The Absolute Worst Hairstyles of All Time!!!! Ever left the hairdressers in tears because of the absolute nightmare they styled onto your head? If so, you would understand my feelings. This is that place that everyone should avoid so as to not create memories and family photos that make you cringe forevermore. How could blond highlights end up in cruella deville with burned hairs with black highlights.

I went to Winnie with my father my brother. My dad always goes to Li’s and is happy with the service I went there and got a haircut, Winnie was very nice and she cut my hair the way I wanted. She cut all the splits at the end of my hair and gave my hair a nice layer. I highly recommend them.

Was searching for a decent place with my family all day until late (I just wanted a simple cut, but didn't wanna shell out $60) and we came across this place. Despite closing in literally 20mins, Sky (the stylist there at the time) still took us. We all got a wash cut for a decent price, and he did a good job. He was patient despite my constant change of mind, and he has a good humour. Will definitely return again!

I have been coming to this hair salon for the past year or so. I have sensitive scalp and I love their ammonia free hair dye. Winnie is always very friendly, personal and nice to talk to. Their prices are very reasonable and the products are great.

Me and my wife have going here for a year after trying out inumerous places . I highly recommend this salon for haircuts as well as all other salon services . (Summary: Best scalp massage, good lighting, nice people, and lots of parking!) (Edit: I've been there since then and they have tons of fantasy colours, which I'm excited to try next time. This time my hair was done by both Sky and Winnie. Winnie was very understanding when I explained how my autism can make it hard for me to take care of my hair and make me very anxious when it comes to trusting other people with it. I really appreciated that, considering how anxious I can get. And although I did get anxious, as I did warn that I tend to do, Winnie stayed totally calm, and that helped me stay calm too :) The result, like last time, was gorgeous - a beautiful dark green. Over time it slowly got a bit lighter as the toner faded, allowing the green to come through more which I liked. Will totally come back!!) I went in a few days prior to make sure that they could work with my hair dye (I brought Arctic Fox in Aquamarine). Upon the advice of the male hairdresser (who has great hair himself) I ordered an extra bottle which came in handy at my appointment a few days later. It's important to always go in person in advance when making an appointment for colour for any salon. The one fantasy colour they do carry looks like a medium warm purple. He did warn me that my hair would need to be lightened for the colour to show at my roots but said we could adjust it if it didn't come out right, especially considering the reddish highlights I wanted to cover. Day of, I believe a woman named Cici (sorry if I spelled that wrong) did my hair. She followed the bottle instructions as I requested, including heat, and it came out beautiful! She gave me the best, and I mean the BEST scalp massage I've ever had. And not a single drop of water went down my back. I also like that there's plenty of sunlight so I can accurately see my hair colour, versus the artificial lighting in many mall salons. My Dad also comes here for his haircuts by the male hairdresser and always leaves happy. They seem to have a lot of walk-ins and still take them when it's close to closing time if it's just a haircut. They accept debit and cash. If you pay in cash you don't have to pay HST!

Winnie gives a very good hair cut but it is very uncomfortable coming here if you are not Chinese as Winnie talks the whole time to the other stylist in Chinese (sorry I don't know if Cantonese or Mandarin) and they both ignore their customers and don't talk to them.

UPDATE: Came here pre-covid for a haircut and spent $18 (I have long hair). I went for a haircut today and spent $30. Not sure if they increased their prices because of covid but I find it hard to believe they need to charge almost double the original price now. ——————————————————- My family and I started going here when it first opened because it was cheap but as business picked up, so did it's prices. I came on a weekday a few weeks ago so it wasn't busy at all. The guy took his time with my hair which I liked, but he took more than the 2 inches I had asked to be trimmed off. I get that it's a business and they need to make a profit, but they're going to start losing customers if they keep increasing the price. There are other $8 hair salons in the Markham/Richmond Hill area that have been around for a while, so they should keep that in mind.

Also be careful since at Li's, the customer is always wrong somehow. And prices are based on race and hair colour. I wouldn't recomend it to anyone

Update, After 3 years of going to this salon for haircuts and straightening. [Done by the gentleman that works there] I have to say that I am really disappointed and actually depressed after the latest service. My hair is in a bob cut, wavy but very healthy, after straightening it always turned silky and shiny. But 3 weeks ago a new lady did the straightening and after almost 5 hours and 160 CAD the results were terrible, I was hopeful perhaps it needed conditioning, but it has been 3 weeks and no signs of improving. This time my hair is just horrible ultra frizzy, puffy and has no shine. My mom thought I had frizzed it on purpose. To me it looks like it was burned or she used the wrong chemicals. I did go back to ask what happened they offered to re-do it. I am afraid to go to trough 5 hours of heat and chemicals again I might only make it worse. I am trying to think it is just hair and it will grow back, but it is heart breaking to look at the mirror everyday and see my hair in this horrible state. :( before not a bad place but price is going up... :( i hope quality does not go down

The worse experience we have ever had! I took my mom for a haircut, before getting an appointment I have talked to Li two times! to confirm the appointment. When I wanted to pay she said I have to pay cash or debit!! I told her I just have my credit card with me and why she didn't mention in our two pervious call that I have to have cash or debit with me she said everybody have debit or cash with them!! I told her I can go home and e-transfer or get cash from an ATM and come back again!! But she didn't accept and she aske for my mom to be hostage there (in this COVIS situation)!! Or to leave my credit card there till I will come back because of $30 !!!!!! She was extremely rude and impolite and she didn't let us go till a lady customer who was there paid the (amount+tax if it was debit) $30 cash then we could leave the salon and I e-transferred the amount to that lady customer. I am so sorry for manager and it is not how they have to treat a customer.

$30 for a "blow-dry." My hair was yanked with a brush and dryer for 30 minutes from all angles before the stylist decided to use an iron on the rest. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach as soon as the appointment began as the stylist appeared to have never worked on curly hair before. He started prepping my dry hair and refused to make it wet first when I asked. When I later asked if this was his first time working on curly hair he said yes and "I'll do it my way," as he reached for the iron. He sighed impatiently a few times throughout the appointment. He also asked me to create tension for him and pull my head in the opposite direction he was pulling in... If I wanted my hair fried pin straight with an iron I would have done it at home. In fact, I could have done a much better job. Right now, my scalp hurts all over from all the yanking. When I asked how this process cost $30 I was told my hair type was the determining factor. My hair is thin and curly and I've had it blow-dried straight enough times to know what salon quality should have looked like. When he was finished, he briskly removed the cover over me pulling my hair hard in the process and not noticing or apologizing. He walked away muttering what I assumed to be the price to his co-worker in another language. I am extremely disappointed overall. Definitely not returning and definitely not recommending this place. Horrible experience.
