Went here quite a while ago and will never go back. The girl that did my hair made the blonde highlights GREEN and left a splotch of bleach on the brown part of my hair, never bothered to fix it. Went back a second time to have it corrected, no better! I had to go to another salon to fix it and they could NOT believe how GREEN my hair was and shocked that she left a bleach spot on the brown. I sat in that chair for I dont even know how many hours, the "stylist" said maybe two words to me the whole time, then took off and starting having conversations with OTHER peoples clients. I was shocked and everything about that place, and not in a good way! What a waste of money that i'll never see again!

I can not begin to tell you how much I am in love with my new hair! Chris did an outstanding job creating this seamless grey ombre. I get stopped on the street, at the grocery store and by friends and family asking who did my hair, and how they can get it. It's the 'Pinterest worthy', dreamy hair you always wished for. Above the quality of his skillset he also took great care to keep the integrity of my hair since it had been bleached a few times by another stylist, my hair feels, and styles GREAT. Lastly, Chris and every single one of his staff EXEMPLIFY what it means to go above and beyond quality customer service through their warm hearted welcomes and attention to the fact that when I walk in there I’ve probably had a really long day at work.(FYI, someone taking your coat, handing you a cup of aveda tea and being welcomed by 10 smiling faces is awesome!!) It only let me do 5 star’s but if I could, they would each get 10/10. Highly recommended.

I discovered Daniel Christopher Salon, back when it was Myst. I had recently moved from Edmonton and I was worried about finding a stylist that would be as good as my previous one. One day at Cornwall I saw a stranger with hair I loved, I asked her who her stylist was and she lead me to Chris. I went there and was immediately impressed with the care and attention he gave my hair. I found a stylist that surpassed my previous "big city" experience. I have always said that hair is the outfit you wear everyday and if you can pay big money for a pair of jeans you shouldn't hesitate to invest in your most noticeable asset. I highly recommend anyone to any of the staff of Daniel Christopher as Dan & Chris have done an excellent job of passing on the secrets to style.

Worst hair cut I have received in a long time. The cut was supposed to be an A-line bob. Actually, she was just trimming my hair (previously cut A-line bob). The hair stylist cut the pieces directly in front shorter (about an inch) then the rest of my hair in the front. It looks ridiculous. The pieces of hair in front of an A-line bob are supposed to be the longest pieces, hence an A-line bob. She is supposed to be a level 4 stylist. This is a follow-up to my review above. Christopher called me himself to apologize and offered me a full refund. He also offered to cut my hair himself the next time I am in Regina and sent their level 4 stylist on a refresher course. I am extremely impressed. I have never heard of another salon that has done this before. I would definitely consider going back.

I went here to have my hair coloured platinum blonde. It was already coloured a darker blonde. Process took hours and I came away with pale lemon coloured hair. Certainly not platinum. It got yellower and yellower with each wash over the next few weeks.It ended up brassy. My hair started breaking off and my scalp itching. After a month I had lots of pieces that were half an inch long from breakage. My hair is now a wreck three months later; lots of breakage. I had to have it cut much shorter due to breakage and the overall porous texture. (NOT at Daniel Christopher that's for sure). The stylists at DC are all young and my guess is not very experienced. The haircuts I've gotten over the past year were generally acceptable but not great. Certainly not for the price I was paying. I've used several stylists here at level 6. I wouldn't go back here and I don't recommend it to friends.

I was recommended by a good friend, and I have to say: the level of customer service is excellent! From the moment you walk in, the staff as well as the owner are greeting you and making you feel welcome. They provide the best service they can possibly give you. Their Aveda products leave your hair smelling and feeling amazing for days. Also, my haircut exceeded my expectations. I recommend this salon, and I will most certainly go back not only for a haircut, but also for their products.

Was completely different than any salon I've been to. I absolutely loved the scalp massage with essential oils and I loved the way my scalp felt after the shampoo and conditioner. my stylist was very well educated and friendly. she really knew what she was doing. I will.definitely return!

When I walked I smelled the essential oils and it was very relaxing the stylist was waiting at the front and was extremely friendly took my coat, and offered me a beverage it was like going to a friend's house. When I sat down we talked about my hair and what it's like and what I want from my hair (less frizz etc) then from there she told me what she thought was a good fit for me and my hair type! Then she gave me a scelp & shoulder massage which was amazing! Especially since I just got off of work. She washed my hair and let my ends soak since they where very damaged and gave me a tip on how to help with that at home. She gave me an awesome cut that I'm super happy with. Overall I felt really pampered, service was amazing I usually have alot of anxiety when getting hair cuts but I felt calm and was able to relax. However it is pricy but since i get hair cuts once a year it is worth it and I'll go back again.

I've been coming to this salon to hairstylist Carrie for a couple years and she is second to none in Regina. Very few stylists can cut fine hair as nicely as she does. I get regular compliments on my Jamie Lee Curtis cuts. Highly recommend Carrie and this salon.

I had my first experience at this salon yesterday and it was amazing!! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, all the stylists looked very elegant and were soft-spoken and pleasant, there was a lot of positive energy ( I have experienced a lot of negative vibes between stylists in other salons). Taylor did my colour and she spend time to do a very thorough consult and ask find out what I had in mind, even showed me pictures of different variations of the colour I had in mind. She explained exactly what she was going to do, how much it would cost and how long it would take upfront so there were no unpleasant surprises at the end. We had a great conversation comparing our dogs as she was working on me. The relaxing hand massage was a nice touch as was the invigorating head massage. And all with Aveda's plant derived products which I love!! My hair colour looked amazing and the complementary make -up touch up at the end was the icing on the cake. BTW the tea is DELICIOUS!! I walked out feeling like a million dollars!! Thank you!

I asked to breakup my shadow root and go back to my normal blonde colour. Instead I got a mixture of red/orange roots. The hairdresser tried to retone three times and I left the salon looking worse than when I went in. Disappointed because when I booked I specifically asked for someone good with blondes.

I would never go anywhere else but Daniel Christopher!. By far the best salon I've been to! Everybody is so professional and the environment is so enjoyable to be in. I must say Christine is my favorite stylist to go to, however I recommend all the stylists there! Two words... HEAD MASSAGE.... never fails to make my day. It's really hard for me to wrap my head around any bad reviews towards this place because my whole family goes here and I've never heard one bad thing! I'm a huge fan! :)

Went to this salon for the first time today. I came to this salon with high expectations from all the positive reviews I’ve seen. Booked an appointment around two weeks in advance for a scalp treatment and hair cut. When I arrived for my appointment today I was asked to pick between getting the hair cut or the scalp treatment I booked. When I said I wanted both I was asked again to pick one... Not sure why I was told I could only pick one without an explanation. On the bright side, the scalp treatment I picked was fantastic. The scalp massage felt great, my scalp feels refreshed (you have to get the treatment to understand the feeling), and the hair mask made my hair smooth and shiny! Unfortunately, because I never received the appointment I booked in advance I will not be returning to this salon. Hope nobody has this experience again in the future. UPDATE : The owner, Chris, took great care and demonstrated a lot of integrity correcting the above situation. I received a full refund, a free bottle of Aveda cherry almond leave-in conditioner, as well as a free hair cut from Chris himself. The hair dresser I had my past experience with no longer works at this salon. Chris explained that the hair dresser I saw was moving on to new adventures in their life and was no longer fully committed to their career at his salon. Chris admirably admitted that he learned a lesson and will not have future staff on his team who are not 100% committed. Chris is very passionate about his business and will move mountains to correct a bad experience as well as make changes to prevent it from happening again. As well, I received a fantastic hair cut and great five star experience when I saw Chris for my free hair cut. With all the effort and integrity that went into correcting my past experience I now plan on returning to this salon again.

Daniel Christopher Salon is a breath of fresh air for Regina. They have an extensive selection of Aveda products, all at reasonable prices, and were one of the first places in the city to offer the Aveda Pure Privilege program (I waited over a year for it to come to Regina!) I have had some terrible hair colour experiences and was very anxious about finding a new salon. As soon as I met the stylists I could tell they were very knowledgeable and experienced, it put me right at ease. I have had a cut and colour service twice with Daniel and once with Chris. Each time it turned out fantastic. They also offer really nice touches such as a hand massage with Aveda lotion as well as a make-up touch up. I have referred the salon to my sister who has been a number of times, with the same great results. I will continue to refer it to anyone else looking for a great hair experience. Everyone is nice and friendly and certainly not snobby which I have experienced in a lot of more 'upscale' salons. One time, a stylist even went to get me a Booster Juice during a lengthy service so I wouldn't have to go in my cape and foils! The only downside that I have found is that you have to book fairly far in advance to get in with certain stylists. Book early! A comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, knowledgeable and experienced stylists, and the best available products (in my opinion) make it the best salon I have been to.

Is -100 out of 5 an option? They continually "lost" my appointments I had scheduled months in advance, saying it was due to "computer issues", so I had to continually re-schedule my appointments again and again. I want the same foils and hair cut every time, but every time it got screwed up. First I had Christine, who does the hardest scalp massage ever. And, as she combs your hair, pulls tons of it out... ouch! Then Carrie, who I thought would be a better option, wasn't. I asked for a "trim", which to me means a half-an-inch off everywhere. Instead, she cut off 4-inches out of the back of my layers!!! So I had blond on just the top part of my head and 4-inches of dark roots on the bottom... yuck! What's the point of even doing blond highlights, just to cut them all out? And then to top it off, Carrie passed me off to Chris, who again I thought would be better since he's one of the owners, but again, I was extremely disappointed. Not only did he "miss" doing my front highlights which I specifically asked he do, but then told me today that he doesn't think I'm a good "fit" for his salon because none of his stylists, including himself, can do my hair right. Clearly, his business isn't very professional... can't keep appointments and can't do hair as you request it. My advice is to find another salon, before one of the owners tells you to find another one yourself!

I have been a client with Daniel Christopher Salon for a while now – The ambiance of the salon is very welcoming, calming and refreshing. Every time I call, I have only ever receive outstanding customer service, even with it being such a busy salon, if you work with the receptionist she will help make something work for you. A busy salon is a good salon! The stylists are all trained very well, an experienced stylist or a new stylist, you can tell they go over what is usually expected and train their stylists to give excellent customer service, be very tentative with their clients, and become confident to provide the best technical service possible. I also can’t say enough about the Aveda products, my hair always feels so soft and healthy, but also never weighed down; Aveda is all I use now! Daniel Christopher is a distinguished salon, and I highly recommend it!
