I had never been here before but chose the salon based on reviews. It did not disappoint! I had my balayage done by Angie and it looks exactly like the photos I showed her. She let me know right off the bat what would be a realistic outcome and which photos I showed would be most accurate. I went to a wedding that day in Ottawa, and another wedding the following day in Vancouver, and the curl in my hair lasted perfectly for both weddings (I didn't wash it or have time to touch it up so I'm glad I didn't need to)! The next weekend I was at an upscale salon in Vancouver having my hair styled for my sisters wedding by the expert stylist and he complimented me on my colour, asked where I had it done and kept saying how well done it was. I highly HIGHLY recommend Angie and salon130.

I am so happy that I was recommended to go to Salon130 because I just had the best experience there today. My appointment was with Angie Pyke and she was an absolute dream. I did the usual thing and showed her a picture of what I was looking for not expecting that it would result in it being so close to the original picture-as it usually isn't. I went in with long hair that was super heavy and had left over colour at the ends and wanted a long bob (lob-as she called it) with a caramel balayage. It couldn't have turned out better. Angie was super comfortable to talk too and made the appointment breeze on by. Seriously if you are looking for a stylist I highly recommend Angie Pyke and Salon130. You will walk out feeling amazing! I certainly did!

I wasn't too sure at first since my hair is already a light blonde color to begin with and I didnt think a balayage would show up on my hair. After I had my consultation with the stylist Federica she heard me out and knew exactly what to do. I was very eager for my appointement and the experience was very friendly and welcoming. EDITING TO ADD: I've just returned from a different salon where they were able to fix my cut and create the exact look I wanted within about 30 minutes, so while I appreciate the owner's reply below, I will not be returning. I do also have some difficulty believing neither of my emails were received when the emails I've sent to the salon in previous years have gone through fine, but I suppose that's neither here nor there. I can honestly say I've never left a salon feeling worse about my hair than after my last visit to Salon130. I'd gone there numerous times before and been thrilled with their service, but last week I went for a long-awaited post-lockdown haircut (my first since January 2020!), and got a stylist I hadn't gotten before, who took two full hours to deliver a haircut that was sort of close-ish to the very clear photos I'd brought, but just far enough to end up looking, frankly, kind of terrible. I'd commented at least three times through the two-hour process that she would need to layer it and thin my ends, because otherwise my hair was too heavy to take the shape I was looking for and would just end up doing that awkward, shoulder-length triangular look, and she kept insisting that she HAD cut layers and that she would texturize it before the end and it would look like exactly what I wanted. By the end of the two hours, it was very obvious she wasn't able/willing/who knows to deliver the cut I wanted, and my pregnant back and emotions were frankly no longer up to sitting there and watching her struggle. I left, cried at home for a few hours, and sent them an email the following day with photos of what I'd asked for vs what I'd received, hoping I might hear back and have them offer to fix it, but a full week and one follow-up email later, I haven't heard a thing. I've ended up booking another haircut at a different salon, with hopes they will be able to fix it and give me the look I wanted all along. It's a shame because I really did love this place and had recommended it to numerous friends, and it's been a real downer to learn that the faithful, quality salon I thought I'd be able to go to forever is now a no-go.

Having never been here before, I was desperate for somewhere near my place of work to quickly fix my weekend botched attempt at cutting my own bangs. I popped in here to see what the place was like and, more importantly, if they could help me in the little time I had. The owner (Michelle) literally flung herself at the opportunity AND wouldn't except a penny from me (even gratuity). While Michelle was at it, I asked if she could give me a light dusting trim too. She was so kind and upbeat and made no big deal that I looked like a child had cut their hair with plastic kid scissors. What I was left with was gorgeous new bangs with a light trim and my hair blown out, straightened and product used to tame it.... all on the house! That said, From this point on... Salon 130 will be my hair salon. What excellent service for someone who wasn't even a customer! I am now though! Thank you!

I've been there 5 times now and still haven't really achieved the color I wanted ( pale blonde ) although I have to say Shannon who did my hair is skilled however my last trip there I felt like it was over priced and rushed. I've spent over 2500$ at this salon in the 5 trips I've gone and always gave a good tip . I felt like the owner over charged me for my product last time and I wont go back. If anyone does want to go see Shannon she is good.

This location is very nice and the stylist was friendly however I feel like they rush their clients and their biggest concern is getting as many clients in their chair as they possibly can. I felt like I was shamed for having long hair and at the end of the cut the stylist said she was going to put a note on my file to book more time the next visit, as she proceeded to look around anxiously to another client waiting. I didn’t need to know that and it was unprofessional to make a point out of telling me that. I feel like if it was a concern they could have asked me about my hair when I made the appointment. I didn’t even get it styled and the stylist made it clear that it was taking too long and she rushed the end of the cut. Perhaps scheduling more time for their appointments would be beneficial for them. I’ve gone to salons to get cuts many times and never had that reaction. There’s plenty of salons in the city you can go to for a $72 haircut and not feel like an inconvenience for having nice thick long hair. Probably won’t go back.

When I saw more of Shannon G's work, I felt instantly excited to book with Salon130. We all have different perceptions of what our "perfect" colour is and I have been wanting to go darker from my usual blonde/ombre that I've always had. Not only was she really awesome company but I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my hair. She could see how happy I was leaving the salon - literally glowing. That's a pretty special moment for a clients/stylist...period. The upkeep is going to be so much more manageable. I brought in my favourite looks and she offered her suggestions and we ended up going with a smoky caramel for the highlight rather than a mushroom. So happy I trusted her on this because the warm/tone she achieved matched my skin tone perfectly. I never thought I could feel "sunkissed" being a brunette. Since I'm here raving about Shannon, time for a quick shoutout to the staff - booking way easy and everyone was really open, friendly and I felt really comfortable in their space. Thank you! Salon 130 stylists are absolutely amazing at what they do! They are so kind and talented and it really shows in their work. Not only are they kind to their clients, but they are also kind to each other and always make an effort to help each other out. I had Angie take me from a dark blonde to a vibrant blue. It was amazing and she did such a great job, I got compliments on it all the time! I needed it back to blonde for a wedding I am in this fall, so I asked her if it was possible and she told me it may take two appointments, but that she would get me there. And let me tell you, yesterday I went from a bright blue/green to Khaleesi level blonde, and it looks amazing!! Angie is a miracle-worker and I could not be more grateful. It is pricy $$$, but with hair you get what you pay for!!! Just check out their Instagram, it is enough to let you know that no one leaves their salon looking less than fabulous!

I'm good friends with the staff now and have been to Salon130 to get my hair done recently :) I personally love that their stylists are beautiful and have a personality along with great hair. Its important to me that the person styling and cutting my hair takes good care of themselves as well. I wouldn't take gym advice from someone that isn't in shape. I'm very glad to see that there are very little if not any negative reviews :) They honestly take good care of me and everyone I've referred. If you have concerns or feel indifferent after, you should honestly tell them on the spot. They go the extra mile to make sure you're happy. If you want to have a good time while sitting down go here, if you're too sensitive don't. Best hair salon in Ottawa by far. Keep it up! See you soon :)

Firstly, the girl who did my hair was really kind. I showed up really early hoping that they could take me in and they did which was awesome. I’ve had my hair done many times but I am by no means an expert. I asked for a blow out with flips (I’m not sure if the stylist knew what that meant) and that’s not what I was given. She didn’t section any of my hair off and seemed to just be going at it randomly. She also blew right into my ears many times which felt not so great.. It’s a very pretty salon with a nice atmosphere but I wouldn’t definitely not go back since the service didn’t really feel professional, and certainly didn’t feel like it was a $40 job.

Had an absolutely wonderful cut today at this salon! I had called the same day asking for their earliest appointment, and was slotted for the same afternoon. My stylist seemed new but absolutely nailed my haircut and always checked in throughout the process to make sure it was what I wanted. I love this place and would not go anywhere else in the city to get my hair done. I've had services with both Shannon and Lydia, who are both amazing! Lydia cut and coloured my hair this past week and I could not be more happy with the result. The layered cut she gave me looks amazing even when I let it air dry (I told her that I'm pretty low maintenance with my hair routine, and she definitely listened). I felt terrible when I learned that they only accept cash tips as I did not have any cash on me that day - she definitely deserved a great tip! Would definitely recommend Salon 130.

I was scheduled with Lydia, who was ready for me as soon as I got there. As this her first time cutting my hair, so we had a good consultation before starting to make sure we're on the same page. She displayed a great attitude and a pleasant demeanour throughout the entire appointment, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. This salon is most literally the BEST! Desire is my hair dresser and she is honestly a damn angel sent from above! I walked in there a couple of months ago with jet black hair. I now have BEAUTIFUL lilac hair with a purple smokey dark root. She cracks jokes and makes you feel so comfortable! She's talented and incredible company. Wonderful place! Very friendly staff. I got my hair done here for my wedding and I'm very happy with the way I looked. I even had some issues with the wind and I was able to come back in after my appointment for a touch up and emergency outfit change before my ceremony.

I had my hair done by Bianca, I was very very pleased with how great my hair looked. I asked for a balayage and showed Bianca the colour I was looking for and I got exactly what I wanted. I never expected to get the exact colour I was looking for but to my surprise Bianca was very knowledgable about the work she does and makes sure to listen to clients to ensure satisfaction. My blow dry was done by Mel who did an amazing job at styling my hair the way I asked for. The Victoria secret bombshell curls is what I wanted and it's exactly what I got. She was very informative about the products she was using in my hair along with informing me of the benefits of the products. Mel was super sweet and I loved chatting with her. I was visiting Ottawa for an event where I need to look glam so I chose Salon130 based on the reviews and because they were open on Sunday. I was lucky to book an updo appointment with Lydia who is a hair genius! I brought in a photo of the hair style I was looking for and she was able to reproduce it exactly how I imagined. Lydia took a lot of care to make sure that all the hair pins were sitting correctly and securely so I wouldn't be discomforted or have my hair fall out of place. It definitely worked, because my hair lasted over twelve hours and I received compliments all night long. Thank you Lydia for doing such an amazing job! I might have to come back to Ottawa so I can get you to cut and colour my hair too.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Visited Salon130 for a partial balayage and cut with Vince late Friday evening and it was undoubtedly the best hair appointment I've ever had. I have a tendency to get very nervous about haircuts and this was my first colour ever. Vince was nothing short of incredible, he was friendly, but patient with my nervousness, he was attentive to what I asked for, and kept me in the loop about what was happening to my hair in each step of the process. I really appreciate that he was not only amazing at his job but he was honest and unapologetic about what looks good and what doesn't, he really puts his craft and your hair first. The salon as a whole is very clean and modern, and the prices are very competitive and reasonable, just an overall great experience. I personally will definitely be back!

A few weeks ago, I went to Salon 130 and was greeted by several friendly, professional staff that did their best to make me comfortable the moment I walked in. After a relaxing hair wash and scalp massage, I got my haircut from Angie, a wonderful hair stylist who knows her craft well. She is friendly with a great personality, and so easy to talk to. She gave me exactly the haircut I asked for and I left with a smile on my face. Best of all not only did my hair cut look good when I left the Salon 130, but with very little daily maintenance it stayed looking great for weeks. I will definitely return to the Salon and see Angie again very soon.

You're never made to feel like you're just another client, you always know you will receive special attention at Salon130. This is why Michelle Le has been my Hair Stylist for the pat 12 years. Aside from her impeccable talent, she also pays attention to her clients needs. She takes that extra step to ensure you're happy with your salon experience. I still remember the first time I saw her working her magic on a client while visiting a salon for an appointment and i knew right away she had to be my hairdresser! From that point on I made sure she always worked on my hair. I followed her to where she is today at her own salon and never looked back! I get a lot of compliments on my hair and I owe it all to Michelle. I have always recommended her and Salon130 to everyone I know, anyone who has gone to try it have also been impressed and continue to go there. Michelle doesn't just style my hair she takes care of my hair! Great experience and great haircut. Googled haircut places and I'm glad I gave this one a chance. Here's why: As a guy it's sometimes hard to get the haircut that you want. In my experience, most times hair stylists actually ignore how I want my hair cut. They pretend to listen and then just cut it all off. This is hard, especially when as a guy you like your hair a little bit on the long side and it takes so long to grow it back. My hair stylist was Michelle, who I learned is also the owner. She did a great job. I had my hair washed pre-cut and after the haircut (in my experience most places don't wash my hair post-cut). Highly recommend it guys!

The stylists are really competent, professional, and friendly and make sure you know what you're requesting before they actually give you the cut. This was the first time I have ever dyed my hair and so inherently, I was extremely nervous. Lydia, my hairstylist, was extremely understanding of this fact and assured me that she would take great care of my hair. And she totally did! Ain't no better way to spend a Friday morning then at Salon 130. The BEST spot in Ottawa to get pampered. They hang my coat and offer me something to drink as soon as I walk in and always treat all their clients like royalty. Special thanks to Celia for a beautiful haircut that I love. It was risky and nerve racking to cut off 10 inches of hair but she made it easier by being super reassuring and offering amazing advice. And a HUGE thanks to Desiree for working her magic on my hair. I tend to go super copper/orange whenever I try to get highlights, yet she gave a shiny ashy blonde ombre that give so much texture and dimension to my hair. She was very realistic and showed me different options of what she could do, always offering the best advice and taking my hair health into consideration. Came back for my appointment and was offered coffee, tea or water before being whisked to the hair washing station and having one of the best shampoo and scalp massages ever. My experience with Bianca was totally amazing. I came in with brown roots and yellow blonde balayage. I wanted silver colour melt, and that's exactly what I got. She spent 4 hours with me to make sure my hair was absolutely perfect. She applied lightener to my hair 3 separate times to ensure my blonde lifted well and evenly. She helped me choose the perfect shade of silver toner that would work well over my blonde, then she did an awesome violet shadow root that makes the look really pop. I was really amazed to how committed she was and how hard she worked to ensure I was totally happy with my new look .I would recommend Bianca to anyone wanting their stylist to go the extra mile and pay attention to detail. She did her absolute best to turn my hair into what I pictured, while still being realistic and explaining what was possible to accomplish in one visit.

I tried Stella, which was super disappointing and unprofessional. Not only did she not listen to what I wanted and did the exact opposite. I found her super unprofessional as SHE COLOURED HER HAIR WHILE SHE DID MY HAIR. Yes you heard right. I couldn’t even believe the salon allowed her to do that. So not only did I get pass on to various stylists. She gave me absolutely no attention, left my bleach in too long and charged me a blow dry and style when I clearly said no. What a gem of a place this is! Great staff and cool ambiance! You might wait a few minutes before your appointment but who minds waiting when there is dedicated and attentive staff ready to offer you something to drink and make you feel welcome. I definitely recommend this place and will be making it my new go to for all matters hair; was impressed with the variety of products available for purchase. My experience at this salon was absolutely terrifying as a black women. This establishment does not hire hairstylist capable of doing curly/black hair textures. I wish I had checked the reviews before because I am seeing other black women who have had similar experience. They could not do a simple blowout on my hair and told me to leave after I asked if there was anyone capable of doing my hair. I also asked if they had any black staff because they were trying to tell me this is how my hair is suppose to look. You would think in year 2020 they would attempt to do better but they simply do not care.

I just had my hair cut with a Groupon by Shannon at Salon 130, and start to finish it was one of the most pleasant experiences at a salon I've ever had. She offered my a beverage right when I got there and didn't rush at all, she really took her time to discuss what I wanted to get out of my haircut and make some suggestions as to how she could reshape a bad haircut from a different salon. honestly one of the nicest stylists I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with, and she did an awesome job at softening out my long layers and finding a haircut that suited me better. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone, and to definitely ask for Shannon!! Make sure you bring cash with you though, as their debit machine doesn't have a tip option, and these stylists definitely deserve it! Awesome work and great atmosphere!

Hi, although it says "Pierre" is giving this review, it is actually Kate! I wanted to thank Shannon and Michelle for the best hair colour (Shannon) and the best haircut (Michelle) ever by both. Both the cut and colour are beautiful -- so much so that as I walked into our condo, my husband's first words were: "wow, the nicest colour I have seen on you and the best cut ever" -- now, he is not one to comment that quickly on my hair but he has always noticed that I got it cut or coloured -- usually, he likes whatever I do but this compliment was so quick and spontaneous that I felt so great! Two weeks later my hair is still beautiful and so easy to manage. Thank you Shannon and Michelle!

I have had my share of bad experiences at hair salons, particularly because I have curly hair and sometimes I've had people lop off a lot more hair than I've asked for (which isn't fun when it comes to curly hair... my hair when dry is 2x shorter than when wet). Not just that, my last experience at my previous hair salon was a 4 hour long excursion (and I had just wanted a wash, cut and blowdry!), with me waiting with wet hair while my stylist cheerfully coloured a walk-in's hair. It looks like I won't be having those kinds of experiences again. I called Salon 130 on a whim because I was leaving work early and had an appointment near the salon. They scheduled me for a same-day appointment (usually hard to come by downtown) with Vince, one of their newer stylists. Although he's new to Salon 130, Vince has had many, many years of training and has worked at Rinaldo's for several years. First off - I arrived a few minutes early. Vince took me in right away, not even wasting a minute to greet me and to ask whether I'd like a beverage. I was very impressed with Vince's ability to cut my hair to my liking: he was very sure to ask me how much I wanted cut off, and which side I part my hair to ensure that the layers were cut in properly. He also gave me the best blowout I've ever had! Looks like I've found my new hairstylist! Thank you Vince and the excellent crew at Salon 130, and see you in a few months!

Update: I hate to be this person to post a negative review but my second experience at this salon was surprisingly not a good experience. I booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance and yet I was still waiting almost an hour past the time I was booked for. I felt so disappointed arriving to my appointment early because I value their time, only to feel like they don't value my time. I would understand if it was just a walk-in but I booked this appointment way in advance. I would have even at least appreciated it if they told me it would take a longer wait. They are nice and good at what they do but good service also values the client's time. I've been to busier salons that took me in on time. I will never return to Salon130. --------- From the moment I entered the salon, I felt welcomed and was offered something to drink. The whole staff was super friendly and looked really happy to be there. I had my hair cut by Lydia who did an awesome job on my hair. I came in not knowing what I wanted to do with my hair and she knew what would be best for it. She was also very nice to chat with and was very knowledgeable as I kept asking questions about hair. She gave me a lot of tips on what I can do to make my hair healthier and genuinely wanted to help me be happy with my hair.

Originally came here on a whim while I was visiting Ottawa on business. Now I live here and go to Desiree every time! She did a great balayage & purple fashion colour and just recently chopped a decent amount off my hair. I will continue going there, it's always a nice outing. I have been getting my hair done at Salon130 for over 2 years now and I have always had an amazing experience. I was compelled to write a review today because I recently got my hair done and was EXREMELY impressed with how my appointment was handled considering the new pandemic guidelines that are in place. I had originally had an appointment booked in March, that obviously needed to be moved due to the pandemic. The salon called me right away to moved it to a later date and posted regular updates on their instagram for reopening details and what was going on with people's appointments. When they were ready to reopen they posted very clear instructions about how everything was going to work and I got my appointment scheduled easily. When I went in for my appointment everyone was following the new safety guidelines - wearing masks at all times and keeping distance. I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe and always felt really well taken care of. Angie did an absolutely phenomenal job with my colour- a blonde balyage- and Michelle did a great job with my cut I would 100% recommend this place for colour and cut. I have never been disappointed in the 2 years I've been going!

My very first visit to Salon 130, what an incredible experience! After years of bouncing around salons trying to maintain my naturally dark hair as light blonde, I have finally found my forever salon. I was blessed with Bianca, who when I said I wanted highlights as I'm slowly trying to grow out my natural dark hair from the bleached blonde it's been for 20+ years, suggested balayage instead. I'm a nervous one about my hair and hate change but she was so professional and assured that I relented. She didn't bleach my hair (a first!), but dyed my awful roots a beautiful light brown, cascading down to a perfect blonde tone in the most beautiful way! Not only that, but she sensed my anxiety about slowly growing out the blonde, so added some gentle highlights so I wasn't completely shocked by the transformation. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome and will be a long time customer! On a side note, I thought that I would be paying a fortune for colour, highlights, lowlights, toner, blowdry, etc. All these services cost me way less than a simple root dye/toner/blow dry at EVERY OTHER salon in Ottawa! Amazing experience 10/10 ❤️

I came into Salon 130 to have a consult with Angie, after an absolutely horrible experience at another salon. I was so upset and disappointed that I refused to wear my hair down. Angie promised she could fix it, and she came through! What I had originally wanted, after never having dyed my hair before, was a low key balayage (my natural colour into an ashy brown/blond cool tone). What I got was 3/4 of my hair bleached blond (way too blond) and was sent on my way. I made the mistake of going to a salon that clearly had no idea what they were doing, and I truly regret not finding out about Salon 130 to begin with. Angie sat me down and explained to me her game plan. I showed her some photos of new colour styles that maybe we could get my hair to, and she was honest and upfront with me from the start. She explained why it wouldn't look what I was looking for at this point, (hair too far dyed)but fully explained what she was going to do to fix it. She worked really hard to correct it, and it turned out amazing. I would highly recommend going to Angie and the team at Salon 130. They were very accommodating and Angie was an absolute gem! She worked her magic and fixed my hair. I love it now!

Ange cuts my hair here. Always listens to what I want and gives me her opinion as a professional what can/should be done with my cut. My hair is thick and kind of coarse, and is notoriously difficult to cut properly. It got to the point a couple years ago where I had honestly given up on finding a good stylist. I kept trying different barbers and salons and was always unsatisfied by the result. Ange nails it though. She keeps my wavy fringe, gets the side short, and doesnt make my head look too round. I have been coming here for almost 3 years, saw many different stylists and always received professional and amazing service. When I first came in my hair was permanent box dye black and I wanted to go back to my natural light brown hair color with a blonde balayage... my stylish had a good laugh at my wish and was very honest with me explaining that it would take many appointments to get the results I wanted. They’re on strict timelines with COVID and the booking process but if you’re direct about what you’re getting and on time then there shouldn’t be any issue. They sent me multiple text messages confirming my appointment. Parking at World Exchange Plaza is $5/hour so I don’t see how anyone is paying $50 in parking..

After reading reviews and hearing a few recommendations I decided to give Salon 130 a try, and take advantage of the 50% voucher I received. I had Lydia and she was very sweet, honest and was very knowledgeable. She was great at explaining what she was doing and what the products would do for my hair, and she put the quality of my hair first - all of which I really appreciated! One thing I will say is that my appointment took almost 3.5 hours for balayage. I omitted getting my hair cut because I had plans that I had to rush to. I don’t blame Lydia whatsoever - it seems like the salon was overbooked and everyone had a crazy day. When I got home I noticed my hair was not parted down the middle; it was kind of all over the place (very minor thing though - it’s something I can easily fix) and my hair felt really greasy from the products used in my hair. I’m very happy with the colour of my hair overall, but I think I would have been happier if the colour went higher up into my roots, which is what brought me to book the appointment. I definitely think I’ll return though, and hopefully on a less busy day :)

My first visit to Salon130 was about 8 months ago, and I have had 3 appointments since then, all of them with Angie. I can’t express how much I love this salon. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the friendliest, kindest ladies who always have a smile on their face. Even at the busiest times, they still make me feel welcome and like I am part of their family. The salon is bright, clean, and in a great location. As for Angie, I have loved every haircut that she has given me. I have thick, curly, stubborn hair and I always have difficulty finding someone who knows how to cut it properly. I have tried many other salons in Ottawa and this is the only one I have kept going back to because it is always a great experience and Angie is a miracle worker with my hair. She is very attentive and always makes sure we are on the same page before doing anything to my hair. She is sweet, easy to talk to, and fun to be around. I do get charged an extra $10 on every haircut because of the thickness of my hair, but this is understandable, and the prices are already very reasonable to begin with so I don’t mind paying this extra fee. I always look forward to my appointments at Salon130 and I am so happy I found a place I can go back to knowing that they will do a great job every time. Thank you Angie and thank you Salon130!

Salon 130 was recommended to me by some friends. After hearing so many great things about Shannon and the salon and seeing the results myself, I decided to schedule an appointment. I haven't looked back! Shannon is truly fantastic. For 6 years I had black, box dyed hair and I really was craving a change to lighten my hair. I knew it would not be a quick process. When I met Shannon, she set realistic goals with me, explained everything in detail and made sure we were always on the same page before starting. She also assured me she would not do anything that she thought would be too damaging to my hair. All this to say, I LOVE the way my hair has turned out and I so pleased! Going into the haircut I was really nervous. My hair had been incredibly damaged by a relaxer treatment and I was struggling to find what would work with it. However, my hair dresser Bianca resolved everything! She was super nice and incredibly good. Everything she did was precise and her advice was amazing. She even went as far as to line up all the products I need so I could take a picture and have me a detailed procedure of what I should do to replicate the style she did on my own. Recently got new hair cut and color. Love the ambiance and the girls are super nice. I have very fine hair and the stylist was able to do a bob hair cut that suited my needs. But the reason i'm not giving 5 stars, was that my color did not turn out very well. The highlights she put was of a blonde/greenish tone to it.....She had done 2 toners since i guess the first one was not good enough......Now i'm shampooing with Sunlight dish soap to get that green tone out. Not too happy with color....

So great! They were incredibly accommodating as I have a hair dye allergy. They ordered in dye especially for me after I wasn't happy with how the bleach-only colour turned out (not their fault at all; I just initially had said I didn't want toner because of my allergy and unfortunately bleached hair can sometimes turned a bit yellow!). They were very eager to make sure I was happy with my service and made me feel super comfortable despite being a bit nervous about the allergen-free dye. I am sooo impressed with the service that I am even going out of my way to write this review! Well worth the price, I will be returning for sure. Mel gave me a great cut and colour placement for balayage, and Shannon, their master colourist, took me on as a client to apply the toner/dye to make sure I felt 150% comfortable. Go here!!

Shannon is awesome! I came in with a "bad balayage" and she fixed it to look better than I had hoped it would turn out! Salon 130 is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Love it! Highly recommend! Vince is extremely talented as well! He gave me soft, natural, vibrant highlights and a great cut! Michelle and Shannon seem to attract the best talent Ottawa has to offer! ????⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I came in for a cut and balayage and I am LOVING it! Jennifer did an amazing job and really tried to achieve the colour I was going for. She successfully lightened my (very) dark hair and got it looking the way I wanted. I've been to salon 130 multiple times now and I've never been disappointed. Most professional and experienced hair services you’re going to get in Ottawa. It’s sad that the pandemic has shut down salons because of the protocols, but when it reopens and you want a great haircut or an exceptional hair colouring service, I urge you to try this place. You won’t be going to any other place after that. I have extremely dark hair naturally, and I’ve had a beautiful ashy blonde balayage done from salon130. I’ve gone to many salons in the east end and downtown that have wrecked my hair from bad products.
