Diana is so friendly, welcoming and an amazing stylist (before and after photos added). Diana is super knowledgeable with over 10 years of experience, including some surprising knowledge of my well-being due to the state of my hair. I didn’t know this was possible! Diana was very insightful. The Unicorn is a beautiful space, even the rinsing station has a super comfortable chair. I have a bad neck and back and usually feel super uncomfortable when rinsing, but Diana’s station was very comfortable for me. Highly recommend! Even if you don’t know what you want - Diana has an incredible eye.

I absolutely love this place! I've had my hair coloured and cut here and everything has always been fantastic. First of all, Diana is boss at cutting my wavy hair, and when I went to totally change up my colour after months of grow out during Covid, the blond was absolute perfection and I left feeling like a total babe. Love the space, the service is amazing, my hair is fantastic, and their protocols around physical distancing and providing salon services safely were incredibly straight forward and made me feel super safe in the space. Holy Swoon!

The blonde hairdresser has admitted - to her OWN clients- to intentionally ruining peoples hair so that they don't come back to her. I have screenshots I wont post for people's privacy, but suffice it to say it's clearly not just a mistake or slightly uneven fringe. Please find another place to get your hair cut because no one should pay for an intentionally mangled haircut. I honestly cannot understand why anyone would put effort into ruining their own client base but, I hope she gets what she wants.

Diana was amazing! If you're looking for a salon where you are at your most comfortable throughout the entire appointment, search no more. Diana talked me through what I needed to do with my hair to take better care of going forward, and they broke down the process so that I could understand everything without knowing much about hair styling and hair science! It's been a few weeks since my appointment and I love the style! I was never about a middle part since it's been years since I've had one, and my hair looks great!! ????????

I absolutely love this salon! If you’re trans this is the absolute safest place you could ever get your hair cut! I was made comfortable every step of the way from Diana asking my preferred name and pronouns as soon as I came in, to the actual cut itself, everything was fantastic!

I went to get a haircut after lockdown and it was such a good experience. Diana was so nice and friendly. She's a really fun person to talk to. It felt like getting my hair cut by an old friend. I had a vague idea of what I wanted, and she somehow managed to give me EXACTLY what I wanted. She knew exactly how to manage and style my wavy/loosely curly hair and I left the salon looking and feeling amazing. The Unicorn feels really bougie too. I've paid more at other places and gotten a good haircut, but at this salon, you're paying for the experience just as much as the actual haircut.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to the Unicorn Salon. I have been twice now, once for a haircut and now for a colour by Diana. She is extremely attentive to her client’s needs and is very well spoken about expectations from the service. She is realistic, and provides so much useful insight into her techniques. I booked a balayage service, and my hair looks fresh and fabulous! It is hard to come by stylists who are very knowledgeable about their craft, so I am grateful that Diana is here in Peterborough to offer her incredible talents! I also love that the salon is a LGBT2Q ????️‍???? inclusive space! Looking forward to my next service!

Diana gave me an amazing cut and colour! Highly recommend this place. I love the environment and I had a wonderful experience. Diana took the time and listened to what I wanted and did her best to give me exactly what I wanted and more! I felt heard and understood! I will only be coming here to have my hair done from now on. Highly recommend! Edit: I continue to go to Diana on a regular basis for my pixie cuts and her creativity, support and willingness to listen to my needs, even when I'm struggling to figure out what I want, is wonderful. I trust her with my hair wholeheartedly!

Diana gives me the best blunt bob cuts I've ever had in my life, including decades of haircuts in Halifax and Toronto. She has created an beautiful, inviting, inclusive space, and is incredibly skilled. Her work is gentle, consistent, and I always get exactly what I ask for. Pretty sure she is the unicorn!
