. Nothing was done except "pain management", which I could have gone to my family doctor for. Very very unimpressed, to say the least.
I would rather die on my way to another hospital.
The triage staff was kind and quick . The emergency nurses and doctor where great and prompt . The OR staff was amazing . This hospital was clean , I had an unexpected surgery and the staff was beyond helpful and amazing . I had a private room . Thank You to the staff for making a less than ideal Christmas Eve the best it could be .
Great staff in all departments! Very helpful & positive.
Before i share my negative experience, I would like to thank the nurse who took care of me on my first visit (dark haired lady, slim, wears eyeliner) and the ultrasound technician who was nice and gentle (short haired blonde lady). You two are the only ones who made my visit positive. So, my initial visit at the ER was great. Second visit (related to the initial one), not so much. The doctor (Asian) was irritated when he got confused by what the nurse charted and what i said to him when I met him. Apparently, there was a miscommunication - I have been telling the same story 5 times or more to at least 5 different people, there was no issue till he came (told me that i told the nurse my pain was worsening, i got confused and reiterated what i have been telling other people - he seemed not convinced idk why-- clearly someone needs to improve their assessment/documentation skills). after few assessments, same doctor wanted to do more test and refer me to the OB resident (i assume); I asked if I could have my OB, he seemed upset when i asked that because he immediately dismissed me (after he said I could, did not give me chance to think properly, he immediately said he's gonna cancel all the supposed to be further tests that needs to be done; also when he said i could go to my OB, he reminded me of the pain that i will feel while im waiting to be seen - understandable but the way he said it made me feel uncomfortable). bottomline, it felt like he wanted to get rid of me right away for wanting to have my OB take care of me instead of a new OB. knowledge/skills wise, he is a great doctor. he just lacks the empathy/nonjudgmental attitude. (sigh) What happened today made me really upset that i cant just brush it off.
Was there this morning and was able to be seen right away. Very good caring staff. Thank you!
Came in to try and get my ears flushed after suffering from headaches for a week, and would have gone to a walk in clinic, except they are all closed by the time I'm off work. Was told that was "inappropriate" despite willing to wait as long as it took. Will now just have to deal with this for another week.
Went here today for cataract and vision correction surgery, and was so surprised by the beautiful cosy building, the staff at reception and then the staff in day surgery. It was a marvelous experience. I'm very appreciative of the kindness shown to everyone and the speedy service.

My doctor sent me to the ER for testing. I sat in the hospital for 6 hours waiting for them to tell me what is wrong, they couldn't figure anything out and the doctor kept asking me if I was in a abusive relationship sayin that my issues could be from stress an being abused. I told her I'm not being abused but seems like that was the focus of everything. Around 9pm I asked the nurse to take the IV out of my arm because I couldn't feel it or move it and it was freaking me out. The nurse became very ignorant towards me saying she needed the doctor to tell her to do it. When I talked to the doctor about how rude the nurse was the doctor ended up taking the IV out herself and she said it wasnt her job and she didnt know what she was doing. Also one of the nurses stuck me twice with the IV needles and popped one of my veins its like she did the blind man's jab. So she ended up getting another nurse to do it. I left in more pain than when I went into the hospital. I had to go back to get some ultra sounds done, I feel like she was the nicest nurse that had helped me in the 2 days I was there. What I'm tired of at being at hospitals is the nurses being rude acting like they cant do anything wrong. If you're going to be a nurse working with people than you should be polite and courteous, you choose a job working with people so you should treat everyone nicely, it's not like us patients want to he at the hospital. So this one star is for the nurse that did my ultra sound!
I would not suggest stepping foot in this emerge. Husband had severe migraine for 4 days with dizziness, nausea, pain in eyes and jaw, severe sensitivity to light. He saw family doctor who wrote a note and instructed us to go to emerge for testing and CT. He gave the note to admitting and waited 3 hours before seeing a doctor who then told him it's a headache caused from neck tension. At this point we knew we had to go to a real hospital. They did not give him the note back. Went in to ask for it and they said they couldn't find it in the room and asked him where he left it. He said he gave it to admitting when he checked in so they looked again and said receptionist does not remember getting the note and it is gone. They then said "sorry" and that was it. This suggests also that they do not care about written notes from doctors and did not even review it. Which is probably why they just said it's a headache. Waste of time and very saddened by the lack of effort for the patient considering how long he waited with no other patients in the waiting room. Trust your body and your instincts and go to a hospital you can trust.
First patient in line at 4am. 2.5 hours later I'm still waiting to see a doctor. Horrible!!!
Brought my 6 month old son in and everyone was so nice.
Wonderful hospital. Beautiful made for comfort. I had both my kids here. The nursing staff is wonderful! I would recommed this hospital to anyone!
Staff is 5 stars
Switchboard staff are completely unprofessional, ignorant & rude!! I called to ask if I needed to register before going to the lab and they told me that they couldn't answer the question, I believe it is part of their job!! absolutely ridiculous.
Its a joke nobody in waiting room ive been here for hours like what one person works here. Worst hospital ever all u see is people who work here just walking around and sitting on computers looking at internet. No wonder healthcare has taken a dive when you got crap like this going on wish i could get paid to sit on internet and do nothing all day only gave one star cause u cant give zero stars
Worst of the worst in waiting time! Been waiting in the waiting area for 3 hrs and decided to leave the hospital not seeing a doctor as we were still 2nd on the list then probably gonna be waiting for an hour or 2 in the Emergency room.
Very bad hospital, i don’t recommend anyone to go there. I went there with my baby at 2pm until 10pm I didn’t see the doctor I went back home. It’s better to go to Edmonton
Went in for a UTI and after waiting for 2hr, overheard the nurses say they lost my sample, look out behind the curtains and they're all waiting around chatting about their week. Kind of want to go home now if you don't mind, please.
Came here for gallbladder surgery, doctors were professional and nurses and staff were friendly.
Long wait times. But good staff
Very very long long wait
The wait time is ridiculous for ER. If you live in Fort Saskatchewan you'd spend less time driving out to an actual hospital that had friendly and approachable staff and doctors that don't just work in a clinic and show up hours after they're expected.
Really disappointed. Brought my 9 year from xray. Our visit started out great. The triage nurse amd admin was fantastic and we got shown to room very quickly. Had xtays within an hour of arriving. But now we've been sitting for over an hour waiting for the results of the xray. The patient whom came in 30 min ago, in the room next to us, has already had his xrays, been given the results and been discharged, while my 9 year old still waits. This is ridiculous! So we found out from a nurse that they have had our xray results since 11:23am. That is over an hour since our xrays were taken. It's now 12:05 and we've finally been told our results with a lot of pushing, but it's broken and they now need to come up with a "plan"
Great facility! I took my mom here for her cataract surgery. They strictly observe Covid19 health precautions. There are very visible floor stickers in the waiting area to remind people of social distancing. Very clean facility. All the staff we encountered here were so professional and very pleasant, as they should be, right? Wish I could say the same about the Misericordia and the U of A :(
Went to do a sigmoidosocopy What a joke 21 hours with no food. I can't even get an IV while I wait for the procedure. Almost 3 hours waiting
Great staff helped make my two cataract operation experiences a lot less stressful than I anticipated. Terrific attitudes from all that I dealt with.... Thank you.
We have had to use the ER a few times in the past few years. Yes the wait times are super long, which we knew about before arriving as this is a community hospital with fewer doctors on staff. But once seen they were very attentive and helpful. We also plan on delivering our first baby here :)
Dont waste your time coming here. The staff is rude and only cares about you if your basically dying in their ER. They will also make you feel bad for seeking medical advice at 4 am when you scared your throat is closing up. Go to Strathcona or Sturgeon. They are more helpful and have a proper bedside manner.
They are good but long waits if dr isnt there and gets called in
I think people forget to leave positive comments and only come here when they are dissatisfied. I had day surgery there today and the staff were all amazing. Absolutely nothing to complain about. It's a tough job- especially during a pandemic. Thanks for all you do.
Testing here is quick & efficient! Very friendly staff!
When i bring my here because if chest pain and body weakness /numbness, they prioritized him. Doctor checked him right away and request all the test needed. Awesome & friendly staff, excellent service. They're all very accommodating although my Dad is just on visitors visa. Treat him well especially Dr. Orth. More power and God speed.
Horrible experience tonight!!! My Granddaughter (3) was here last night and the Doctor was Awesome even though it took 7hours..He wanted more tests at Stollery so we did that today and then was told to go back to Fort hospital to hear the results.. So far 4 1/2 hours later and we still haven't seen the DOCTOR
Giving ☆☆☆☆☆ to the Radiologist staff, Ian has left a great impression on my lil 5 yr old son. He broke his arm in October and we went in today for a possible foot fracture and he remembered Ian and asked where he was. (He was on his lunch break) After his break Ian heard my lil boy was asking for him. He found us in ER and brought him a couple extra stickers..its these tiny acts of kindness that make the wait worth while. Also, while waiting in the waiting area an older gentleman was waiting to be seen. He was diabetic. The nurse came out and check on him and made him toast with Jam and some juice. She was very concerned as he hadnt ate and it would be a while before there was a room. Just lil things like this makes me love this lil hospital. Now the wait is usually long so i will give ☆☆. But most times its worth the wait
Worst ER department ever. Wait times are in excess of 6 hours or more. The doctors in the ER are not ER doctors, they work in clinics and decide if they will come in or not. As a community, we need to be writing the Hospital Director to complain and have proper ER doctors on call. Most people who live in Fort Saskatchewan do not even both with the ER department here. The nurses are rude. It may say online that wait times are only 1 hour, but guaranteed you will wait four or more hours. Many complaints of people passing out after waiting excessively at this hospital. Recommend you go to any other ER hospital in the area, except for this one. Terrible. They should be ashamed. **Note** The rest of the hospital, outside of the ER department, has good reports and the nurses and staff are way better. The issues reside with the Emergency Department and staff
Very good service.
I had my hernia operation here today and I have to say how well organized the staff were. First time there as I'm used to edmonton hospitals. It wasn't a hectic hospital where you could feel the stress from everyone like most. The nurses and doctors that I seen around were all super friendly and with great energy. Thanks for the easier day with surgery!
Been waiting over 2 hours for a dressing change from a surgery I had on Thursday (today is Saturday) and I can't sit for long periods of time after this surgery, which they knew. Still had me sitting for over 2 hours with only 3 people in the waiting room, almost empty parking lot. Then after waiting, they stick me in a dirty room with wet spots and human hair all over the bed, for a dressing change on a fresh incision. Disgusting! I am NEVER going back and I strongly recommend nobody else does either. It's a joke of a hospital!
Stay Away from this So called Hospital the staff are useless .
Really hard to rate the overall experience. Girlfriend had to come here in an ambulance in extreme pain. Paramedics were fantastic. All of them were really nice and I appreciate everything they do. They took fantastic care of her when we called 911 and during the ambulance trip. They were opening the front door before I was off the phone. You 3 are amazing and I appreciate everything you do. Nurses were fantastic. I wasn't allowed to go in and see her due to COVID restrictions, but the lady nurse who was dealing with her came up to grab all the stuff I dropped off for her to make sure she had everything. Really polite, friendly, and explained what was going on. Definitely appreciate this at 3am. Doctors were hit and miss. First doctor was incredibly disrespectful to her and acted as though she was being a "dramatic woman". Odds are, if someone calls 911 and a woman doesn't cover herself up there's a real problem. He essentially explained nothing, talked down to her, and said "you're not dying, so you're free to go" while she is unable to walk due to pain. Girlfriend asked for another doctor. Next doctor came in, explained everything, told her what was going on, why, and proposed next steps so she could go see a physician and have the issue permanently resolved. Much more polite, much better information, and generally great. To the first doctor, get out of medical, you are the reason many people despise many medical staff; you obviously don't care about helping people and it shows. To the second doctor, I appreciate you taking the 3-5 minutes needed to go over everything and make sure my girlfriend was ok.
Waited forever to see a doctor
Worst hospital I've ever been too . More uncompassionate , unattentive staff . Dirty facility , rude nurses .... would NEVER go back unless I was unconcoious and taken against my will or knowledge
Had my tonsils out and my throat was bleeding to the point of concern . Went into the ER ended up waiting 4 hours . They ended up helping some meth tweaker before me , I’m underage .
Had my baby here. Beautiful maternity ward. One old nurse was annoying but everyone else was great. Allowed me great freedom to walk around as I laboured.
Have been here for both a birth and an emergency. The nurses were absolutely exceptional and caring for my birth, a better experience by far than my first baby at a different hospital. For my emergency, I did have to wait a few hours as there was only one doctor working that evening. The admitting nurses were very friendly and understanding. I was a little upset with my treatment from the doctor. I came in for a deep cut on my finger. The doctor seemed to disregard my pain when applying the alcohol to the cut to clean it. He also seemed annoyed when I was physically reacting to the pain, his bedside manner was definitely not great but he could have been having a long night. The vending machines say they take debit and credit but all of my cards have been declined on the machines, not sure why. As well I wish the confectionary would be open longer.
Extremely fast, nurses are so caring, funny, kind, Doctors were very educated and prompt with treatment. Went to Emergency at 3 am with breathing problems and chest pain and a swollen throat. I’m a second year nursing student, and was expecting a bit of a wait, as that is pretty common in hospitals, especially when it’s not a dire health issue. But no! I was seen so quickly, treated appropriately, diagnosed with mono in under an hour, and already being transfused with medication before 5am! The doctor was super quick even though he was busy, and yes, we did wait a little while - but that’s what HAPPENS in a HOSPITAL where people who are in need of more medical attention that YOU are. Have an open mind about this place. Seriously. Went to other hospitals recently and was treated with some of the worst service of my life and would only come back here. My nurse was talkative, made me feel calm, empathetic, caring and just overall made me feel like I deserved to be taken care of. Can’t say that about Strathcona Medical Center, that’s for sure! Got prescribed some medication and educated about what was happening, extremely satisfied with the service, COVID precautions included, and would definitely go back.
Really nice nurses but waited over 4 hours to get a check up on my foot...
Was here today for my son’s surgery! They took away all my worries and fears and turned my little man into a very brave man!! Thank you Dr. Swena, Dr. Iris (my son loves your choo ???? ), Dr.Lin, and Nurse Melanie and all other staff for making things so comfortable and comforting. Thank you for being so passionate in what you do! You guys deserve more than 5 ⭐️s!! God bless your hearts and sending y’all a Merry, merry Christmas and Happy New Years ????
Other hospitals are worth the wait to ensure you receive proper care. Listening to the medical assistant gossip about clients - doesn’t make people feel taken care of. It just feels very uncomfortable, especially when she is talking about how she told a woman her mom died, yelled at her family and then learned that the mom didn’t actually die.. and she was laughing about it (honestly, wild) When you ask people to remove their own masks, wash or sanitize your own hands first and do not touch the inside of the mask.. The front desk medical assistant was very immature and the staff in general spend more time gossiping then checking on patients. We can all hear what’s being said, and often the information being relayed is bias and unfounded. Each staff member kept adding onto and dramatizing each persons concerns like a game of telephone high school edition. It was honestly, realllly strange. When I finally saw the doctor he realized you could visibly see my concerns, that no one else even wanted to see and that my concerns were unrelated to what the staff had gossiped about. However, the diagnoses I received was inaccurate. I got home and had to decipher my own blood work and the staff missed a really big indicator on my blood work. Not sure if they just didn’t review it but it is a quite serious issue and is directly related to the concerns I came in with. Honestly, all of it was quite alarming and unprofessional.
The day surgery staff are amazing the receptionists were friendly and the nurses were incrediable they made my nice and comfortable they were also very helpful they went above and beyond i just had surgery aug 20..also i wanna give dr farooq a big thank you he was my surgeon and was incredible also made it very comfortable and more easy for me as i was so nervous very happy with the staff
They don't take you seriously. It doesn't matter what shape you're in, they completely disregard you. When i was telling them about what happened to me I felt like they thought i was overplaying it. They made me feel like my pain and feelings were not valid. The doctor I saw, was similar, I did NOT feel comfortable with him at all. No eye contact nothing, I seriously felt like going home and wallowing in my pain. Which I ended up doing anyways. They did not help me, I would NOT recommend. Praying for private healthcare one day.
If I could give a lower review I would. My son went there after falling down 4 cement stairs and landing on his tail bone. So he drove a hour and a half to Barrhead Hospital. The man at the front desk told him it can't be that bad, you limped in here. Very sad, no compassion at all. Staffing should have some sort of reviews after so many complaints.
Poor quality of care, staff are rude, racist and unhelpful . Currently still waiting after two hours for my daughters broken hand!
Had an appointment to see a doctor in emerg. 1 hour later and the doctor still isnt here. Apparently he isnt even in the building. Would rate less than one star if it was possible. You would have better luck at the Grey Nuns, and that says a lot.
First time going to emergency, both the Nurse and Doctor I had were fantastic made me feel very safe and were extremely comforting. Really appreciated the kindness and compassion!
I came into this hospital in a lot of abdominal pain. I knew something wasn’t right. I was basically ready for death. The lady at the front handing out face masks when we entered was mean and dismissive. This woman should be fired in the area of “emergency” for how she treats people. I waited in emergency for 3 and a half hours while people with a “cough” were seen before me. A teenage kid came in with his mother a hour and half after I was already waiting with a “cough” and was taking in immediately before me, and was discharged literally half hour after. While I was throwing Up Acid and was keeling over in pain and the emergency looked over me. There were people before me and saw how in pain I was and left because of their negligence. Finally after three and a half hours in the WAITING room they realized how bad it was my appendix was done for and finally they admitted me. I could have died but luckily I had EMERGENCY surgery. I felt like I was in a third world country the way I was treated. When I told some of the nurses in the other area what happened they were astonished and mad I received such useless care while being admitted to emergency section of the hospital. The hospital is for emergency I was in need of emergency. And yet they overlooked me. Might want to actually realize who’s there on the brink of death and yes believe the reviews. Better to go to Edmonton then to deal with this mess of “emergency” waiting room. They can check their cameras. Everything I’ve said is 100% truth.
No no no, if you can go literally anywhere else, do that. My daughter went in sat and waited a long time. It's her first pregnancy, she is bleeding and they sent her home with a requisition form for a Ulta sound. My daughter now has to wait days to see if she is miscarrying or something else is happening. This is so unkind to make a first time mom wait days to see if she lost her baby, that's disgusting.
This is the worse emergency unit I have visited, waited 6hrs when we finally decided to go home, my kid even told the nurse "I'm puking" 2 hrs later still no doctor, emerge nurses here are the worse, they visit and drink their starbuck at the nursing desk, I recommend driving to another hospital, even with the hour drive you will be seen by a doctor quicker.
I went in with symptoms of cardiac issues....was rushed in....treated with amazing care and compassion. everyone from front desk to doctor....were.amazing thank you
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had to wait over an hour for help to get to the bathroom just three hours after surgery. Then she just watched me struggle and yell in pain. Once I was in there, she just left. My nurse was emptying my drain and then she just left. Drain wide open and leaking everywhere. I buzzed for her to come back then she accused me of taking it off. She would not give me pain meds on time. I was supposed to get them every 3 hours but I got them once in an eight hour span. She did not believe that I was in pain. My drain started leaking everywhere at the morning shift change so I buzzed for my nurse. She came in, didn't say a word looked at the clock and walked out never to be seen again and didn't tell another nurse. She left me sitting there in a puddle of my own blood. My husband asked to speak to the nurse in charge and she didn't want to hear it. Told us to make a complaint and that she would find us a card to write it on. Never seen her again either.
Very good service, attention to detail and overall comfort was first class. Shoutout to all the nurses and the doctors that helped me through my procedure! ❤️❤️
Rude staff, excessively long wait times while staff just chat with each other. You can tell they just don’t care.
This hospital isn't even that busy and I'm still waiting 7 hours later.
You hope you never need the emergency or surgery services of a hospital. We are so fortunate to have this facility in our community. Our family have had our share of visits in the past months and years. The doctors, nurses and all the staff work so hard and, in our experience, have always gone out of their way to ensure the best care and communication with their patients. If you have had a positive experience, leave a review. They deserve your praise and feedback!
I have been in FSCH for 5 days going on a month. The care and compassion of the staff is unsurpassed! Very professional staff and I would recommend this facility in a heartbeat! Just noticed one flustered reviewer... you get out what you put in to situations!
Friendly staff, nice New looking facility but same old slow, slow, slow, slow service
My wife had her C section stitches out and the incision opened up after she coughed in her sleep. I called an ambulance and they took her to Fort Sask Hospital. The doctor didnt even look at the wound, just told us to bandage it and sent us home. The next day we went to our family doctor as the bleeding still hadnt stopped and the wound required 4 stitches to close.
My father-in-law was hospitalized at this hospital for Sepsis. We were visiting him and he expressed that he did not know the results of an Angiogram. We asked to speak to the charge nurse on shift. We waited for approximately 40 minutes and were shocked when she came into the room and began berating my husband for asking to speak to her. She stated she had plenty of "fires to put out" and came when she could. When asking for the result of the Angiogram she then began scolding my 95 year old father-in-law stating that he had been already told of the result by his Dr. This was completely shocking to myself and his 92 year old wife. Totally unprofessional behaviour. We asked to speak to the Dr. On call and were told that there wasn't one. Is it true that this hospital does not have access to a physician?
They have got the best staff. I have been to other hospitals in Edmonton, none of them had staff who would take such good care of their patients and treat them nicely but Fort Saskatchewan Hospital has less wait time, very good staff and offer great care to their patients.
I found the staff professional, efficient, knowledgeable & friendly. They made me very comfortable & less fearful. Seemed very clean!
This past week I had day surgery at the Fort Saskatchewan Hospital. While surgery is never fun, and I was frustrated by the long wait to even get scheduled (exasperated by COVID-19), I must take a moment to acknowledge the day surgery staff, Dr Farooq, Dr Mohammed, the medical students and nurses. You all provided excellent, professional, friendly service and care. Thank you.
5 hour wait time and when the doctor finally got to us it was a 2-minute visit and very unprofessional.
Had to have my appendix removed, Dr Juta was awesome, facility is clean, rooms are clean and come with a hide a bed for a guest. This is what health care in Canada should be like!!
We have a wonderful hospital in our community. I was in day surgery 07/02 and from reception to discharge everyone was fantastic to deal with. Thank you to nurses Brooke, Rebecca, Clare and Debra in recovery for being kind and patient amid Covid procedures that I’m sure have doubled your workload.
Great staff, wonderful hospital. Excellent care. They go out of their way for you!
Half the time when you're sitting there waiting to see a doctor, there's not even a doctor working. Just a prime example of our inadequate health care system. They are also too preoccupied with worrying about covid that they don't even care about their job of helping sick people anymore. Refusing sick and injured people to have loved ones by their side during the awful experience that going to emerge for help actually is. And compassion? They've never heard of it.
I would not treat a dog like what I experienced at that plce
The staff of this hospital don't care about there patient. Some staff holding there cellphone and some staff are standing and talking of each other. (ER DEPARTMENT)
I have had two surgeries here and both experiences were positive. The hospital was very clean. All the staff members I encountered were very friendly and organized. The nurses checked on me regularly to make sure I was comfortable and well-cared for. My surgeon made time to visit me during both stays and answered all my questions. The rooms were shared but we still had plenty of space and privacy. Overall, I was very impressed with the level and quality of care at this hospital.
The staff there are extremely dis-organized and are incredibly lazy. Go to Edmonton even if its just stitches. A three hour wait time in the middle of the day when the place is slow is normal.
Over the past 12 years my wife and I have to this hospital several times because unfortunately, this is our nearest hospital. I can't get into specifics because this review would be 10 pages long. Every single time we have been to this hospital we have had sub par treatment. Misdiagnosis has been the most common occurrence. The doctors here are the worst we have met anywhere. Avoid this hospital if you can, go to the sturgeon hospital where they are friendly, professional and thorough.
I just had Day Surgery here two weeks ago. I just wanted to express my thanks for the excellent care I received from your hospital team and the Doctors and Nurses. I feel I could not have been more well cared for. Your people were amazing, great and kind. Everyone of them was so caring and professional. It was a very busy day and folks were hopping - but they are a happy and skilled team that kept me very well informed throughout. And I am well and recovered. Please be proud of yourselves.
Hope you like being put in triage when you have to get some basic test results back. Wasted 5 hours of my day for a 5 minute meeting just for them to say they don't know what's wrong. Great. Write that on my body tombstone when I die because you told me I can't eat or drink yet. Fix your system. If someone can be dealt with and rushed out because they just need results, DON'T PUT THEM IN ER
A wonderful experience delivering our baby girl here. Dr's and Staff were excellent. Facility is clean and well maintained.
My was in your guys emergency room this past Tuesday and Wednesday she was very impressed with the care she got from the nurses and that they would check in with her of she needed anything at all and she also had a great things to say about the infection and disease specialist dr. King she was very caring and treated my mom fantastic I am very glad she got the greatest care from you guys also that dr.king mentioned to mom she was going be fine as she went in due to possibly having a bad infection on her legs I would recommend the fort Saskatchewan hospital any day keep the fantastic guys I very happy that my mom got the best care possible.
Friendly staff , quick service , well versed Doctor Swinya . thank you guys
Mis-diagnosed twice when i went here. 1. Came in with a broken foot and after x rays Was told it was just a light sprain. After a month and a half and it not getting better i went in again and saw an older doctor who originated here in canada that found that it was actaully broken in 2 places... it grew back malformed and now its somthing i have to deal with unless i want to get it re-broken and surgery. 2. Came in with a injured knee that was dislocating on me at least ounce every week, a imigrant doctor told me there was nothing wrong with it and didnt give me anything for it, but after seeing a actaul doctor that knows what hes doing i found i had a torn acl and chipped a bone in my knee cap. Most of the doctors here are obviously incompitent and just want to get you out the dopr asap. I would be very hesitant to ever go there again. With the amount of taxes we pay for health care this should not be happening.
Had to have emergency surgery a week ago and they were amazing at calming my nerves before surgery and amazing with helping me recovery. My nurse Sherry was the best nurse ive ever had. 11/10
I walked into the emergency room here tonight hoping to see someone . Ive never in my life dealt with so many miserable people as soon you get threw the doors each different person you have to deal with carrys the nastyest attitude i was absolutely shocked when people have problems at places its usually in regards to one staff member but not one person i had dealt with in this short period of being here was even pleasant. It blows my mind how you have that many staff members getting away with something that takes the smallest effort to change . I was transferred to a unit behind the emergency waiting room at 9:10 when i had came in and transferred there posted wait time was 30 minutes and there was noone else in the emergency waiting. After being transferred at 9:10 not another person was transferred to where i had been moved I continued to sit here for another 3 hours and nothing had changed and i still was the only person in this unit at the time of leaving . To come in and wait 3 hours when you were told there was no wait is one thing in a hospital I completely understand anything can change and i would never ask to be seen before someone who needs attention immediately but to have staff give you nothing but nasty attitude when you check what’s going on only once in a 3 hour period when you dont know why your the only person who was moved back here and there wait has increased to 3 hours online is unacceptable. The reviews dont lie if your miserable in your job do something else people ask you for a reason your the health care professional im looking for your knowledge. Whoever runs this hospital is clearly not involved in day to days operations what so ever or the staff members being brought on . In the middle of a pandemic its terrifying to walk into a hospital and the people who have worked endless hours to protect the public will always have my endless respect but this was nothing less of disgusting , get a new job. Noone wants to deal with your attitude because you are miserable . I sat here for 4 hours tonight after driving a hour just to get here and have never once in my life been so disgusted . read the reviews they dont lie clearly its something in the water at this hospital .
Great hospital!! The nurses and the doctor that took care of wife was very friendly and caring. The hospital was also very clean and nice.
The discharge nurse could not be ruder or more aggressive. So sad and disappointing.
Brought my kid in for simple stiches... waited over 3 hrs in the waiting room, get in the room they freeze him and after over an hour they still haven't come in to do his stiches. Thank you fort sask hospital for absolutely traumatizing my 5 year old son. I will never come back. Living in the fort I will forever drive to the stollery. What a joke
We waiting here in the waiting room, the open heart surgery patient who is having post surgery issues , while the lady with the throwing up kid goes first....seriously nuts
Normally I hear of insane wait times and bad service but I can tell you tonight was not that, we saw wait times of 4 hours online and 95 minutes in Sherwood Park yet we were in seen and out in less than 90 minutes all the while the staff dealing w someone mentally challenged screaming at them on a super snowy night w several people sitting in the waiting room. All around great service from the triage RN and clerk to Dr Kumar, restoring our faith in our hospital so a quick thank you and 5 star is certainly the least I could do!!!!
Nurses were more than great surgeon and everyone else involved made me feel comfortable
Total joke!
Late night emergency for a sliced finger. Been here an hour an a half, still no doctor to come by. Should have been done and over with already. not the first time for this stuff either.
Currently waiting here after being in a car accident, my cousin has an eye wound. They seem to be avoiding us at all cost no hey how are you feeling no nothing. Any question that gets asked is answered very rudely. Understandable that there is always a wait in emerg but just being a touch polite would make this horrible experience a bit better. Recommend heading to sherwood park and avoid if you can.
Very busy people arnt very nice
Do not go to this hospital for day surgery.
