I came in for a simple haircut. The prices were insanely increased between the couple months I’d visited, but that’s reasonable given the economy right now. What wasn’t reasonable was having to sit in that chair for 20 minutes while the hairdresser soapboxed anti-vaccine/anti-mask/anti-BLM Fox News talking points at me non-stop. If I wanted to hear racist, ignorant political rhetoric while getting my hair cut, I’d get my dad to do it for free. Beyond that, what should have been a simple short men’s hair cut ended with me getting home and noticing a good ten-strand cluster of long hair that was missed on the top of my head somehow. A quick buzz of my beard trimmer cleaned it up, so no big deal, but for $27 + an obligatory $5 tip, I’m not impressed. I don’t even care about your politics, you do you, but don’t force me into an uncomfortable situation where half of my hair is cut and you’re saying Derek Chauvin doesn’t deserve to be in prison. Subjectively, I find that disgusting and hateful. Objectively, it’s just bad business practice.

I don’t recommend to go to this hair salon. Hair cutting was not good at all. She was in rush of something and did my haircut in just around 10 minutes. Moreover she changed the shape of my hair on forehead saying it was same as before. When I said it was not like this before, she became rude. I didn’t enjoy service at all and will not go back again to this salon. It was worst experience ever at salon.

I took my son today to get his haircut... Fred my son's hairdresser for this visit was very rude and when I asked for him to use scissors on the top he made a rude remark and majorly butchered my sons hair.. He was really rough with his hands and I could tell my son was in a little pain from him yanking his hair to much. He also cut the back way to high and uneven were the manager had to fade the back to make it look somewhat decent... She also had to refix my son's whole haircut as it was cut uneven as well (she was super nice, thank you to the manager again)... I'm surpised after reading the reviews about this Fred guy that he still has a job here!! Sad.. beware everyone!

Absolutely horrible expirence. She cut my hair with the thickest chunkier layers ever which I never asked for. My hair was butchered. I said she could take 3 inches off my elbow length hair and it was at my shoulders when I left. Never again.

My friend and I went here today, everyone was nice and friendly. The receptionist was incredibly nice and kind. But the stylists were very rough on our hair and caused lots of hairs to come out. My hair looked good in the end but my friends did not. I just got a wash and blow dry although there was a lot of scratching and pulling. My friend for a wash and cut, was a hack job, rushed, and came out frizzy and uneven. Then she was pressured into buying a product she didn't want. Is fine for wash and dry. But we will not being back

My spouse went for a simple mens cut about 4 weeks ago at the location near Superstore , the "junior stylist" finished with the left side of his head being about an inch longer than the rest, it literally stood straight out and she refused to fix it . She claimed it was a "cow lick" and proceeded to tell him there was nothing that could be done . In the 40+ years that he has had hair on his head, he had never had a "cow lick" . Luckily one of the gals at the other location next to Safeway were able to fix it . Im not sure what the hair dressing schools in this town are teaching but they certainly need to raise the bar for successful transition into the industry .

I would like to give a huge shoutout to these wonderful ladies. I came in yesterday with a huge hair emergency (I am half black so my hair is VERY thick and VERY textured and was in the worst condition i'd seen it in a long time). The woman who cut my hair SAVED me even after admitting she did not have a lot of experience with ethnic hair. I never got your name, but to the woman who cut my mess of a nest last night, YOU ARE A LIFESAVER. Lots of beautiful products sold here as well for all hair types. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely love this store. Always receive a great cut or style here. It's first come first served so plan on arriving an hour or two before you go in. The store closes at 6 pm and there might be two to four customers already waiting so expect to reschedule if that happens. It's always clean and organized. All the Hair Stylists are quite skilled so I don't have a constant Stylist--that in itself backs up my full recommendation of this store. It's located in a convenient Super Center shopping venue so if you're requiring grocery, clothing, pet needs, office equipment or supplies, and even bedding supplies, then you'll have the best of everything.

Went to the First Choice Haircutters in the Safeway plaza to get my boys haircuts, 3 different ladies, 3 different kids. All 3 ended up horribly. They each had pictures of what they wanted, and none of their cuts even came close at all. 2 of them had hair sticking up in the back, I wish I could upload pictures. They all had bad attitudes and after watching the one lady scowling at the woman before my son for not giving her a big tip, I almost walked out. They made me pay for all 3 cuts after only my first son was done, the cut looked OK because she gelled it down. So I ended up tipping for all 3 cuts before I even got to see how awful they were. This really is the worst experience we have EVER had.

Just walked out of your salon. Arrived with 1 customer ahead of me, 3 stylist went in back and I waited over 15 min. And no one came out. By that time the place was full of customers, and all stylists still in the back, including the owner Fred. He seems to select his customers. Have been coming here for 6 years, never again!

I went for a haircut, waited for a 40 mins but still walked out of the place without a haircut, terrible place. Front desk did not bother letting me know that she had few appointments already scheduled ahead of me, neither she wanted to check with the hair dressers about the estimated wait time, she kept saying I don't know. Had she informed me about the wait time in beginning, I would have schedule an appointment or went for a haircut another day.

My girlfriend and I went to get a color and cut and I can honestly say it was the worst experience i have ever had in a salon, would not recommend it to anyone. I can't see this place getting such an overall high rating. It makes me wonder if some of the good reviews are even real. Wont go back, it's cheaper than most but the quality of the work matches the price.
