Mr Lee is the best, super friendly and knows how to cut hair. It is hard to find a barber who can cut asian hair well, Mr Lee knows how to cut hair, shows you movie trailers while you're getting your hair cut, washes your hair afterwards and pays attention to detail. After moving away from Waterloo pretty much permanently, I really appreciate Mr Lee's service. He cuts, washes, dries, checks, and cuts again - most places just cut and blow, and after you shower at home, the hair can look a bit loop-sided and rough edged. Also he picks good styles. When I travelled abroad for 3 month, I never needed to cut my hair and it still looked good. If a teleporter exists I would use Mr Lee's hair salon wherever I go.

A honest hairdresser gets the jobs done. Have been going to have my haircut done here for the last several years. He is a very patient and efficient guy. Pretty much you can get an appointment a day ahead of time. Cost is about 25$ for a haircut. If you know him and he knows what you are looking for, he can give you great consistency! Unfortunately I have moved to a different city otherwise I would have gone back to get my hair cut there

Great service and excellent prices. Mr. Lee puts a heavy importance on cleanliness due to COVID such that he makes sure to open the door for me as I was leaving and provided disinfectant as I entered. The service otherwise appears to be unaffected and was very efficient. As someone else posted before, he has excellent skills and capabilities. I liked that he didn't use clippers extensively but instead used both scissors and clippers depending on the task at hand. The process of cut, hair wash then follow-up trimming was excellent. My hair hasn't ever looked so good. Will definitely be back.

Came here for my first haircut since the lockdown. My hair in the front just about went past my eye at this point, but nothing crazy. The good: - Mr. Lee seems like a nice guy - COVID protocols are taken seriously. Masks on at all times and you can smell the sanitizer being used on various surfaces The meh: - The haircut I ended up with was very standard, but for some reason I was charged more than expected. The price listed "27 & up" for mens haircut and mine came out at 35 + Tax. Mr. Lee didn't give a good explanation of why, nor was he upfront about the additional costs, only saying something along the lines of "only this time". I don't understand??? I guess my hair was longer than usual, but I've definitely left hair to this length before and has never been charged extra like this at any other salon. I checked the time and the whole haircut took ~30 min which feels pretty standard for haircuts. There was no back up customers either, so I'm extremely confused. Oh and my hair was clean too as I had washed it prior to coming in. If he was going to charge me extra for starting with longer length hair, it would be nice to be informed of it upfront. - Water was too hot when my hair was being washed, and the basin was extremely uncomfortable. There was support lacking somewhere and I had to exercise my neck muscles to keep my head up or else I would have to painfully rest my neck on the basin. I usually go to hair salons in Toronto so maybe my expectations are too high, but I think I'll stick to going to Toronto for my haircuts.

I have been going to Mr. Lee's since it was located in Belmont in Kitchener. I make the trip to Waterloo to the new location because the service is amazing. You can actually make an appointment, he is always on time (like every, single, time). Basic haircuts are 30 minutes, exactly. You get a cut and wash, a great haircut and the price is fair. Cash or e-transfer only so come prepared. Highly recommend Mr. Lee's!

Sean Lee is a master hair cutter according to many experienced hair dressers in Kitchener Waterloo area. Mr Lee's has been in the area for over 45 years. Sean comes from a Long Line of Lee's. He carried the tradition from his distant cousins, Dong and Jong Lee who started at Cavaliers hair cutters in early 70s in the last century. You just won't get a better cut or service anywhere else, guaranteed.
