I went to a professional salon, for the first time in years to get my hair cut and to try something new. I found this salon and saw the reviews and just went ahead to get a hair cut and my hair coloured too. I have never felt more happy about a decision. My stylist was Ashlan, and she made me feel so comfortable and talked me through the decision and how everything would work, and was very kind as well. Since I told her that I've never coloured my hair, she made sure the experience was good and left the best impression. I am in love with the results of my hair and I want to thank Jade Salon & Spa's staff, including Ashlan, for making the experience amazing. I am definitely coming back for haircuts and maybe another change in the future. :) Definitely recommend this salon for you're first time.

I honestly never write reviews, but I had such a positive experience here that I feel compelled to share. After a failed at-home attempt to dye my hair, Ashlan not only took me back to my natural colour, but gave me a beautiful balayage. She went above and beyond to make my hair look amazing, and I've honestly never had such a great experience at a hair salon before. The atmosphere was welcoming and all the staff were super friendly. I will definitely recommend to all my friends :)

I have gone to this salon before and the haircuts were good. This is the third time I came and I got my hair cut by Jen and I had shown her a picture of what I wanted and it didn’t come out the way I was hoping. She had made the sides of my hair completely uneven and put bangs on the opposite side of where my hair naturally parts. She also made part of the back of my hair uneven and I had to point it out for her to fix, which I thought was odd because it was extremely noticeable how bad it was. As someone who has got their hair cut a numerous amount of times throughout their life, this was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received. On the other hand Jen was completely understanding of it and she gave me a discount for the trouble. She took the criticism with a good attitude. I don’t like to be a mean person and I think everyone should be judged fairly but I also believe in being honest. What I was also not happy about is the owner of the salon. As a professional place I believe the owner, with more knowledge of hair cutting, should come in to help if a customer is unsatisfied with a haircut, or at least give some tips or advice to the stylist on what she should do to fix it. This has been my experience in other professional settings. She didn’t once come to apologize or ask if there was anything she could do to help. She seemed hostile towards me and I felt that she was irritated with me. From the beginning of coming to this place I have felt that she is not a very welcoming person and I left very disappointed in my experience as a whole. When I went home to further inspect I called back and told them they need to fix it again because my hair was so choppy. When I came back the owner told me, someone would be with me soon, but once again she didn’t come to ask me anything or even acknowledge my hair situation. She stayed in her own space and pretty much ignored me and I take that as a very bad sign of leadership for a professional setting. I chose to put my feelings aside and hope that the new stylist would fix it. Jen was no where to be found and I was hoping she would be there so I could tell her again, thank you for being understanding and that I wasn’t mad. The second stylist, I don’t remember her name unfortunately, she was a lot more social and inviting to be around, which was nice. She also did not do the greatest job of fixing my hair. Once again my hair remained uneven and choppy but just a little more fixed up enough to hide the imperfections. After a couple days of being distressed with my hair I ended up going to another salon close by to fix it. The stylist told me that my hair was going to be a challenge for her because of how badly it was uneven. I ended up going from wanting to get a neck length haircut to a pixie cut because of what happened. Thankfully the stylist at the new salon did a fantastic job of fixing it and was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. I will definitely be going to the other salon from now on. Regardless, I am thankfully someone who doesn’t care too much about hair and it will eventually grow back. Unfortunately, this experience was bad enough for me to write this essay of a bad review.

I had beautiful blonde highlights and went in to get my roots blended with my highlights for less upkeep over the winter and she actually turned all of my hair a gross chocolate brown, which is much darker than my natural hair. When I complained they said 30% of the brown would fade out in the first couple of washes. It didn't. Wouldn't go back or recommend to others.

Amazing ladies in here! Did a really good job on my bleach blond. I went in with about 5" of regrowth and come out with NO BAND. Marcy is steller- styling for 17 years, salon owner for 10 and teaching for 3 I think she said. Im super picky and they went above and beyond.

I like that Jade Salon provides other services as well as hairstyling, ie nails, facials and others. Ashlan listens, she keeps track of things we've tried before with colors, consideration is given for the comfort of each client (offering drinks, cushions if you need them etc)and my friends have often asked if I color my hair, because it looks so natural! They are always updating, training, keeping g up with trends and keep the salon clean and pleasant! Kudos to all the staff!

I went here for my first time the other week and I met such a nice girl Jenn. I was nervous my hair was really long and frankly I was tired of it! But I have had so much other salons not even want to touch my hair because it was so long and thick. She was so kind and was more than happy to help me out. She made me look absolutely stunning, she did such an amazing job and for the work she did for me it was not expensive at all! They really care about customers and treat you like family here. If you're searching reviews in Ptbo like I was, these are absolutely well-deserved! Marcy (the owner/Master Colourist) and her assistant were able to take my level 2/almost black (virgin) hair to a level 9/10 in *one session*, using what looked like hundreds of foils on my (very) thick hair and I see very little - no damage somehow?? I'm beyond impressed. The salon itself is cozy and the staff are all very friendly.. I was exhausted from work the night before so wasn't in the most talkative mood, felt that Marcy understood and allowed me to zombie out in my chair, which was nice. Another minor but impressive thing is that they don't try to up-sell products (even though I probably would have bought) and actually gifted me a full-size hair masque product. TL; DR: Excellent salon!! Current techniques, amazing staff, great pricing, clean,etc, would highly recommend all around.

I had my hair cut by Jenn and she did a wonderful job! She took her time and didn't rush through it. She was so gentle with my hair too - some hairdressers can be so rough with their comb and impatient with my long hair. She took in everything I requested and I loved the outcome. The atmosphere in the salon was so relaxed and their banter was quite entertaining! I'll be going back for sure and I'd recommend Jenn.
