I'm new to Victoria and was looking for a new hair stylist (scary stuff when you've been with the same person for many years!) I lucked out with a Saturday appointment last week with Carrie Ann. I understood she was new but went with my gut and gave her a whirl! What I didn't know is her 25 years of experience in Edmonton and I had a really lovely appointment with her. As much as it's important to like the end result with the hair (which I did), it's also really nice to enjoy the person you're hanging out with for 3+ hours! If youre looking for someone new to do your hair, I wouldn't hesitate to book with Carrie Ann :)

I hate to admit I go to a "salon". It doesn't seem manly but there you have it. I have never had a better haircut and as I age I need more expertise to make me look good. Vanessa cleaned up the mess left by my former barber and I love the result. I spend much less time fighting with the cowlicks and I like the result. I don't care if anyone else likes it. So all's good. Nuff said. Oh, and the people here are like family. Every visit is like a reunion. Now nuff said.

Helen cut my hair just exactly the way I asked for and I couldn't be happier. She was refreshingly willing to listen carefully and understand what I was after without any attitude. Some of my past experiences in other salons have been disappointing because despite explaining what I wanted I ended up with their version of what they think I should have done. Helen was friendly but not overly chatty so I could relax and enjoy the experience. The salon has lovely big windows that let in loads of natural light and the staff were all pleasant and professional. I'll be back for sure.

AMAZING WEDDING HAIR! Liz and her team were absolutely fabulous. I was in Victoria for my destination wedding and everything from the booking process to the final product was outstanding. When I came in for my trial Liz was very thorough and created my vision beautifully. Not only that, but the other stylists and salon environment were excellent, relaxing and very friendly. On the wedding day they were attentive to everything and super accommodating. My bridesmaids brought champagne and the salon provided glasses. They even didn't mind working around us as we ordered in breakfast. They fully embraced that this was an exciting day and had no problem with us celebrating. My 4 bridesmaids and I all had gorgeous hair that lasted all day. It looked like artwork. Thanks Lavish <3

Sounds posh, and the personal treatment is, but the people are down to earth and a pleasure to see. Attention short-haired gyals! This is the first review I've ever posted, in my many years existing within Yelp culture. I have tried several different salons in Victoria to manage my short pixie cut, and ended up with several mediocre to bad haircuts. Cue Kelsey, who deftly and confidently gave me the first haircut I've felt really good about since moving here. As an added bonus, she's super lovely and easy to talk to. Do your short hairs a favour and entrust them to Kelsey!

Lavish is a wonderful salon. The owner, Liz, truly goes above and beyond for clients. I have had product delivered to my house during covid and she has been so wonderful to communicate with me outside of opening hours to set up an appointment. I see Kelsey at Lavish and cannot recommend her enough. She is warm, friendly, and a fabulous stylist! She does a beautiful balayage and cut, and I am always happy with the results.

I have been coming to Olivia for a little less than a year. When I first started coming my hair was so dry and brittle and unhealthy - I had spent so much money on professional products over the years but it seemed like no matter what I did my hair would not get healthier. I thought I just had “bad” hair. In less than a year I have seen a dramatic change in my hair. It is actually shiny and soft and as grown a considerable amount in a relatively short period of time. It’s so obvious that Olivia not only loves what she does but is actually invested in her clients and genuinely cares about taking care of their hair and doing an amazing job. I’ve realized over the past year that my hair was never “bad” I just wasn’t coming to the right person. IBE (extensions) have also been great for me. First of all they are so fun. The transformation you can get from them is so dramatic - I felt so beautiful after my first installation, and got so many compliments. Also I feel like having extensions has helped my own hair get healthier because I don’t have to style/colour my own hair as often as I would have to without extensions. Can’t recommend Olivia or IBE highly enough ☺️

Since moving to Victoria not long ago, I have had some difficulty finding a salon that I trust. Lavish did a very good job at highlighting and doing a nice cut of my treasured hair. The only thing I would suggest, is definitely making sure you don't mind paying a hefty budget for your hair 'do and sitting in a chair for three hours while your tush goes numb. I've gotten my hair done probably hundreds of times, and this was definitely the longest I've sat, and the most I've paid. In the end, a head of foils and a small trim ended up costing me $205.00 without a tip. Besides that, I would suggest going to Lavish and I will definitely go again!

When I booked my appointment with Olivia I was excited, but I had no idea that it would be an honestly life changing appointment. Olivia asked for photos of my “dream hair” so I sent her some knowing full well this is not something I would ever be able to have. The day of my appointment Olivia walked me though what was going to happen and the IBE process. I was excited. Then all her hard work started, dying my natural hair (twice) and the extensions with the exact tones I wanted. The install was absolutely flawless and so precise. When we were finished and I got to see my hair firsthand I was speechless. I had tears in my eyes. It was exactly my dream hair. I have had my IBE extensions in for almost 3 weeks now and everyday I love them more. Olivia has literally transformed my hair life ❤️ Thank you!!!!!
