The lost of the stars is the lack of business ethics (borderlining false advertising). The receptionist refused to honour their 20% off even after I asked and there is a huge sign that takes up about 1/4 of their window. She said that I had to mention it when I making the appointment; not after even though the sign had no mention of it at all. Most businesses that I have been to in the past, will offer the discount as a proactive customer service retention tactic even if the client is unaware of it. One would think the ethical thing to do is to honour the discount when a customer asks rather than deny based on technicality. This leaves for a very bitter experience. Which is unfortunate as I am quite happy with Katrina; their new hire. If it was just Katrina, I would have given this place 4 stars and continue to be a returning customer. But as it stands, I will consider other options in the future as there is no shortage of hairstylists in town; not to mention there's at least 2 other salons in Richmond Centre that I'm aware of.

Highly recommend it! I am so impressed with this place. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with exceptional courtesy and warmth. My hairdresser Tomo turned simple wash and blowdry into luxurious spa like experience. I loved the fact that you get lie down for a wash, get an eye mask and warm blanket. She massaged my head and neck and I have to say her technique was simply outstanding. I will be coming back for sure and recommend this place to my clients and followers. 5 stars!

Highly recommend getting a hair cut at Air Hair Salon. The staff were warm and friendly, I got a great haircut, and I was treated with not one but two relaxing and extended head massages at the beginning and end of the cut. I've never received more than a brief head massage at hair salon before, and let me tell you that it was a game changer. And to top it all off, there was no sticker shock - the price was very reasonable. Tomo (Erika) cut my hair (which is notoriously difficult to style) and she did a great job, so I recommend asking for her if you decide to get your haircut here. Thanks for the great cut, Tomo!

I was a bit concerned about there being a language barrier, but everyone there is great! My stylist Nao did a great job listening to what I wanted. She even took the time to answer my questions. Bonus: The hair washing chair are massaging! (if you aren't into that then they will turn it off of course)

A few years ago, I wanted to dye my fading green hair back to brown. They said they could do that. But they ended up double beleaching my hair in one session to the point it was so damaged I wouldn't even touch it without huge chunks flaligns out, then they said they couldn't finish the color day and and had me come back to get it dyed again. This whole time I'm listening to them cause I think they are professional and know what they are doing. But in the end I ended upspending $550 over two sessions to due my hair a color I'd don't even want, and have my hair be so damage that I had to CUT IT ALL OFF a few days later because it was so Vasily damaged. If they couldn't perform the hair service while keep the integrity of my hair they should ahve told me instead of going a headwith it and making it so bad.

I've had a few haircuts at Air Hair Salon over the years - I usually go with Kengo but this time I had Hannah and both stylists are very attentive, kind, and talented. I've never had any complaints! The salon is very clean (both in the past and especially now with new safety protocols), spacious, and all staff have proper PPE. Very easy and quick to book an appointment over the phone. While it's not the cheapest haircut, I think prices are fair/standard for downtown Vancouver and the skill/experience of the stylists.
