Make sure you specify how long your appointment will be, because otherwise they won't give themselves enough time to do what you want. Also, the quality of the service depends on which stylist you get. Elsie is great, Laurie is mediocre at best, and I haven't had any others.

Vince and his team are awesome. Vince does exactly what I want, how I want it and it comes out amazing. Best to book an appointment as they are always booked up but only because they're so good at what they do. I follow them on Instagram and to see that they are always taking new courses, keeping up to date with the newest styles and ways to do hair is a plus! I know they take pride in being a great hairstylist.

Avoid!!! If you care about your hair please do not go here. I had a bad dye job and my scalp was chemically burned, leaving me with red welts all over my scalp. My scalp burned and itched for days on end and my roots were burned off. My roots literally look like they were shaved. I have dry, brittle hair that falls off in clumps. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY, PAIN AND TEARS.

If you are looking for an amazing hair salon, look no further! The Colour Room is a cut above the rest…literally! I have very thin hair, and have always been concerned about colouring it, for fear of further damage. Upon meeting Cassandra, I finally gathered the nerve to change my hair…and have never looked back! Not only is my hair healthier and more vivacious, but I look forward to my time with Cassandra for weeks prior. I often show her several (very) different photographs before my appointment, and she is always able to find the perfect medium. I trust her opinions 100%, and leave my appointment with a huge smile on my face feeling like a brand new woman! Due to my fine hair, I often wear clip-in extensions for extra volume and length. I have experienced disappointment in the past with hair dressers trying to match the extensions to my own hair. I am blown away by Cassandra’s ability to blend my hair with the human hair extensions, despite the multitude of colours I tend to ask for in highlights and low-lights. The atmosphere at the Colour Room is always entertaining, as the staff truly treat each other (and their customers) like family. You can tell they are all extremely passionate about what they do, and their work is not only reliable, but exceptional!

If you are looking for a remarkable, talented, reliable hairdresser, Cassandra is your girl. Anything from a bold color to the smallest trim she can do it with confidence and ease. I lived in Ottawa for years and I had been going to the same hairdresser since I was 6 years old. When I first moved to Toronto I was still going back to Ottawa to get my hair done. However after 2 years of being in Toronto I knew I had to find a new hairdresser, I was looking but not seriously…through friends I met Cassandra and I immediately had hairdresser crush. She knew right away what I wanted just by me spilling out a couple of words like different color, dark and not too short… A quick enjoyable time later I was out of there with a bright smile on my face. Since my first time, I’ve gone back and changed the length, changed the color and all of it is done without hesitation since Cassandra makes it so easy and entertaining. The Color Room overall gives you fantastic customer service with a delicious side of coffee. I am so happy I met Cassandra and that I have my new go to hair salon! I can't say how enjoyable it is to wake up to a great hair color and a hairstyle, it makes getting ready so easy.

Loved it here, until i got the junior stylist. She cut off 4 inches more of my hair than agreed upon, and dyed hair yellow. My hair grows so slow due to colouring, it will take 2 years to grow back. They agreed to fix the colour, but not the length.

Lori is a very talented and extremely detailed oriented stylist and colourist. She listens and is able to provide helpful suggestions that make the final outcome awesome! She is patient and does not rush so that her clients leave feeling great and satisfied. Perhaps the best thing is that she truly cares about providing a great service and this is reflected not only in her ability to explain the process but to genuinely listen to your requests and provide an outstanding colour and cut.

I have had my hair cut by a few of the women when my main stylist was on holiday but I see Marlene on a regular basis because she is my miracle worker! If you want people to stop you on the street and ask where you get your hair done I recommend Marlene all the way. I have never been able to remain loyal to any salon in the past but the Colour room is truly my home. My whole family have become Marlene's clients.

Cassandra is amazing; all the staff I've met are super friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is relaxed, and fun. It's a great place to come in the evening to pamper yourself while having a few laughs - and of course leave with an awesome haircut! Cassandra really knows what she's doing. She has always had good advice for me - when I first started seeing her several years ago, my hair was damaged, but now it's more than healthy. She's great at mixing colour as well - I always get compliments on my colour after my appointments. And she's happy to give advice when it comes to blow drying and styling your own hair at home, as well. I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else!!

I have been going to this salon for about 10 years, and Cassandra is my stylist. My natural hair type is thin, coppery, and throws a lot of curve balls when it comes to styling. I was always very picky and unsatisfied with my hair and Cassandra completely turned it around, I actually love my hair now! I pretty well always walk in the salon with a "vague" idea of what I want done with my hair, and she continues to exceed my expectations!
