Took a bit of research but i finally settled on Élan! I have a very picky colour and cut, and my stylist was able to perfectly duplicate what i had, despite my not being able to remember the exact colours and brands that had been used on my hair previously. Jenna did an amazing job and ill be seeing her regularly now to keep up with my style!!!!! i will definitely be recommending others try this studio. it's a gorgeous salon, clean, and staff is very knowledgeable. Thank you guys for an amazing experience. can't wait for my root touch ups, and to plan my next hair adventure!

I have gone to see Renn twice now, and I've never had a better hair style in my life! I didn't really know what I wanted when I went in the first time, and he still managed to give me exactly what I was looking for (which seems impossible). Such a beautiful cut for my face shape, and it fits with what my hair naturally tends to do. It's also fast and easy for me to style in the morning before work. I couldn't be happier. I'm never going to trust anyone else with my hair again! Also, Renn is just a really nice guy to talk to, so that's a bonus. Highly recommended!

After a day of research, I decided to give Elan a try. Having a haircut in Winnipeg isn't cheap, so I had to be sure to go to the right salon, otherwise I'd end up wasting money on a bad haircut. I originally went for a pixie cut and my hairstylist, Hannah, was ready to give me what I've asked for. But, at the same time, she also offered her professional advice on what haircut might suit me better. I ended up trying on her suggestion, which was a very good decision because I am so happy with my hair right now. My friends at work complimented me on my new haircut. Thanks, Hannah and Elan!

The online booking is nice and convenient. They both emailed and called to confirm my booking the day before. Rachel is a great stylist. Only person I'll pay to cut my hair. Knowledgeable and friendly and easy to work with. I just cut off 15 or so inches and couldn't be happier with the experience. Lots of street parking is always available. Salon's interior design is really awesome too.

Hi I’m Kaylah and my hair is currently blue. I found Elan Studio by chance as they had an opening before I had an event and I’m so glad I did! I needed my roots either rebleached and coloured or darkened and blended and we chose the later, also with a hair cut. Adara is so wonderful and friendly, she really makes it a great experience to have to sit for so long. She made sure I didn’t leave until she’d done the best job she could do and it turned out wonderful. She was very efficient and quick! Will definitely be back to see her again.

I've been seeing Brittany at Elan Hair Studio for several years and always love coming in to get my hair done! Brittany does an amazing job every time, and when my bridal party came in to get our hair done for the wedding, all of the stylists did an amazing job and everyone was thrilled with their looks :) When you come in for your appointment, you are offered complimentary water, tea and/or coffee, and they now offer a wine menu which is a really nice option. This all adds to the great atmosphere which is very welcoming. I would highly recommend this salon- all of the stylists are passionate about doing hair and keeping on top of the latest styles and techniques, and everyone is super friendly!

I went here today after I saw all the great reviews here on Google and it does not disappoint. I got in for a last minute appointment with Jamie and she was awesome! She listened to my questions, gave me suggestions and was so friendly. She even took the time to style my hair afterwards. She knew how to cut long hair which can be hard to find. I tend to bounce around from stylist to stylist but I'll be sure to come back to see Jamie. They are also extremely reasonable pricing wise for hair cuts. I have extremely long hair and it was only $40! A steal in this day and age.

My first ever experience at Elan Hair Studio was by far the best experience I’ve had at any Salon here in Winnipeg! It is such a comfortable and relaxed environment and the stylists are all so friendly, they make it an enjoyable experience! I’ve been going to this Salon for the past 2 (going on 3) years. I booked with Jamie for the first time in summer 2015 after a terrible hair experience at a previous salon and needless to say, she has been my stylist ever since! She has done AMAZING things for me and my hair, whether it’s a cut, colour, certain style, you name it, she will make your hair dreams come true! ☺️ Super talented and really cares about her clients which is just an added bonus! She is honest about what can and can’t be done at first glance, but more importantly, she is able to keep your trust when it comes down to the process of it all! Jamie is currently on Maternity leave until July, but she has still gone above and beyond to make sure I am being taken care of while she’s away, which I am so grateful for! She recommended Hannah to me who I’ve gone to twice now and have not left disappointed! Yet another amazingly talented stylist who also works her hair magic and creates stunning hair transformations!! The care and attention both of these stylists have given to me is appreciated so much! Honestly, it’s one of the best feelings being able to put your complete trust in great hair stylists who know exactly what they’re doing and truly care about the satisfaction of their clients!! Renn at Elan is the man. I travel a fair bit and I have never had a regular barber. In my experience it's very hard to find someone that gets it. Renn thankfully is one that does. A great zero maintenance haircut. Very happy and Ill be back.

I went for a consultation and felt persecuted for having thick long hair. I was asking to have my hair dyed and cut the way I like it. I felt shamed for not fitting into a box. Im not a white female and I did not feel welcome. I wish I never went there. It does not matter how nice he thought he was bring; I got the meesage loud and clear. I did not represent his clients. FYI I am glad I was not accepted because I am a proud ethnic woman and that is the last time a white male will make me feel shame. Hair is an expression of who you are and not what the hairdresser wants you to be to reflect his reputation! I am so glad my hairdresser is still in business and the grass is not always greener on the otherside. Beware of too many "good reviews" as I found one other one hidden amongst them by Samara. Not the place for everyone just those who fit a certain mould.

I consider myself a positive person but have to write this for all those new clients expecting a good outcome. It was my first time and I wasn't happy with the outcome though I reached out for help but didn't get further advice. You know that a business will get untrustworthy if it becomes all about the money and less about the client's happiness. The charge is way too much for the service that a client gets, which would have been worth it, only if you are satisfied with the outcome. To the staff of Elan that when people pay big bucks that doesn't always mean that they are rich, but it certainly is that they want a good outcome, which was my case, that I didn't get. I wouldn't recommend this place and I would never return back. At least thanks to you for making a few people happy, based on the previous reviews I read, which is why I wanted to come to your salon!

It was my first time going to Elan. I went to the stylist TJ. When I told her what I wanted to do to my hair, I didn't think she would be able to due to other hairdressers telling me it was "impossible". I went from a dark, reddish brown box dye to a beautiful sun-kissed blonde, in one day! TJ made sure my hair would not be damaged and took her time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. The staff at Elan are friendly and truly care about you leaving completely happy. I would never go back to any other hair salon. The pricing is average and very fair. AMAZING service!

For over 10 years I've been trying to get the hair colour that TJ provided me in one sitting. She took my very long (down to my hips) and thick hair with 4 inches of regrowth and much history of colouring it many different shades, and it turned it into exactly what I wanted on my first visit. I have spent thousands of dollars on my hair and she is the first to give me exactly what I wanted. It was quite a complex process with different steps required, but by the end, I was left with a beautiful caramel base, with perfect highlights throughout in all the exact right places. I have received many compliments. Not only was the end result amazing, but the salon was much more relaxing and personable than some of the other popular salons I've been to. There was no waiting and TJ provided me with her full attention. She does not fill her day with many clients just so she can give you the best possible service. I have found the salon and stylist I will see from now on.

Marycel at Elan is truly a master stylist. She has been styling my hair for a number of years and she is the only stylist who has ever been able to facilitate hair growth and ongoing health in my hair. Despite many many colours and cuts, my hair has truly flourished under her care. I strongly recommend Marycel. The whole salon is super friendly yet casually sophisticated - a perfect marriage for great me-time.

I've been seeing TJ at Elan Hair Studio for quite a few years now and she saved my hair! She delivers on anything I ask her to do and way beyond my expectations..for example..a box dye black to a blonde (without a ton of damage), she has taught me how to properly take care of my hair, and always makes my hair so beautiful. I always get numerous compliments after my appointments with her. The staff are always extremely friendly and courteous as well, and the environment is very comfortable and enjoyable.

I did not have a good experience with Elan hair studio. I paid over $350 for a balayage and it looks absolutely nothing like the reference photo that I showed. I have had balayage done about 5-6 times previously at different salons where I used to live, and they have all had a soft gradient from dark at the roots to light at the ends. This dye job was the opposite! The ends are almost black with blond at the top so I look ridiculous. I went back to the salon in hopes that they could do damage control, and I was told they didn’t have time to fix it this weekend. I left very upset because I also work with people and if someone was unhappy with my work I would make sure to stay late or come early to make things right. Now I will have to shell out another few hundred dollars to have someone fix it ASAP because I can’t leave it like this. For reference, I have added a photo of the what I showed them from Pinterest, and what I left with. UPDATE: for whoever responded that I came back in on Sunday - I immediately called the salon Saturday after I left the appointment and I was told to come back in on Sunday. Not sure why you would tell me to come in Sunday if you “weren’t open”.

I went to get my Balayage refreshed by Nikki, the outcome is attached below(Or at least I tried to attach it). She did a truly outstanding job, and also, has an incredible personality. I believe it took around 5 hours to achieve my desired look, however talking to Nikki made time fly by. She is not just very talented with hair services but also knows how to make her clients feel welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend her.

What balayage? If you are talking about blue I never got one. I just asked her to dye my hair honey brown with blue dip dye and for everthing I was quoted 275+tax. All she did was just one color in my hair. The price that I paid was with blue color but I never got the blue color still I got charged for that and said I am charging you this cz I used more products. And that's so ridiculous stop assuming that I am price shy when she kept on changing her prices. Worst customer service ever!

I recently moved to Winnipeg and was a little nervous to have to find a new hairdresser but I couldn’t be happier with the hair cut that Jamie gave me! She knew exactly what worked with my hair and face. I can hardly wait for her to do my highlights/low lights Overall, Jamie is by far the best hair dresser I have ever had and I have always gone to top of the line beauty salons. In addition, she is super friendly, helpful, down to earth and easy to have a conversation with. I also had my brows waxed by the esthetician Elizabeth and she did a fabulous job cleaning them up yet making sure that they still looked natural. She also offered to zap a pimple on my face with a laser (to kill the bacteria so it can heal faster/not get worse) for free which I of course eagerly took her up on ahha! Elizabeth was so sweet and I couldn’t be happier with my overall experience at Elan. Definitely found my go to salon!! Thanks Ladies :)
