I go to this place quite often. Tony is very friendly. He gives you a consistent hair cut every time. All you need to do is show him the picture of your last hair cut. I would have given a 5 star, but my last visit wasnt that great. He happened to use a faulty trimmer that gave me a cut on the back of my neck. He stopped using the trimmer right away. But tried not to show that part when he held the mirror to show the back of my head. I later realized the bruises. I hope the trimmers are sterilized frequently.

This place is awesome! I have long hair and following Covid it had no shape at all. Tony took his time to show me the perfect long layer cut and was informative through the entire cut. He did not cut off too much and was aware of how us long hair girls feel about getting too much taken off. This was my first time here and I’ll definitely be going back.

Great hair cut...yes..it might be a couple of dollars more than First Choice or Great Clips...BUT...a far superiour cut...and a family owned business...which means service and hospitality is as important as the product...in this case a haircut....definitely worth the $2 more...100% Will be back for sure....5 out of 5 in my opinion.

My amazing hairdresser moved away and I was left without someone to look after me. I went to several hairdressers in Oshawa over a couple of years. Each one made a mess with both colour and cuts. Then I went to a school of hairdressing during COVID as it was nearby. Each time I went they made it worse...cut my bangs wrong, left my hair with jagged ends...coloured it incorrectly and left me in a mess. All that being said they were not cheap! I found Tony a few days ago through the endless good reviews he got. He returned my call quickly. Today, I went to see him with ideas of what would be done to my hair ...a cut and a colour. I wanted him to strip it and not cut shorter lengths until the next time I saw him. He did everything to get me to understand why that was not a good idea. I of course was already in a terrified state due to the others who had messed up my hair, so was resistant to his ideas. He didn't get frustrated. He didn't get annoyed. He just persisted. FINALLY I understood and let him do what he suggested with an alternative method of removing part of the colour this time and again next time I see him. Then colour it the following appointment. We now have a PLAN for my hair that we agree on and will work on over several appointments as it grows. He is so delightful. He is outgoing. An amazing talker. And we are from the same neighbourhood and just "get" each other. I am so familiar with the prestigious place he learned his trade in Toronto back in the day and the platinum reputation that salon had. An excellent hair dresser is one of the most important people in an individual's life. With bad hair we are miserable. With good hair we are happy and at peace. Thank you Tony. Long may you brandish your scissors. I will be back. I will update as we move along in the plan. ; D

It took longer than I expected (I had mid length hair), but Tony put time and care into his work, and it showed. He was very informative and friendly, explaining in details why he would recommend this style over another. I took his recommendation without regrets. I returned in June for my first ever highlight. This took almost a whole afternoon, but Tony was very entertaining, making time go by unnoticed. He refreshed my haircut, touched up the hair roots before Bibi did the highlights. I won't be going anywhere else until Tony retires.

Tony did an amazing job on my hair and he specializes in long hair! it was all straight and same length and he transformed it. My first time at Hairworx and as always- a bit apprehensive when it is your first time with a new hair stylist. Bibi understood my exact needs, the way I want the hair, and did the hair cut just the way I wanted. And yes- a lot of questions about how I would style my hair etc since she needed to understand my exact ask. She even suggested a minor change and it was good that I listened to her. At the end- took photographs so that the next time would be easier without the questions????. It was evident that she enjoys her work and when someone enjoys the work they do- the end result is always good.

They never take off too much, which I find is a BIG problem at most hair salons. They take the time to understand what look you want and they even explain what they will do to achieve it. If you have long hair and are scared to trust any salon dont hesitate to come here, they will take good care of you and your hair!

Biggest joke of a place. I have never been before and after I had made my appointment I was told STRICTLY CASH. I asked in shock that he was taking only cash, and he raised his voice telling me he’s only accepting cash. I then said I will need to cancel my appointment and he ignorantly said “ok then, bye” and hung up the phone on me. My first attempt at getting a haircut here and now he just lost a customer, also gaining a bad review. I hope it was worth it. I would never let someone who’s so ignorant touch a hair on my head, Seeing as they clearly only care about cash, and not customers.

I had sent my son to this hair place to get a hair cut from Tony. My son doesn't have a debit card or cash, so I was prepared to send Tony an E-transfer. Once my son was there, Tony wanted payment in full before the hair cut was started. I was a bit skeptical, so I called my son and spoke with Tony. What started off as an okay conversation, quickly turned into a conversation of someone being condescending and rude. While I offered to pay a 100$ deposit and the remainder after the hair cut was complete (to ensure that my son did, in fact, like his hair), Tony was completely against it and repeatedly asked what the "difference was" between paying it in full vs two installments. He stated he didn't know us, which is perfectly fine, however we also did not know him and only had reviews to go off of (which can sometimes be hit or miss). After a conversation which ended in my stating I will pay in full for the hair cut, he then, after we hung up, told my son that he was "disrespected" and "won't be cutting his hair today". If you're loooking for someone who is personable and professional, you're looking in the wrong place.
