Amazing!! I just moved to the city and was really nervous to get my hair done because I wanted such a dramatic change. I am so happy I decided to go with this salon. Lisa was amazing, cheerful, very kind, and talented. I had messed up my booking for what I wanted -but Lisa made it work because she knew it was my first time at Romeos and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and got what I wanted. I was so greatful for this and she did such an awesome job I was more then pleased with my hair when I left. The complementary hand massage was a bonus, and I saw that everyone working there was making sure each client had wht they needed. 5/5 for sure!

Got my hair coloured this afternoon with Nicole. She was fabulous, and gave me the best hair colour I've ever had. I started going grey during the pandemic and wanted them blended naturally with my dark brown hair. Nicole took the time to ask me the right questions to make sure she understood what I wanted and could offer her expert opinion. We settled on something even better than I hoped for! Plus every single person working there was so sweet and chatty. I'm already looking forward to going back! :)

Massimo is a fabulous hair dresser, incredibly nice and easy going. Friendly staff and though it's expensive, they know what they're doing. Wouldn't recommend for formal make up application though.

I have curly hair (3c type) and I’ve opted to stay away from mainstream salon chains, assuming they wouldn’t know how to handle black hair. I took a chance and asked them for the stylist with the most experience cutting/styling curly hair. I got Massimo and I was not disappointed! It was quick, wonderful service from everyone I met and so reasonably priced, especially for all the extra perks (head/hand massage, complimentary tea). I’ve gone twice now and they are opening a new location in Kitchener. I’ll be sure to follow Massimo there. 10/10

Frank has been my awesome stylist for cut, color and highlights for the past 2 years. I’m extremely impressed with how talented he is in both cut and color. Very natural high and lowlights and I always love his haircut. I’ve had great stylists in NYC, Los Angeles and DC so I’m very picky but Frank is top notch. I also love the extra pampering... hot towel under your neck during a wash, complimentary hand massage and scalp massage. Beautiful salon and always on time. I highly recommend Romeo's!

She took great care and time in making sure my bangs were just right. She remembered details about me from previous conversations with my sister. I love this Salon! I’ve grown up in KWCambridge my whole life and when I found Romeos I knew it was the place for me. It’s an institution in the region and I totally understand why. The talent is incredible and the overall experience is unparalleled. I’m so picky about my hair and every time I get it done (it actually doesn’t even matter by who!) it’s perfect. I’m not normally one for buying hair products from a salon, but over the course of time I’ve tried a few in the Aveda line and I have to say I’m a convert. I’m never pressured to purchase anything, but overall they’re just an amazing product that’s affordable and does great things for your hair. I would absolutely recommend both locations to ANYONE looking for an awesome hair salon!

I went to the new location in DT Kitchener last weekend. I went in as very blonde, and I requested a shadow root for the winter. The girl that I went too has done my hair a few times now & I have always been happy with my blonde when leaving (note, she is new at this location). I don't think she had ever done a shadow root before, which is fine, but the paying customer should be advised of this and at the very least, shouldn't have to pay full price while being learned on. When I left that day, I had permanent dark brown dye on my roots and there were splotches of dark throughout my blonde where it bled. My hair went from dark brown, to brassy warmth, to silver blonde at the ends. Once I got home & straightened my hair, it was very noticeable. I texted the stylist, showing her pictures, she agreed for me to come back in a week later to fix it. This time, she used a Demi permanent dark brown on my roots and drug it down farther, losing more of my blonde, I requested that my money pieces be kept blonde, they are now brown and because an ash toner was put on top of a silvery toner, my hair turned green. When I left the salon however, my hair was blue from being overtoned, she offered to wash it out but i was in a rush as I had plans and this was my second saturday in a row spent in a salon chair. When I got home I shampooed 4 times with clarifying shampoo- as I was told to do & that's when the blue left, but it left me with green hair. I texted her to let her know & at this point I was extremely upset (not angry, I was crying in frustration). She told me to keep in mind that it will fade and to keep washing the blonde - I told her that I was going to have to go and get it fixed and pay alot of money to do so & I never heard back from here again. Instead, I was stuck having to go to another salon (a stylist who is amazing at fixing hair) & having to pay an extra almost $300 on top of the $200 I had to pay in the first place. I feel that I should have been offered to have my hair fixed by a more experienced stylist at Romes rather than be told to just keep washing my hair in hopes it fades or should have been offered my money back at the very least (Of Half of it!! - not to mention the 30$ tip that I left in the end). My hair was so bad that I cancelled my plans that Saturday night because it was so upsetting and humiliating. I would like to mention that the owners were not made aware of this situation so I am NOT blaming them, I am just not a confrontational person so I took my business elsewhere. LESSON LEARNED. I am not writing this to get her in trouble, I am just very upset at the money wasted and time wasted & now stuck trying to get a permanent dark brown from my hair when I decide to go back fully blonde again for the summer - not an easy process & big money waster.

Took my chances on this salon after reading some good reviews. I called and scheduled a hair appointment and made sure to ask that if I can get somone who has really good experience cutting curly hair. They said of course no problem. I go in and didn’t even get what I wanted. I just asked to cut off my dead ends and add layers because I need more volume. I still went home thinking I can probably make it work with some product but no luck so I called and ask if I can get my hair fixed . I go in and told her that I like the length of the cut but can we cut the layers a little more just need a little bounce. She ended up cutting my hair like this. My hands were shaking! I wanted to cry. Looked like she wanted to a mulet on me thank god I stoped her when she was getting to the back. I ended up asking her for her manager and told him my concerns and I can not believe that he agreed with the way she cut hair as layers. I’ve been too many salons never ever have I left looking like this. Layers from a mangers meaning like this picture ? As soon as he said that I put my hat and as ready to leave and he instead to fix it I told him that wouldn’t necessary plz I don’t trust you guys and after you agreeing that this was in fact a layer ? No thank you. Don’t need more damage to my hair :( overall I wish things went differently but very unprofessional treat your employees mistakes like the are correct. Asking me if I want my hair curly that this would will be fine because it blends. Like what ? I was hoping for managements help and they agreed with this type of work she done smhZ Somone with expiernce dosnt leave curly hair this way or in general. I won’t be coming back at all. End up going to another salon. And they were in shock with the way this person left my hair. They had not choice but to cut it in pixie form. Did an amazing job blending my horrible Layers.

Not only was it a fantastic haircut, it was a top-to-bottom world class haircutting experience. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by Danika, who kindly welcomed me with a friendly smile, took my jacket into storage, and offered me a beverage. I was impressed with the hospitality and cleanliness. The haircut also included a hot towel, hair washing, complimentary head massage, and even a complimentary hand massage. I also got advice on how to style my hair based on my hair profile. They really go above and beyond here at Romeo’s! Thanks to Nicole, I now look and feel like a new man. Every person I have seen in the last hour has noticed and commented on my new hair style I’ve received so many compliments it’s amazing! Friendly, accommodating staff. Very glad I went here for a new look. She knew exactly what I wanted and had an amazing scalp massage. I've been to many other salons in the KW area and have always been disappointed. Did not confront snobbery from younger female staff which is usually the case elsewhere I.e. tonic, technique was horrible and so was a the one on Weber near the Radisson - where Male staff had inappropriate topics of conversation. Furthermore I paid 400 for a full dye,some product and hairstyle at the previous salon. Just because you may own the salon doesn't mean you can charge whatever you like and make me listen to your garbage. Thankyou Romeo's ♡

Got done my partial highlights nd color from here approx 2 weeks ago. I opted a senior level professional thinking that i would recieve more advice on coloring my hair, but indeed it appeared that she wasn't able to give me proper direct answer. As a senior level professional she didn't gave me to the point suggestions of wht will look good acc to my hair or wt will go well. Though she heard all my queries patiently, appreciate that. Will even thank her for that. Products used were told to me for my knowledge nd the quality of products is excellent atleast untill now i can say. But i m just not fully happy as to how the color turned on my hair, i m sad for the shade it came to my hair which is not what i wanted, so in that matter i m not happy.

The salon itself was nice and the experience was ok (head massage, warm towel, welcoming staff, etc) but overall, I’m not happy. I went in to get my hair coloured/ highlighted and cut. The colour isn’t what I asked for even though I showed pictures and explained what I was looking for. I understand that I wanted to go from blonde to brown which is difficult, but if it wasn’t possible, I wish the stylist would have said so. I also asked for a little trim with minimal layers which is not what I got. I now have pieces that sit at least 2 inches above the rest of my hair which is making styling difficult. So, after spending $220 last weekend, I have an appointment somewhere else next weekend to get my hair fixed. Beyond the money I spent, I’m annoyed that I have to find the time to get my hair re-toned and more of my hair cut off to fix what was done last weekend...so much for growing out my hair. This was my first time at Romeo’s and I won’t be back.

I had a very bad experience. First of all is way too expensive, I paid more than $200 for something that should be around $100. Second of all, my hairdresser literally tortured me. Even after a few days, my scalp hurts, she pulled out the wrapped aluminium foils without unwrapping them. I probably lost so much hair during my time there. Even the head massage was unbearable. She was in a big hurry, so she did a very poor job. She said if I don't like it I can come another time to redo it. No way! To get tortured like that..

I had the opportunity to have Ivana dye, cut and style my hair. She helped me when employed at another salon but I wanted to show my support at her new salon she’s working at currently (Romeo). I had bleached my hair in the past and it was awkward and growing out, I asked to have my hair dyed a darker brown. Ivana walked me through the whole process and made sure I was happy with the colour selection before proceeding. There has been times I’ve been surprised with the colour results so I really appreciated this. Ivana did an amazing job with my hair, I was beyond thrilled with the results. I have struggled to find hairdressers that can manage my curly and thick hair, until I worked with Ivana. It was a really relaxing session and I really enjoyed myself. I would recommend Ivana’s services very highly, she does incredible work! Worth the trip from Toronto! The before and after speaks for itself. Thanks again Ivana!
