I love it here. Amanda has always treated me amazingly and was able to get the black box dye out of my hair and bring me back to blonde (if you know, you know, this is like next to impossible). She knows how to work with my curls and always has great product recommendations that really work and make my hair feel awesome.

Went here for my first time today and it was just so amazing. The atmosphere is just great, the hairdressers were so friendly!! I would definitely recommend this place because it is by far the best in penticton. They’re very open to anyone wanting a haircut.

I got my hair done by Amanda and loved it. I went in bored with my balayage and was wanting to go pretty blonde, and she nailed it. She asked me my thoughts the whole way and got my hair lighter than I could have asked for and kept the integrity of my hair in tact. She made phenomenal product recommendations after my cut and colour and I left feeling the exact way you always wanna feel after a trip to the salon. Like a goddess. ????????

Fact is, this salon has been in existence for 40 plus years and boasts a staff that's beyond hair zen. If you as a potential customer go anywhere else, you're taking your chances. Combine professionalism and stylists that meet and exceed any given expectations...you will not receive their attention to detail anywhere like this in the Okanagan Valley. Once you have basked amidst your personal makeover/upgrade at the BLHH, you'll return for all the right reasons! Highly recommended.

So start with the good. The staff here are amazing! Big personalities, very friendly, easy to have conversations with. I had whitney and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time I was there. They have a good variety of products in the shop and they are good price for what you get. Cheaper than some of the other businesses in the area. (I've seen some of the same products in other stores for double the price.) The haircut I got was simple but still really well done. I've been to places where even the simple cut gets messed up. So good quality cut! Honestly, was gonna give this review 2 stars but the staff are great and so gave it three. But the quality is questionable. I booked an appointment for cut and colour. On the phone I told the girl I was very dark hair and wanted to go light coloured. I showed up to be told they did not book enough time and thatd I'd have to come back another day. I explained i worked multiple jobs and itd be hard to book another day. The girl apologized and told me just to come back whenever I can find time. So my first appointment was cancelled by the employee. Came in again. The staff discussed what they were able to do and weren't. I chose to do a more pale purple even though I knew it wouldnt last as long as if I went dark. It came out amazing. Loved the colour. Was told its last about 3 weeks before the fade became very noticeable, which was fine as I was planning to come in the next month to get redone. Now, I dyed my hair fun colors a LOT so I am fully aware on the upkeep. 4 days after I got my hair dyed, the purple was gone. And I mean there was little to no purple left. My hair is silvery blonde. Not impressed I paid 180 dollars to get purple that only lasted 4 days. So even though the staff is very friendly, the quality of work doesnt last long. Now, only a week after the dye job I'm having to buy products to try and add purple back in myself.

This is the most intriguing and interesting salon that I have ever visited. My hair is now the most beautiful blonde it has ever been. The massive selection of hair pieces, wigs, jewelry, and hair styling products are awesome! A friend of mine visited Sabrina, who helped her go from a vibrant teal that she couldn't wash out, to an almost exact replication of her natural red hair. She gave directions to prep the hair for the colour that my friend followed for a week prior to the colour, to ensure the coverage would take. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional, and so I went to her for a haircut and she gave me an amazing fade and undercut, all with a smile, some great tips, and lovely conversation. She even stopped to check in with me during the process, which I find to be rare with hairstylists. Visit Sabrina if you're looking for great service, no matter what your hair story is. I'm confident she'll get you back on track!

This is the 3rd visit to the Best Little Hair House and my stylist is Brandee. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and she is the best stylist I have had in years. She listens to what you want and is always checking with you as she cuts and styles your hair. She makes recommendations that would work for your type of hair, mine has some thickness to it. I would highly recommend Brandee!

This review is a bit late but I really want to thank Samantha for not only giving me a great haircut and being a lovely person but also for going WAY above and beyond and driving me to the emergency department for a sudden onset of kidney stone pain!! Thank you, Samantha, you are a talented stylist, a great person and a truly kind individual.

My first visit was a cut with Brandy. She did a good job. My second visit was for a shadow root with Amanda. It was bad. My hair looked striped and yellow even though I wanted bright ashy blonde hair. I am naturally a level 8 and I expected to be a level 10. I am a very yellow level 9. Not even the toning job was done properly. I had spots that were toned and spots that were left nice and yellow. They ended up offering to fix it and the owner didn’t even apologize. She just kept telling me that the person doing my hair did a good job and that they had taken courses for the type of hair I wanted. I ended up letting them fix it and the bleach job was better but the toning was still bad. I don’t think it was worth the $170 i spent on my hair. Even after they fixed it. You shouldn’t have to enter a salon expecting to come back again because it needs to be fixed.
