I was very excited about the balayage but i ended up wasting $$$ because it only had added damage and barely any difference from how it was before, except it being slightly lighter. I had to go to a different salon to get it fixed and when she saw my hair she was shocked to find that the back of my hair barely had any highlights, she got me the hair that I wanted and gave me a color correction for the poor job that was done to my hair which I had to pay even more to get fixed. Going Here was disappointing due to the lack of willingness to even try and help fix the hair and she seemed more annoyed that I was not happy or elated about the hair when it was so off from how it was in the picture that I sent her of how I wanted it and she kept trying to convince me it was light and looked good. To top it all off she tried to style and curl my hair but my hair was so crispy from all the built up product and whatever product that was in my hair that the curls just stuck together, she was in such a rush to get me out of the seat to go to the next client that I don’t think she bothered to wash off the bleach after I convinced her to go in with it to get the face frame I had asked for (In which she showed great reluctance and annoyance). Overall it was a poor job and very very rushed. I still left a small tip because she gave me a discount, but I felt like it should have been worth less then $150 because of how it looked at the end (barely any change, very damaged, crispy crunchy product filled curls, uneven highlights).

I moved into the area recently so gave them a try. Haircut was very ordinary and they did not put any thought or effort into it. It was more like get it done as quickly as possible. Sitting there and waiting for around 15 min, they seems to be more thoughtful about their old clientele. Totally not worth the visit. I would be going back to Sora although they are way to far but their effort to do the best in every visit is worth it

I have been going to this salon for many years. I will only go to this salon. I was there today and I am really impressed with how clean it is and all of the precautions they have taken to ensure their clients feel safe and comfortable. Allie does my hair and I would recommend her to anyone. She is very friendly and doesn’t rush you at all and takes into consideration what you would like done to your hair. She is professional and knows what she is doing. I would also recommend Leah, Lorenzo, or Anthony. I have known them the longest and have had my hair done by each of them at one point. All great stylists ???? I would give this salon a 10/10 if I could ????

It's too bad that I've had several poor to awful experiences here over the past 18 months as I live down the street and it was a convenient salon for both my daughter and myself. I've feel like I've given them enough chances. I hate when I book a certain stylist and due to their own poor time management skills end up getting fobbed off on another stylist who does a crummy job. Last time I was there I to go to another place to have my cut redone two days later because it had been cut so badly (I have really short hair so that kind of thing is really noticeable). I've recommended this place to others in the past and now I'm sorry I did. I'd avoid like the plague.

Went to this place for the first time with questions about what can be done with my hair since it was improperly dyed last year and is problematic. The woman I was given, didn't even give me her name upon request, wouldn't give me a chance to respond before moving into another topic, tried to gaslight me into seeing a reddish dye as purple, wouldn't let me see the book full of hair colors despite me AND my mother asking for it and ended the horrendous conversation with, "maybe you should come back when you have a plan so that we don't have to play guessing games," thing is, I wasn't guessing. I had an idea of what I wanted but I needed to ask this woman questions due to my problematic hair and wanted to point out a hair color I couldn't properly describe but she just would not hand over the book. I couldn't ask questions because she kept changing the topic, she gaslit me, overwhelmed me and patronized me as if I was retarded. The conversation basically was, "I need to ask you questions before I can answer," and they were like, "well we need answers before we can answer your questions." I am humiliated, I am upset and my entire day is ruined. Now I have to somehow cram an appointment with the amateurs I had dye my hair the last time before I have to leave on my trip. Thank you so much for ruining my entire vacation.

I am absolutely amazed by the cut and colour Allie did for me. I am blown away at how professional and skilled she is. The salon overall is very clean, and the staff is wonderful. They are very friendly and make you feel at home. I have been stopped by strangers asking me where I have gotten my hair done and I am so quick to give Younique salons number, this place needs more recognition. I never leave reviews on anything but I really had to for Allie because she has given me hope again that hairstylists can cut and colour your hair the way you want it.

Arrived on time with my 91 year old mother who hasnt had her hair cut in a year. I work overnights and sleep during the day, but stayed up to take her. I told the guy this information when I booked it. I had to go personally to the location to book as no one answered the phone whenever I called. Upon arriving we were told the stylist was coloring someones hair and wouldnt be too long. There was one seat my mom could sit on, I stood. After 30 minutes of waiting it did not appear that the stylist was close to being ready. No one approached us to check in or apologize for the wait, or appeared to care. At that point we said we were leaving. Someone on the way out said sorry about this. And that was it. We will never go there again. Unprofessional and disrespectful. On the way home stopped into Moretti's Hair Salon in the plaza at Kingston Rd and Midland. Tracey was able to take her right away and did a great job cutting her hair. Customer service and attention to clients matters. DONT GO TO YOUNIQUE IF THIS MATTERS TO YOU!

I went to younique needing a very specific and difficult dye job, not only did they do a completely amazing job on my hair but the treatment I received from the staff was unlike any hairdressers I've been to, they welcome you in like family and tend to every single need you have. I've finally (after much looking) found a permanent salon to have my hair taken care of and will be recommending younique to all of my friends and family!

Wow... unbelievable that I could leave the salon with a cut that was far from what I described or shown in a photo and believed/trusted the stylist saying she understood what I wanted and was very good at doing bobs. It was even worse than I thought when I got home and saw the mess up close. After being referred by an acquaintance to go there plus reading reviews on here, I am more than disappointed (to put it mildly)!!

They will work with you and provide honest consultation and professional opinions, while maintaining a friendly attitude. They have evolved together with the trends and styles over the years. Just make sure you book appointments ahead of time, as they tend to get very busy due to the growing loyal customer base.

Once I walked in it seemed like the lady was irritated by the colour of my hair and how many sessions it would take me to achieve the look I want. She didn't understand how people even liked the colours of my hair. She was aggressive with my head/hair and consistantly reminding how damaged and how unappealing it was. So much commentary that was not needed. She didn't even do close to what I wanted, it was like she was just trying to get rid of me. While washing my hair the water got into my ears and down my shirt, she did not cover my ears. She did not want to dry my hair and got her two workers to do it, while drying my hair they put the dryer very close to my scalp; eventually my scalp felt burnt. The lady told me not to dye my hair anymore because the colour I wanted would not be able to be lifted and I would bald. Take in consideration my hair is very thick and is very strong. I wanted a simple balayage with some highlights. As I was there I booked an appointment with a girl in another salon and she was able to achive the look within a day with no complaints and no irritation; which the lady at Younique Salon said it would take me 5 sessions. I paid 120 for one damn colour that I did not even want at Youqiue salon. Most of the staff members are nice, but not entirally professional.

If you are looking for professionals, this is your place to go! Visited for the first time after days of surfing the internet for a decent hairdresser/stylist in the area. Would give this place 6 stars if I could. The staff is amicable and accommodating. (I was able to get scheduled within the same day despite the busy schedule at the salon). Lorenzo, the hairstylist and the owner of the place, has many years of experience and he truly does magic as he works with your hair. From the moment he greets you he knows right away and exactly what you want, he explains the details and can also recommend (if you are hesitant, trust his advice 100%) what would even better suit your type of hair. Then he starts to create the beauty so passionately and swiftly! I was amazed how my hair got transformed in a matter of minutes. (I have long fine hair and it badly needed a better shape still keeping the length.) At the end of my visit the change was spectacular. Trust Lorenzo's professional opinion and you will not regret. He is an absolute master of his trade and he does it at a very affordable price. Your visit is worth every single dollar, if your hairstylist is Lorenzo.

Wow im extremely impressed with this little gem of a salon. I had Agyness the hairstylist fix my hair. I came in looking drab and came out looking fab! This women is ammmmmazzzzing. She's so thorough and meticulous she's has great attention to detail. She made sure that I was comfortable with her suggestions. She asked me lots of questions. She would always show me how much hair she was going to cut. Her cuts are super amazing her blow drys are amazing. I look so good that Mrs Victoria Secret has nothing on me...... I felt like I was at home not judged. The team at salon younique are amazing. Keep up the good work....... So if your looking for a new salon you certainly found the one...... So ladies ditch your Bayviews and your Yorkvilles. This is the real deal these people love there jobs and it certainly shows.....

I have been getting my hair done with these folks since Warden Woods days! I haven’t let anyone else touch my hair in 38 yrs and have been driving from Peterbourgh(I moved there 25 yrs ago). They treat you like family, give honest and professional consultation and I have never been unhappy leaving there! Prices are reasonable and they do an amazing job and colour, cut and style! Highly recommended! Props to all the staff!
