I wish that I could give Village 272 Salon a better review. I had a wonderful trial for my wedding hair back in March, so I was quite confident that the actual wedding day would go well. I cannot give a positive review because a few things bothered me greatly during my wedding day. They seemed rushed and more interested in getting back to the salon for other appointments. Of course, that was just my impression, but they did mention other clients/appointments, which was disappointing to hear on a wedding day. For the price we were paying we were hoping for more. My hair was the real problem. It looked nothing like the trial. I had to convince the stylist to fix a few things and she did not fasten my hair into place properly. My hair fell out shortly after they left. My bridesmaids deserve 5 stars because they were able to fix everything and secure it in place. My hair ended up looking fine, but it was not what I expected. This salon is not worth the price they charge for wedding hair. It was over $800 for about 3 ½ hours of work…for hair that fell out. They will also only accept cash. Not sure what is going on there. Every other vendor I dealt with was flexible with payment. For anyone that is from out of town and having a wedding in Prince Edward County I encourage you to look elsewhere. Try to find a mobile stylist other than Village 272 Salon.

I would absolutely recommend Karen and her team! My hair was exactly what I wanted and lasted all night (even through the wind)! The hairstyle was slightly different at first, but Karen worked with me to make sure that no strand was out of place. Beyond the hair, they were so friendly and relaxed. I am so appreciative that they gave up their thanksgiving Sunday to help make my wedding day perfect! 5+ stars!

Beautiful up-do! Karen did both a trial (about 2 months prior) and then my wedding up-do in November 2018. I could not have been happier with my hair the day of the wedding!!! It was exactly what I had envisioned, and Karen was so easy to work with. I felt the care and perfection in her services. She even accommodated my request to do my hair on-site so that I didn't have to leave the hotel. I would recommend Karen for any special occasion - or any hair services you need.

Awful experience for my wedding. We were there all day. Not enough people doing hair like she said there would be. Hair did not stay in very well. It honestly created so many issues for the rest of the day that is was a huge part in things not going smoothly.

My wedding hair was unfortunately nowhere near what I dreamed it would be. I had 2 wedding trials because the first trial looked horrible - I asked for my hair to look “thicker” as I have very thin hair and I ended up with a huge bump on the top of my head like something out of Jersey shore. When I came in to do my second hair trial because I was so disappointed with the first one, the stylist there did not know how to put in tape in extensions and said I had to wait for another stylist to come back from vacation (2 days before my wedding!!) to do the second trial. The second trial went a bit better (still not what I imagined but not horrible), but the salon owner asked me to bring my own hair tools for my wedding day which I thought was outrageous. I also had to coach the stylist though EXACTLY what I wanted so I didn’t have hair that looked straight out of the 80’s. I could tell my bridesmaids were disappointed with their hairstyles as well but didn’t want to tell me and spoil my day. They do charge over $100/person in cash which is a lot!! Finally, we were supposed to have two stylists during my wedding day but the salon owner did not show up until the last half hour which put us way behind for family photos. I do not recommend this business.

Use this salon with caution!!!! We were going to a wedding as guests. Not getting “wedding hair.” At any rate, they quoted $35 and ended up charging $108 with an imposed 15 percent tip which I would have paid anyway. But this was outrageous—far more than quoted and who pays more than $100 for s blowout anyway!!! Plus, it’s an all cash business we found out. Revenue Canada would probably like to k ow this. Beyond everything else, Karen showed up late and the stress of getting us out the door and to the wedding wasn’t pleasant. I had 15 minutes to dress and put my makeup on. My blowout did look nice. But not for $108. Luckily, since it’s an all cash business and I had to pay by email, I paid the $35 quoted. No tip for the rudeness and gouging. I hope people read this. Can you say crime of the century? Stay away!!!

Karen at Village 272 is an absolutely fabulous woman with a big heart. She is willing to go out of her way to make my hair and eyebrows stunning!! She is great at booking me in last minute should she have a cancellation. My hair is so thick and hard to manage but she has a way of making it feel so thin and manageable. Her products are great and should you ever want an extreme head massage, the shampoo is worth every moment. Thank you Karen for making me feel special. Your services are beyond expectations.
