The staff are beyond friendly (and far from judgemental as other high end boutique & hair salons tend to be here in Winnipeg). I have never once walked out of here with a bad cut or colour and any degree of dissatisfaction. I highly recommend Aaylah for colour/highlights as she is an expert in that field specializing in all things to do with dye, Jill is also a fantastic stylist, I always adore the haircuts she gives both men and women, and Dom (the owner) is hands down the best at doing men’s styles/cuts/beard trims. They never fail to offer you coffee, tea or water upon arrival to your stylists chair and they have the most amazing hair care and styling products in their mini boutique at the front of their store. My favourite hair product lines they carry include (but are not limited to): R+CO, Kevin Murphy, and Kerostace. I’m someone who used to work as a hairstylist and makeup artist and so I am a picky customer and hard to please due to my background in the industry... but this place ticks all my checklist marks for what a great salon truly is. The reason I know it is great is because you never ever hear the staff quietly whispering about the boss or coworkers. A good salon is one with happy employees who don’t know how to keep it professional, they just are because they love their job and work place!

It's hard to find a good place for a male to get a hair cut. This place is amazing. Holly does a great job and the owner , Dom, give you a cut to die for. All around happy that I found VQ after so many bad cuts and people not caring to do a males hair style.

Vq Salon knows their business, and my stylist and colourist Ayla is as professional as they come. The owners are charming and knowledgeable and Natasha at the front desk is always welcoming, happy to share her ideas also. I cannot get enough of this place because my hair always looks so polished when I leave...I especially love the shampoo stations! Do not overlook this salon and team if you live in Winnipeg, or are just visiting...I have never seen a bad colour or cut once.

Jill was amazing! She was professional, charming, knowledgeable, and patient. I mean I have an asian hair, thick , black and long and wanted a make over to a shoulder level length. I was 100% satisfied, I have tried other salon I think their price is reasonable.

I have gotten the best haircuts here! Recently I got my hair coloured pink. I have never gotten my hair coloured before or bleached and I was nervous as expected. The staff are extremely friendly and know what's best for you (they certainly did what was best for me as I did not know exactly what I wanted). Vq is definitely worth what you pay, my hair dresser also gave me some great tips on how to curl my hair.

Was not impressed by the first stylist that was chosen for me when I first started to go to VQ. I changed my stylist and now I won't go to another stylist! Great, clean environment, just need to look into the stylists when you first start, hit and miss!

Best customer service I’ve ever experienced. This place treats you like family. I came in with a tall order and an extremely short timeline and they took it upon themselves to make it happen. Megan was my stylist and I highly recommend her. She’s awesome! I absolutely loved how united the entire staff was, and that the manager was so involved and encouraging throughout the process. Everyone was willing and happy to help, always asking what they could do and providing suggestions and support. You could just tell all of them cared so much about the customers and were willing to go above and beyond to deliver the best service possible. THIS is how a salon should run. THIS is what customer service looks like. Talented, confident and friendly staff. Encouraging management and overall, a wonderful experience. I may live 1 1/2 hours outside the city but I don’t care. This is my salon now! A+++. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Thank you Megan and everyone who helped at VQ Salon!
