Love this place! 5 stars isn't enough! Our first visit my daughter got some awesome blue highlights, that lasted for months! And when we came back, not only did my daughter get 10" of hair cut off, she had some amazing hair carving designs too!! (Momma was offered some hot coffee to calm the nerves while watching all her blonde locks get trimmed.) Jasmine did an amazing job with the style, and the other stylists seemed genuinely friendly from the moment we walked in!

I really like it here, it's a nice shop, and I've been to many in Regina. Whoever says it's overpriced probably doesn't appreciate the difference between a good haircut vs. someone with clippers in their bathroom. I definitely recommend Jasmine. I have lots of swirls and crap going on in my hair, and I've never had another hairdresser who pays as much attention to detail, or who's done as good of a job in general. Seriously, ask for Jasmine, you won't be disappointed.

Before going to my first visit at MODERN MEN, I took a moment to google "modern haircuts for the sightly portly gentlemen, balding in a manly fashion." When that failed in a spectacular fashion, I spent the remainder of the morning printing off a scrapbook with pictures I found of Huge Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and Jonny Dep... nearly missing my appointment. When I arrived I was met at the desk by smiling staff in a relaxed pleasant environment. They took one look at the scrapbook I had prepared and could barely contain their excitement! I guess they appreciate the value of hard work and attention to detail! "Don't worry" she said after having a look with a concerned look on her face, "We will take good care of you." I asked if they'd like to keep the scrapbook to give other inspiration to their other clientele, she wouldn't have it. She kept saying raving on about how I had put so much work into it and it would be a shame if I didn't take it when I left. Remember back when you were just a kid and your mum cut your hair for you? With a bowl? While watching The Price Is Right? And a glass of fine wine poured directly out of a box? Well, they don't do it that way here. Here is nice. Here they look at what they are doing, take their time and do a good job at it. Also, points for hardly ever cursing under their breath. I like the place! All of the staff were very open and friendly. They handled my awkward attempts at "charming conversation" with what I could only describe as patience of a saint. When all was said and done they seemed very happy at a job well done and were quick to get through the formalities. The staff here really seems to understand how much ones time is worth and were eager to see me go on my way. I really had no place to go and was eager to finish our riveting conversation but she just kept saying "Goodbye!" "So long!" "Bye!" "Better get moving or you'll miss your bus!" "Could you please stop blocking the door? Others are trying to get through!" I really miss her. I know it's only been a few hours but maybe I should go pop in and see how she's been doing today. I guess reviews aren't supposed to be completely one sided and I did find one thing I wasn't too happy about... The ceilings. They were a dreadfully bland whitish color and didn't really offer anything to me in terms of inspiration. I brought it up as my new friend was begrudgingly powering through our third shampooing session because I wanted to be certain they got a good shine up there on the "ol' solar panel." She calmly agreed and seemed very upset about the whole situation. "Maybe we can hang a picture of Huge Jackman up there for you." I can't wait to make another appointment to see what they'll come up with! Oh. And Pro Tip! Don't ask for a discount because they "Only had to style 60% of your head" they aren't going to budge.

Called near end of busy Saturday to see about a 'clean up'. Sveta took me on, gave me the best service. Wish I lived local so I could be a regular here. Should say 2 downtown barber shops failed to get my business, one of them lied and got caught, the other just didn't need my business. So Thanks to Modern, and Sveta for helping this old guy out!

I have been going here for 2 maybe 3 years, never have been disappointed and am always welcomed. I have started to take my son there and Jasmine does a wicked job of a 1.5 year old and a 30 year old. I have seen another barber there but I can't remember her name. Nice people, good cuts, fair pricing, parking is available and a nice atmosphere. 10/10

Absolutely amazing, start to finish. Everyone here knows what they're doing, and the price was still incredibly reasonable for the quality of service they provided. After on very professional cut and colour from Sveta, I am absolutely sold on this salon, and would highly recommend it to anyone. Will absolutely be coming back.

I walked in on Saturday afternoon. The girl told me that they don't take walks ins and said I should book an appointment and also told me they were booked up. What I don't understand was, that it was nearly dead inside and on the window it's said " "walk ins welcomes" they should remove this if they're going to tell potential customers to book an appointment prior to coming in. My son recieved an awful hair cut from here. I sent him with his dad to get his hair fixed after his dad cut the sides, and he came out with a short mullet. It is uneven all over. Extremely upset with how it turned out.

I went to the shop with extremely long hair which i had most of my life. I sort of had an idea of what i wanted but as a musician/artist myself, i like to trust other "artists" with there craft. I ended up with a nice fade on the side haircut that i absolutely loved! I was nervous at first to loose hair down to my waist but in the end i was more then happy with my cut! I cant tell enough people about how much i like this shop! 5 stars all the way

Although I have tried over an extended period of time to find a men hair salon, without success, the Modern Men Salon pleasantly surprised me when I had lost completely hope. Clean, casual and very efficient. Didn't need to explain twice and the result was just perfect. From the perspective of a guy who doesn't subscribe to the military haircut I would recommend it to any men in town. Will definitely go back.

Modern Men Hair Salon is the best place to get your hair cut and beard trimmed in Regina. Sveta is the hair stylist that I go to but she should be called a hair artist. She always does an amazing job every time, takes her time to make sure it's what I want and is super friendly as is all the staff. Tammy, the owner know how to take care of her customers and it shows everytime your step into Modern Men. You won't regret it......????

Hi, I stopped by here to get hair cut with Svetlana Orlenko. What I am telling you is the hair dresser is so terrible. I booked and went in time. But She was not punctual and 15 minutes late and was sloppy. My sideburns look like unbalanced.. ha... I checked men’s haircut price and her hair cut is 40$ but she charged more than 40$. What the.... Please keep it mind and consider if you are thinking of hair cut with Svetlana orlenko. But the shop employees are very kind. The interior is so clean. I was satisfied everything other than this I mentioned.

I am not one to leave reviews. But I had the best experience of my life with svetlana. She is amazing at what she does. Svetlana is easy to talk to. A true perfectionist. I went in looking like lumberjack and came out looking like a business man. She did my hair. Amazing fade and she also trimmed my beard. Svetlana is one of Regina’s best hairdresser I will be telling anyone who needs a haircut to go to her.

Very Negative Experience. I've been to a lot of salons and few have been as bad as Modern Men. They claim to "specialize" in men's hair and even try to create a man friendly environment. Even going so far as to offer a beer! Well that's where to good news ends. It is overpriced, the stylists are tip-mongers and the cuts just are very sub-par. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
