I went there hair cut today. My hair is long. I asked lady if she can do it medium length and thin layer a little bit. I even show her picture of the length I want . She said yes it’s fine. But the end turned out my hair very short and no style. That Japanese lady don’t know what she is doing. I told her my hair is wavy but I do still have a little bit straightening I don’t want to short and straight length. She told me that she is gonna to fix it she didn’t make it more worse. My hair is very short now and charged 84 $ for nothing and plus tips. It’s the worst salon I ever been experienced. Obviously I want medium length that’s all. It looks bad. I didn’t want to pay but I was nice enough to pay the service that I m not happy . Just overpriced for nothing

My 13 year old son went here today while I was at work and got his hair cut. They charged him $55 plus tax for a hair cut??? Hes 13!! Yes, he should have discussed price prior to getting his hair cut BUT knowing hes 13 and without parental supervision I feel like good customer service would have been to discuss price with him before the hair cut! Hes in grade 8 and has a part time job, this cost him 1/4 of his monthly earnings! Just totally shocked at the lack of professionalism at this salon. Shame on them taking advantage of a 14 year old boy.

As a natural ashy dark blonde I have been dying my hair almost black for the past 3 years. In October I decided I wanted to start going blonde again and decided to go to a highly recommended and quite expensive salon in downtown Vancouver... my hair was orange. Which is typical since it was the first process from dark hair but frustrating because the girl doing it promised me a bunch of times that she could do it without leaving me with warmth. In early November Jackie from Hennessey South lightened it up a whole bunch and added a couple toners. It was still a warm blonde but a million times better! Now, December, I went back and she made me the brightest ashiest blonde! Love it. I literally went from layer upon layer of black dye to bright ashy blonde with minimal damage (considering what I was doing to my hair & that we used Olaplex) thanks to Jackie!!! SO happy with the finished product!! LOVE.

This company used to be great it used to be reputable and it used to stand for something unfortunately has been bought and sold so many times. They constantly lie to their employees. It is not the greatest environment to visit. Some stylist or desperate to hit different levels of commission and will overcharged colour services to make up for extra money.

Went there today and it was awesome! I walk in and they got me in a chair right away with a girl named Jackie. She did exactly what I wanted done with my hair. She was great all the staff were. The atmosphere was great as well. I live in Abbotsford and defiantly make the trip to go back there!

Hands down the WORST haircut experience I've ever had. The lady did the exact opposite of what I asked because she "thought" it would look better. Was growing out one side of my hair for the past 3 or 4 months and she cut it all off first thing... I told her I was unhappy with it and asked her to just shave my head. She kept insisting that it didn't look bad and wouldn't shave it. Now I've gotta go somewhere else and pay more money on top of the overpriced mess that's left on my head. I recommend going aaaanywhere but here.

I have been a client of hairstylist Silvana Amiri at Hennessy Park Royal for over 10 years. I’ve always loved the cut and colour she gives me. The salon underwent renovations a few years ago and is beautiful, clean and well laid out. They have been following all the COVID protocols to the letter and the salon has excellent spacing between stations. I would recommend Hennessy highly.

It was awfull, i did a eybrew styling and waxing the face ;the eybrew got awful and all my face has gotten lots of irritation and acne and injuries, and it was really painfull that i got anxious during the work but i told nothing. The price was 2.5 times more than any where else and when i didnt leave a tip they didnt even say bye to me!

I went to the salon recently browsing at products. I was approached by a female employee if I needed help but I said I was just looking. She kept on pushing me to purchase some skin products but I didn’t like the way she was so aggressive and the way she tried to sell me products even though I told her I was looking. I’m not sure if this place is run by commission but she was overly aggressive and I finally had to tell her that I will think about it and left. I called the salon and wanted to speak to the manager, and was told that the manager was not in. I asked the receptionist who the blonde employee was, and they said it was Sherri. I was turned off and will never be coming back again. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANNA BE HARASSED TO BUY PRODUCTS

I’m writing this 6 months late but I believe people should be warned before they are subjected to a place that is unsanitary and overpriced. I went there for a Brazilian 6 months ago I won’t lie I was a walk in but they were dead they had no in the store. I was told they do have availability and I was taken to a back room the Persian women who took me in confused the appointment for an eyebrow threading when told it was a full Brazilian she had a odd look on her face. None the less I was told to undress and wait in the room with the smallest towel ever to cover myself, the women used the same stick over and over again to apply the wax I was disgusted but I’m relatively shy in person so I just said nothing towards the end the wax was so hot it started burning my skin and to make things worse I had only 85% of the hair removed there was so much hair left over and wax residue was left on me. To top it all off she asked if she should do my backside... that’s included in a Brazilian ALWAYS. Then I was charged 75 dollars... typical if you visit a very nice salon downtown it cost roughly 35 - 45. I have never gone back and every time I walk by that place I’m honestly remind of that horrible experience. Please save your money and don’t risk the infection, go anywhere else but here!

i have been going to the same barber for over a decade, and after he retired i was worried that i wouldn't find someone that could cut my hair EXACTLY as i ask for. I was referred to Nicole at the salon and was skeptical at first. After the first haircut i received from her i was blown away, she not only did an amazing job but i have also referred all my friends, and cant say enough good things of her quality work and great personality. Defiantly see Nicole if you can shes giving me some of my best hair cuts ive ever had.

I have been here a few time, and each time I visit, I leave shaking my head. Hair staff are great, front of house staff Are AWFUL. Always get the sense of a attitude, and that I am annoying them. Transactions are blank, bland and super unhelpful. I have tried to buy product which was sampled on the shelves, and told that it was not available to buy, but I got the sense she could not be bothered to find it out back.

I asked for long layers and it turned out extremely choppy and lop sided. There were layers alright, but none of them made sense all together. With Henessey it's a hit or miss with the stylists. If you're lucky, remember the name of stylist that actually did your hair decently and don't let anyone else touch your hair from this place.

One of the worst hair cuts ever. As someone with curly hair, it is very hard to find a hairdresser, most hairdressers either cut much too little because they are nervous or cut much too much. The hairdresser also didn’t listen to what my directions were, I asked her to cut a little bit off of my bangs, she went to town hacking away. I would not recommend this to anyone. It is also incredibly overpriced $58 for a base cut is a horrible price for such lack of quality

I come to this salon probably every few months and am outstanded with the finishing product everytime! I get a simple cut and colour by your girl named Corina and I keep coming back because of how personable and talented she is and the rest of your employees! If I would recommend anyone who wants to diverge into the colour scene or experiment at all ask for Corina! I have nothing but good things to say about her. :)

I spent $40 for a layering job. I'm not satisfied with the uneven layers that I did get. I didn't get the over all shape I was hoping for. And afraid to go back because I don't want the same hairstylist to do my hair. I feel ripped off. Hennessey salon and spa.. you're too expensive and your hairstylists are terrible so far I have yet to have a positive experience at this salon.
