I love this place. I was referred here by a friend because I needed a colour correction before I went to Europe and needed it to last for an extra week or so- They did a great job with the mess I had made trying to do it myself (I changed my mind mid-bleach from brown because it went blotchy! eek!). They go that extra mile to make sure you feel special and beautiful from the warmth to the skills, from the cappucino to the wine to little snacks and all of the super fun and friendly staff. I've gone back twice and they do a great job from cutting, to colour, to styling.

Terrible experience. Had a 1:45pm appointment, was running ten minutes late, called ahead, the receptionist was like, "if you're one minute over ten minutes late, he's cancelling your appointment." Literally raced to get there, showed up 11 minutes late, the stylist comes to the door and says with a smile, "unfortunately you're too late and I'm gonna have to cancel." After leaving work to go there, the receptionist and stylist were so rude and unaccommodating, and seemed to take pleasure in turning me away. Had an appointment with Jamie, he was really not nice about it. Unfortunate experience.

I had a haircut with Jhade in February. She showed great passion and pride for what she does, and she was uncommonly kind! However she definitely made some mistakes. Jhade showed some inexperience with my extreme coarse and dense hair texture. My haircut was soon out of shape and she left a "hole" on the left side during thinning process, which will take me approximately 6 months to grow it back to a fixable length.

I went to get my hair cut with Stacy and it was a great experience. Not only is she personable and nice, she took the time to do a proper assessment and explain in detail what she thought would be a good cut based on my face shape and was very honest too. I went in with long thin hair and wanted to cut off a few inches to take off the old blonde highlights. She made sure she was cutting the right length by checking in with me before snipping more hair off. Additonally, she texturized it so the hair had movement and flow instead of wispy and too layered. I will def. come again to Stacy :)

It was my first time at Hair By David & Co. I went in for a colour and cut appointment with Elle. The result was exactly what I wanted if not more. I loved my hair colour and unexpectly my hair cut even more. I initially planned on just keeping the same straight style and just trim the split ends but Elle did some magic on my hair. She gave me a really chic shoulder length cut with some natural waving at the tips. I love it! Not to say that Elle is also a sweetheart, very kind and polite! She made me feel very comfortable during the session, no pretenses. I will visit there again, no doubt! :D

This is advice I can take home with me but I'd much rather re-visit Stacey in Toronto for my next hair appt.! This place has comfortable washing stations and a beautiful view. I highly recommend it.

I’m really picky with my haircuts and it took a lot for me to finally try a hairdresser in Toronto (moved recently). I’m so happy I picked Hair by David, and had Jhade to cut my hair. She really took the time to understand what I wanted and I absolutely loved my hair! Plus, they have amazing hair washing sinks - doesn’t hurt your neck at all so you can actually enjoy a head ‘massage’. Pricing seemed comparable with other Toronto salons - maybe even a little lower than others, but I’m not that familiar with Toronto hair salon pricing. I also liked that it was a smaller salon. Can’t wait for my next visit!

My appointment with Giselle to colour with the excellent formulation colour advise from Jaimie, and blow dry was perfect. The blow dry after the colour left my hair looking shiny and fabulous. In fact, it was he best salon blow dry I have ever had. Giselle is the blow dry specialist at the salon and she really is the best! The selected salon products are top of the line. I am sensitive to colour and tend to react to chemicals. The products at Hair By David from the colour to the shampoo (gorgeous non-mainstream Italian line) are gentle with lots of great fortifying and nourishing ingredients for the hair and scalp. I had no reaction to any of the products. Next time I think I need a haircut, maybe all I need is a pick me up blow dry from Giselle!

I got my hair cut and coloured (with cool blonde balyage) by Jhade, and she did an amazing job! She asked me questions the whole way through, and really made sure I was getting the style I wanted. Not only did I leave absolutely loving my new look, but I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. The whole staff truly went above and beyond to make the whole experience fantastic. I was delighted with a (surprisingly) delicious cup of frothy coffee, and I was even given a fuzzy blanket when it got a little chilly under the A/C! Got highlights and a cut with Jamie last week. Both experience and results were awesome! Jamie knew exactly what I wanted. I generally get a cut and coloring almost every month because I have short hair and unfortunately I am one of those annoying perfectionists. This was my first time with Jhade and despite not having the title of a Sr. stylist I found her far superior to so called senior stylists at other boutique salons that I have been to in the past. She is super friendly and personable and listens to what you want and then Delivers on that. She takes her time and is extremely meticulous and I would say the level of service she provided would cost twice as much in another salon.

THE BEST hair salon. Jamie was incredible and went beyond what I expected. He knew more about my hair type than I did and was up to date with current trends, which was so refreshing. I didn't even have to explain the specificities of my flat/fine hair, he took the scissors and worked his magic. He explained everything he was doing in detail, taught me how to style my hair and talked me out of getting bangs. After all, friends don't let friends get bangs... unless they rly want to, and I didn't want to, I just wanted something different and Jamie delivered. I am a former Torontonian living in Houstin who is visiting for the summer and I wanted a good haircut. Houston has great food but their hair professionals are lacking in skills and creativity (gone through 4 hairdressers already). I found this salon from a Google search and decided to give Jamie a try after reading reviews. He is as good as his reviews suggest! He didn’t drastically change my look but gave me a modern “freshening up”! Most of the time I don’t like how a stylist would style my hair but I loved how he styled mine, really considering my hair’s texture! The best surprise was many hours later, when the day’s heavy humidity (and sweating) undid most of his styling, amplifying the volume of my wavy hair...normally that gives me a big poofy hair mess and my hair was big all right but it looked great still, because the cut was good. It’s been a few days now and I find that my hair looks good without much styling at all after washing! Thanks so much Jamie! I’ll definitely be back when we return permanently to TO!

She's lovely to chat with (which makes a big difference when you have a long appt), highly knowledgeable, and very committed to making sure you're happy with the final result of your appt before leaving. I've come for both a haircut and cut and balayage and would highly recommend. Super nice stylist and receptionist, calm and nice salon. Unfortunately the stylist doing my hair may have not been the most experienced with my kind of hair (super long and thick). She cut 10” of my hair when I made sure to let her know not to cut more then 2” also my layers are super uneven extremely choppy in the front with piece longer in the front followed by shorter piece leaving hole of missing hair. Unfortunately not a good hair cut .

They have recommended hair products that give my hair more volume. I can`t say enough good things about this team. They really are the best!

Aside from her super nice personality, she gave an amazing head massage and a lovely round brush style that is lasting me the week. This is a very small salon where 2 lawyer friends of mine are regulars in a high rise building on the 5th floor. In addition to providing hair services, the salon also sells high quality hair products. If you are looking for a great blow out style, I would definitely recommend Giselle.
