The first time I went into the salon, I went in for a shampoo and a blow dry. Forrest was the stylist I was booked with. After spending 45 minutes with him, I appreciated his calm, kind and attentive manner.
I knew he would be the perfect stylist to bring my elderly mother to.
Since my mother moved to Vernon three years ago, she has pretty much been bedridden and has not had a salon cut since she moved here.
Not only does my mother have walking and balance issues she also has sensory sensitivity issues. She’s very sensitive to noise and other environmental issues, that make going out very difficult.
After meeting Forrest and visiting the salon, I made an appointment over the telephone and explained the situation to him. He was so understanding and accommodating and we made an early evening appointment for my mother, when the salon would be quiet. All I had to do was walk her to the door and upon arrival he met us at the door took her by the arm and I came back 45 minutes later to my extremely happy smiling and beautiful mother! I have not seen her looking so radiant in nearly 3 years! It was so cute because before we went in, she asked me if I thought $10 was a good enough tip to give a stylist. Secretly I thought, “absolutely not!” But I wasn’t about to tell my senior citizen mother that. But when I got there to pick her up she whispered to me, “I want to give him $20!”… I smiled and I knew everything has gone extremely well! He held the door open for us as we left and she exclaimed, “ I’ll see you soon Forrest !”
Coming from a woman that leaves the house MAYBE once every three months, that’s QUITE the endorsement!
When I asked her how thing went she said , “ he LISTENED to me! He did EXACTLY what I wanted , I didn’t have to say , “ shorter, shorter”, he just listened the FIRST time and did what I wanted! AND he made conversation with me and we chatted, he really is very kind, thank you for taking me there!”
THANK YOU FORREST!!!
You are so very appreciated!!
