Although the end result of my hair colour experience was beautiful, and there’s no doubt Amy is talented - it’s not at all what I asked for. I showed her an image of a orange-red colour, to which I received a deep cherry colour atop my head. There was next to no conversation about hair care, history, or what I wanted, and I left feeling like I wasted $250. For the price, I expected at minimum my expectations to be met, for my hair to be coloured the way I wanted, and to leave with a smile on my face. Sadly, I won’t be returning and I would not recommend this salon.

I would give zero stars if possible. I went in to get my bangs trimmed and the stylist navi butchered my hair. They are so crooked and thicker on one side. The customer service was poor and she didnt even acknowledge my concern half way through the trim, she just proceeded to cut and say she would make it look good. Never coming back.

I went in for the first time and the place was really cute and everyone was very friendly! The receptionist offered me a drink and I booked an appointment with Siavon (recommended by someone). Siavon was great! She was nice, friendly and gorgeous :) I went in to get a cut and she listened to what I wanted and offered me variety of options. She really valued my opinion which I loved! Definitely recommend Siavon and Sin 7 Salon!

Grit has been cutting and colouring my hair for over 3 years and I am never disappointed. I always have some weird cut or colour challenge for her and she always nails it! Red, green, any shade of blonde, the perfect brunette, undercut, layers, short, long or pixie.....doesn't matter what I ask of her she always does an amazing job! And she is such a wonderful person with a wealth of knowledge, I always enjoy spending time in her chair???? I love the decor and atmosphere of the salon and all the staff are so friendly. Chantelle greeted me at the door, and said she could take care of me. She did an AWESOME job. Not only is my hair just like the picture, she took the time to show me how to do it when I got home! I had a single color and cut today. I have been going there for a year and have seen 4 different sylists. When I booked for my appointment today, I was told the stylist was "new" but would be supervised by a senior stylist. My stylist seemed to be the only one working in the salon during my appointment. Anyway, I brought in a picture of the color I wanted which was a medium Auburn. I had my hair colored there before and there were notes in my profile regarding the mix to use. My hair ended up so dark brown that it is almost black. I was so stunned by the drastic difference that I barely noticed the hair cut. I mentioned that it looked "way darker than I wanted" but I thought bit might look different outside in the sun. Nope. Still looks black. I called my stylist and was told to "wash my hair with some cheap shampoo". I wasn't offered to come back in and come up with a solution which is what I would expect. I'm hoping the color will fade ASAP as I don't feel like myself. I won't be returning to this salon.

Everyone in the salon is very kind, accommodating and informative, I learnt more about how to properly take care of curly and dyed hair than I have in any other salon. This was my 2nd time at Sin 7 salon, I went for a haircut the first time and it was lovely, my 2nd visit was flawless from the way I was greeted and the way Chantelle took note of what I wanted to achieve, she did it perfectly, I didn’t have time for a blow dry, so I asked if possible to have my hair braided, Chantelle made sure to make this happen, and I left with the most lovely colour exactly as I wanted and my hair in the cutest braids from Olivia, I was invited back for a free haircut as a model from Grit! Which I’m SO in love with. Favorite place! I've seen a few stylists, though I have my favorite ladies and everyone works very hard to make sure your expectations can be met. This is an Aveda salon and the products are wonderfully nourishing. One of the best salons I have visited! I have been a client for a year and I absolutely love this salon. I have been searching high and low for a long time to find a good quality salon and a stylist who can work with my hair (for reference: black hair, short, thick, wavy). Chantelle blows me away each time I come in, whether for a simple cut or a colour. I had never had a salon colour my hair before, and I am so happy with my balayage. I fully trust Chantelle and her team! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, I always feel great! The front desk staff are so wonderful, and have been so accommodating! I absolutely love sin 7 salon. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with wonderful smiles and friendly staff who are constantly trying to make you more comfortable. They offer snacks, tea, water,etc...whatever you need to make your experience enjoyable. They hire extremely talented hairdressers and my favourite is Siavon. She is the only person I trusted to take my waist length black hair and turn it into a shoulder length golden balayage. I was scared to do such a drastic change but I’m so happy I put my trust in her hands because I could have not been happier with how it turned out. I have returned to her many times for different services now. I highly recommend this salon and their staff!

This was my first time at Sin 7 and I had my hair cut by Olivia and she is the sweetest! We went from a shoulder length hair cut into a pixie cut and it looks amazing! She understood my wants/needs but was also realistic with me about how my hair would handle the cut since it is so fine. She also gave me the best head massage while conditioning my hair. The salon was very clean, the music was great (not too loud) and they followed all of the proper covid-19 protocols. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with my cut and I will definitely be coming back!

Often when I call to book, my hairdresser has quit and gone. I was given another and even tho' there was a card with my hair color. She could NOT figure it out! I asked for roots only to cover the grey and leave the highlights. She tells me she needs toner as I want it BROWN like my eyebrows. This went on for 10 minutes until I finally walked out....to never go back! It's been over a month since I was told I would be contacted! Like the salon, that was useless also. I have yet to be contacted....AGAIN, I would NEVER recommend this place. I went to a salon that specializes in coloring hair and had an excellent visit. Love my new salon and even less for the treatment.

In my earlier review of this salon (Feb. 23rd, 2018), I had a nice haircut and style (for $92.29 incl. tax & tip) so I rebooked on April 13th for a hair colour (top foils) & cut with the same stylist. In consultation with the Sin 7 stylist, I showed photos of myself with a hair colour (with subtle highlights) from another salon that I had last September (2017), which I really liked (unfortunately that stylist left the salon). After my April 13th appointment at Sin 7, my hair looked nice, my bill was $295.15 ($256.65 + 15% tip). Over the course of the weekend, I noticed that the highlights seemed very light compared to the rest of my hair colour. After washing and styling my hair at home, my highlights compared to the rest of my hair colour were significantly different and not subtle as requested. As this service had cost me almost $300, I contacted the salon to have this fixed. On review of the Sin 7 website, FAQs state that they “prefer the original stylist to perform the adjustment under all but the most extenuating circumstances”; however, I was told my stylist wasn’t available (?) so I was scheduled (on April 19th) with another stylist. I asked if my stylist would be supervising this corrective colour, and was told ‘yes’. So, on April 19th I returned to the salon. My original stylist was not in the salon, nor a manager, even though the website FAQs indicate: “we’ll have one of our management team have a look as well so we can make sure you leave happy.” …Needless to say, the bare minimum was done to correct my hair colour and I even had to leave the salon with wet hair… I am very disappointed in this salon with regard to professionalism & customer service. Their website boasts “guests receive the first-rate service that they deserve”. I think their prices are too high, which are supposed to reflect their level of skill and experience. I frequently read reviews on businesses, the negative and the positive, that’s how I found this salon and this is why I was prepared to pay more than I would normally pay for this type of service, because of their great reviews. For the ‘review readers’ out there, I’m sharing my experience. Some of you may not have an issue with what is described above, it’s up to you, but I will not be returning to this salon. Chantelle has been doing my hair for quite a few years now, and I can’t imagine changing hairstylists. I used to go to a hairstylist until they screwed up and then would have to change...I’ve yet to have a bad haircut, or style, from Chantelle. She’s incredibly professional, on point with the latest trends, super engaging, and talented at what she does. The only downside is having to try and style it half as well as she does when I get home. It’s like they say those that are good at what they do make it look easy...for her she makes it look like a simple task!

The salon is very clean and looks very nice. The receptionist was also very pleasant and helpful. However I had a highly disappointing experience with Amy. She gave zero input or advice when discussing the hair cut at the start, which would be fine if she was able to deliver satisfactory results. However the haircut looked very amateur with unblended layers. There was no refinement to the cut. She made no effort to talk or communicate at all. The 2 stars are only for the receptionist and the cleanliness, but due to the service I received I have absolutely no interest in going back or to recommend this salon to anyone. For a $120 haircut this was an extremely disappointing experience.

If you need to have a change in your hairstyle, go for a walk in beautiful White Rock...you need to go to Sin 7. I had a visit for the first time at Sin 7. When you first arrive, you notice the big windows. I had the pleasure to my hair done by my"Hair Specialist" Amy. She was simply amazing! I wanted a change, from this day in ...day out...get up & go routine! Or even these days not even having a routine...just needed a change. Sin 7 was the answer. After a few questions of wondering what my daily routine was...Amy knew what I was looking for. Always, with a smile, not rushed, educating me how to style my hair in different ways. Making me feel comfortable. At the end, I was ready to pick up a coffee, meet up with some friends and head down to Marine Drive. You will love Sin 7 and definitely will be back. Thank you Sin 7. I booked this salon based on google reviews for my friends birthday to treat her. We both managed to get appointments at the same time. I was booked with a senior stylist who’s experienced services I paid extra for. We arrived 10-15 minutes late but called to let them know in advance. When we arrived my stylist’s body language and lack of interest in me was very evident. I smiled through it because we were celebrating. I was told I would not get a head massage because I was late but somehow my friend’s stylist managed to give her an extended head massage, offer added services and make her feel good (thank goodness it was her birthday and not mine). I understand I have longer hair but getting unpleasant service and paying extra for a senior stylist who just repeatedly reminded me all the things she couldn’t do anymore due to me being late was not what I paid for. What a disappointing experience. Unfortunately I cannot remember the stylists name but I would higly request the owner to refresh their senior staff on basic customer service. I asked for a blow out with loose waves and instead i got curling iron tight ringlets which I was asked to style myself. I still tipped out of courtesy but walked out feeling unsatisfied and sad. Special thanks to Brittany who did an amazing job on my friends hair. She will be returning to get her hair done again from Brittany.

Sin 7 Salon is the absolute BEST place to get your cut and coloured in White Rock, South Surrey and even Vancouver. I can say that because after years of trying to find my "perfect" hair salon around the Lower Mainland, I finally found it at Sin 7. I've actually had 2 stylists here, Trish and Kristin, and I love them both!! I started off with Trish because I wanted someone who was good with blondes (I'be had a few bad experiences elsewhere) and she was fantastic! I started seeing Kristin when Trish went on Mat Leave; Trish took the time to recommend who she thought would be best for me at the salon while she was gone and she was bang on with Kristin - she makes my hair dreams comes true. In fact, even my husband sees Kristin on a regular basis and won’t let anyone else touch his hair! It’s very rare to find a salon where I’d be comfortable seeing more than one stylist, but so far I’m 2/2 at Sin 7 and I would trust any of the stylists there. Their pricing is totally reasonable, customer service is on point, they use great Aveda product and really listen to what you want and give their recommendations - everyone is just so lovely here and management clearly hires great talent who love their jobs because everyone is always smiling and having fun and I have yet to see anything less than and amazing haircut walk out of there. Sin 7 Salon for life!

Had my hair done for Christmas party 2 yrs in a row. Both times the ladies did a magnificent job. They put a realĺy good effort in and my hair looked great. Condiments are offered upon arrival and your comfort is very important to the staff .
