You have all the feddbacks of people like you who consumed the products of Canmore General Hospital (Hospital) in Alberta (Canada).
As of day the business receives a score of 3.9 out of 5 and this score has been based on 33 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is really positive, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the valuation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to give reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Hospital belongs to the category of Hospital.
All the staff were really caring...pre and post op. Thank you!
What a great experience we had delivering our first born baby boy! Dr. Flowers, nurse's Brenda, Betty and Megan are awesome and made us feel so comfortable and special for the whole experience! Thank you from Woo Alex and baby Logan!
I would put 6stars if I can! I booked my laboratory test three weeks ahead but upon arrival no requisition was there, which was supposed to be sent by two of the (specialist)doctors offices they jointly requested the test. Since the test had to be performed on certain dates, and it's on the weekend, one doctors office was closed and I left numerous VMs at the other office but had no luck getting a call back. The laboratory stuff and the nurse at the prescreening station were so understanding of the situation and everyone was trying to help out! I knew the chance was slim given its the weekend and it was 30mins before they close. And the nurse used her personal connection helped me through the right extension for the doctors office that's open on Saturday, and got the requisition last minute before the laboratory closed. All what they do was way beyond their responsibility but to show the care and supportive to the patients' needs. Can't thank them more!
Amazing doctors and nurses! They've taking such good care of me and put an end to my three week suffering when no one else knew what I had. I'm so thankful and would recommend this hospital to anyone
Absolutely love this hospital! The nurses are very caring and definitely take good care of you. Always knock first have a smile when they come check up on you. Came here for 3 births and always recommend it!
Dr Savage and the team was incredible. He and the team we’re attentive and caring and walked me through the everything. Though it was a minor procedure - they made me feel super comfortable.
Went in last night at 9:45pm with a possible broke foot, got X-rays right way and the staff at the beginning were very polite and helpful. Shift change at 10:00pm and staff was rude, doctor on shift was very disrespectful and rude. Spent over 3 hours waiting in the waiting room and had people go in and out. Was told at 1:15am it would be at least another 45 mins to get in the back. It was faster to drive to foothills hospital in Calgary and been seen right away. I wouldn't go back if the same staff and doc was on shift even if my arm was ready to fall off.
I have had a few trips to both the Banff and Canmore hospitals. The nurses are definitely smarter at the Canmore Hospital. If you have a choice, go here.
I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided by the doctors and nurses in the Emergency Department. Three visits for the same breathing issue and not once did they dismiss my concerns and they continued to dig in to find the cause. Because of them, I have a diagnosis and will be seeing a lung specialist right away. Did I wait a while during each visit, sure; but I wasn’t critical while others were. I have no problem with their prioritization of patients. Thank you Canmore Emerg Department!!
I've recently fractured my foot and severely sprained my ankle. Canmore hospital was the first place I went to to assess my injuries. They were a bit rude and rushed me both in and out. They did not xray my foot nor bother to call a tech in to do it either. I was sent home with a splint on my leg and crutches and told to go to another hospital.
Judy's Surgery
I made an appointment online for my lab services, I only waited 10 minutes, the person who took my blood sample was great. I'm grateful to have such a good hospital so close by.
Saturday September 26, 2020. It was strange hearing a nurse tell a 5 year old that "all these grown ups here are taking time out of their day to help him." The nurse literally tried using guilt with the 5 year old and was acting like he isn't being paid well to be there.
Couldn’t have asked for a team during labour and the couple days we spent at the hospital. RN Kari was amazing during labour and after as well. Dr. Clark was a godsend. She kept me (relatively) calm and talked me through some rough contractions. Huge shout out to Betty (lactation consultant) too. Baby wasn’t cooperating during feeding time and she was determined to make sure he would feed properly before we were discharged. Big thanks to all the other nurses (don’t remember everyone’s name) too. Great team!
Came here close to the end of a long, terrible experience with a kidney infection that did not subside for months. In addition, my immune system had become so weak I was very sick. I was treated well, especially by the student doctor (If I remember correctly) I spoke to before the alleged head of the ER or something came to give me the consensus. IV in my arm he walks in and begins talking about things that no 17 year girl (me) wants her father (who was sitting in the room) to hear. The doctor said “I hope you’re ok with me saying this in front of your dad” and continued to talk immediately after that without giving me a single second to open my mouth. I am aware problems like mine can come from what he suggests however, there was no attempt of private conversation to rule that out, just a male doctor assuming on behalf of a young female patient. He made suggestions (very untrue suggestions) as to what he personally thought was causing my issues, I found his suggestions and overall ignorance (although it seems he knew what he was doing) of my father being present to be misogynistic and an attempt to embarrass me. It’s as if a teenage girl (a very sick one too) cannot even go into an ER with an illness like that without an older male doctor implying it MUST be related to who and how many… you get the point. I suppose any other plausible cause or simply antibiotic resistance does not exist in his ER.
We had our son at the CGH via emergency c-section and the care we received was absolutely top notch. We can’t say enough good things about the doctors (Dr. Swinton, Dr. Hwang, Dr. Sullivan, and Dr. Irvine) who helped bring our kiddo into the world, and the nurses who took such good care of us before and after, especially Brenda, Meg, and Felix. We are so grateful for the level of care we received and the wonderful experience we had despite our little guys dramatic entrance into the world!
nurses will chat among themselves for 25 mins before bringing anyone in from the waiting room, then the doctor will take 2+ hours before seeing patients in an almost empty ER. there was 1 person ahead of me then 3 people behind me who were seen by a doctor before myself.
Rudest staff I have ever had the mispeasure of talking to. Just over the phone alone made me not want to go in. I'll go to foothills thank you. Switch your attitude up
Today Friday September 10th I was at canmore hospital where I was medically discriminated against. This is a direct violation of my human rights and should not be acceptable.
Fantastic emergency department! We were met at the door and had a wheelchair and assistance within seconds. Very thorough, competent and knowledgeable. Kudos to Dr Hendry and the whole staff!
Cannot get trough for an emergency ???
I called inquiring if they had urgent care clinic and was informed that they did. I went in to the Er and was triaged by nurse to separate waiting area while wife was ushered to cashier. The hospital bill alone was $850. Even though it was for a non-emergent visit. If I had known I would have left. When I appealed they said that is the basic ER rate for foreign residents. (US). I called Ridgeview Medical Center and they said their basic rate was $125. I felt misled by the receptionist who took my initial call and said that they had urgent care clinic. I’ve appealed to management unsuccessfully. I am posting this so that you are aware that they do not have urgent care prices especially if you are from US.
I have had the misfortune of breaking several bones in three different accidents over the past year. Each time I end up in Emergency I am seen quickly, assessed and treated thoroughly and with respect by all of the staff. The medical staff are competent and take their patients seriously and attend to them appropriately. I am truly grateful for the high level of medical care we are blessed with in this town. I appreciate all of the members in our healthcare community for the outstanding services they provide.
Canmore General took care of me after a significant bike incident. They used a warming and hardening splint to protect my wrist. I would recommend going between 8 AM and 12 AM when possible out of respect for the staff; I know the mountains can be fun, but treat injuries at a reasonable time.
Nurses (Marian, Tiffany, Claire, Iola, Felix, Chris, Rhea, and a few more!) and Doctor's(Duplessi, Irvine), Surgeon(Murphy) all excellent, they all treated me very well, and explained everything they were doing, no issues at all with any of their bedside manners or procedures. Spent one night after surgery and the biggest issue was having to be released so fast because of Covid rules.
This Hospital is a bless . ????
My wife had delivery here. This hospital is blessed with caring nurses and doctors. RN named Dineen is an angel, she helped my wife alot during the delivery time. She was there for all our needs and gave great support. Also RN Felix u guys made maternity department so memorable and the best.
