I actually had such an amazing experience here with Laura!!! Call Laura because she is amazing! I had a previously horrific experience at another salon and I came here to have my hair fixed. And when I say horrific I mean every girls worst nightmare. I left with neon pink hair, looking like my little pony, and looking like my 3 year old cut my hair. I was so scared to go to another salon again!!! But Laura did such a good job and gave me exactly what I wanted. Coloured my roots, perfect toner and a beautiful cut. I am so so so happy. On top of that, she cut my daughters hair and got it all ready to be donated. Would highly recommend Laura to anyone!!! Thank you!!!

It is very disappointing to find out the only person I would ever trust with my hair is no longer there. I had been getting my hair cuts from Rachael for about 8 years after a bad experience with one of the other stylists there. The other stylist did such a horrible job I was in tears... Rachael stepped up, reassured me that she would fix it and she did! Rachael was a great asset to this salon and will be missed. The salon should however not be telling customers she retired when in fact she was bullied out!!! I will follow Rachael wherever she ends up, and I would be happy to discuss this review with the district manager!

I got the exact style i wanted. it is a long time I had been waiting for a cut due to the covid.My hair was overgorwn,and showed nothing of my prior style..Now I FEEL LIKE I AM BACK TO ME.FANTASTIC JOB ,Sarah Wilde did an amazing job. And her co worker Britteny Jassic is also a very talented stylist.I know this because she also cut Sarah Wilde"s hair.What let me to the salon was the cut that Britteny the stylist had.I had known she of course couldnt cut the back of her hair in that style herself.She told me her associate Sarah does hers.I was so looking forward to finding a stylist as I had recently moved from out of town..Upon Sarah doing my hair I mentioned she has a very nice texturized cut.She said Brittany had done it.I to got my hair texturized, Sarah did a great job texturizing me .hair. I got a lady who had golden blonde hair and seemed like she was the owner of the store. I just got a haircut no colour quickly for thanksgiving and I wanted a massive change and chopped off half my hair. I asked for the length to be to my armpit and very long layers to make the cut not look blunt. Lady made layers a bit to short and my hair a bit to short but I still love how it turned out. I suggest saying what you want but half and inch longer and then you will get your desired length. Lady gave me lots of tips but seemed like she was trying to sell me everything in her store. I felt a bit guilted into buying something so I bought some of the design line silk drops and I will admit there very good. I was expecting to pay 30$ but price quickly made its way all of the sudden to 52$. Overall pretty good experience. But wouldn’t choose to go here again, I had no choice because all hair cutters were closed on thanksgiving Monday except them and I decided to take the chances.

I will just post what I put on Facebook. Just remember I was happy with my hair. It's not the point here I went to walmart to the salon cause I wanted high lights. And didnt want to send to much on it. I had color and foils and a trim and dry. No curl or straightening. When I went to pay I was shocked it 200. I never said a word to the girl. She was good and dont make the prices. So I called there head office to see if there was a mistake. Nope in fact she didnt charge enough. Should have been more cause my hair is past my shoulders. This is how it was broke down. I am just gonna round up the numbers. 88. For foils ( cause past the shoulders) then 58 for color ( should have been more cause past the shoulders. 26 for cut and dry only That adds up to 172. Then tax is 22 GRAND TOTAL FOR A SALON IN WALMART IS 194 then tip!!!!! I could have went to a much nicer salon than walmart. Listening to kids crying and people everywhere. So just heads up. Just because it's in a walmart building it dont make it a cheaper place to go!! I would have expected this price a nice quite salon that offers you coffee or water. Not a walmart salon. Very unhappy customer!!!????????????????

I arrove at the hair salon with dark red hair, but about 3 inches of new hair growth was a beautiful rich copper/orange and my roots were bleach blonde and dark blonde, my hair looked like a weird piece of candy corn (after a bad experience from Sally's) it was also stiff, dry, and crunchy from the products that I used from Sally's. But a hairstylist (or more accurately hair magician) named Bianca was able to use her immense talent to transform my hot mess of a rats nest into the most stunning/striking copper/orange shades I have ever seen! I can't stop smiling, the cut she gave me feels so much lighter, my hair is so soft, and the colour is just out of this world! Freaking hair sorcery! *two week update* the colour completely faded after one wash ???????????? I loved the colour but it wasn't worth $300 to only last one week

*Since I can't reply to the owner directly: the store is not under new ownership since I was there YESTERDAY. I sent an email to corporate that I am waiting to hear back from. I am at MINIMUM due a refund from my haircut yesterday and compensation to fix this mess on my head which is going to take MONTHS and multiple trips to the salon. I could have put my hair in a blender and come out with a better cut. Just an FYI I asked for a BOB with the underside slightly shorter, how that translated into "give me a Karen" I have no clue. Why the side of my hair is cut super short next to a section that is super long? I was being really nice in my original review. This place is hit or miss. I came in and had a wonderful haircut and a few months later the same stylist gave me what is probably the worst haircut of my life. Unfortunately she cut it so short and choppy there isn't even anything I can do about it until it grows out (then I can spend more $$$$ somewhere else to fix her mistake). She seemed to know things had gone wrong since she never offered me the mirror to approve my cut, unfortunately I didn't realize how bad it was until I was home. Brought my husband here for a post COVID cut and the stylist he had seemed scared and barely cut anything at all off, I kept telling her to cut more and finally he just gave up.

The old lady who just cut my boyfriends hair absolutely butchered it. He specifically told her not to touch the length on the top of his head and just wanted the side and back faded. She did not listen AT ALL! His hair used to fall in his face when he didn't style it and that is how he likes it, but now he has barely any to even style!! Maybe you shouldn't cut hair if you can't listen to what your client wants! Wish he had gotten Rachel because she actually had him leaving happy. Unfortunately we won't be going back.

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. This lady with curly, red hair, below shoulder length. Was being rough with my 4 year old son. I was standing with my son while she cut his hair. I told her prior to starting, that he was a bit afraid because he had a bad experience before. (Had a fall and doctor put glue to close his cut, and glue was hard to get out and hurt him) She did not try to comfort or assure him it was ok and talk with him in a caring tone. Instead she was rude af and rough. Meaning; tightly holding his hair while trimming it. And forcefully tugging to turn his head certain ways. I finally told her to calm down and stop being so rough with my son. It took her a good 10 seconds to look me in the eye and say, who meeee? Seriously!!! Yes YOU! You’re the one cutting his hair. I am aboriginal and I could tell when someone is racist. She was NOT having a bad day. Besides, if someone is having a bad day there’s no way they’d be cruel to a child who is 4 of age. I will not be taking my family here ever again. And I will be letting my family and friends know.

Truly awful experience. I went to this "salon" about a year ago and wanted to change up my hair color. I explained what I wanted and the lady helping me went to go talk to her boss she explained it would be very expensive and take a long time (I was well aware this would be the case) I said yes ok let's do it . She then repeated it would be Very! Expansive. Implying I wouldn't be able to pay ( I look like an average middle class person I'm in my mid thirties not a teenager). The process did take a long time as expected. There is no bathroom in the salon so you have to walk out into Walmart and use their bathroom with the cape and your foils in. When she was done I noticed my natural hair color peeking through the brown black and mentioned this . The lady said oh that's just the lighting . After a few days the hair color bled out almost completely. I bought the shampoo and conditioner the salon suggested and it didn't help save the color. Because I had gone dark with blue and purple highlights the faded color was a total mess. Grey strips in Auburn hair by the end of week 2. I'm not even sure how this was possible unless they use semi permanent dyes. Would not recommend ever.

Very bad. The place always seems to be low on staff. Staff is very unexperienced. Only had one good haircut here and I think it was Jay. That was the only good barber. The rest seem like they don't know what they're doing and when you tell them how to cut it they do it completely wrong. Ask the old lady to make my hair slightly shorter and put a part line. She shaved the entire side of my head. Also she did not shampoo or wash my hair. However, I was still charged for it. Waste of 25 dollars. Would not reccomend, don't waste your time. She says she had 30 years of experience but it doesn't even seem like 2. The staff don't know the new styles and haircuts and are too old.

Stylist made me feel like what I wanted wasn't appropriate. She did a cut that she felt was better suited at a length she liked . I contacted customer service and received a call back from the salon offering to shorten the cut. They had my info in-order to contact me but she made me repeat my phone number multiple times and would cut me off if I tried to talk, telling me they would shorten the cut. I feel like I won't be listened to any better the second time around, so I am cancelling the second appointment and going somewhere else where my wishes will be respected and where I can actually get the cut and style I want, since my hair was left long enough to do so.

Today I went to the magicuts on thorold store road by chance because I needed to get my hair done finally and to my surprise I found Kayce there. She informed me that she transferred to this location from the oakwood store a couple of weeks ago... and is full time permanently at the thorold store road location. My wife goes for a cut and dye. When she gets there she has to cancel the dye because it went from $60 to $125 for the dye $150 for a cut and dye. They would not listen to her request which would have cut the $125 into like $65 but the would not do as she asked. So she cancels the dye and gets just a cut... they butchered the back of her hair, more choppy then the sea in a storm. I’m guessing that was because she did t want to get ripped off for the dye, so they cut her hair poorly.

If you book an appointment they will still take two appts ahead of you and make you wait. I was told this is the policy. I arrived 10 mins early.... I understand the walk in process so the person that was started just before I walked up should be served; BUT booking someone after that and before a booked appointment is WRONG.... they just lost a customer. I would not have booked if I had time to wait until they felt they had time. it was only a cut and wash. REALLY missy.......... you suck I would like to note that the young lady that permed my hair the first time did an amazing job. she listened to my wishes and carried them out to a T. however the next time, she did not as she was ordered to be on a business call with her boss and left the perm on too long and now it is frizzy. My husband got a hair cut. He wanted to beable to spike it. He could not as it was way too short. He asked for around the ears to be done and the side burns removed. Was not done. I had the worst experience here! A month ago I had highlights put in my hair and a haircut. Heidi, the one who did the highlights, started at the back of my head instead of the front, which I thought was strange. I only wanted 14 highlights but, since she used them all up in the back, had to put extra foils on th top and sides which she said she wouldn't charge me for. She took a long time and finally I asked her to check the foils in the back. She did and about 4 of them were over-processed. As she rinsed my hair, she kept saying "Oh no". Then she informed me that the foils had all slipped, (I assumed because she hadn't put them in tightly enough). She said she " wanted to cry and felt so bad". She told me she wouldn't charge me but I said I would go ahead and pay because I didn't want her to get in trouble and "you're going to fix it, right?" She assured me they would and to come back the next day to have Rebecca look at it. I went back the next day and Rebecca agreed that I had a bright blond patch and my roots were all dark. We AGREED to leave it for a few weeks so my hair wouldn't get fried. Well, after 4 weeks I made the appointment to get it fixed. They refused! Rebecca said that there wasn't anything wrong with my hair, acted incredulous that all the foils could have slipped, and said the reason my roots were dark was because my hair had grown out. She wasn't going to fix something that happened a month ago , especially without charging me. I told them I wanted their manager's name and number, but they wouldn't give it to me and said to call the 800 number. I told them, in an angry, but normal tone of voice that I couldn't believe they wouldn't fix it and Heidi said I was yelling at her. Rebecca came over and said "You can't come in hear and start screaming" OMG. Luckily there was a Wal-Mart employee in the salon as a witness that I didn't raise my voice. I informed them that I would be calling the 800 number, leaving a scathing review online, and telling anyone who asked that they were a horrible salon. The employees at this Wal-Mart salon are unprofessional, lack integrity, and provide services lacking in quality.

Both myself and grandson had our hair cut by a gentleman this past weekend. Upon returning home I noticed a chunk of hair on the back of my grandsons neck as well as behind his ear had been missed. The top of my right ear also had a section of hair that was missed. Being charged over $40.00 for one adult and one childs cut I expect an even cut. Upon calling I was abruptly told to come back and they would look at it! Thanks I fixed it myself.
