One of the best hair studios I have ever been to...staff and the stylists are all so welcoming, helpful and very patient with their customers...they spend as much time needed with you to get you your style. You will get the exact style you ask for. I booked an appointment here only because my usual barber was not available. Also, I thought this place was decent based on reviews but I wasn’t happy with my hair cut at all. I gave specific instructions on the cut and they managed to do the opposite. I’m glad my barber is back and I don’t have to go back here. P.S they don’t accept tips on the machine. I think little things like that should be addressed in this store.

The hair dressers here are fantastic! I've been going here for a couple years now, and have been getting my hair cut by David. I've been able to show him sketches and photos, and he can recreate whatever I've shown him, it's amazing! I enjoy having difficult hair styles, with varying degrees of cuts throughout, and have loved it every time. You can schedule appointments by email or by phone, and they will get back to you very quickly. You can view all the hair dressers online, and see who fits your style best. Highly recommend this place.

Had to book a long due hair cut and had just moved to Oakville. After doing some research booked it with Jay, and it was FANTASTIC! In addition, it saved commute costs. Jay was a doll, I've never experienced a hair stylist like him before. I was comfortable and he made sure I liked my hair cut and length of it.

Everyone here at this salon is absolutely amazing! The customer service is impeccable. From the moment you call, through your appointment, to the moment you leave, you feel valued and like a part of their family. The hairstylist I see Sabrina, she does an amazing job on achieving the colour you want, like image matching! Never before have I met someone this on point! Her friendliness and her caring attitude is like a warm cup of coffee in the morning; refreshing, warm, comforting, and a meaningful addition to your day. Also, with the cutting of the hair: she never takes off more then talked about. I would recommend you do yourself a solid and experience the best salon!

I had an incredible experience from the first point of contact (via Facebook), then on the phone with Front Desk Staff (very friendly and knowledgeable) and with the stylist (John) and I've been back already and will go back again and again. Staff is great and lots of expertise covered amongst the team, cozy atmosphere and great hours. Enjoy!

There is a great team at Mynt. Unlike some hair salons - The Studio has an unpretentious and friendly atmosphere. They also respect your time - and I have seldom been kept waiting. Cori is such an experienced stylist and I appreciate that she not only listens to what I wants, she will also offer an opinion as to whether it is realistic given my hair. She does everything she can to change things up when i want it. I always walk out of there feeling better than when i arrive - in part due to her humour but also because she is a really talented. When necessary one member of the team will sub in for another with no ego issues. Love this salon and their talented team!

I went in for a consultation before booking my appointment for the hair color. The stylist went through my hair for a cool 15 mins or moreas part of the consultation. The rates were discussed at the consultation and hence the appointment was made. On the day of the service (root touch up of my hair) the results were not as expected. One can clearly see the line differentiating the root touchup work and the rest of my hair. To add to that the 2nd lady to rough-dry my hair was pretty rough. She clearly wanted me to vacate the chair as soon as possible as she told me that my hair wasn’t dripping so it’s dry enough. This very lady billed me at the counter and gave me a bill that was more than what was told on the day of the consultation (a day prior to the appointment). On asking about the difference In the pricing she went back to discuss and came back with a reply which to me sounded as if she was doing me a favour. She said, “this time we will go ahead with the price that was told to you earlier but next time it will be more than that because your hair needed more color”. What’s the point of getting a consultation done for the whole hair and getting a price for the service when in the end you will charge whatever you would in any which way? And in return you come up with a reply sounding like a favour? Instead of apologizing for the difference in rates as per discussion versus what was asked, you have the audacity to tell me that next time you will charge more. I am sorry but you did me no favour by charging me exactly what was communicated and definitely there is going to be No next time for me. Thanks for the not so friendly behaviour lady. Basic root touch up gone wrong. Wish had gone to some other salon!

I’ll try to keep my review short. The women I got my hair done by was a senior hair stylist. One word - horrible. She kept bashing my hair. I’m coming to you for a service - not to be lectured. Yes, have your own opinion but don’t be rude. If you’ve said something once or twice that’s fine but don’t keep repeating it. It’s offensive and hurtful. I asked for a certain look and she failed to deliver. Anything I wanted she said wouldn’t look good. This is perhaps the MOST negative experience I’ve had getting my hair done. I get it you don’t have to agree with everything your client says, but your job is to try to make your client reasonably happy. How can you disagree with everything? Worst hair cut of my life and it started late. Everything felt rushed - even the shampoo. I basically want to wear a bag over my head till my hair gets back to what it was before. Thank you, Mynt for the cappiest experience I’ve ever had getting my hair done. I was incredibly irritated that I had to pay. Pure garbage.

Jay and David are my favourites but I’m confident everyone is exceptionally talented at this salon. This salon studio is amazing! I was abit nervous for my appointment as I am new to town and have not had the best experience with other salons since I have moved from the west coast. The stylist Jay made me feel very comfortable during our consultation. I showed him a picture of the look I was wanting to go for, he was very honest with what the outcome would be with the current colours that were in my hair. HE DID AN AMAZING JOB! I love the way my hair turned out, and have received so many compliments! The environment of the salon is so welcoming from all the stylists that were around during my appointment. I had overprocessed curly, dry, aged and red coloured hair that I wanted to change to a soft natural blonde sombre. Dan the owner of Mynt transformed it into a beautiful work of art. I left the salon with a beautiful, multi dimensional colour and healthy flowing hair. Everyone at the office loved loved it. Really wanted to give this place 4-5 stars, but honestly left much to be desired. I went a few years ago to this location too, and can't remember being satisfied in comparison to other salons I've been to. While the staff was mostly pleasant (which is why I gave it 2 stars) the service and results were lacking. I went in originally thinking that they could deliver the results I wanted, but the staff I encountered was quite discouraging, almost like she had given up on colouring my hair before she had even started. If this was such a problem, they should have asked me to come in for a consultation before they charged me an arm and a leg for unsatisfactory results. I give the place 2 stars instead of 1 because the manager was willing to see me for a second time when I complained, BUT, although he put dye in my hair the second time, he didn't even make the time to blow-dry it! Had to go home and do it myself! Never have had that experience before in any other salon I've been to. You think they would do everything they could to save a customer for repeat business! Although convenient location, definitely will not be going back to this place again when there are so many other salons out there.
